, ,, As always, Jim did a beautiful job. Jim is an exceptional "handyman" who is very skilled, responsible, trustworthy, practical and artistic. He has created two closets for us, one of those cedar, and completely rehabed two bathrooms. In the baths, he did everything from the demolition to completely creating new baths (new ceramic wall tiles, created a seat in a shower, laid the floor, installed new fixtures, toilet, sink, etc., etc. I heartily recommend him as a consummate professional.

Jim Anderson did a terrific job in all respects, prompty, professionally and at a very fair price.

All of Dave's work was superior. He was well-prepared and explained things very clearly. The only problem was getting time between his many clients. Smaller jobs don't have that problem. Some flexibility required.

Jim was very responsive, punctual and honest. He did a good job explaining how he is going to charge for the work performed. He works from the minute he arrives to the minute he departs. I never saw him take a break in the 8 hours he spent at my home each of the 2 days. He also makes a solid effort cleaning up.

He was 100% professional from start to finish. He was clear about his availability, set an agreed upon date/time to do the work and communicated in advance of that date/time to assure when he would be arriving that day. He provided a statement of work to be done - materials and labor in advance and requested a portion of the total cost as a deposit in advance. He arrived at the time that he stated and worked very diligently until done. He explained that his estimate of cost required changing because he had not anticipated the degree of rotten wood at the base. He made a trip to get additional supplies and explained that he would not charge me for that time. He repaired the posts so that the base trim is a non-wood product so that in the future I should not have to have additional work done due to rainy/moist weather. After the repairing, he painted the posts. With the light fixture, in spite of the fact that no installation or operational instructions were included in the packaging, he analyzed what needed to be done and assured that the light fixture was functional by testing it. I was 100% satisfied with his professionalism, skills, and quality work for a reasonable cost. I would recommend him to all friends who might ask me for a handyman recommendation.

This is the second time we used this contactor. He did an excellent job. The crown molding is nearly perfect.

Jim did a great job. He was very responsive when setting up the appointment and showed up on time. He gave me an estimate of how much time it would take to complete the projects and finished faster than expected. He was very easy to talk to and get along with while he was completing the tasks. I would definitely call on Jim again for future projects and recommend him to other members. In fact, my partner and I already discussed a larger lighting project that we want to do in our kitchen and just need to save up the money to do it - we'll be calling Jim back again soon.

When the contractor came for a quote, he let me know the work he would and would not do. It was good to hear from him what he would not do so i could look for someone who could. He was on time and did a very good job. For the threshold work he had to be creative to find a solution to a problem. I appreciated his quality and work.

Jim communicated with me at every step of the process, showed up promptly, did quality work, and charged very reasonable rates. An excellent contractor, would hire again.

Jim was great about communication - he provides a number to call, and responds to messages and emails promptly. Jim came over to take a look at the doors we had bought at Second Chance and the doorways, provided a quote via email, and performed the work over two days spaced 2 weeks apart. He could have come back for the second day sooner, but I had family visiting and requested a later date. Jim charged an hourly rate, and although he went over his original estimate of time, he had cautioned me that trying to fit old doors in older doorways is an inexact science. I could see why it took so long. At the end of each of the two days he provided a paper invoice and I wrote a check before he left. Throughout the experience Jim was professional. He was creative in coming up with solutions, and the craftmanship was very good. I would highly recommend him. The best part about Your Handy Man & More was that it was a traditional craftsman's transaction: quote first, then work, then payment upon completion. No online "coupons" that you buy before getting told when someone can come out or any of that nonsense I saw from other providers.

Jim Anderson is by far the best contractor I have used for home improvements. He is a gentleman to deal with. There were no surprises in costs, materials or workmenship. He communicated daily (by evening email) as to what was done and any question he or I might have had. By doing this he was always able to hit the ground running the next morning. The quality of his work was excellent. His puncuality unbelievable. His cleanup each day a real surprise. This project involved some demolition, sheetrocking, painting, tiling, plumbing and electrical work. All were done professionally and the way I asked they be done. I would not hesitate to trust Jim with my next improvement project. I would heartily recommended Jim and "Your Handiman and More" to anyone who needs work done and wants to deal with an honest, hard working guy..

Until we moved out of the area, Jim Anderson was my go-to handyman. We hired him several times over the course of the past 10 years and recommend him highly. He has done everything from installing crown molding to changing out hardware on kitchen cabinets. He is fair and trustworthy. He works until the job is finished and you are happy with the results.

Jim was prompt, professional and did great work...we would highly recommend.

We noticed some minor leaks on interior walls, 2nd floor, that were directly under the dormers. Having been on the roof before a steep grade, I figured the dormers were the issue. I contacted them and they were very nice. I explained how high the dormers were and when they arrived they had the appropriate ladders. I had agreed to get the supplies (which they offered to supply their own but said would be cheaper if I supplied them). Then clearly understood what needed to be done and even fixed a piece of siding. They worked efficiently and were done much sooner than I expected. Really enjoyed the experience.

It went well. Jim Anderson is excellent. Always on time. Professional. Reasonably priced. I use him whenever I have things that need to be fixed around the house. Putting up ceiling fans, fixtures, installing mail box post. Jim is incredibly handy and easy to work with.

Jim examined the pictures that I sent him and stated the he never saw a hinge like that cemented to the porcelain. I followed his instructions and proceeded very slowly... sure enough IT WORKED! after about 10 minutes of drilling I was able to cut off the hinge and install a new lever. Jim could have came over to my house to make some quick cash..... but he didn't. He answered my question, within a few hours and gave me some good advice. ***** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, I WOULD USE HIS SERVICES AGAIN *****

Jim did a great job. He worked efficiently and around the family schedule. The work quality was high and Jim left the area clean.

He came today right on time. He was here from 11-4; he fixed the hole and matched up the paint perfectly. He was very nice and I would recommend him to anyone.

Jim worked throughout the house in a efficient manner include work in two bathrooms putting up medicine cabinets, shelves, and mirrors. Jim did a great job and we will contact him again for additional work.

Jim is fantastic. If you are used to dealing with contractors or vendors, you know how hard it is to just find someone who does what they say they will do. We don't want a superhero or expect miracles, we just want a guy who is honest, on time, does what he promises and doesn't promise stuff he can't do. I would definitely recommend Jim if you have a small Handyman job. Working with him was like working with a friend. I see some of the other reviews mention that he can be a little difficult to get ahold of, but remember he's working on his own, so he doesn't have a staff of receptionists taking calls. This was a really quick job, and we did not want to pay an electrician because it would have been more expensive. Some handyman services did not want to come out for such a quick job, but Mr. Andersen did. We have nothing negative to say - he knew what he was doing, he told us what his fix was, and told us that he was ~$75 an hour. The job turned out to be less than an hour, but he did not bill us for materials and the final bill was $75. I would use his services again for little home improvement jobs that we know are out of our area of expertise.

I am so happy we found Jim on Angie's List. He was wonderful and took care of all those repairs that just build up, you know the kind that you don't have time, energy or know-how to fix yourself. I think we'll be seeing Jim fairly regularly around our house. You want to keep your home in good repair for when the time comes to sell, but it's so easy to ignore those little things. i always think how silly it is to let everything go and then when you sell your house you have to make all these repairs so that the house looks like new?but you can't enjoy it, because you are moving! So we try to keep up with repairs, and now that we found Jim, I don't have to worry about being ripped off and not having the work done correctly.

Overall, Jim was excellent and I will definitely use him again for other work. It took a few attempts to get in touch at first, but once we were able to talk about the details of the job and set the appointment, everything was great. He was extremely professional but also friendly. I also greatly appreciated his punctuality; when he was delayed 15 minutes due to traffic he called to let me know, something many contractors don't bother to do. I am pleased with the job he did and hope to be able to use him again in the future.

Jim was very responsive to my e-mails, and stopped by my home to review my "to do" list and ensure he arrived with all the supplies needed. Jim arrived on the date and time I identified based on my work schedule. He replaced /repaired 4 light fixtures, including 3 installed in a drop ceiling. He repaired peeling paint on a door, which I had attempted to repair, replaced a doorbell, hung shelves, and several other odds & ends. Jim had to go to the store for an alternate light fixture. He didn't charge me for the run to the store, which was a very nice surprise. I am very happy with all Jim's work; his card is hanging on my fridge, I will definitely use him in the future.
