The GFI in my kitchen began popping over the weekend. When it would pop all the outlets on the circuit would stop working. At first it was just an annoyance but when it was doing that every few hours I became concerned. The last time it popped I got a shock when I tried to reset. At first, they were supposed to come and do the repair on Thursday, but after I got the shock I called back and they were able to work me in on Wednesday. The problem turned out to be ants! They had gotten between the exterior and interior wall in my kitchen and then had decided the outlet was a good place to hang out. Many, many of them were fried! The electrician removed the damaged receptical and sprayed the area with bug spray (which I had on hand). He then installed a new GFI. The work went quickly and Eric (the technician) was pleasant and professional.

The overall process went well. They replaced the outlet and electrical cord o the dryer. The only problem we experienced was that the appointment was scheduled for noon to 1PM. The electrician and his assistant arrived about 2:15PM. I felt that if they were going to be late, they should have called with an approximation arrival time.

I contacted Winn electric because my 50 year old NuTone wall door chime was not working.Technician arrived at appointed time and was very efficient and thorough in checking the circuitry,transformer and all aspects of the chime operation.He determined that the chime had ceased to function due the failure of several critical parts and the chime could not be repaired because parts were unavailable for such an old chime.Consequently I purchased a new chime and made an appointment to have it installed the next day.Technician Oran arrived and installed the new door chime .He was very courteous and installed the chime and demonstrated how the chime worked.I was very impressed with the entire proess from start to finish!I received a twenty five dollar discount form Winn as first user of their services which lowered the bill to $145.00.Can't beat that!

The job was done to my utmost satisfaction and I would certainly call Winn Electric the next time I need any electrical work.

Arnold had been a godsend electrician for me. I have used them multiple times and whenever I need them they jump right on things. Arnold is professional, humorous, and completes great work. This is the same for his team as well. I recommend this company to others.

Making the appointment with Winn, the person answering the phone had full confidence they were able to fix it. This was after disappointing phone calls to other garage door service providers who would not even look at anything but the brand name garage doors they sold.The Winn Technician showed up on time and fixed it and now, life is good!

We were doing some remodeling. The general contractor and our decorator wanted some electrical changes. We had used Winn Electric for many years and called them again. We were a little concerned in that Bill Winn had recently retired, but they responded to our call very promptly. They came to our house at the scheduled time, gave us an estimate, and offered good advice. Once we decided exactly what we wanted, they scheduled us within a couple of days, showed up on time again, and did the worked as discussed. As the job progressed, we made a couple of changes, which they handled easily.

We woke up the morning after a storm to the smell of something burning in our basement. We've had a problem similar in the past and had it fixed (It was an outlet shorting), so we figured it was the same thing, but really wanted someone to take a look at it promptly. We called the company we used prior (NOT WINN) and they were able to come out in 9 days. So much for loyalty for existing customers. So I turned to Angie's list, read the reviews for Winn, and gave them a call. They were able to come out that same day, provided a window they would arrive, called to let us know they were on the way, arrive on time and diagnosed and repaired the problem. We are completely satisfied with the service we received and were thrilled they were able to come the same-day even as NEW CUSTOMERS. So...we'll be returning customers now. Thanks for great customer service.

Winn Electric was so wonderful. My husband had to have a heart pump implanted and we live in an area of town that loses power often and for long periods of time. When I told Winn about this, they were out here almost before I could get off of the phone. The electricians that were sent were so professional and took a lot of the burden off of me in dealing with the power company. I am calling them again to perform some more work in the house. I would highly recommend Winn Electric to anyone needing electrical services.

They were fine. We worked with the person who was ahead of the company then another crew ended showing up for the work, which is no big deal. I don’t want to knock them for that. The only thing I had small problem with, it’s not horrible but they never really gave me an invoice on what they were going to do or how much they were going to charge. I figured they would look at it. They figured out what the problem was and then let me know what it would be to fix it. That being said they did fix one of our pesky problems, which was very beneficial for us. However, we didn’t get a bill for two weeks. It was just a flat bill. There was no invoice to that bill. There was no itemization of the bill. That was the only small frustration from my point of view. I wish they had told me how much they were going to charge us first or at least mention it in the final bill. I can’t tell now if they charged me for something they really didn’t do. That would be my only knock. Otherwise, they were very friendly. They worked hard and quickly. The work they did was complicated because the light was connected to other lights so there was a little bit of work for them to figure out what was going on with it. When they replaced the switch I originally had, they discovered that my switch was not working so they replaced the switch. They also fixed a couple of other items in our house. Two of them were things that I can fix. One of them they claimed that they did some rewiring on. I honestly don’t know if they did or did not. It certainly works better since they had been here. Their explanation to me was that it was just a minor issue without being said they may have done some rewiring to the switch or the wireless remote switch that ended up letting it work. I can’t say that for sure. Since I don’t have an invoice I don’t know if they under charged me, over charged me or what happened. I know they did a fertile job to fix it but I’m not a hundred percent sure, if that was something I could have done too. Whatever they did works. They were responsive in the beginning but we didn’t get the bill for couple of weeks from them. The owner who had contacted us wanted us to call back. I called a couple of times but I heard from them weeks after I made those calls. They were on time. They were here when they said they were going to be here. They were good to work with but there were few things that they need to work on like the invoice. The billing is my biggest problem. We haven’t tackled it with them yet and we are not sure if we want to tackle it or just pay it. Their bill surprised us; we were not expecting that much.

The estimator arrived on time but with a bluetooth headset hanging on his ear. While trying to explain to him what work we wanted to have done, our conversation was interrupted 5 times by telephone calls. The estimator said that the electrical receptacle in the fireplace would have to be installed in a way I didn't want. (The company I actually used said it would be no problem to install it the way I wanted, and they did it that way.) Winn recommended an attic fan that was inappropriately small for the size of our attic. In addition, the attic fan installation estimate only included running an electric line to the attic and delivering the actual fan. I had to find a roofer myself to cut the hole in the roof and complete the installation (which I expected I would have to do). However, when I asked Winn for names of reputable roofers they have worked with in the past, they could not or would not name one. They simply replied, "Use anyone you want."

They did an outstanding job, well worth the price. They were professional, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. I had them hang numerous large light fixtures and do a little bit of additional work. They are on the more expensive side, but it is worth the price for this level of professionalism.

They responded very quickly to my initial request. They had to come back repeatedly as new problems turned up. They didn't charge any more for this. I always use Winn for my electrical work, and have found them to be faster, more reasonably priced, more honest, and much more intelligent than other electricians I've used.

Everything has went wonderfully. I have used them before and they always do exactly what I tell them to do. They are always prompt as well.

I called Winn Electric in desperation to install my electric range, they showed up at 900am the next day, fixed everything, did not waste time, I paid the bill and everything was working.

Went well, they showed up when they were supposed to, cleaned up after themselves, did the job efficiently and in the period of time they said they would.

They showed up on time, left on time, and left my house as clean as it was when they started. The owner also offered suggestions on other projects I was considering. We had used 6 other electricians before hiring Winn. All of whom were unreliable, and lowered our expectations on electric work in general. When Winn came in, they did a great job. We will use them again.

Everything went well and they did a very neat job of everything. They were on time and they were excellent with follow up. I would recommend them.

Would have been fine if the porch light had worked when they left. The owner had to come back to make it work. I had two plugs installed in the basement instead of the three on the estimate but I was charged for three. The bill was lowered without a problem.

The electricians did a good quality installation of the new 200 AMP panel. The electrical inspector readily approved their work. Their quote was equal to another quote I received.

Winn installed poorly designed set of 4 uplights in 2001. EVERY burned out bulb (since 2001) had to be replaced by Winn because sockets keep buring out & need replacement as well. When 1st bulb burned out, Winn had ME call mfg to ask if they would supply free sockets. It's clearly a poorly designed light & every time bulb burns out I should not have to call mfg, order sockets & then call Winn to replace at $125 per hour, but it's happened several times in 4 years. They sold me defective product. I asked them to give me price consideration, but they tell me warranty was 90 days, the charge is $125/hr, call mfg AGAIN & use lower watt bulbs (they've installed ALL bulbs) as they're now finding 50W burns out sockets. They've had ALL of my business since buying the house in 1999, why they don't replace the sockets with correct wattage bulbs for free, to correct problem is beyond me. This is outrageously poor business on their part. Also, we keep loosing power in that 1 cicuit.

The workers were on time, and finished the work sooner than was estimated. They were very polite, and cleaned everything up before they left. I would certainly recommend this company.
