+ -1 moreI was very pleased. He changed his shoes to an indoor set for carpet cleaning. He was very careful with the vacuum hoses around doors and against walls. And the work was done quickly. I would recommend Universal highly.
Description of Work: I've used Universal twice-once for my rental property and again for my own house. Both times I was very pleased with the work. All the carpets were cleaned well and looked much improved from their "before" state. At the rental property, the carpet in the basement had a bump in it and Universal gave me a referral to someone who could re-stretch the carpet. That was a successful referral at a reasonable price. At my own house, Universal did a great job of getting older wear patterns and edge dirt out of the beige carpet. He did the best he could with 13 years worth of dirt.

+ -1 moreWe used an Angie's List coupon, which gave us a small discount. Reviews for in-home cleaning were excellent. The company advertises customer drop-off and pick-up services, but they seemed confused when we asked about it. We delivered the carpet to the company, and picked it up when the job was complete. This took more than a week. I admit I have no understanding of the economics of carpet cleaning, but that seemed like too much time for the price paid. The carpet was adequately (but not perfectly) clean - remnants of a crusted stain in one corner still remained.
Description of Work: Customer drop-off-and-pick-up cleaning of an 8'x12' (96 sq. ft.) Persian carpet.

+ -1 moreJeff was very friendly and professional. He came prepared to measure off all rooms and was quick and efficient in his services. Estimate and work were done on the same day. I felt the price for service was fantastic. I was moving so there wasn't any furniture in the house to move. I don't know if there are any charges to move furniture or how pricing would work if there was furniture to move.
Description of Work: Cleaned carpets in the house to include a small amount of urine stains from our dog. Living room, three bedrooms, two halls and stairway.

Description of Work: Jeff arrived promptly for the estimate and the actual job. Very pleased with the work. Jeff was very professional, polite and friendly. He cleaned wall to wall carpet in the family room, basement, living room, dining room, bedroom and 2 staircases. He also cleaned a sectional sofa, ottoman, and chair. He cleaned a wool area rug in the dining room.

+ -1 moreThe two area rugs were dropped off at their location 2.5 weeks before he came to clean the basement carpet. He called to say he was going to show up early to clean the carpet. He brought the two area rugs with him (no extra charge). Since we have a basement window, he snaked the hose threw the window instead of going through the house. He spotted all of the stained areas and then proceeded to steam clean the carpet. We had some bikes down there that he moved around and then put the bikes on styrofoam pieces so that the carpet could dry underneath. My parents came over the next day (very fussy people!) and commented on how nice the carpet looked (they said it looked brand new!). We are very pleased with the job they did and will higher them again in a heart beat!
Description of Work: Two area rugs were cleaned and the basement wall to wall carpet (as well as the stairs) was cleaned as well. The area rugs are 8 x 10 and 10 x 12. The basement is your typical row house sized basement.

Description of Work: I have used universal carpet care for years. Jeff cleans all our large 3 level house, white carpet, does stains, also sofas and armchairs. he always does a GREAT job. His equipment is clean, no chemical smell. it is all good cleaning products. He is thorough and pleasant. his wife answers the phone and sets up appointments. it is just them, a family company. I like giving them business. Some of the floor stains were very difficult due to some medical equipment that had been in place for my husband. Jeff cleaned them and left them with a 24 hour stain remove. When i called next day to say they had not totally gone. He returned following day and went over all the stains anywhere in house that had not responded fully to his 24 hour soak. He is terrific. really knows his carpet. no stain too much for him. Highly recommend him. he is inexpensive. This latest $400 is because it was a super clean. with illness in the house we had many stains. and he cleaned much furniture as well as carpet. He is usually much less for just carpet.

+ -1 moreI'd used him before. He was able to schedule me about 2 weeks out. He showed up on time and completed the job in about an hour and a half. He was thorough, moved most furniture, put plastic or pads underneath furniture legs. Gave me a bottle of spot remover as a surprise benefit. Warned me the enzymatic cleaner would make it smell worse for a couple of days before smelling much better and he was right about that. Very friendly and professional. The carpet looked and smelled great (a couple of days after the cleaning).
Description of Work: Cleaned all the carpet in my house, about 2300 square feet. Four bedrooms, living room, dining room, family room, stairs and hallways.

+ -1 moreEverything went great! I called on a Friday and Jeff was able to stop by for a quote that same day, since they are located in the neighborhood. We were able to schedule the cleaning for the following Monday morning. He did a fabulous job -- the carpet looks new. As you can imagine the carpet was quite bad since we had been caring for 2 geriatric greyhounds and a cat with no manners. Our door to the yard opens right into our dining room, so it's hard to keep that area clean. Jeff managed to get all the stains up and clean the carpet perfectly. He even left his giant fan here for a few hours to help dry it faster since we were having a party that weekend! I would absolutely recommend Universal Carpet Care to anyone with carpet.
Description of Work: We had stain removal and carpet cleaned for 3 rooms, a hallway, dining room and living room in our rancher.

The estimate was reasonable but when he showed up and looked for himself he said the charge would be less than he had quoted (have you ever heard of that?!). He did a fabulous job-the badly stained carpet in the bedroom looks new. He was here on time, quick, courteous...I don't think you can go wrong with him!

+ -1 moreJeff did a very good job. My initial phone call was returned promptly. He stopped by to give me an estimate and gave me a very fair price. He was on time and pleasant to work with. When he was running late, he called and let me know which was appreciated. He worked quickly and neatly and the quality of the work was high. The carpets were quite dirty with kids, pets, etc. During the cleaning process, my old dining room table was damaged, though in my opinion, it was not his fault. We were moving it together and I should have been more careful. Without being asked, he brought the tools over to fix it himself. Also, he did not charge me to clean the oriental carpet because he felt badly about the table. I really hadn't expected this and it was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Jeff. He is honorable, fair, responsible and does good work.
