The whole process was easy and painless. Dave G. met with us, explained our options, and provided a timely estimate. The estimate was not the lowest we received but we were able to see the high quality of work on other nearby homes and Roofworks was generally more responsive than other bidders. The crew showed up on the day promised and completed all work except for the gutter covers on the same day. The crew did a good job cleaning up before leaving. The gutter covers were installed the following week. We would recommend Roofworks to anyone looking to replace their roof. It looks great!

I had them only give me an estimate and then he went over basically what the job would entail.

I got prices from 3 different companies. Their price was approximately half of another company. I only wanted 20 grade shingles. I was very pleased with them and they gave me a very reasonable price. They were very down to earth. They delivered the shingles a couple of days ahead. The estimate was for $4,100 and there was an extra charge for the underlay. I knew that the sheets needed to be replaced; I just didn't know how many were needed. It was a good clean estimate. We were pleased with the service. The roof looks good and there are no leaks. They didn't have to come back for anything. I was very pleasantly surprised. They were very honest and they did a good job of cleaning up. They used a metal detector to pick up the nails. They finished in one day. They did everything they said they would. I got one price for $12,000 from another company.

No experience to really tell about here. I guess this experience tells me that one thing I should do is to always look into obtaining several estimates so I am not starting over when I do not get a response from one contractor.

Work was finished on time and at the agreed upon price. But during storms I could see water trickling down our furnace vent, and we developed a water stain on our ceiling. It took over a dozen phone calls, over two years, and three inspections for them to identify the problem; a poorly fit vent collar that was allowing water to penetrate our new roof. Phone calls were not always returned. And there was no follow-up or notification that roofers had been present. If I had not been home when they were there making noise on my roof I would not have known they ever showed up.

They were splendid, they did a wonderful job. They came on time and finished in one day.

We are extremely pleased with the roofworks sales team, admin team, as well as the roofing crew! The sales rep, Lonnie Slazer, was very personable, honest, and no-pressure. He worked with us patiently as we asked for "what if we add this..." prices. Receiving a thank you note a week after we received our estimate was a very nice touch. We had asked 2 other companies to bid on the work besides Roofworks; one was a no-show, and the other used scare tactics that were unappreciated. The Roofworks bid was not the lowest, but we didn't want a "budget" installation, experience, nor warranty. April Smith in the Lanham office was also a pleasure to work with; April is very efficient, courteous, and professional! Our roof was scheduled to take one to one and a half days; this is the ONLY construction project we've ever had in the last 20 years that came in on budget and on time! The crew arrived promptly as promised, in company vehicles, and the job foreman was happy to take the time and answer my questions. He was also helpful during the entire work process, as my husband watched and also asked questions. The crew had a well-choreographed construction process; their organization and efficiencies certainly helped get the project done in 9 hours. All the materials pulled off the old roof were placed in a dump truck as they came off the roof; and the crew left the grounds and porches immaculate. Roofworks has exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely contract with them again when it's time to replace the roof on our detached garage.

Dispite roof inspection, the repairman could not find the source of the wind noise; most likely because it was not a windy day. He did volunteer to stop by again at no cost to look again on a day that is more windy. The repairman was very professional and polite.

At this point, Roofworks has not agreed to come out again and is still threatening to sue me over the remaining $225 balance, despite the fact that their fix didn't work, and there is water spilling into my bedroom as I write this. So far, I now have carpet stains, and possible laptop damage.

This company gave a quote of $1700, while another company gave a quote of $800. I wasn't very pleased with the quality of their work in taking the gutter down. They ended up doing some damage. I had to get another company to repair the damage that they did. I couldn't recommend them.

Good, fairly consistent legalistic process, but I choose them for confidence they would do the roof right as well as the tax credit paperwork. Charged me an additional $75. to clean up all the heavy layer of roof debris littering inside my attic after the install. I would have thought more of them if that was included in the price. Update: the roof developed a major crack after 3 years. It did not leak but was cracked through to under layers, which shouldnt happen on a long life commercial torch down roof material. I called Roofworks for someone to come take a look and was told it couldnt be under warranty. It was and I provided the information. It was almost 2 months before they sent someone out and then more -months - of nonresponsiveness to calls and unacknowledged emails. Would never do business with them again based on this experience.

I have had a leak of and on on the roof of the addition to my house, which had recently become worse with all the heavy rains. The addition is at a lower level than my main roof and there was a problem with water getting under the flashings when it ran off the main roof. RoofWorks came out, assessed the problem and gave me a reasonable estimate. They promptly scheduled the job and completed it. It has rained quite a bit since they completed the job and I have not had any problems. There were two problems that came up but they handled both well. On the day my job I stayed home, but Roofworks cancelled the job that day because there was a possible forecast of rain. However, no one notified me that they were not coming so I stayed home from work that morning waiting for them. But when I contacted them they were professional about it, apologized for the miscommunication and promised to ensure I was notified of any future changes. I had no problems from that point on. They called me to let me know when the workmen were on site and when the job had been completed. The other problem came up when they were doing the job. Initially, the workman he worked on the roof on the front of my house rather than on the back where the problem actually was. Roofworks notified me of this mistake that they had redone the flashing on the front part of my house by mistake. They took responsibility for that and did not try to charge me for that extra work or give me a hard time. They returned the next day to complete the work on the back of my roof, which was the work I had originally hired them to do.

We recently bought a house that had been a rental property for 10+ years and had a badly neglected roof. Our home inspector suggested we make the roof our number 1 priority after closing. We called Roofworks for an estimate, which they scheduled promptly. After we sent them our home inspection report, they called back to reschedule with someone more able to give an estimate on the amount of work our roof needed (numerous flashing issues, missing slates, a poorly filled pitch pocket, and recoating). This was fine, but when the estimator came out, he only proposed to fix the most obvious of the issues, and did not address the dryness and cracking of the roof. We wound up paying more for the roof with a different contractor that had done a more thorough job of diagnosing our many roof problems.

Two days after I contacted a the company, a person came out and gave me an estimate for the work. We agreed on price and the person removed the damaged rake trim, which was beating against the house in the wind. Next week Roof work replace the rake trim, as scheduled. Work was done quickly and well.

We wound up choosing another roofing contractor because they seemed a little more professional in terms of their estimate. Roofworks' estimate was on the higher end of the spectrum amongst roofers we had chosen.

He was due at my home at 11am and called stating he would be late. He showed up a half an hour later. He was informative and courteous. I was not satisfied with the price so I will continue getting estimates.

The work went fine, they lived up to the contract and standards, they were very professional. Everything they said they would do they did, and they finished in the time they said they would which was one day and that was in April.
