Great at first, but not after I questioned their pricing I would like to start off by saying that I am usually not the one to write reviews unless I receive exemplary or unsatisfactory service and unfortunately this service was unsatisfactory. This review is receiving a two star rating only because of the great service Chris (the Field Technician) had provided to me when coming out to my home and walking with my insurance adjuster. Thanks again Chris. Unfortunately, that is where the great customer service ends. I requested to be given an estimate of what it would cost to replace the roof, fix the gutters, and make repairs to a few other areas. The representative Claudia sent the estimate over and notated on their proposal that I did not provide the insurance company’s scope or estimate. Things started to take a turn for the worst when I asked Claudia if she could itemize the repair so I could see the quoted labor rate and material cost for my insurance company to review. Their initial proposal just included a lump sum price. She then advises me that they are unable to do a cost breakdown without the full scope of the insurance company. If you are up front with your cost and service, I feel like there shouldn’t be anything to hide in your unit pricing. After pondering over the idea, I went ahead and sent over the insurance adjustors scope, but blocked off all of the pricing amounts of how much the insurance company was going to give me. I left the amount of squares, LF, and amount of materials on there so Roofworks would know how much they are estimating for to compare. I received a response from Claudia advising “If our price was to be different from insurance, the very first question from them would be to tell them what items we are higher on and why? We can’t answer those questions if the customer blocks the pricing on the scope” This really concerns me because it seems like once they have the insurance adjustors quote, they can inflate their prices to match the insurance adjustors cost. How are you not able to provide me an itemized pricing breakdown of how you got to your estimate that you sent to me? I still do not have that answer and can not understand unless there was an ulterior motive. To put the cherry on top, at the end of this same email Claudia reply’s with a snide remark; “We apologize for the inconvenience and wish you good luck with your project” As the customer, I felt that she was essentially saying that you I am being difficult and we do not need your business. After this brief correspondence, I have not heard from her; even after a few follow up emails. I am not normally the one to leave a long-winded review, but wanted others to hear my experience. I was drawn to utilizing this company after I saw so many stellar reviews.

They were very good , very pro courteous did the work well we had some concerns we call them back they came back out made the adjustment that we wanted installed a new roof at my neighbor house and installed soffit and would use them again

Great company. Did a great job. Just need a repair and the accomodated. All other companies would only replace. Will call on them when I am ready to replace.

From the instant confirmation that they had a truck in the area, to the call at exactly 10am that he was on the way, we had wonderful service - Dave, the specialist was prompt, knowledgeable and funny to boot. Price was more than reasonable for work done, and our gutter is fixed.

Most of the work seemed to be fine, initially, but one area was not quoted in the job, maybe a misunderstanding, and some of the work turned out to be sloppy. When they finally came back to do the extra bit (for which we negotiated a fair price, but this was an uncomfortable process), the gutter was installed at the wrong angle and the gutter guard was never installed. Maybe it’s a good thing that the guard wasn’t installed in that section, because the guards that were installed do not keep anything out of the gutters. In fact, the guards and gutters are now so jammed with stuff that we have to have the guards removed in order to have the gutters cleaned out. The water is spilling right over the sides of the gutters when it rains. Also, during the first phase of installation some caulking needed to be redone and a small area of rotten wood was not repaired until I called attention to it. To be fair, overall the gutters themselves are of good quality, but the installation and follow-up were not satisfactory, and some of the communication we had with a salesperson and the owner was unpleasant. I called and left messages for the owner after the last installation, but never received a response. I haven’t even bothered to contact them about the gutter guards. Really not up for more unpleasant interaction.

Roofworks kept pushing the date after signing the contract and giving initial payment. They were not responsive in providing an update. Eventually the contract had to be cancelled which has lead to delay in implementing the work.

We love our new roof! Really nice! Sketchy communication with a few office workers via phone and e-mail, but in the end everything turned out well. We loved the guy who came out to give us the estimate. Large team of experienced workers worked very quickly and completed the roof in just a few hours. We would definitely use them again!

It went well. The arrived on time, very professional and they did a good job.

Did not hire but was impressed with the punctuality, professionalism and price quote when I got an estimate. It was a hard choice. I would recommend getting an estimate from this company.

Roof seems good but follow up was poor. We had nails all over our lawn and plant beds and we have dogs that could step on them. They had to come back 3 times to clean up and the third time they left our gate open and one of our dogs got out. Generally not very pleased with post installation communications and process and lack of attention to detail after such an important and expensive job.

It was good. Definitely an "A" for overall. I met with them and they just seemed to have a better grasp of the situation than other companies. It just took one day to perform the work and they cleaned up after themselves.

Honest and professional estimator and quote. Best of several estimates on professionalism, not lowest but good, accurate, reasonable, quote. Excellent crew, busy street. Right on estimate, no problems, no surprises, with top quality shingles. Looks great and lots of heavy rain in the last 8 months and no issues at all. Good cleanup. Very professional done on time and very pleased and would highly recommend. Some estimates tried to pad the estimate for georgetown and did not understand that I knew about the job details from working construction when I was younger, but not this company.

I'd give them an "A" across the board. I'd use them again.

It went extremely well. They were very, very punctual. They were on time. I would use them again. The salesmen broke everything down for me. I don't feel like they took advantage.

They were willing to go up on the roof to look at the issues for the estimate. They did the work and they took pictures before and after.

After I submitted my estimate request, Roofworks contacted me within a few days and scheduled a time to come out in a couple weeks. The guy that came out to provide the estimate was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and took time to answer my questions. He examined the flashing on the chimney of our two-story house and explained it appeared to have been pulled back possibly by a raccoon. He advised about having pest control check our attic, because if it happened again, there is no warranty to cover the work. However, since we had not heard animal noises, we decided to go ahead with the repair. He also examined the roof and included replacement of a few missing shingles in the estimate. He indicated their schedule was backed up and couldn't provide an exact date for the repair. About three weeks later, my husband heard noises on the roof and realized a guy had showed up to complete the work. The work was completed quickly, within an hour or so. Over the next couple weeks I found several small pieces of 3-4" scrap metal on the side of the house in the grass, apparently pieces that were cut off to shape the flashing. I only mention this because I have a dog in the yard, which l could have been injured by the sharp metal left behind. Overall, I am satisfied with the work and consider it to be a fair price, however would expect a bit more care to be taken to clean up or prevent the scrap metal from remaining in the yard.

They damaged my gutters. I had new gutters put on before the roof which was a mistake. They said they would come back and get the dents out. Other than that I had no problems with them. I would refer them to a friend.

The work was done on time prior to closing on my old house. However, when I called them to schedule, they kept telling me that they would call me the next day and they did not call. Work was satisfactory but I thought the price was high.

Professional work staff and exceptional clean up of debris

It went very well. I'm very anxious about getting dupped when it comes to stuff I really don't know anything about. When we got our estimate there were three Angie's List deals, one for 1000 sqft, 1500 sqft, and one for 2000 sqft. Our roof fit into the 1500 sqft category. The estimate, Mike, came out and went up on the roof, 2 contractors didn't do that, and saw we had two layers of shingles which would cost more. He worked the estimate two ways, using the Angie's List cost and the online coupon and the deal was most cost effective for us. The estimate was detailed and I knew exactly what I was getting. The day before the install, the materials were dropped off. I was able to look at what was going on my roof. I took pictures of the materials. The guys came the next day right on time and knocked the roof out in about 5 hours, taking breaks and lunch. It was the warmest day for the year. The roof was installed on April 28 and all in all, I'm very pleased. I wish I could see the roof, but the way our house sits it can't be seen from the ground.
