I had an excellent experience with Mo and his team. Extremely professional and highly skilled. Even the workers Mo used seemed to understand all the nuisances of the type of work they were doing and all the benefits it brings to a home owner. After the work we immediately noticed the difference in comfort. The house, especially in the upstairs bedrooms are much more comfortable temperature wise. The a/c also is kept at a higher temperature (71 vs 68 ) which is critical for energy savings in the summer months. I would recommend HESS to help you save money and add comfort to your home.

As noted, the workers worked hard ,protected the house furnishings and overall did an efficient job. With the recent cold weather we have noticed that our house is much warmer than before.

In the simplest and clearest terms possible, Mo was awesome throughout the whole process. My wife and I bought a house at the end of December, and in order to incorporate funding from an Energy Efficient Mortgage into the home loan, we had to have an energy audit completed before closing. We had to find a provider on very short notice who could perform the audit within about a 2 week window. I contacted about 5 vendors, and Mo was the only one who could do it in our very short timeline. On top of that, he was able to get our audit report delivered to us over the weekend, providing it on the last Sunday evening before Christmas, two days after the audit was physically performed. I should also mention we were a little bit north of their service area, but Mo provided the service to us anyway - a huge plus. Mo was extremely responsive through all communication mediums (email, text and phone). Mo was very gracious and answered all of my many questions without ever skipping a beat and without any long response time delays. After the audit report and recommended improvements were reviewed, Mo and I discussed a few different approaches. I was debating between spray foam insulation and a more traditional, less expensive approach (caulking, fiberglass, cellulose, etc). Mo provided multiple bids to give an idea of the cost differences and discussed the pros and cons of the different approaches with me. In the end, I went with the less expensive traditional approach, and got absolutely no "hard sell" from Mo on the more expensive spray foam. He did not push one solution over another, and left the decision to me, which I appreciated. When it came to project execution, Mo was A1 again. He worked with me to get a roofer over to install and external bath fan vent on a Saturday, minimizing during-the-week disruption (wife and I both work regular hours). The day the majority of the project was completed was a full day to say the least. His crew showed up promptly at 8am, as scheduled, and started to work immediately. They covered everything in plastic and wore booties to keep the house clean as they worked. Everyone was quiet, efficient, and careful. With the exception of a lunch break, the crew worked almost a 12 hour day to get everything done in one shot. Mo was there the whole time supervising and ensuring everything that was promised was in fact accomplished, and that it was done correctly. Once the project was done, Mo showed me what was done and told me to give him a call if I felt anything was wrong or needed to be corrected after they left. In sum, the entire process absolutely exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. Mo and his crew were timely, professional, and left us with a much more comfortable house. Another big plus is that Mo understands the Energy Efficient Mortgage and BG&E rebate processes, and works with you to make sure they go smoothly. Overall, it was a great experience and I strongly recommend them.

They were really careful to make sure that because I knew what they were going to do, it could be a little messy. One of the basics came. It was pouring outside so they put plastic everywhere. So every time they went in and out the house, there was nothing being dragged into our house. They took care of everything to make sure that it was not a day of test in any way. They were really conscientious. They gave us a guarantee as well.

Very well. He was neat, informative and helpful. He arrived on time and got directly into it. Had a sleeping baby at the time and was very considerate of that and was able to work quietly around that.

Purchased an Angies List deal for $100 for the home energy audit. Mohammad was extremely responsive and friendly via email. He sent a detailed list of the scope of the work to be performed prior to the audit. He showed up on time and was just as friendly and professional in person. After he completed his work, he explained what he found and what items we should be concerned about, which ones weren't that important and which ones weren't cost effective to complete. He also sent over a very detailed report after. We ended up contracting with him to complete some of the major work around insulation deficiencies we had in the home and they did a great job. They were on time, clean, polite and worked quickly and respectfully around myself and my kids who were at home for spring break. Mohammad came through a couple of times during the day to check in and did a final blower test at the end of the work. He also walked me through the work they completed. He even completes all of the PEPCO paperwork for the $2000 energy rebate we are entitled to (which I was previously unaware of). I've already recommended him and his crew to other folks and would highly recommend working with them.

Mohammed was very detailed. He anwered all my questions. Gave excellent suggestions. Explained the entire process very well. I am very impressed.

We got the report done, and we're moving forward with sealing up my air leaks to make my home more energy efficient. They seemed very thorough in the report and used the thermal pictures to see where the heat loss was. They were at my home for about 2 hours.

Mohammed did an inspection of my home but his report was stolen, here is his email to me: Hello John, Sorry for the delay on the report, my car was broken into and my briefcase and laptop were stolen Tuesday morning while I was doing an audit in NW- I've been very busy with that. The notes I had taken during your audit was there as well. I had already written the report and had started on the modeling and quotes, but that is gone. I will re-do your report based on the images I have, memory (especially since I already wrote it), as well as the info on the T&C sheet that we signed. Due to the report possibly not being as detailed as I usually do it, and the lateness of it since I had told you by yesterday, I will go ahead and refund your portion of the payment.

Mohammed conducted an energy audit of our 1950's rambler. He had some very insights about the design of the house, its advantages and disadvantages for energy efficiency, and possible improvements. He identified several sources of air leakage and subpar insulation and suggested improvements.
