They were responsive and timely and did a good job with the rug. They did not offer estimates but I'm sure would have provided them upon request.

Ayoub N&H assessed a beloved 8x10 hand made carpet and advised us that it we would probably be wasting our money to have them attempt to clean and deodorize it. They explained that cat pee can be absorbed into the backing and lining of the rug, and in this case, those layers bad become fused together, so even separating the layers by hand would only destabilize the rug and most likely destroy it. They were very helpful and very willing to do the work, they gave us detailed information about what the steps would be and the associated costs, and they also gave us their professional advice that they thought we should save our money because they felt the rug could not be adequately improved. In other words, they encouraged us to walk away and NOT pay them, even though we were willing to take the risk. We could not ask for a more professional, expert opinion. We recommend Ayoub N&H very, very highly, and chose to use them again for a different carpet.

We had tried many times to remove cat pee smells from a hand made oriental carpet using Nature's Miracle, and finally took it to Ayoub N&H. They gave us separate prices for cleaning and for a special application of deodorizer, which we accepted. Everything was done perfectly on time. The rug had a very strong smell when we first unrolled it, so we called to ask about this. We were told it should dissipate in a few days, and if it did not they would clean it again. The smell did go away as predicted and we are very pleased with everything about the service provided by Ayoub N&H. (Although the rug was ready when promised we did not pick it up immediately, and then we were a little slow to unroll it. Since this was also in the very hot weather, we think it is possible that this contributed to the lingering smell. Next time WE will try to be more prompt.) We recommend Ayoub N&H and will gladly use them again at this location. Also, we appreciated the discount for Angie's list users.

Excellent cleaning on many different rugs

The estimation, job execution and quality were all very professional. I thought the cost of buff and refinishing a small area of wood flooring was a bit steep but everything else was truly excellent and at a fair and reasonable cost. The staff were all knowledgeable about their respective trades and carried out the jobs very professionally.

The two for one deal on hand-knotted carpets was great. This is the second time that I have used Ayoub and the results have been very good. And the staff have been very helpful.

Installed new carpeting in living and dining rooms, stairs, upstairs hallway and three bedrooms. _x000D_|_x000D_|Worked around the snow and freezing rain to meet the deadline we had for a party we were hosting. Great job.

We dealt with two different salespeople - one who assisted us with carpet choice and provided us with samples to compare at home and another who visited our home, measured and advised on several flooring projects we were considering and scheduled a team of three installers who installed a runner for our staircase. Everyone we dealt with was extremely professional, helpfull, and knowledgeable regarding options to consider while not being at all pushy. The installation team was prompt, careful and did a great job. Since I am a bit picky it's rare that I would give a top rating to all the staff we encountered but am delighted to be able to do so.

I would highly recommend this company. I had a carpet that needed cleaning. After an initial try by this company, I was not satisifed with the results and I wrote this in my initial review. The company called me the next day and offered to pick up the carpet and clean it again. They returned the carpet about 3 weeks later, and the smell was gone. I really appreciate the attention to customer satisfaction. This company was very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Everything went fine and the pricing was a great deal

They did a really good job. They were excellent. The carpet had some tuff stains and they had to come back three times to get them out. They were completely reliable and I was very pleased with them. I would call them about the stains and they would come back the next day. I would use them again.

Rugs came back clean. Staff were courteous and flexible about details and timing of pickup and dropoff.

The rug was cleaned beautifully and the staff was friendly and efficient. The store location is convenient with easy parking and the work is done on-site. I used the Angie's List 20% off coupon so the price was very competitive. I was very pleased with the transaction.

They came as promised and returned the rugs 10 days later. Called and said several stains would not come out. Also offered scotchgarding which we added on. When the rugs were returned the amount charged was substantially higher than it should have been. Was not $220 for one and 2nd rug of equal or lesser value free! We felt that the big deal was highly misrepresented, price-wise. The carpets look okay except for the stains they could not remove. Their removal and return of the carpets were professional.

Prompt in scheduling and picking up the rugs. When they came back from cleaning, one rug appeared damaged near the fringe. Called them back and someone came out right away to look at the rug and explain our options. Good resolution after a disappointment that the rug was so worn that the process had made the fringe untenable

Good work and nice people. I will certainly call them when other rugs need cleaning or repair.

I purchased the coupon for two for one oriental rug cleaning. I contacted Ayoub to find out how to use the coupon, and they replied quickly. I set up the appointment to have them pick up the rugs. They arrived within the agreed time frame and let me know that they would call when the rugs were ready for delivery - 2-3 weeks. We set up an appointment for delivery. I needed to change it, and they were able to accommodate. The rugs were delivered and re-laid. I'm not a rug expert, but to me they looked and felt MUCH cleaner than they had, so it seems like they did good work.

I had called them before when my boss was selling his large condo and needed all the carpeting cleaned in preparation for the sale. Ayoub N&H did such a good job that it even surprised the realtor since he saw the before and after. So when I needed my carpeting cleaned for my upcoming daughter's bridal shower, I called Ayoub N&H again. I spoke with Christopher and told him what I needed and he gave me an estimate and an appointment for the cleaning. I was surprised that Ayoub N&H did grout as well because the grout on my master bathroom tile floor was really dirty. I tried everything to try to get it cleaned, using chemical and steam but it did not make a dent in removing the dark stains in the grout. The men, Charles & Eric, came within the appointment window. The men were very professional and courteous. Charles walked the house with me to see what I needed them to do and gave me what I think is a reasonable price. The coupons on Angie's List did not do me any good since I was not having any carpeting clean at their plant but Charles did mentioned that I could go to their website and see if there was any coupons I could use. I checked out the site on my iPhone and found a 15% discount for wall to wall carpeting cleaning so that reduced my cost to $526.50 from $565. I told Charles that the carpeting has never been cleaned since we moved in almost 6 years ago. With 2 cats and we house trained a puppy, the carpeting was in bad shape. Charles had a bad case of asthma and was not feeling well shortly after they started. Probably because I had 2 cats in the house. So Andrew came by and took Charles back and brought Matt to help Eric with the job. It took about 3 hours to finish the job and boy was I surprised at the difference. My Berber carpet in the family room where the puppy and the cats have their accidents, hairballs and throw ups, it was almost like new. All those stains were gone! The 3 bedrooms upstairs were completely clean and the fibers were loose and standing up again not heavily matted down by the dirt in the carpet. Most amazing was the grout in the master bathroom floor. The grouts were white not dark brown!! I could not believe it. I did wish that they were able to get closer to the edges on the floor but I could not be happier. They cleaned up after themselves and put away all the equipment into their truck. Eric did tell me that it may take 6-24 hours for it to be completely dried and not to walk on them in our street shoes so that outside dirt would not be tracked on the wet carpet and to try to keep the cats off the furniture so their hair won't stick to the upholstery. If I knew how well it turned out, I would have done it sooner. After they were gone, I turned on my ceiling fan in each room and standing fans in rooms without a ceiling fan. The carpet in the bedrooms were almost completely dried 6 hours later but we gave it 24 hours, until the next morning before walking on them with our street shoes. The sofa and loveseat cushions and backing took a lot longer. It took another 24 hours before we could put the furniture back together again. Angie's list had several other companies that was offering $99 for 400 sq. ft of cleaning and all my rooms together may be about 400 sq. ft. but I also wanted my filed floor cleaned as well and when I called one company, they told me they do not do tiles and another one said I was too far for them even though I put my zip code for the search. Then another company told me I needed to give him measurements of all the rooms so that he could give me an estimate. They do not come out for estimates only for jobs. I have no idea how to start measuring each room nor do I want to so when I remembered Ayoub N&H, I gave them a call and I am glad I did. Apparently there are several Ayoub but with different name after the word Ayoub. When I googled Ayoub, it came up with several companies with that name. I asked them about the different names and I was told that it is a family business and each member has its version of their name for their store. So this review is only for Ayoub N&H in Kensington, MD.
