The whole process was seamless. I requested a quote from them via the Clopay garage door website. They responded within a day with a preliminary estimate (garage door only). Within a few days, they had sent someone to scope out the framing work that needed to be done and provide an updated estimate. On they day of the installation, they arrived on time and got straight to work. On the same day, I was having some tree trimming work done - the tree trimmers needed to get their truck close to the garage, and the Johnson guys worked with them to make sure everybody had space to do what they needed to do. When the work was done, they cleaned everything up well, and provided me with the keys to my new garage door.

Came out quickly and replaced both springs. Inspected and lubricated entire system. Price was competitive but not cheap.

They were very professional. I was very happy with the workers. I thought they did a great job with the installation. They gave me great advice on what kind of garage opener to get. I was happy with everything and there was nothing to complain about with them. They came one day to identify the problem that my old garage openers were not repairable. They came out the second day to install the new ones. Two people originally came out for the estimate, then one person came out to do the installation.

Did an excellent job, fixed thoroughly even though it was a demanding job

The two-person crew tha fixed our doors were curteous, Quick and efficient. The garage door was jammed shut when they arrived; they got it open and replaced all springs in a very short visit. The doors work wonderfully again.

The work went smoothly and according to the plan described with the estimate. However when I found myself unable to open one of the doors later, the company was very responsive and sent someone out promptly who corrected the situation.

Went very well. They even replaced the cables and raised the garage door opener so it would perform better. My husband was pleased that came when they said they would, did the job we asked them to do and didn't try to sell us anything else (new opener or new garage door).

They were very good. I didn't dislike anything. I liked everything. Everything was great.

Both doors were replaced with new steel insulated doors and outside trim, and both openers with new mounting hardware were replaced. I opted not to have the outside opener mounted for aesthetic reasons, but I could have had that done at no extra cost. New car fobs were provided. Bob came on a Monday during really bad weather to discuss our needs, and provided me with a proposal. While slightly higher than two others estimates we had received, Bob was able to schedule his installation tech to come two days later, which sealed the deal. I put down 1/3 deposit, and final payment after a demo of the new doors. Both Bob and Rick (the tech) were pleasant and engaging. Overall, a great contractor experience.

Definitely reccomend this company. I stopped by their showroom in person to discuss, ended up scheduling an appt for a free estimate. Estimator was on time and gave me a up front great price, no haggling, no BS, his best offer and even included a $100 website coupon before I asked for it. Price was best out of 3 estimates I got. The installer showed up on time, and replaced everything, doors, tracks, upgraded hardware in almost no time at all. Very professional service, great products, excellent price & installation!

Joe did a great job of installing two new doors and openers. Everything looks and runs great and he took time to run us through the features of our new doors and openers and future maintenance. Throughout the process Fred C Johnson Co was incredibly easy to work with, very competitive with quotes, and quick to schedule the install. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for garage door work.

Fred C. Johnson Company provided stunningly good service. The technician arrived on time on the agreed-upon date. He installed the safety sensors, then discovered the 23-year old lift mechanism would not accept the board that controls them. So he pulled out a rebuilt lift mechanism from his van and installed it, free of charge. To test it, he attempted to use the keypad, and discovered the keypad was nonfunctional. So he replaced the keypad, free of charge. After he left, I noticed a small space between the bottom of the door and the garage floor. I called the company, and they answered immediately. They explained to me how to lower the garage door, and offered to come out the next day if I was unable to fix it. But with a simple twist of a screw, the door closed perfectly. These folks are the gold standard of their business area.

Wonderfully! He was on time, worked hard, and knew his stuff. He swiftly installed the openers and accessories. He was cheerful and polite. He charged much less than another company estimated. His work looked beautiful--all the wires were tucked into corners so everything looked neat.

It went very well. The man who evaluated and gave the estimate was professional, friendly, and gave very good suggestions. The man and his son who did the work were both professional, punctual, friendly, and neat. I was told of damage to the door, which is visible. The are coming back to replace that panel.

The technician arrived on time and was super-polite and efficient. He diagnosed the problem within minutes (a worn drive belt) and called the company office to check the availability of a replacement belt. He was completely candid that this would probably solve the problem but that it could be something else. I was given a verbal estimated cost. I approved the repair, and was told that within the hour another technician would arrive with the new belt and install it. This is exactly what happened and the door worked perfectly courtesy of another excellent technician. The actual cost was slightly under the estimate since the belt was less expensive than anticipated. Of note, the front office was also easy and straight forward to deal with when making the appointment. Total time from initially calling to having a functional garage door was less than a day. I was very happy with the way this repair was handled and consider it a hall mark of excellent service that for no additional charge the sensors were aligned and the bearings lubricated on both garage doors.

Technician was very punctual and professional. It was obvious from the start that he new and understood exactly what he was doing. He alone completed both garage door installs within a few hours and spent time explaining the remote setups and configuring everything to work together including my two vehicles. he took the time to run the wires from the two lower sensors in a neat and almost invisible install. I don't mind paying for professional work and being happy when everything is complete. i would definitely recommend this group.

They were professional, fair, and performed excellent service. They were very responsive ... I called and told them I had a broken foot and they came out right away! Techs were great and quoted me to replace my springs ... They had an idea, called the office, and replaced with only one spring with the same functionality ... Saved me almost $70! Great job looking for the best solution over the highest price! Can't expect anything else. Thanks.

I got 3 estimates to replace one of two garage doors. Of the two lowest bids, Fred C Johnson was within $10 of the other but was for a better door and included rehanging the opener. I was concerned that they wouldn't be able to match the existing door as I was told by the other company that it had been discontinued. However, that turned out to be false as the replacement door was an exact match. The installer, Justin, was very punctual, polite and did an excellent job. I highly recommend this company

This is the most responsive, caring company - willing to forego a service call in order to help out a worried customer in need. I will definitely use them in the future, and have already recommended them to friends.
