Of the half dozen or so plumbing agencies I called, Mr. Taylor is the only one who actually sent someone over to see what the problem was and gave me an estimate. All the others merely gave me a ball park figure over the phone. Mr. Taylor sub-contracted the work to Liberty Pure Solutions, but he did follow up with a phone call the next day to ensure that someone did in fact come by.

We are very pleased with the results. Suzanne Taylor came out to help us plan the design and kept in touch while purchasing the fixtures. Kevin Taylor knew exactly what was needed and supervised throughout. Craig, the foreman of the job, was courteous, prompt, and thoroughly professional. We had an antique washstand that we wanted to convert to a vessel-sink vanity, and Taylor Made took it to a woodworker who did a marvelous job of refinishing and converting it. The bathroom is beautiful and functional, and the entire process was smooth. The Taylors and their crew really did an excellent job! In fact, Taylor Made is now working on our master bath, which is a more complicated project - converting a bedroom closet to increase the size of the shower. I'll post another review when that job is complete.

Prior to starting the job, Kevin (contractor) had his lead foreman, Craig meet with me to go over the scope of the work. I thought this was particularly helpful. Craig and Mike were the team that performed our work, along with a great team of subcontractors. I wouldn't hesitate to leave them in my home. They were neat and respectful of our home. At the end of each working day, the kitchen and ancillary areas were swept clean. They only wanted to make us happy with the work that they were doing. When I requested some changes, there was never any worry, on my part, that they wouldn't or couldn't honor my request. Taylor Made was by far the best contractor we have ever worked with. Any and all future work will be done by Taylor Made.

The work turned out fantastic. They are very precise. They take the name of their company, “custom,” very serious; they are willing to customize things to meet the satisfactions of their customers. They are very flexible and accommodating. The owner is a wonderful guy. They are very, very good.

They were very expensive. They were fine and professional. It was a lot of money for a small basement.

Kevin Taylor arrived at the house early and was waiting for me when I arrived. He spent over an hour in the home taking meticulous notes and providing me with great ideas on how to improve the house without going over budget. Kevin was very knowledgeable on all tasks that I needed to be completed in the house and there were several. Kevin was able to provide me with a competitive estimate in a very timely manner. After Kevin left I had a much better perspective of the scope of work. I have not decided on a contractor to complete the house yet, but wanted to write a review after the great estimate I received from Kevin.

They have been very helpful. He has worked with us for everything we have done. He worked us on the design of the deck, as well as the pricing of the deck. He was able to help us cut corners and save some money on the decking where we could.

We decided that we wanted a new floor in our kitchen. At first, we thought we wanted ceramic tile. We called three contractors. The first contractor who came to our house was late. He spent about an hour with us and gave us a ballpark price that was reasonable. The second contractor seemed as though he was only responding to our ideas and did not come up any of his own. Because we've used Taylor Made for other projects in our house, we figured that we would give Kevin the opportunity to look at the project. He came to the house and explained all of the flooring options available to us. Not only did he provide us with alternative materials but he was very patient as we changed our mind from originally wanting ceramic tile to eventually choosing hardwood. We then decided to put hardwood in the dining room. Because our dining room was formal, Kevin came up with a fantastic idea to create a pattern in the wood using a contrasting color. The majority of the dining room was comprised of oak but the inlaid design was mahogany which created a distinct custom accent. We were delighted with outcome, creative idea and attention to detail that Taylor Made provided us - once again.

Mr. Taylor responded promply, and came out to do an estimate. He was very nice, and got back to me in a few days. Mr. Taylor estimated $9000 to install hardwood flooring in 4 rooms, for labor only. I wound up using a different installer, who did the job for around $9800, which included the oak flooring and all the materials. It did seem like Mr Taylor was used to doing more extensive projects, with bigger budgets.

I chose Taylor Made over others because of the price, referrals and an incentive. They worked in a professional and somewhat timely manner; This was my first big project and I was very nervous about it. During the project, I had many questions and Kevin was very helpful in explaining what was going on. His crew was very nice and took the time to explain what they were doing. The total price ended up to be a little more than the estimate, but overall it was worth it for the outcome of the project. The finished product is truly a piece of art, compared to what I had before.

Overall experience was great. We had little experience and less time and ability design/decorate the bathrooms. Kevin Taylor acted as both a contractor and designer/decorator in helping us make decisions right down to the knobs on the cabinets. He showed a lot of patience with us throughout the process. They are a full service custom contracting operation handling all subcontractors and every aspect of the job. We were very comfortable with his crew and subcontractors being in our house. All of the workers were very professional and polite. We would strongly recommend them.

WENT GREAT. A TAD ON THE COSTLY SIDE, BUT THE STRUCTURE IS SOUND, AND HAS BEEN THERE FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS NOW. THERE HAVE BEEN NO PROBLEMS WITH IT (NO SAGGING, NO LEAKING IN THE ROOF, AND WITH THE ATTACHED GUTTER AND DOWNSPOUT NO WATER PROBLEMS). (RATED 'B' BECAUSE IT SEEMED PRICEY TO US)

I had Kevin come out for an estimate. He was on time, professional, and very nice. We walked around the house and talked ballpark pricing. He said that we should expect to pay a minimum of $10,000 for a hall bathroom remodel, and I got the impression that our job seemed too small for his company to bother with. We instead chose to go with a contractor who was willing to listen to our needs and work within our (admittedly) very limited budget. Taylor Made is probably great for big projects, but they didn't seem interested in working with the less well-off..

He is a very nice guy but I have not started the work yet. We used the quote as a base and we bought the materials but we have not had them installed yet. The owner does the estimates personally. He asks a lot of questions and wants to get things done right. There is a lot of back and forth before he does the quote for you.

I emailed and Kevin responded within an hour or two. He gave me several appointment options. On the appointed day, he called to say he would be early. He listened carefully, asked appropriate questions, and gave me estimates for the labor. He was prompt and polite. Based upon the estimate, we decided to put these projects on hold in favor of doing other projects. I would contact Kevin again.

He was excellent, it was just the price that held us back. It was an excellent experience. I would use them in the future depending on the price.

Because we have a split level home, half of our house is brick and the other half is siding. Our old aluminum siding needed to be replaced with new vinyl siding and we wanted the color to match our existing shed. We also have a large bay window in the front so it was really important that the carpenters continue the horizontal panels while working around the bay window requiring creative workmanship. I'm very pleased with the final product.

Taylor Made installed new carpet in my 15 x 20 sq. ft. family room. Picking out the carpet was painless because they brought samples to my house. The pricing was reasonable and the quality of the carpet and pad was excellent as it barely shows any dirt and has worn extremely well even with heavy traffic. The installation went smoothly with minimal disruption to our home. The installer was polite, courteous, prompt and efficient. I would use this company again.

I noticed that our water was was leaking. My first call was to my husband and my second call was to Taylor Made. After speaking with the owner, a service person was at my door in 1 1/2 hours. The water heater was purchased and installed within four hours. They even had to solder pipes together. I was really impressed with the prompt response and efficiency of the company. Next time I have an emergency, I'll know who to call.

Taylor Made replaced 14 of my hollow plain front interior doors with new six-panel doors. This project was more complicated than I expected because my house was older. All the doors needed to me measured, cut and hung correctly and some of the doors needed to be cut twice because the door frames were not even. This made for a lot of trial and error and a lot of extra time. I'm glad that I chose Taylor Made because they made sure that each and every door was cut and hung accurately.

I LOVE MY NEW BATHROOM!!! Every time I go into it, I think of how happy I am with the finished product. It far exceeds my expectations. As the crew started to demolish the existing bathroom, hidden problems arose which needed to be addressed before work continued. We had mold, mildew, previous water damage which ruined the subfloor and termites. If that wasn't enough, because we were installing a shower pan instead of a tub, they had to move the entire door frame down the wall, 6 inches. The project manager was in constant contact with us, explained every issue in detail and offered solutions for every problem. We were grateful that we chose Taylor Made because another contractor could have left us out to dry. Not only was the process handled well, but the final product was absolutely beautiful. The crew was punctual and enthusiastic. They had our best interest at heart and really took pride in their work.

I always wanted a deck off the back of my house so I could relax while watching the birds and animals in my yard. Not long after we moved in, we decided that we wanted to hire a contractor to build our dream deck. We found Taylor Made through a friend who recommended them highly. She said that they had a reputation for building sturdy decks which appealed to me. I had two windows in my dining room without an outside access so we replaced them with a sliding glass door. Taylor Made built my deck using 6" footings making it sturdier than most. Wider railings and a built-in deck box were two interesting design accents that were suggested by Kevin. They even let me "help" one day.

My kitchen really needed updating, so I decided to call Taylor Made Custom Contracting because I was pleased with a few other projects that they had done for me in the past. Because I was an existing customer, they gave me a very competitive price. Since the cabinets were not being replaced, we needed to keep the configuration of the room in tact. That made for additional challenges in appliance selection and installation which Taylor Made handled expertly. We wanted our countertop to be seamless, so a one piece L-shaped countertop was installed professionally and VERY carefully. The crew was punctual, polite and cleaned up after themselves daily. The entire project was completed in a timely manner and i was glad that i chose them again.
