Gary from Perry Hall Remodeling was very responsive to my initial call. He provided me with an estimate which was the same as the final price. I later requested that he remove a broken brick from my front step and replace it and he did it free of charge. Although it rained when the work was supposed to be done, Gary explained why it would be detrimental to do the work in rainy weather and then he rescheduled it for the next work day. I was very pleased witht he work and would use his company again for any further work on my house.

It went great! Gary worked with my schedule due to having to get solar panels off the roof and solar co being persnickety On time, on schedule, found other problems (it's an older home) but worked with me (within my budget) to plan stages for getting all the work done. Easy to talk to and easy to work with, very Professional makes and returns calls promptly!! We will be hiring PerryHall Remodeling and Gary Howard again in the future!

Working with Gary and his crew couldnt have been better. Gary was always extremely responsive, on time and professional. Same goes for all of the members of his crew. The work that was completed looks great. Once completed the crew followed up I do plan on using them for additional projects at my home.

After calling around to several providers, I chose Perry Hall because they gave me a repair quote instead of trying to push an entire siding job for my rental property. I needed the job done quickly as there was a huge snow storm coming at the end of the week. Gary scheduled the repair for the day that the storm was predicted to come in. Naturally, I was worried that they would not get the job done before we got hit with the 3 feet of snow coming that evening. To my surprise & delight the job was completed prior to the bad weather. Also, they were able to match the siding so close that it is hard to tell where the replacement was put. That was lucky for me since the original siding was put on back in 1996. The area was cleaned up and luckily the workers got home safe. They did a great job and I would recommend them.

We discovered termite damage in our new home and were upset and afraid of the extent and costs of what we were facing. Gary and his team helped us to figure out what we should do and were able to come out quickly to do it. They took down the drywall on one wall and part of another, assessed the damage, reinforced the structure where necessary, cleaned up (every step of the way) and put everything back looking better than before. In addition, they caulked all our outside windows and gaps and repaired the parging along our foundation for almost half the house (the other half didn't need it). Gary and his team were knowledgeable, friendly, and talented craftsmen who worked quickly and cleanly. They took on extra tasks without complaint (and sometimes without charge!) and offered solid advice when we were unsure what to do. They were compassionate and reassuring when we were afraid for our home and patient with my constant questions and requests. We would hire them again without hesitation, and plan to do so once we save a little more money. We look forward to working with them for many years.

I've used Gary and his team for projects before, and was once again quite satisfied with the work they performed. They arrived promptly to install my new picture window, and were done in a reasonable time period. They also make sure to clean up thoroughly when finished. I plan to use Perryhall Remodeling for additional projects in the future.

The project was supposed to start in the November/December time range, however due to Gary's schedule as well as a personal conflict on our end, we agreed to start at the beginning of January 2016. That week after the new year, Gary's crew of Steve and Mike arrived and unloaded materials as well as reviewed the work to be done. The original quote covered labor and some basic materials (paint, drywall, etc) We wanted our basement to match our house, so we picked out the exterior door (basement service door, original was rotting/leaking) and interior doors. I was able to personally obtain these items,and that cost was not included in the quote, which worked out just fine. Steve and Mike were very professional, on time,and filled us in on the project as it progressed. My selection of interior doors hit a few delivery snags, however the crew was able to continue working on other tasks until I finally got the right doors. My wife and I were much appreciative of Gary and team's patience to ensure our basement met our expectations. Overall, everything came out great and the doors/hardware match our house. The details make the difference, and Perryhall worked to get them right. Another part of the project included us wanting a basement drybar and half bathroom. We worked with a vendor recommended by Perryhall and ordered custom cabinetry for the vanity and bar. Steve and Mike installed the cabinets and fit them for our space. A miscommunication for the vanity depth by me and the vendor resulted in some extra work on Steve's end, but he made them all fit properly and function as intended. Steve also performed the sanding and painting on the drywall. We picked the colors and he painted them to our specifications. He did a great job of thoroughly sanding and ensuring a good finish. He was very particular and obviously took pride in his work. This was also evident in that he came over on weekends as needed to touch up, install, re-sand, etc parts of the basement that needed further attention. We asked for some wordwork along our stairway, and he went above and beyond by routing out the trim piece to give a little more definition. Overall, things came out great, the billing was on point for the work provided, and there was good communication along the way. This particular project can be frustrating for the contractor as I (the customer) was taking responsibility for obtaining several specific parts. I'm not a pro, and thus there were errors on my part along the way regarding measurements and specifics, but Perryhall worked through it and made everything come together. I can't ask for anything more, and our finished basement is an area of our house we look forward to enjoying for many years.

Although the blizzard should start shortly, I still find myself going outside or looking out the window to see our new deck/covered porch. We are so thrilled with the finished product and the wonderful experience we had through the process. We had PH remodeling fix columns on our front porch, and while the owner was here (Gary) I asked him about replacing our deck and maybe enclosing it. Gary gave us the vision, and then Joe followed through and did the work. We debated going with Trex, but at Gary?s suggestion, went with regular wood for flooring and steps, and then used maintenance free vinyl for all the railings. This allowed us to have the covered porch (12x16) and the open area (12x8) for the same, or even less, cost of a basic trex for a deck without an enclosure. We did run into holidays and LOTS of rainy days, but whenever weather cooperated, Joe and workers would be here. I even had days where Joe would be outside waiting for the sun to come up to get started. Holidays and weekends did not stop him from getting the work completed. Although they are a ?remodeling? business, I think they should be known for the quality and talent they have with decks and enclosures. Hopefully the photos convey what a spectacular job they did. The company was excellent. From the initial inspection and quote to the timeliness and the quality of the work provided. When they were finished I was extremely happy with the end product and they completely cleaned up the work area. I would use this company in the future.

The repairs were outstanding. The crew was on time and the job was completed as stated on estimate. Perry Hall and Gary (Owner) have always gone above and beyond with their detail to get the work done correctly. Gary and his team are very good to work with from start to finish and I would recommend Perry Hall Remodeling to Family and Friends without fear. These guys are good!

I was extremely pleased with the final product. They cleaned up and placed drop cloths down on the floors every day.. The workers were very professional and friendly. Kept me up to date on the process explaining in detail what would take place each day. I would highly recommend this company as I was completely satisfied.

We had work done previously and Gary's team saw where there were gaps allowing water to get into the home. If they hadn't identified the problems, we could have been looking at significant damage, I called on the morning of the job, asked for extra trim to be painted. They went to home depot to pick up the paint (no cost besides receipt for paint). They not only did what was in the contract, but while up on the roof, painted extra trim around a hard to reach window. Keeping a home in repair may cost $, but I truly feel that we have found a company that will give us an honest estimate of what needs to be done and a very fair price. Thank you not only to Gary Sr, but also t o Angie's list for helping us find such a great company.

Perfect! I had already spent time trying to find someone to replace the large porch columns and was not happy with responses from 2 companies. I joined Angie's list, read reviews and contacted Perryhall Remodeling. The same day, Gary SR called and set up appointment for two days later to come out for a cost estimate. Gary arrived on time along with his brother. They were quick but very thorough. When looking at the porch columns, he also pointed out where wood was rotting and needed to be replaced. They also saw that some of our problems could have been from a misaligned gutter. Later that night, Gary SR sent a contract via email which included all we had discussed and the price. His quote was the same as one I had received from another contractor, but included so much more than just "replace two porch columns" for the same price. Day of work (about 10 days later since columns had to be ordered), Gary SR arrived here by 7am to meet with his crew and look over the project. I went off to work and when I came home, all was completed. Front of porch and garage looked great, Only indication they were here was the cans of paint neatly stacked in the corner of the porch. We are very excited to find a company who has been in business for so long, are friendly and professional to work with, and have a wide range of services they can provide. Thank you Gary!

The deck turned out beautiful. It was a selling point of my house. After having house on the market I got two offers within 24 hours.

The stairs on my deck were not properly built and installed when I had the deck built in 2011 (builder has since gone out of business, go figure). As a result, the stairs were pulling apart from the deck and were a safety hazard for my tenants. I called Gary to get an estimate for the repair. Unlike some of the other companies I contacted, he actually returned my call and was very prompt in providing the estimate. He was then able to quickly make the repair, which involved having to rebuild the stairs completely. He and his team were able to reuse the original decking material, which helped with the material costs. They did a great, professional job! I'm a long distance property owner, and Gary sent me photos and made having to deal with the repair while living 1000 miles away very easy. Highly recommend!

The job was just perfect! They first pulled out the old steps and concrete and were very neat and considerate. It was a tough job because it was very hot and Bud was just wonderful. They then poured new concrete. Jimmy, the bricklayer, did a terrific job laying the new brick steps and the new brick blends perfectly with the porch. They then installed new, upgraded, railings, which will make our lives much easier for using the steps. Lastly, within the wink of an eye, the new shutters were installed just as requested. The job went smoothly and we are very happy with the results.

We were very pleased with the work that Gary and his sons completed for us. They arrived on time and cleaned up when they were finished. Everyone was very easy to talk with and our questions were addressed. They even left the paint with us that was used to paint some of the brick. All in all we were very impressed and will be calling them back in the future to have other work completed.

I discovered that I had water leaking into my second floor living room and needed fast assistance determining the source of the water. Gary Sr came out and determined that the water was most likely coming from around/under the door and the door needed to be replaced. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions or concerns. I had an estimate in my hands later that day and I was so impressed by the turn around time, great customer service, and overall price that I decided to have Perryhall Remodeling complete the installation of my new door. On the morning of installation, Gary Sr, Gary Jr, and Chris were all very friendly and a great company to work with. The original plan was to install a 6" sliding glass door, but the plan was reworked once Jr arrived to include a 5" door instead. During the installation, all of my questions were answered with ease and they explained what they were doing. Their greatest concern and mine was that the water leak problem was fixed. Luckily it rained the day after installation and Gary Sr and Jr both called to ensure the water leakage problem was fixed, to answer any last minute questions, and to make sure I was satisfied with the job. I couldn't have asked for a more professional company to complete this job and will definitely be using them for future projects.

The work was done when I was told it would be done. It looks amazing. The workers took care to clean up behind themselves. My neighbors asked for referrals because of the great job they did. I would definitely use them again.

Both jobs done with professional and thorough approach. Worked with other contractors who were installing gutters to minimize the time I would be without gutters. Gary, Tim and Gary, Jr. were professional and punctual finishing the work quickly and thoroughly. Got great advice on what to have done and what not to have done. They are true to their commitment to customer service. House looks great and I would certainly recommend this company again.

The job went well. Was very pleased with the new door and over-all quality of the work. Work force was well coordinated and professional. Felt throughout the job that I was getting my money's worth. Highly recommend them to anyone that needs work done.

Gary and Tim came out two days after I signed the contract. The work crew arrived at 8 A.M. and went right to work. They were thorough, courteous, and efficient. Gary did an amazing job of matching caulk colors to the siding - two different colors. It is apparent to me why this company repeatedly received the Superior Service Award. Professionalism and friendliness exudes.

I called Perryhall remodeling to ask for the free quote to replace the roof. Surprisingly, Tim told me that the roof is still in good-conditioned for at least 4-5 years, and the minor issues needed to be repaired. He showed up on time. I am appreciated all his works and advice. I will do business with him again.

They were able to start the initial work immediately, and it was completed in a day. Roof was inspected and cleaned, flashing was resealed and vents were resealed and painted. Masonry repairs were made to brick chimney and several courses repointed. In addition to contracted work, they also sanded and painted an addition chimney at no charge. Area was cleaned and swept before they left. Due to speed and quality of first job, they were contracted to make repairs to a cracked block retaining wall next to driveway, which were begun within two weeks. They first removed old coat of parge, then covered and anchored entire wall with wire mesh and applied two coats of parge with brushed finish, with waterproofing to follow when weather permits. Job took about four days in all. Driveway was cleared and all debris removed each day prior to their leaving. In addition to contracted work, they also made some repairs to garage siding at no charge. We have been completed satisfied with all work performed, and would recommend them without any reservations.

Gary and the entire Perryhall Remodeling team are professional, fair, knowledgeable and courteous. To give you the backstory on our house, it was built in 1903 and many renovations were done by the previous owner who bought the house as a handyman special, renovated it, and then flipped it. We bought the house not knowing that many renovations were not done to code or any set of building standards. Our kitchen at one time was a two car garage that was added to the back of the house, which sits on a slab and touches the driveway on one side. From the driveway, you can see where the existing garage door used to be from the outline in the stucco. My husband and I had a very unique situation where we noticed water damage to our hardwood floors in the kitchen; however, we couldn?t find the source of the water (although we suspected that it must be coming in from the driveway where the old garage door used to be). After eliminating leaky appliances and plumbing with our handyman, we contacted several contractors (some of which were very highly ranked on Angie?s List). Most of the contractors who came to the house didn?t feel comfortable bidding the job since there were so many unknowns. We got a few quotes with ?best case/worst case? estimates that were so broad (up to 20k), we didn't feel comfortable moving forward (one contractor wanted to charge us 4k to remove our cabinets, counter top, and sink just to access the back wall to do some investigating). Unlike the other contractors, Gary wanted to find the root of the problem before arbitrarily throwing out a dollar figure. To save us money, he suggested that our handyman remove a cabinet and cut a hole in the Sheetrock behind it and then he would come back after a rainy day to investigate whether water was getting in through the wall, where the driveway met the kitchen. I was impressed by how contentious and considerate Gary was from the beginning. Gary came to the house the second time to look in the wall and could not find any water. A day or two after Gary was there, our waterline to the ice maker burst and water was spraying all of the floor. I called Gary to ask if that could be the source and he said it was highly possible, especially if the water was leaking over time. After the ice maker was fixed, I noticed the floor was continuing to get worse, eliminating our theory that it was the source of the problem. So, I called Gary again and he came out a third time and agreed that the floor had gotten increasingly worse. He came back a few days later with his brother (Tim), and Joe. The three of them put their heads together and Joe decided he wanted to see behind the cabinets again, despite not finding any trace of moisture the first time. The next day, Joe and Gary came back to the house, removed the cabinet and dug down to access the lowest point to the ground. Joe went outside and directed the garden hose at the spot where he suspected the water to enter and sure enough, from inside the house, he could see that water was pouring in below the cabinets. It turned out that the exterior wall that was built to fill in the old garage door was laid directly on top of the asphalt driveway (a porous surface)!!!! After MONTHS of eliminating different theories, Gary and his crew identified the problem!!! Keep in mind, that Gary had made five (yes, FIVE) visits to my house and had not charged me a cent! (I would have had to pay that other contractor $4k to aggressively take apart half of my kitchen to find the problem). Gary presented a very thorough plan of all of the steps that needed to be done for the repairs and at a very fair and honest price. I had asked Gary for a few other estimates for unrelated side jobs (sealing our back doors, repairing our front porch steps), all of which were also priced very fair. No question that we would be hiring Gary!! After the trench had been dug in the driveway, I happened to go outside one evening and turn on the hose to water the boxwood bushes. When I came back to wind up the hose, I gasped in horror when I saw the trench filled with water. I called Gary in a state of panic as I was convinced the water source was now twofold: the makeshift exterior wall and a leaking hose pipe. Gary called me first thing the next morning and confirmed that our hose pipe had frozen and burst and needed replacing. He also noticed that there wasn?t an accessible shut off valve because the previous owner installed it in an area that was covered by cabinets (for the record, I had been unsuccessfully looking for that shut off valve every winter so that I could properly drain the hose and bib to avoid freezing and broken pipes)! I was really nervous by how much additional scope and cost this would add to our contract price but was so pleased that it was done for $470. Gary and his team were top-notch professionals throughout the entire project. The quality of their work is unparalleled. Gary kept the lines of communication open and was very considerate in his follow-up and provided me with status updates along the way. I truly felt that I was in the best care and that Gary treated me as a he would a friend or a family member. I can?t recommend Perryhall Remodeling enough! I look forward to our next home project and using Gary?s services again in the future. *I used another company to repair the hardwood floors as I had already paid them a deposit after we thought the ice maker was the cause of the water damage; however, we would have used Perryhall Remodeling if that weren't the case.
