Description of Work: Needed to fix up and finish a shed

Description of Work: I needed to make a room in my home handicap accessable as soon as possible for my husband. I had a handicap bathtub installed and the bathroom enlarged to accomadate a wheelchair. I also had shelves and a french door installed to allow access to the front porch. I also had 2 dooerways made wider for equipment and wheelchair access. I also had heat vents and plumbing lines moved for the new bath.

Description of Work: The situation was for remodeling and they added floors and did some painting, and they did some drywall and repairing walls.

Description of Work: A little background: We had a wonderful roofer named John, of C Joy Roofing, who used to do all of our roofing work. The jobs were always small between two different residences, but try getting a major roofing company to call you back, show up, or not try to rip you off for a new roof, even if you don't need one. John was always punctual, reasonably priced, and did quality work. Unfortunately, John perished this past year when he fell off of a roofing job. Trying to replace this wonderful human being was becoming a challenge, as we had 26 shingles blown off of our roof as a result of high winds this year. We met the same problems...no call backs, or terrible prices. In desperation to find a competent roofer, I subscribed to Angie's List. Thank God for Gary and Perry Hall Remodeling. I have found John's successor, not just for roofing, but for many other areas. Thank you, Gary, for your honesty and hard work. I will definitely be using Perry Hall Remodeling again, and referring friends and family to same.

Description of Work: Partial structural roof repair and resurfacing.

Description of Work: I used the services of Perryhall Remodeling for roofing and carpentry, in January, 2011.

Description of Work: They enclosed an existing porch to turn it into a home office and also built a 330 SF deck out of PVC decking material surrounded by vinyl railings.

Description of Work: Gary and his son removed an old plaster and lathe ceiling in my dining room that had a furred out ceiling below it and replaced with a drywall ceiling, they also installed base moulding and crown moulding in this room. In another room (small bedroom) they laminated sheetrock over the existing plaster and lathe wall and ceiling and installed new crown.

Description of Work: Replaced roof and damaged wood. Replace two (2) skylights. Replaced gutters and facia siding. Built a window seat for my dining room bay window space.

Description of Work: Installed new gutters, replaced fascia board, replaced rotted wood in the joists, came out when the leaves were all down and cleaned the gutters.

Description of Work: They provided a basement waterproofing estimate.

Description of Work: When a stone veneer was installed on our home, all of the downspouts needed to be modified. Perry Hall Remodeling made the modifications and reconnected the downspouts to the house.

Description of Work: They cleane3d my gutters,installed flashing between the roof shingles and the gutters and installed gutter guards.

Description of Work: Gary at Perry Hall has done numerous jobs for me, including siding, roofing, attic fans, basement waterproofing, caulking, etc. I listed $4,000 above as the price I most recently paid, but over the last few years and multiple jobs he has earned much more.

Description of Work: They wired the front porch walls and poured 2 coats of concrete and water proofed it. They have also caulked our windows and doors, roofing, installed new gutters and down spouts, rebuilt our chimney and painted on previous jobs.

Description of Work: First, he came to clean my spouts. When he was cleaning the spouts he saw some problems. He replaced some of the spouts that were causing me issues. He put a sleeve on one of the spouts that would direct the water in a different location. Gary also connected a pipe from the down spout to the road. He even caulked my windows (14). Gary also said that my roof was good, and didn't want anyone to try and sell me a new roof, but he did get on my roof and nail down some of the shingles that were coming up. Lastly, he also sealed up some vents.

Description of Work: We met Gary and his workers when they were working on my neighbor's home. He came over and introduced himself and his company and asked if we needed any work done? I knew we needed work done on the gutters and downspouts. So, with my husband's approval, that work was done, however, Gary was up on the roof and noticed a "huge" problem festering! Our home was built in 1966 by a contractor, who was unknown to my husband and he didn't think to ask for references. The home was brand new and looked great on the outside and inside, but unknown to us was not built by any code that we now know. He either paid someone off or the home was never properly inspected. Now, what Gary saw on the roof was mildew, mold and decay of the plywood. He took some of the shingles off and it was all over. We have had the roof taken care of in the past, but the plywood was never checked. Shingles were put over shingles, which is the common way to do a roof. We had the entire roof replaced, the insulation (what little there was left), was completely destroyed. We had new super heavy insulation, drywall, joyces and much thicker plywood installed. It was a huge job. Gary started this work in December, 2007. The weather did not cooperate, let's face it, we were in the "dead" of winter. His painting is the best I've ever had done, very, very neat. The windows (5) were replaced because the casing and window sills were decaying. We have the energy star windows that look great and are very easy to clean. Gary actually built the window sills before they were installed. He installed a solar fan on the roof that takes the humidity from the upper level. Gary also fixed our front steps, which had come loose over the years. Good cement work by him and his crew.

Description of Work: new roof including plywood and solar attic fan, gutters and aluminum trim, vinyl siding on entire back, and two sides.

Description of Work: Installed all new windows, repaired falling foundation on side of front porch, reset porch steps, replaced 5 sections of front concrete, serviced loose shingles and replaced chimney, covered back and front fascia with white aluminum, installed lawan floor and vinyl floor tiles in kitchen, scraped basement walls and applied masonary drylock paint to waterproof, repaired all railings on outside stairs (front and back).

Description of Work: I hired them to repair the upper roof, new roof on a lower level, fixed an interior leak, painted, window, doors, gutters.

Description of Work: In 2007 he painted front door, installed cobra vents to roof, installed aluminum flashing to gutters, in 2008 he installed 3 down spouts on the side of my house, which saved my backyard from flooding, and 2 gable vents on the side of the house. This year he installed a new ridged on the roof and installed shingles. He checked out my son's 1's roof, took pictures of everything and drove back to my house to show me since I was paying for the repairs. He did a complete new roof, installed wood fascia, and covered it aluminum.

Description of Work: He has done two jobs for me. He completely gutted our main bathroom, redid all the walls, put in new tub and vanity, hooked up all the plumbing, and laid ceramic tile. They also ripped out all the trim around our double doors. They replaced all the trim and molding with beautiful decorative trim and molding. They took me out to pick the trim and explain different options.

Description of Work: They covered the wooden support holes with vinyl on my front porch, sealed a crack on the front porch and reinforced it. They put a roof on the addition on my house recently did a complete re roof of my home. They also fixed the seals on my windows and installed a solar ventilation fan on my roof.

Description of Work: Complete basement remodel this time. They removed ruined paneling and floor tiles and sprayed to kill mold and mildew; sealed and waterproofed all walls; installed new lighting, outlets, switches, insulation, drywall, drop ceiling, glassblock windows; installed battery backups to two sump pumps; cleaned, sealed and painted cement floor; replaced plumbing in bathroom and laundry room and installed new lights and vanity in bathroom; added proper venting to crawlspace; replaced steps, landing and handrails; restored, bled and installed radiator; added trim and baseboards and painted entire basement, stairwell and landing. Loaded and unloaded heavy furniture from storage containers.
