The work went terrific. Couldn't find anything to complain about if I wanted to. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 on professionalism was that it rained one day they were scheduled to come out and didn't call to cancel or reschedule. I complained about this and they were quite responsive. They were extremely busy and I can understand how they might not think to call given it was a rainy day and they were working on the roof but they made no excuses. Aside from that slight annoyance they were completely straightforward. I trust them to take good care of me and this is the second time I have used them. I will definitely use them again. I just appreciate the fact that they do what they say they are going to do and do it well.

Hands down, BEST SERVICE AND COMPANY EVER!!! From the initial phone call until the final payment, the owner, Gary Howard, Sr. and his brother and family were nothing but professional, courteous, and remarkable. They were the only company out of the original 3 that I called where I could get an immediate appointment, and they started the job (and finished) very quickly. No waiting around for them to finish their work, or coming home to a big mess. I am so pleased with the results and can't wait to use them again. I felt safe giving them a key to my home and they impressed me so much with their attitude, professionalism, respectfulness, cleaning up, etc. It is rare today that you find people who really have a passion for their work and CARE about other people and their work. I struck gold when I found Perry Hall Remodeling. I truly feel like this family treated me like I was part of theirs, and I was just not another customer. I have been ripped off and taken advantage of from other people who have done work on my home in the past, and in fact Gary and his crew had to repair one of the damages from other people that I had trusted. I can't say enough good words about this company, their owner, and their work. You will not be diappointed when you make the decision to go with Perry Hall Remodeling. Highly recommended and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I left a message for Perryhall Remodeling and received a very timely call back. Gary came out at the agreed upon time and completed an estimate which explained in detail what work would be done and the total cost of that work. After receiving several other estimates, we chose to go with Perryhall Remodeling not only for their professionalism, but for their detailed estimate and breakdown of all costs. Even though their estimate was not the least expensive, it was the only one that covered everything that we needed done. Once the start date was agreed upon, their crew came in and took care of all the work that was covered on the estimate in two days. Upon completion, the job site was immaculate and the completed work was outstanding. One of the main reasons we called Perryhall Remodeling initially was because of the comments from previous customers and I can say that we experienced the same. I would not hesitate to contact them again for any remodeling needs that we may have in the future. Extremely satisfied customers!

From the moment we hired Gary he has been very professional and responsive. He even made temporary repairs on the roofs before a major storm to prevent further water damage. The first day of work when removing the existing roof they discovered structural damage caused by long term water damage. Gary was very straight forward in explaining the problems and the necessary repairs. The entire roof and ceiling had to be removed and support beam and trusses replaced. The job turned into something much more involved than we anticipated but it was made much easier knowing that the repairs were being done professionally and honestly. The final result was great. The interior looked like a an entirely new room and the exterior looked better than ever. Everyone was very professional, responsive, and hard working. I would definitely use them for our next project and recommend them highly.

If we're honest with ourselves, everyone that comes to Angie's List probably knows what they want done... we just don't all know how to do the work or who to trust to do it right (or how we would, which isn't always the same). I called several contractors for estimates and most of the estimates were relatively in line. It seems that part of the process is fairly straightforward... Blah blah measure, blah blah colors, blah blah material, blah blah labor... estimate. So choosing between those estimates comes down to punctuality, price, comfort and other's experiences. I am more than happy to share my experience after calling Perry Hall Remodeling. The owner, Gary Howard, showed up to do the estimate with his brother Tim, of Timothy's Home Improvement for which I will copy this recommendation. Both were knowledgable, engaging, attentive and showed a definite interest in understanding what I was interested in getting done. They answered my questions with the confidence that comes from experience and I was impressed with their attention to details that I had overlooked, though I lived in the house for 10 years. I received a detailed estimate (including several smaller estimates had I chosen to do only parts of the job, as I had requested). What I have learned is that the real difference between contractors is what happens after the work begins. What happens after you see what was under the surface? How will the contractor react? Will he ignore it? Be able to fix it? Or worse... run up the price because you're vulnerable???? There were years of hidden problems that were uncovered during this job. Each was pointed out and alternate plans for dealing with them offered. At no time did I feel pressured to address any of the problems in one particular way nor did I feel that I was being told to fix a problem that I couldn't see (like the old kiniffling pin that always needed to be replaced when you went for an oil change or tire rotation). All work was done in the most professional manner and the results were marvelous to behold. My home was a beehive of activity during the day and neat as a pin before the crew left for the evening. The final result is beautiful from the outside and comforting from the inside. If you are looking for a contractor that you can trust, call Gary or Tim, I know I'll be calling them first in the future. Their word is their bond and that's refreshing these days.

job went extremely well, the crew started early on sat morning, work late saturday nite and came back early sun morning to complete job. All of this was done to start and complete roof during a break in recent heavy rains, cleanup was done extremely well, the owners were very hands on in all phases of the job and very conscience about submitting a bid, following up on the contract, scheduling the work and seeing the work was completed. would definitly use again and have recommended them to my neighbors

Gary came out to look at the roof within a day or two of my initial call. He gave us an estimate on the spot. He followed up later in the day to send us a contract. Initially he told us that it would be 1-2 weeks before they could do the work but something changed in their schedule and we had our new roof within a few days of the first visit. Gary called a few days later (while it was raining) to make sure everything was ok which it was. We were so happy to have found this company.

Gary and crew came promptly accessed the situation, gave me an estimate and came two days later. In three days of steady working the trio completely the job perfectly.

I can echo all the positive feedback you will read in the other reports for Perry Hall Remodeling. I based my choice of contractors on these reports and I was not disappointed. Gary and all of his colleagues are professional, nice and responsive. I had to wait a couple weeks to get on Gary's schedule, but it was worth it. Additionally, he is realistic and honest about when he can start your job so that he doesn't have to postpone and keep you waiting any longer. In fact, in my case, they were able to get a head-start on the project because bad weather forced them to postpone work on an outdoor project. They started early and finished ahead of schedule. Every day I was briefed on what was accomplished and what their plan was for the following day. The price was outstanding and more than competitive with other contractors and the work was outstanding, as well. They went the extra mile to ensure that everything was done professionally. We had one bathroom completely remodeled and a small master bathroom installed in a what was a walk-in closet. They also added a window to the Master Bath. Their rough-in, tile work and installation of all the necessary components was great and the finished product is beautiful. I especially appreciated Gary's responsiveness returning phone calls in a timely fashion and providing any information I needed. I highly recommend them!

It went very well. The owner, Gary, was the first estimate that I got. I was very impressed with him when we met that I just went with him company. He was very professional and always on-time. After we signed the contract, there was an issue with our barn that wasn't in the contract that he said he would take care of at no cost. Right after we signed the contract, Gary had some horrible personal issues that I told him he could take all the time he needed to take care of it. To my surprise, Gary started the exact day the contract stated. All of his workers were very professional as well. I had contacted him a few days after the job was done, and there were a couple of small things I had issues with. He showed up that same day and took a couple hours to correct all those issues. Everythings looks great now and I couldn't be happier. Update- 11/10/2011- I called Gary to complete a small job that we had priviosly discused and was in the contract from months ago. It took me some time to find the parts needed. He came over a few days later to a**** the job, his son and two others returned a couple of days later to complete the work. As before, I could not be happier. Thanks again Gary, you are the best in the business!!!

Gary came out and gave us the estimate and he and his crew showed up when promised. The work took over a week and they came and labored daily to finsh the job timely. They did such a good job on the porch we hired them on the spot to then replace the fascia under the gutters and the gutters around the house. All the work was done exactly as promised and it was done well. The rebuilt porch looks great and the new gutters worked quite well during the recent hurricane and tropical storm. If you want the job done right, hire Gary.

Working with Gary and his brother and subs has been a really great experience. Gary was super responsive and prompt to all questions and concerns. We got many estimates for all of the work we needed and their prices were the best. They were also gracious enough to come in a week before schedule to do an emergency fix on a leaking shower. They offer warranty on all of their labor and did all of the work to our specifications. They pay special attention to how you want the job done and make sure you are completely happy with their work before they finish. They show up on time and get the job done on time and don't leave the work waiting like many contractors are famous for. We've used many different companies for various things in an attempt to find a quality, honest, trustworthy, and fair priced contractor and we've found that at Perryhall Remodeling. I highly recommend these guys.

I am very pleased with the total experience and confident that they did an outstanding job. Crews are polite and considerate and worked hard from the minute they arrived to when they left for the day. Cleaned up at the end of each day.

They were really good but we went with somebody else because of pricing. He didn't include everything so we went with somebody else that did the whole package. We didn't want to get different quotes for different things because it was time consuming.

They did an excellent job. I would be hiring them again. They did exactly as per the quoted price. They were top notch. I have no hesitation in using them again.

After a long, wet spring, Gary Howard and a crew arrived early on Memorial Day to put on a new roof. I soon learned that my old plywood was not going to support the contractactors' shingles I had ordered. I had a choice of signing a waiver stating that I realized that the old plywood was inferior, or buying new plywood, which tacked on $5000 to the original quote. I opted for the new plywood. During days when the temperature was 98 degrees on the ground, the roofing crew was up there tearing out the old roof in sections and installing the new roof. My old attic fan was at the end of its days, so they got a new one (which I piad for) and installed it. They also took down an old antenna which had been a blight on the roof for many years. The entire project cost more than I originally planned, but I am very pleased with my beautiful new roof which will surely outlast me. The workers were very prompt each morning and continued working in blistering heat. Everything was left neat at the end of each day and at the end of the project. I was continually kept apprised of the work in progress. Gary and his brother couldn't be nicer and are careful to make sure that the job is professionally completed. After the roofing was completed I noticed a small break in the ceiling of my closet. Gary and his brother promptly repaired that and painted the repair. I am now hiring them to stain my porch floor and the deck and steps outside the porch. I will probably call on them for other work in the future.

Outstanding! Very professional company. Promptly on time for estimate appointment. Scheduled roof replacement within days. The company owner, Gary Howard, called the night before and suggested an extra early start because the weather report was for rain in the afternoon. As promised they arrived early and completed the roof before the rain started Quality work completed on schedule with quality materials by courteous and conscientious workers and a competitive price. Excellent job of cleanup after work was completed. I will be using Perry Hall Remodeling for other projects.

I had put off having a roofing contractor come out and look at my house. I was convinced that no matter who I talked to they would tell me I needed a new roof or the world would soon end. The leaks around my back door and chimney finally got to me, and I went to Angies List to see what I could find. I found Perry Hall Remodeling and noted that they had quite a few great write ups, so I held my breath and called them. Gary came out, I showed him my concerns, and asked him to assess the whole situation with my roof, my flashing, my gutters (overflowing and jammed), and my vent pipes (which were deteriorated from the sun). He went up on the roof and walked around pointing out problem shingles, (my heart was climbing in my throat, expecting him to say the whole roof was bad). He came down and told me I had about 30-35 bad shingles, the flashing was never put in right, the chimney needed to be sealed, but the cap was good (there were a few cracks but he could fix them), there was no flashing around the base of my roof into the gutters, my gutters were clogged, and my vent pipe covers were shot. However, my roof overall was good and not to let anyone tell me I needed a new roof. (Sigh of relief here!) I asked for an estimate to fix everything, but to break it up so I might have him do it in increments over the summer. He said, if I wanted to eventually do it all, he would do it and let me pay over the summer, he said he would work up the proposal and we could talk about arrangements for paying, Cool! The bill came to about $6500 to replace the 30-35 bad shingles, redo the bad flashing, seal the chimney, fix the gutter by my back door (which was short and needed a short extension.), put flashing all around my house (going in to the gutters), seal all my windows with silicon, and replace the vent covers with some new type that look like little umbrellas, that are a permanent solution, clean my gutters, and put gutter-guards all around my house. They showed up when they said they would, did everything they said they would and more, They power washed my house for almost nothing (saved me close to $300, since I did have another contractor scheduled to come do that). When Gary came back to go over everything with me, he was dissatisfied with a few things and did not like the way the gutter extension looked. He came back and put a whole new gutter (about 40 feet) on at no additional cost! He also decided rather than just caulk my basement door; he wrapped everything in aluminum, so I would never have to worry about it, even the metal plate over the door! He went over every detail, and nit picked his guys work, and had several things that I would never have noticed redone or reworked. They also helped me get my sliding glass door to work right (it never slide all the way easily, and could not be adjusted, they reworked the frame to get it to work right). Overall I could not be happier with this experience. I have my contractor for future work. They kept the worksite clean, and they cleaned up after themselves when done. You can’t tell where the new shingles are, and talk about stopping leaks, it hasn’t even rained since Gary did the work! That’s full service! I highly recommend Gary and his family (his brother and son are part of the business)!

Well, the company did show up on time and they seemed to know a lot of about kitchen remodeling but the price was just way to much so I went elsewhere for the work. In the end, my kitchen turned out beautifully for a couple thousand dollars less than what Perryhall Remodeling estimated the total cost of the job would up being. Glad I made this decision.

They were very nice. They seemed capable and efficient.

Gary came to look at the roof shortly after I called. He took photos of the roof problem spots, clearly explained what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. All for free! We had some trouble setting up a second appointment to actually fix the roof but it was due to weather and circumstances beyond Perry Hall's control. On the scheduled day, Gary's son arrived on time and immediately got to work. He clearly explained what he was doing and completed the job professionally. Top notch service from a nice family business. We will call them again for all of our roofing needs.
