Overall, the project went well from our standpoint. The owner, Gary Howard, Sr., provided detailed explanations of every phase of the work. The proposals were clear and complete. All changes to the job scope were documented and agreed beforehand. Several unexpected tasks were handled graciously and without additional charge. For example, when removing the old brick patio, the concrete pad under the bricks was found to be as much as 24" thick is some places - an unpleasant surprise that required additional time and equipment to remove. And the temperatures that week hovered around 100 degrees. It was brutal! But the workmen were good-natured and polite throughout. Care was taken to minimize collateral damage to the lawn and shrubs. Daily and final clean-up were good. Mr. Howard on several occasions made suggestions that reduced our cost and at his expense. He was at the job site almost every day. Six months have passed since all the work was completed and we are very pleased with the finished product. We will contract with Perry Hall again. Based upon our experience, we can recommend Mr. Howard and his company.

Within a week of first contact Gary came out and inspected the areas needing repair. I received a written estimate/contract a few days later to approve sign and return. The work was done a few weeks later to coincide with other work i was having done inside the house. Gary came out in the morning with his crew of two, got them oriented to the scope of the job. The two man crew completed the job in one day. From my layman perspective everything looks good. I was on the roof and inspected the work first-hand. The visible sag in that area of the roof is gone.

We hired Perry Hall Remodeling to re-install a front door and storm door that were installed wrong by another contractor. Gary was great to work with. He returned my call promptly and came out to give an estimate. His pricing was in line with some of the other contractors we received quotes from but I felt he seemed more knowledgeable and would do a great job. He came out this past Saturday with another contractor from his team, Don. Don completed the removal of our door and re-installation in a few hours and it was 100% better than before! I wish we would have hired Perry Hall Remodeling to begin with!

Had an enclosed back porch that leaked occassionally over the years, but had never been properly corrected by those that I called, including the person who built the porch. After consulting Angie's list I decided to call Perry Hall Remodeling. Both Mr. Howards of Perry Hall Remodeling came out within a day and diaqgnosed the problem right away. I felt very comfortable with them from the beginning and that I could trust them. They explained that they had a lot of jobs already scheduled and it would be 4-6 weeks before they could do it, but would call me as soon as possible. They came out within 4 weeks, arriving at 7 a.m. and set right to work. Mr. Howard stayed on the job site most of the day. The team worked quickly, efficiently and when they left around 3 p.m. absolutely everything was cleaned up. Mr. Howard even called the next day to be sure I was pleased with the work. The back of the house looks so good it makes we want to have the rest of my old siding replaced. And best of all, we've had some heavy rains and my porch is beautifully dry. Thank you Perry Hall Remodeling. It's finally nice to have a company that I can call for work to be done and know it will be done right.

Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism and work ethics of this company. As a female, its very hard to find a contactor that is honest with you about what kind of repairs need to be done. The pervious contactor I had in my home hyperexaggerated the amount of work that needed to be done as well as the price. I found Perryhall Remodeling to be honest and fair. They came on time daily, and were extremely respectful of my property. They came daily until the work was done and completely cleaned up after themselves. The point when I knew I was working with good, honest people was at the end, when all the work was done and it was time for payment. Previously, I had asked Greg to get the crown molding I wanted for me and provided him the money to do so. When Greg and Tim arrived a my home to collect payment, they first handed me ~$147 in cash and a receipt. They explained to me that his team was really smart about using the crown molding and were able to limit waste. Therefore, they did't need all of the crown molding I had purchased. They returned what was left over and provided me with the refund! They could have returned the extra molding, pocketed the money, and I would have never known. They didn't because this is a company with morals and good honest people! They definitely earned their A rating on Angie's list. The work that was done is very high quality and beautiful! I couldn't be more pleased, and I can say they have earned a customer for life!

The quality and the workmanship are fantastic; but sometimes, the scheduling is not the best. They are friendly, they answer any questions and they are personable. Once, it was scheduled on the agreed upon day and it was fine as they showed up on time; but the problem was that it was keep getting jerked around and it was then moved to another day. We got a call and they said they would be here at 7 A.M. the next day.

I expected the worst in regards to the complexity of the job though it could only be confirmed when they opened up the framing to reveal what was going on. I was actually not surprised as I had already done some spot repairs the last time I painted/caulked and rot is unfortunately typical with wood sided chimney chases and its rare to find one that has not had some degree of water damage after 23 years. Overall this was a very challenging project and was glad that they attacked it with confidence and professionalism. Most folks would have run screaming when they saw this one.

I initially used Gary for some work after Hurricane Sandy. I had some leaking come into my house from where my deck was attached. Instead of going the most expensive route he tried doing some caulking all around my deck. So far no more leaking. I have since contacted them this February to replace my cement steps to my house. The steps were replaced a few weeks a ago. He has a cement guy that does all of the cement work that has many years of experience. Gary also installed aluminum flashing underneath roof into my gutters around my house. Initially he was going to seal my gutters and found that there were too many holes in it to seal and also replaced the gutters. He did not change the contract price that was agreed upon for the additional work. He also, powerwashed foundation of my house and sprayed two coats of waterproofing on the foundation. I have been very pleased with his work and my experience with this company. He listens to what you have to say and makes his suggestions on what needs to be done. If there is a least expensive way he will try this first. A lot of contractors will try to tell you need something that you do not need. I feel Gary's company is honest and he will do what is right. I have some floors to be replaced that I will definitely go to Gary in the future.

Prior to a major roof repair, our house was robbed. The door and frame - and our sense of security - were destroyed in the process. Not only did PerryHall Remodelers secure the entry (at no cost) while they arrived to do the roof job, but Mr. Howard, stood by his offer to measure, order, and install a custom replacement door at his cost. He also made sure it was done under the same permit too. That resulted in a substantial, and very much appreciated, savings. Thank you! All the work was done at our convenience during one (long) day, on a weekend no less. The gentleman who did the work was on top of everything, on time, professional, and everything looks wonderful.

We contacted PerryHall Remodeling through Angie's List. Gary responded quickly and set up an appointment to discuss the job. The price was quoted was significantly lower than the other quotes. The roof was repaired quickly by Gary. He advised that we wait to repair the wall until after a storm to make sure that the leak was completely repaired. Shortly after the roof repair, Hurricane Sandy came through. The roof repair was thoroughly tested and NO LEAKS. The wall repair was scheduled and Gary and his crew came. During the repair additional damage was found in the wall and ceiling (additional damage could not have been found until the demolition of existing wall). Gary kept us informed about the additional cost and time for the repair. The work was done quickly and professionally. We would highly recommend them and will use them again for any home improvement needs.

We had used PerryHall Remodeling on a different project last year and had been extremely impressed with the quality of the work and also their professionalism. When this new issue surfaced with our walls in the living room and foyer, we naturally reached out to Gary. He took a look at the damage and gave us an estimate. As he started working on the house, he uncovered some additional issues which needed to be addressed and resulted in additional work for his team. But to his credit Gary neither complained nor tried to re-negotiate the terms. The work was done right and again the quality was top-notch. After 2 very positive experiences with them, I am very comfortable in HIGHLY recommending Gary and PerryHall Remodeling.

Originally, we had one piece of siding blow off of the house. I called Gary to see if he could come out and give me an estimate. He came out. During the initial review he told me that the siding was not put up correctly on the side where the piece blew off and then he told me that the caulking wasn't done. He came out and put the siding on and sent me the invoice. In the e-mail that contained the invoice, he gave me the estimate for the rest of the siding and the caulking. They did an outstanding job.

Gary and his crew arrived to the job site on time and completed the project in a few days. When Gary's crew was looking over the entire chimney for any additional repairs, one of the workers noticed the brick chimney on top of the roof which I didn't realize I had. (Being a female, I'm not climbing on the roof). The worker contacted Gary and asked about also repairing this chimney. Gary was not on the job site at this time so the worker sent him pictures of the decaying cement/mortar. Gary contacted me to advise of the additional work that needed to be done and Gary also suggested a chimney cap. Gary forwarded the pictures to me so I could see for myself what the chimney looked like and I agreed to the repairs. Gary also sent me pictures of what the chimney looked like after the work was completed. I fully trusted Gary and his company to perform all the work required and he told me if I had any problems with any of the repairs to contact him and they would take care of it. I am very pleased and satisfied with the work done and would definitely hire Perry Hall Remodeling again for any future work.

First, Gary Sr. and his brother Tim came for the walk through for the estimate. Both men are extremely professional, knowledgeable, honest and they are gentlemen. They were very prompt, walked through the house inside and out and listened to my many concerns. At no time did I feel they were misleading. I also showed them the damage that was recently left by another contactor. Gary Sr. took note of the poor and unimaginable work that was left and stated they would take care of the repairs at no charge. I thought after what I just went through with the previous contractor they were too good to be true. However, I went on the other comments of Angies' members. Gary Sr. and Tim were there when they stated the work would start. Gary Sr. kept me informed of any issues that came up during the job. Gary Jr. and team were very professional, thoughtful and are masters of their craft. They stopped and explained any problems they noticed and addressed even the smallest of issues. Every evening they cleaned the area before they left. They have transformed the outside of my old townhouse into a home I am happy to show everyone. And yes, the did an amazing job of repairing the work that was left by the other contractor...at no charge. Gary Sr. has also followed up to make sure everything is still okay and I haven't had any issues. I am so thrilled with the work they have done around the house, and most importantly their honesty and professionalism that I have Perry Hall Remodeling coming back in the spring to address other outside issues in the front of the house.

It didn't go well, because Gary must have decided that he didn't want the contract. The work was never done, despite the fact that I repeated told him I wanted to hire him, and would wait until he finished larger jobs that he took over mine.

Perryhall did a grat job at a reasonable price. I have 34 windows in my house and the covering of the lentils made such a finished look. in addition, we definitely needed our windows and doors caulked. Also the siding was replaced around our 2garage doors. I was very pleased with their work. I had called them for an estimate on Tuesday evening. Gary came over Wednesday morning to give me an on the spot estimate. He sent the contract by email on Wednesday evening and started on Thurday morning. They had 3 men on the job and then finished the job Friday.. The process moved very quickly.

Upon contacting PerryHall remodeling about the problem that I was having, with rain leaking in somewhere around my bay window into my living room. Gary Howard Sr called me back and was very responsive and immediately set up a date to come and look at the problem. Upon checking out the problem Gary immediately called me and advised me of what the problem was. The problem was that when it rained hard the rain was coming in through cracks in the mortar. I thought it had to do with the bay window. I also wanted an estimate on replacing the old wood around the bay window box. I asked Gary how much it would cost and he immediately gave me a verbal quote. At no time did Gary try to pressure me into getting the work done, A couple days later I called Gary and gave him the OK on the work. Gary gave me an estimated time frame on when the work would start. On the day of the scheduled work, Gary's workers arrived as I was leaving for work. They were polite and courteous and introduced themselves to me. Gary had already told me that this was all outside work, no one needed to be home. Upon completion of the job, Gary called and informed me that the job was complete and what had been done. Upon arriving home from work that evenning I was surprized at the excellent job Gary and his crew had done. It looked like no one was their. I was very impressed at the craftsmanship and attention to detail of their work. To include the added work, at no cost, of painting and caulking all doors and windows. Also, they noticed some minor things that my need our attention in the future. Both me and my wife are very pleased at the work completed. So pleased that, PerryHall Remodeling will be the first on our minds for any needed work in the future. By the way did I say that I never spoke to Gary in person. This was due to the hours I work. This further states the professionalism and customer relations Gary and his company has demonstrated throughout this process. Thank you Gary and Crew for an outstanding job.

After noticing a leak in the bathroom ceiling, called Perry Hall Remodeling because of their excellent rating. Mr. Howard came out and determined the leak was from one of the vent pipes. Because of the age of the house and exposure, decided to have all the vent pipe collars replaced. His son, Gary,Jr. came out with an assistant and did the job. A few days later after a hard rain, received a call from Mr. Howard to check the leak. All was dry. I appreciated the follow up. Intend to have Mr. Howard do roof checks in the future.

It was really a pleasure working with Gary and everyone at PerryHall Remodelers. They were great at communicating, worked with me and my budget to come up with a reasonable plan. Once they got started they worked straight through, a solid week, ato make sure everything was done before the hurricane, and the quality of the work was top notch. I hired them based on the reviews on Angies list and am very glad that I did. Look forward to working with them again soon.

We were extremely pleased with the work done by Perry Hall Remodeling. We had a very bad experience with the previous contractor (not listed on Angie?s List) who started the work in the prior year but Gary Howard and company came out on time, reviewed the situation, and gave us a reasonable estimate to redo some of the work that was previously done improperly and to complete the siding job. And they completed the job in less than two weeks even after being interrupted by Hurricane Sandy! Importantly, they made sure the house was weather tight (and put the gutters back up) before the Hurricane hit and came back to finish the job afterward. Gary and the workmen were all very courteous and professional. They tidied up at the end of each day and after they were done they cleaned the place up so it looked like they were never there. I wish we had used them from the beginning. Thank you Angie?s List for steering us in their direction.

Gary is very professional about his work and very easy to talk to. No tricks and no hidden fees and he stand behind his work. He actually called after the jobs is done to check if I am happy about his work! you don't see that much these days. If you just want a cheap fix and don't care about the quality, Gary is not your guy. I trust Gary. Will hire him for future jobs. One last comment on the price: I gave Gary a B, not because I don't like the price. As I said, it is very reasonable; and every workman needs to make a living. The "B" rating is just from a consumer point of view: we all want chepaer price, even we got the best service. Sorry, Gary, no hard feelings. :)

We were pleased with all of our interactions with Gary Howard of Perry Hall Remodeling and his brother Tim. They were prompt in returning my call for an appointment to get an estimate for replacing our roof. They arrived on time for the appointment and even questioned if we really needed a roof replacement or just repairs. Gary climbed up on the roof and did a visual inspection. I received a verbal estimate that day and a written one the next morning via email. The work began about a week after we signed the contract and paid our deposit ;which was about 3 weeks earlier than expected! It was a two day job and Mr. Howard was on sight to get the job started and checked on the progress both days. We were not charged extra for the plywood sheets needed to replace water damaged ones. The workmen were courteous and quiet and they did a great job cleaning up. The roof looks great! It weathered Superstorm Sandy with no problems! It was a pleasure doing business with Gary Howard of Perry Hall Remodeling! No high pressure sales tactics and the fact that he went up on the roof to check it and he pointed out some other small projects that we could do ourselves or that he could do for us. It just seems to me that he takes a lot of pride in his work. I will have no qualms about calling them for any future work that we may need done!

After having water leak into my addition during hurricane Sandy, I was frantic to get someone to find out what the problem was. I called Perry Hall remodeling because they had such an excellent reputation on Angie's List. Because the area was hard hit, Gary's schedule was full, but he managed to fit me in to inspect my roof. He noted that there was an actual hole around the conduit pipe for my electric and that there was no caulking along the siding where it met the roof. He went to his truck, got a caulk gun and a tube of caulk and filled in the areas where he was sure the leak was coming from. No Charge. It's wonderful to see that there are people who value their reputations and are genuinely good will ambassadors for their company. I will without a doubt have this company out to fix some other things around my house that need fixing and to probably make some improvements I have been wanting to make.
