I found Perry Hall Remodeling on Angie's List and called Gary after reading the great reviews. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and quality of Gary's company. From the first call to the end of the process, he was informative, responsive and made sure that the job was done to my satisfaction. I had been having problems with the water drainage in a courtyard area of my home. Whenever it rained hard, I would get water cascading down the side of the house and many times right into the kitchen door, causing damage to my hardwood floors and molding. For 20 years (literally) I had many different roofers, handymen, contractors evaluate my problem. But no one ever addressed it properly until Gary came to take a look. Before I could even get out of my kitchen door to greet him, he told me he knew what the problem was. He certainly inspired confidence and my confidence was well founded. He said that the original roofers had never installed flashing under the gutters. So he addressed that problem and also came up with a solution for an area of the roofline where ice dams formed every time it snowed. While he was there, he took care of some other issues with my siding as well. He also cleaned the gutters. I waited until we had several good rains and some considerable snow to write this review. And I am delighted to report that Gary's work solved the problems. I also must emphasize the pride that he has in his company and his work product. He is not happy until the customer is happy. Throughout the process, from the first call in to his company until the work was completed , he was easy to reach and responded quickly to phone calls or emails. He arrived on time (actually early!) and performed the work just as he outlined it. He did such a great job and inspired such confidence, that I hired him to do another job for me involving replacing wood trim all around my home with vinyl. This job also was completed in the same professional manner as the first job. I intend to hire him for another home improvement project in the spring.

I found Perry Hall Remodeling here and read so many glowing reviews that I didn't look further. I contacted Mr. Howard; he went to check out the scope of the job and called to tell me that the reason the siding had fallen was that it hadn't been caulked. He checked the siding around the whole bump-out room and found that the siding had not been caulked. He quoted me what I considered to be a very fair price; e-mailed me a contract which I signed and e-mailed back. d the rest of my house and let me know that it was sound. The work was completed the next afternoon -- LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER HE RECEIVED THE SIGNED CONTRACT!!! He had also checked the caulking on the siding around all of the rest of my house and let me know that it was in good condition. The siding looks wonderful. It was necessary for Mr. Howard (or his employees to enter my neighbor's back yard to get to the side of my house; they let me know that they would never have known that anyone had been in their yard. Mr. Howard and Perry Hall Remodeling get straight A's from me. I can't remember the last time I received such impeccable customer service.

We were thrilled with the final result! They were very professional and worked quickly to turn around the shingled roof. The metal roof was more labor intensive and took several weeks but it was well worth the wait! Everything was completely cleaned up when they left and looked as if they had never been there(except for the new roof, of course!)

PerryHall Remodeling was tasked with adding crown moulding to the ceilings in the living and dining rooms, in the foyer, and the second floor ceilings. Additionally, we wanted shadow boxing on the walls in those same areas and window frames added to two walls on the second floor. We asked the installers to also paint the moulding as it was too high for us to do. The crown moulding in the dining room was more ornate than the rest of the crown moulding and turned out beautiful. We receive compliments all the time from our friends. The installers were friendly, punctual, polite, and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and will certainly use them again for our next project!

The installer that put the backsplash on the wall did an excellent job, even made some minor changes with the initial installation after my husband and I decided we wanted a different look than what the installer had done. He was very patient and after understanding the changes we wanted to make, he did a beautiful job. Another installer added additional crown moulding to an entry way that we previously forgot to have completed during a job this company completed for us in September, 2013. During that time, we had crown moulding put in the living room, dining room, hallway, stairs and the second floor along with shadow boxing and window frames on the walls. They painted all of the crown moulding (not the shadow boxing or window frames because I could reach them) and the job was perfect! We receive compliments from everyone who comes into our home with regard to the backsplash and moulding and highly recommend this company to all. They are a great group of very knowledgeable individuals plus a family owned business.

This project started around April of this year. Upon coming home, we found water dripping from our drapes in our living room. Further examination and time led to the draining of a good amount (~20-30oz) of water from the ceiling. The drywall over the baywindow was destroyed, and some of the drywall on the floor by the area was also water soaked. As the rain had been minimal recently, we could not understand what caused this problem. Being new to the area we reviewed Angies List and came accross Perryhall Remodeling. I am somewhat fuzzy on the dates as this was earlier in the year, but it went something like this: I called Gary Sr. of Perryhall and he scheduled a day for him to come look at everything later that week. He and a collegue (Tim, I believe) came out one afternoon to check things out. They pointed out the flashing from the baywindow roof to the brick veneer was not installed properly and suspected that to be the problem. (Discussions with other homeowners in our area confirm they too have had roofing/leak issues) We received a quote for the work, and after working things out with our insurance company, scheduled a day for them to come. Both of us being full time workers, I scheduled a day off for the work. Gary's son, Gary Jr. came out with some other crewmembers and went right to work. They carefully moved any furniture in the way, laid down dropclothes and did a great job keeping the work area clean. They removed the watersoaked drywall and insulation, and reinstalled the metal flashing to the brickwork. They also recaulked our windows above the damaged area as well. Earlier that week, we had some metal trim fall from around our roof high up on our house due to high winds. Gary was kind enough to also fix that on the spot upon my request. We decided to leave the drywall removed and the rafters exposed to monitor for anymore leaks before putting it all back together. On the day before I had invited Perryhall back to finish the job, I noticed raindrops on the floor. I contacted Gary, and his team came back and did more waterproofing. I believe they applied a waterproofing liquid over the brick veneer and roof area and some other things. Again, they were very clean, professional, and on time throughout. Months went by with no rain until finally we had some good storms. Around October/November, we scheduled the final chapter of this project and the crew showed up on time. Gary Jr and his coworker were very clean and professional and worked most of the day (I believe 7-2) to get the drywall put up, mudded the joints, and applied a Kilz primer over the water stained drywall on the floor.. This was on a Friday. They were kind enough to come out on a Saturday morning to comply with my schedule to finish the job. Gary Jr. arrived early, set up drop clothes, and finished the sanding and painting that morning. They painted everything with fresh matched paint as I had none on hand that matched. He cleaned up the area very well and collected the final payment I owed them. They did a great job, communicated via email and phone as needed, arrived on time, were VERY clean and made sure to minimize the mess, explained the process, and fixed everything back to how it was. Given the finicky nature of roof leaks, I can only hope the problem is solved, but so far so good. This job took a long time, but that not because of them, but because of having to verify the leak was resolved. The pricing and payment process was pain-free. Gary Sr. and Gary Jr and the rest of their crew were all professional and good natured. I will keep them in find for future work.

They took down some siding which came loose from my home. They had to take a section down and reapply them with some new siding. Some handy men had tried to just glue the loose siding panel back without repairing the section but the repairs always came undone. So far, I am very happy with the repair. I won't know if it will hold until the spring when we get high winds, etc... They were very responsive and professional. I will definitely use them for future repairs if this siding repair remains intact.

Everything was great with Perryhall Remodeling. They removed and old satellite dish, replaced and repaired a few shingles, fixed sagging and detached gutters and cleaned out gutters while fixing. I will use Perryhall remodeling in the future for many of the jobs they perform

They were able to isolate the cause of the problem, correct the issue, and replace the portion of the window sill that was damaged. This involved removing some of the siding off my house. Work site (both outside and indoors) was kept clean. Work was completed in a timely manner.

Another great job! I had my main bathroom completely gutted and renovated. High quality workmanship from start to finish. The whole process went very smoothly. I highly recommend Bill, who is very detail oriented and a real craftsman. He was a pleasure to work with. Gary and his crew really care about their customers and they aren't finished until you are completely satisfied. This is my second time using Perry Hall Remodeling, and they will be my first call for my next project!

Gary E Howard Sr. was a pleasure to work with. Bud and his 2 sons tore the chimney down and rebuilt it. This job was extremely tough. They arrived early each morning and rarely took a break. They worked great together. Each evening Bud and his sons covered the chimney and cleaned the area and removed it. I really never seen people do this. The workmanship was unbelievable. Bud is a very, very good brick layer. Gary Sr.'s son spray painted the flashing, applied it and placed sealant. I cannot say enough good things about Gary Sr. and his men. Would I use them again? Gary was great to work with. Definitely knows his stuff and has great ideas. Very responsive and easy to get along with. Gary's son (whom I was very impressed with) and a crew came out and did all the work in one day, which was amazing. They did a great job and everything was cleaned up afterward. I plan on hiring them again.

The project was to build a 1/2 bath in the back part of my basement. Perry Hall Remodeling not only turned the unfinished space into a beautiful bathroom, they also built a lovely laundry area. Since this is a basement, there were a number of obstacles related to installing a drop ceiling. I honestly thought there was no way around the pipes other than leaving a portion of the ceiling exposed. Leave it to Gary Howard and his crew to come up with a way to work around the pipes so that I have a full drop ceiling and what pipes are exposed, actually look good and not intrusive at all. I could not be more thrilled with the quality of the work, the crew was always courteous on time and clean. I've worked with other contractors who thought they knew best and didn't always listen to what I wanted. Gary and his crew were always listening to what I wanted and were thoughtful in helping me make decisions on things I hadn't thought about.. I could not be more thrilled with the results and Perry Hall Remodeling is my contractor of choice now and going forward.

I needed a general contractor to do some major interior repairs to my house. I knew it was going to be an expensive, complex project. Past small, quick projects were highly satisfactory. For this project, contractor made two visits. On the second visit I was informed that their participation would be limited to things that required no permit. I was supposed to find my own electrician and plumber and get the permits myself. (Professionalism upgraded to B because they at least informed me about this up front). I received a cost estimate for this limited scope. It was one line item on a single sheet. For this kind of money there should be a detailed cost breakdown, the contractor should get the permits and subcontractor hiring and project management should be included.

County said that my deck had to be shortened by 4 feet. PerryHall Remodeling removed the footage, installed new railing, steps and lighting. They did an excellent job and I have been receiving rave reviews from everyone who sees the new deck and railing, etc.

I wish I could give a grade higher than an A! Gary and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They were punctual, reliable, easy to work with and provided a superior, quality remodel of my powder room. I especially want to thank Bill for his attention to detail and the quality of his work. I am super picky, and he exceeded all my expectations. For anyone who is looking for a general contractor who is honest and provides a quality job, look no further than Perryhall Remodeling. I can't wait for them to return to do my main bathroom as well! Thank you Gary and your outstanding team for a job well done.

I HAD ESTIMATES OF MORE THAN DOUBLE OF WHAT MY ESTIMATE WAS FOR. THE FINAL BILL WAS $ 500.00 LESS ! AFTER I HAD RECEIVED MY ESTIMATE THEY WERE HONEST ABOUT WHEN THEY COULD START THE PROJECT. IT WAS A 3 MONTH WAIT. ALL ALONG GARY REMAINED IN TOUCH JUST TO LET ME KNOW HE HAD NOT FORGOTTEN ME. THE JOB CAME OUT GREAT. THEY WERE VERY NEAT, LEFT ME EXTRA SUPPLIES THAT HAD BEEN PAID FOR , AND THAT I COULD USE LATER FOR REPAIRS OR MAINT. I FOUND GARY, AND HIS BROTHER TO BE PROFESSIONAL, VERY HONEST, HARD WORKING PEOPLE. YOU REALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR WITH PERRYHALL REMODELERS. LOOKING FORWARD TO WORK WITH THEM AGAIN TO REMODEL MY MASTER BATHROOM.

Initially, we contacted Perry Hall Remodeling for a leaky side porch roof. However, after their inspection, it was determined that the entire roof would need to be replaced. Perry Hall's price was fair and still below other estimates we had received. We were really impressed with their 3 year warranty on their work in addition the warranty on the roofing material. The Perry Hall team were professional, worked quickly, and did a good job cleaning the job site up afterwards. There was a minor issue with some water coming thru our chimney during heavy rains. They came out and readjusted our chimney cap for free even though it had nothing to do with their roofing work. Gary (the owner) even offered to come by if we had problems with it again. We would definitely use them for other work around the house and have already recommended them to our friends. The lateness of this review is not a reflection on the quality of work by Perry Hall Remodeling but rather a personal matter that caused a delay. This is a very professional company to deal with and they care about their customers.

They showed up on time for the appointment. They installed everything as they said they would. The pull chains on the ceiling fans were too short so they came back the following day to put on longer pull chains. They also cleaned up after their work was completed. I was very pleased with their service and would definitely use them again.

Great company, great owners and workers. Responsive, honest and good to their word.Researched numerous companies before requesting and obtaining six estimates for the work desired. Perry Hall Remodeling had the best known track record according to available reviews here and on other sites andtheir estimate was one of the two lowest.. Selected Perry Hall Remodeling based on their references and I felt most comfortable with Gary Howard after meeting and going over the proposed work and his explanation of the processes and procedures he expected to use. The roof involved tear off of two layers of shingles and partial replacement of sheathing. Mr. Howard offered to paint the vent pipes to blend with the roof for a better overall appearance and and it looks great. This potion of the work was completed first and,Mr. Howard made sure he put a sufficient experienced crew on the job to insure one day completion. It's a beautiful job and after at least three rains, I've noticed no problems. The sising work included removal of the original aluminum siding to the home buiilt in 1978 and replacement with vinyl siding as well as the removal and replacement of all the gutters and downspouts. The vinyl siding that we ordered came in about 2 weeks after the roof was completed and Gary Howard called to let me know that he and his crew would be able to install it ahead of the original time frame. It was completed this week (5/16/2013) and the work is beautiful. The crews were very courteous and hard working and seemed to be very experienced. Gray Howard and his brother visited the job site frequently and were avialble by cell when not present at my home. The crew supervisor, Roland, was great to work with as well . Not only did this company do the work for which they were contracted, Gary Howard and Roland took care of other small items in order to make the overall completed project perfect. Roland personally painted rear roof vents to mach those at the front and the crew wrapped my wooden garage door frame and trim to make it maintenance free for me. Gary Howard and his son personally installed two new exterior light fixtures I had purchased so that I didn't have to hire and pay someone else to do it. They volunteered for and completed these tasks just to help me out and make my overall satisfaction with the completed project even greater. I've already recommended this company to others and would definitely hire them again for future projects.

I was very pleased with their workmanship, manners and professionalism. They took care of the little things I added which meant a lot to me. I have asked Mr. Howard for an estimate for inside work. It took me a long time to pick a company and I'm glad I choose Perryhall Remodeling. Also I just remembered I had a window air conditioner put in last summer and Gary suggested covering the wood used to anchor it and looks so much better. I was glad that he offered suggestions and also listened to what I wanted.

It was fine. It was quick. It was done well. The price was reasonable. There were no issues.

Gary & his partner gave me a price that was within $10.00 of my home insurance quote so I felt that I could trust him. From the start, he offered to do some other things for "FREE" ......such as , replace door bell, install molding over my door & windows. ALL FOR FREE!! I needed to buy the doorbell & molding and he was going to install them for free . We agreed on a price and I signed a contract for him to repair my wooden fence and secure some existing vinyle & replace new vinyle siding on front of house ( one strip) that had blown off fom the latest storm. He started on 7/7/12 and finished 7/8/12. He asked for his check as his men were still working on the job because he needed to be somwhere & I could call him if anything was wrong & he would fix it to my liking. I was supposed to buy the doorbell & molding for the door & windows & call him when it came in. When the men were finished and leaving , I walked around to check their work. YES, I WAS STUPID !!! YES, HE NEVER CAME BACK TO DO THE FREE THINGS !!! AND........his men did such a terrible job,( they hammered the nails in too much and all their work was DIMPLED ........AND, it did not even match my existing color siding !! Too make a long story short, I told him I was going to cancell the check , which I did, and he promised to do the work over,which he didn't because he later called & said that I was "too particular " and I should fnd someone else to do the work. BEWARE LADIES...........HE IS A WHEELER DEALER !!!!

Perrryhall Remodeling did a great job converting an area of our home, which was used as an office when our home served as a model for the developer, to a garage. Their prices were very affordable. The quality of their work was excellent. And they finished their work in the amount of time estimated. Their work involved eliminating interior walls, performing dry wall patch work, framing the openings for the garage doors, performing, via a contractor, electrical services such as lighting modifications. When an issue arose with the company that installed the garage doors about which company was responsible for finishing the outside of the door frames, Perryhall stepped up and cut the price estimated by the garage door company in half and completed the work in a very timely manner. The end product of their work looks great! I would highly recommend them to others interested in remodeling their home.
