Description of Work: They did a heavy-up to accommodate a new a/c system, and did a good job. There was an inspection problem related to a new regulation about space clearance around the circuit box, but Wilcox is resolving it. (My house is almost 90 years old.)

Description of Work: Called them one Thanksgiving when power failed in middle of turkey-baking. Manager diagnosed a blown pole transformer over the phone and did not charge us for his time. Impressed we asked Wilcox to come do repair work and organize our electric main box the following spring . They did a fine job, were reasonably priced and easy to work with. We would use them again confidently for any electrical service.

He suggested that we move lights from the bathroom upstairs to the powder room downstairs and that was a time and money saver. All of the installation of new lights was done carefully and professionally. The result was a house with significantly improved and updated lighting. We had pre-ordered the lights and Wilcox came to install them. Fine job!

Description of Work: I recently replaced a single-unit washer/dryer with a separate compact washing machine and dryer. However, it wasn't until the installers pulled out the old unit that I realized there was only a single 240v socket for the dryer. Therefore, I needed to add a 120v socket. | |Of the three companies in the area I contacted, Wilcox was the only one that got back to me in a timely manner and that was interested in doing what amounted to a relatively small job. | |The technician who did the work, Caesar, was fantastic. He needed to add an extra slot in the circuit breaker, which meant cutting two holes on the ceiling. He made sure they were small, clean cuts that I was able to easily to patch when the work was complete. His care was greatly appreciated. | |Overall, Wilcox's price was reasonable, scheduling was easy, the work was completed quickly and was good quality, and Caesar was friendly and professional.

Description of Work: remove old light fixture, replace new light fixture - higher than old one. |He was one time, we talked about what he was expected to do and then he quickly removed old light fixture and added new one. Then he showed me how to replace the lightbulbs.

Description of Work: The engineer's name was Dale. He was a really nice guy. He did a quick and professional job. He understood the problem and got the work done quickly. Also, his quote came in significantly lower than another company that looked at the work.
