I found the team, Nick and Gerald, extremely professional and efficient. Wilcox responded immediately to my call for troubleshooting a light fixture and they took care of the problem in under 20 minutes. Fast and easy.

It went fine. One of the fans controller went out with-in a week and they came out and made the light work and will be coming back out to install the new controller soon.

The electricians were responsive, efficient, and were able to identify the issue and fix it the electrical problem as well as several outlets within and hr.

They showed up at 9 a.m. and informed me that they were told they were there for just an hour of service. I called the company and they apologized and told them to stay as long as they could but they rushed it and didn't completely do what I asked for and so I rated them as average for service delivery.

Very polite and informative but over priced for what was performed.

They were very responsive, courteous, punctual and professional. Highly recommend them.

Everything went very well. I will definitely continue to use them for electrical projects.

On Feb. 13, 2014, kitchen appliances suddenly powered off. I contacted Wilcox Electric. Due to very inclement weather (snow/ice), Wilcox Electric was closed but I was given the owner's cell to contact as I had an emergency situation. I contacted owner, Mr. Steve Wilcox, explained that my refrigerator was powered off, as well as other kitchen appliances and he told me he would come to my home. Even though Maryland schools and businesses were closed due to weather, Mr. Wilcox drove to my home where he had to park a block away from my house due to snow/ice build up. After a thorough check of my electrical system, power was successfully restored to my kitchen. I was very relieved, grateful, and impressed with Mr. Wilcox's kindness and professionalism in handling my problem.

Steve Wilcox showed up fast and tracked down the problem with the tenacity of a bloodhound. It wasn't easy, he ended up having to crawl up into our tiny filthy attic where he found the source of the problem. He was incredibly polite and charming throughout. When he left our puppy was sad for hours.

It is working, that is all I can say.

I've worked with Wilcox electricians for a number of years and will continue to do so. The closet light had to be completed in two trips. We were hoping that the wiring outside the light was a problem, but the ballast was bad. It took us a few days to find a new light, then Wilcox took another 3 weeks to come out to put it in, due to our schedule and their having lost 2 of their electricians.

I was very happy with Wilcox Electric and was actually referred to them by a contractor I have used in the past. After using electricans that were "two guys and a truck", it was nice to have a professional team, that were capapable, professional, and cleaned up as they went. When they left, the work was completed, and it all looked wonderful. Wilcox Electric is a truly professional outfit, and I would and will call them again.

We were very pleased with the professionalism and service we recieved from Wilcox. I will certainly call them with my next electrical service needs.

Tom Wilcox has done a lot of electrical work in the past..like installing a whole new board and rewiring house, a few years ago. AND several other smaller jobs. Called Tom in the a.m. and he was here within an hour or so. VERY reliable, professional, personable. Will NEVER use any other electrician.

Wilcox staff were very professional and accommodating. They scheduled the appointment right away, arrived when expected, and did the work in a timely and efficient manner. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall value for money was good. They had to come twice bcz did not have all needed parts in the truck, but stuck to the initial estimate. Good and pleasant experience. I will use them again.

Wilcox came out and fixed the problem within minutes. This is the second time I have used them and they are awesome. Professional, friendly, fast, smart. Just love them.

They were prompt arriving to do the estimate, then faxed it to me and explained in their written estimate exactly what would be needed. Coordinated the work schedule with my vacation schedule. Pulled the permits (The flippers I bought the house from apparently never did pull permits and added lighting and outlets by illegally splicing old wire to new rather than run new circuits. Flippers couldn't have run new circuits without increasing the service to the house and they didn't bother. This resulted in many dangerously-overloaded circuits that we learned about as they kept tripping the panel.) Arrived on time with a crew of 3, owner Wilcox did most of the work: new service wire through the foundation, new service panel and meter, HUGE iron ground post pounded into the ground, isolated a couple of dangerously overloaded circuits (but they weren't the ones I thought would be needed and they didn't do work I didn't need to have done.) Put in redundant grounds, new outlet. The electricity was off for about 4 hours = no heat, no light, (mid December) and with a newborn in the house I was glad they worked as fast as they did. The work cost about $100 more than the estimate (if I recall properly) but IMHO they (a) were very nicely priced to begin with, and (b) did more than $100 additional work. Inspector came a week later and gave the work his blessing. I MOST DEF will use WILCOX Electric later this year when I begin some major remodelling. They're competent, careful, clean up after themselves, polite, on time and totally professional.

I have been using Wilcox for over 3 years, service has been8 amazing, prompt, courteous, and professional and cost is always competitive to other electrical companies.

Yesterday evening I had one bedroom with no power, another bedroom with a single outlet out, a hallway overhead light and outlet out, and master bathroom outlet and light out...I checked the breakers and none of them had been tripped, even more confusing was the fact that some lights and outlets on the same breaker were powered while others were out (i.e. "Hallway Lights" breaker had one light working and another out). I called Wilcox Electric, spoke with Tracy and explained my problem; Tracy said that they were very busy due to the cold weather etc and asked if it was an emergency or could wait a day or two. I explained that we're sleep training our 6mo twin girls in the two bedrooms that are out and I am concerned about a fire hazard...Tracy was extremely helpful and asked if she could check with her crews and call me back. She called back a minute or two later and said that the owner of the company (Steve Wilcox) could be at my house between 9-10 the following morning! Steve arrived and I explained the problem as best I could and he went to work: The previous owner of my 1880 townhouse apparently used a bunch of trained monkeys to put in the electrical. After several hours going room to room pulling outlets and recepticles in an effort to figure out just how badly the wiring was messed up and what went wrong...Steve figured it out, fixed the problems and we are now powered and good to go. MOST importantly Steve found an outlet that had completely burned through and the only thing keeping it from shorting out and possibly starting a fire was a lucky break in how the plastic had melted...to make matters worse it was the outlet directly behind my daughter's crib. THANK YOU Steve and Tracy for fitting us into your busy schedule last minute and preventing what could have been every parents nightmare. I will HAPPILY refer Wilcox Electric to friends and family and they will definitely be my first call when it comes to anything electrical. I plan to have Steve and Wilcox Electric come back to safety-check the entire rest of the house as soon as they can possibly fit it into their schedule.
