The electrician showed up ahead of time (he called first) and showed me what the problem was and fixed it for a more than fair price. I was extremely pleased and will use Wilcox again.

I plugged in a space heater, which overloaded the circuit. This caused a power outage on one side of my apartment and subsequently, loss of heat in every room. I called several electricians, and finally found Wilcox Electric on Angie's List. The owner, Steve Wilcox, answered the call and came out in the snow. He arrived within an hour. Once here, he identified the problem and fixed it. He was courteous, professional, friendly and he clearly knew what he was doing. He was here less than an hour. I would recommend him to anyone needing electrical services.

I had some unfinished electric work from years ago that I finally decided to have completed. I expected it to cost me quite a bit of money because of the passage of time. So I was exceptionally pleased when Mr. Wilcox came over to have a look at everything I needed and wanted done, explained clearly what he thought should be done, and what he thought was unnecessary, which saved me a lot of money. The unfinished work is now finished, and I'll certainly be calling him again when I begin the next phase of my house project. He was prompt, professional, and in my opinion, has a lot of integrity.

Steve Wilcox inspected my circuit breaker panel, identified two significant deficiencies, fixed one immediately and at no additional cost, and will be fixing the other on a future visit. At my request, he also went up to the attic to inspect some work that I had done by another electrician, found a couple of egregious errors (in my opinion likely deliberate shortcuts) in that work, and told me what I needed to do to fix them. I appreciated that in cases in which I could safely do things and was willing to do them, he told me how I could fix stuff rather than charging me for him to fix it.

They were very friendly, very prompt, they got started right away (it was an emergency situation) and they stayed on site the whole time. They were also very professional.

The service went great. The owner came out to do the estimate and I am so glad he did. He was polite, friendly and gave great advice an options on the recess lighting. We had to buy the lights in advance and they made it so easy by ordering the parts and having it shipped to their office once I paid over the phone. When Dale and Rich came to do the work, they were on time and polite. Dale made the time enjoyable by talking with us on different general topics (I.e kids, boxing, etc). They worked so fast and good that they finished the job all in the same day. Originally., it was estimated to be 1.5 days. I was so pleased that I called them for the 2nd time for a light switch issue. I requested Dale because of his excellent service and friendly demeanor. He came and fixed our light do fast. We will be calling Wilcox for all our electrical needs.

The work was performed in a timely and highly professional manner. David and Nelson were excellent. They were efficient, courteous, and minimized the time we were without electricity, as we were home during the work. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

It went very well. I was particularly grateful that they responded so quickly -Dale came out within a couple of hours of my initial call. (Also, the office had walked me through preliminary steps that I could take earlier in the day. When that didn't work, I requested that someone come to the house. Very professional, helpful and courteous. My tenants now have a dry, well-lit abode.

We were very pleased with Wilcox. The office staff was friendly and helpful, the technician was careful and considerate. When he wasn't able to complete all the work in the time initially alotted, he arranged to return quickly and without charging an additional fee for return service. Overall, very good experience.

The service technician, Dale, asked the right questions and answer all my questions. After an examination, he determined promptly the problem and gave me an overview, a price and what needed to be done. He showed me the issue with breaker and the related issue in the bathroom in our rental property. Professional in all respects and exceptional with his work.

The provider was great, but they just were not able to come out and do the work when I need them to. Please refund the $240 to me.

Everything went really well. This was my 3rd time using Wilcox; and I was really impressed by the courteousness and professionalism of the two guys that came over. The billable rates were $169/hr for one of the guys and $46/hr for the the other. The price seemed a little high for 1 hour of work, but the quality of the work makes the cost acceptable.

Separating the switch: quick, easy, no problems. Good job here. Installing an outlet: he had some difficulty finding a place to put the outlet because there were so many studs in the wall. So, he had to cut into the plaster several places. He did tell me in advance what he was going to have to do, and in the end, I did have a functioning outlet, but I have more repair to do than expected. Checking the motion sensor lights: he flipped a switch on the light fixture, saying that's all it would take. However, the lights didn't work at all that night. I had already played around with the switches before he looked at the lights and suspected there was a problem. He assured me that the lights would work after he flipped the switch; we just couldn't tell during the day because of the photo cells. The light did not work that night. He did not look very carefully at it or find a way to test it. Consequently, I'm left with the same problem. The electrician was friendly and explained things well, but I'm not sure I would ask this company back because of the cost and the issue with the motion sensor lights. UPDATE: The provider, upon hearing that I was dissatisfied with the motion lights, sent someone back out to fix the problem at no additional cost. They insisted I could call back if the issue continued, and they would send someone again. Their effort to satisfy shifted my opinion about them from adequate to satisfied.

The dispatcher was very polite and easy to work with. The electrician came on time, was very friendly and professional and got the job done quickly and without any issues.

The gentleman asked me if my outlet had a special button on it that pops out, since it was in the kitchen and most plugs of this nature have that button. As I said, I talked to two other providers and NO ONE mentioned it! This was the first person to ask and sure enough, when I pushed the button in, the outlet started working again. Thumbs up for expertise, honesty and desire to help the customer, at no benefit to them (except a good review on Angie's List). Will definitely call again next time I have an issue!

Everything was great, from quote visit, to quote itself, to the crew of two. Crew arrived promptly and did the specified work with care and ingenuity.

They were technically very good and they were willing to come on a holiday. They did a great job. Their staff was kind of short and rude. I didn't like dealing with their customer service people. I had to wait a long time for them to come. Their technicians were very good and their owner was very personable but their staff had a snotty attitude and they sucked.

Erik and Nelson were great to work with. They worked to find a breaker that had begun to make a hissing noise and replaced it with a new one. They indicated that this would be sound as a temporary fix but recommended a heavy-up/panel box replacement due to age. Erik offered an estimate regarding what this would cost and consulted about other adding outlets to a wall where electricity is not currently run. They were very nice and did good work.

Dale was outstanding! A true professional yet friendly and personable. He answered all of my questions (and I had really stupid ones), as well as gave me some important tips that all homeowners should know when it comes to electrical work/knowledge. I am in the process of renovating my home and I look forward to working with Dale at Wilcox, over the course of my renovations. They are professional, honest and respectful. Even my dog (Carter) loved Dale (and Carter is a tough nut to crack.) They are the best! I have already recommended them to my neighbors (who are getting their electrical " to do" list together) and plan to post about them on my Facebook page. If you need any type of electrical work, please use them!

The mechanic, Dale, called me and said he was on his way. He found burned up receptacles and and fixed them. Was unable to trace 3-way switch because of built in wall units. Dale was most professional, pleasant and neat. I would certainly use Wilcox Electric again.

Erik Schmidt and Nelson showed up early and since I was not home yet they had no problem waiting. I had them hang a crystal chandelier and they did a great job. In storage some of the crystals had unhooked from the fixture and Erik and Nelson offered to hang them, which was a big help and went above and beyond. After that Erik asked if I needed anything else looked at and fixed a minor issue I had with a bathroom light. Erik and Nelson were friendly and cleaned up the work. Overall I had a great experience and would certainly recommend them and Wilcox again.
