Wilcox Electric LLC

Great. I had two problem light fixtures one of which presented a safety and fire hazard. I called Wilcox and set up an appointment. Steve Smith one of Wilcox's electricians came exactly on schedule and confirmed the problem. He replaced the one light fixture with a new one I had bought and fixed the other one. He did all within one hour. I was very happy with the experience and would not hesitate to recommend Wilcox and Steve Smith to anybody.

The service was excellent. Nelson was the electrician that performed the service and did a great job. he found a mis-wired outlet and fixed it. He did a close exam of the electrical panel checking to see that wiring was tight and properly connected. He was on time finished within and hour, cleaned up after himself, fixed the broken outlet, provided a breakdown of what he did and recommended a whole house surge suppressor, which I will get in the near future. It was a great experience. I will certainly be calling Wilcox and Nelson for future work.

Steve Smith came on time, performed the work, cleaned up after himself and was even friendly with my 3 yr old :) Couldn't have gone better.

Excellent -- dispatcher was extremely friendly and responsive. Electrician -- Steve -- was very friendly, professional, and explained the issues in laymens' terms. He provided a solid estimate of what needed to be done, and the work ended up taking less time than estimated, so even better. All in all, a pretty seamless experience and very positive. My only downside was they only work during business hours -- i.e., no early morning or evening calls. This meant I had to take time out of work to come home let them in, etc. Most places are like that, so it's not an issue specific to Wilcox, but it was inconvenient, and I'd encourage providers to consider offering after- hours service -- I'd pay a bit more for it, if it was an option.

The service was excellent. It was a difficult job hanging a very modern multi-adjustable chandelier. He made sure it was exactly as I wanted it. He even called to see if he could come early and did come early -- when does that happen? Definitely my go-to for all electrical matters.

The technician did not show up at the correct service address although they were provided the correct address in writing by Angie's List (purchased coupon) and myself by phone when scheduling. As a result, the appointment was canceled. The technician was rude and unprofessional when the problem was identified.

Steve was great! Timely and knew his stuff. Was incredibly thorough and explained everything. Also he was the utmost professional and cleaned up as he went. Would highly recommend Steve at Wilcox.

Had to reschedule a few times. When estimator came out he walked the property to see where and how I wanted light put up. He was to send me a written estimate via email. That was over two weeks ago. Never received follow-up.

I used Angie's list to find a reliable and highly rated electric company - Wilcox. They sent Dale to do the work. He was punctual, professional, super friendly, and very knowledgeable. I told him what the issue was (because of course it wouldn't replicate the issue when he was there) and he got to work. He found the issue almost right away, explained and showed me what the problem was. Ended up that the original electrical work was sloppy and some of the wires were arching (like the metro). He pointed out that some of the wires were loose and/or not stripped properly. I tried to upload 2 photos of the discolored wires, but not sure if they uploaded. In the photos you can see the discolored wires. Dale also fixed a single inset flood light that kept randomly turning on and off. He then installed a temporary doorbell (until I had a chance to order a new one) for me because mine was broken, and replaced my intercom system. All-in-all - Dale did great work! Highly recommended!

Steve Smith was prompt and pleasant. He found an easy fix for a ceiling light that hadn't worked in years, talked us out of an expensive repair on another fixture. Very honest guy.

Great. The Wilcox Electric electrician who came to our home arrived on schedule, rapidly diagnosed the problem, and made the necessary repairs quickly and expertly. We have been using Wilcox Electric exclusively for for all of our electrical needs for the past 20 years and will continue to do so because of their reliability, professionalism and reasonable pricing.S

Before the appointment, representatives from Wilcox called for more details about the service requested, which made for a more efficient service call. The electrician who provided the service, Steve, was very personable, professional and efficient. He quickly sized up the problem, explained the service required, and proceeded to make the necessary repairs. He then gave me tips on replacing the bulbs and the cover for the fixture. He left the area very tidy. The whole process took just over one hour.

During the heat of summer, we lost power to our HVAC unit after Wilcox Electric had closed for the business day. Fortunately, Wilcox provides the phone number of the company owner for emergencies. I called and left a voicemail. Steve Wilcox called me back promptly, talked me through the problem, and asked me to send him pictures of certain equipment so he could come to the house the next day and fix the problem. He came to our home as planned despite it being an unscheduled visit during a busy workday and addressed all of the previously identified issues, as well as additional ones that he discovered. He also took the time to educate me on the issues, which will be very helpful when troubleshooting in the future. Steve's professionalism, expertise, honesty, and willingness to go the extra mile for a new customer were much appreciated. I highly recommend Wilcox Electric.

These guys where awesome. I phoned Wilcox on a Wednesday afternoon,and was given a 8.30 slot on the Thursday morning. Steve and Josh where ringing my doorbell at exactly 8-30,right on time. Both Steve and Josh quickly identified the problem,and quickly went to work to fix it. I found them both very professional in their work. I loved that they both worked on separate issues,Steve working on my fuse box,Josh working on my outside light. When the work was complete Steve walked through the whole house checking every single wall socket and light switch to make sure they where working properly. Steve and Josh had the worked completed in around an hour,was great value for money.Overall we had a fantastic experience working with Wilcox and we will definitely be using them again. Ray and Jason were great - they worked for hours on a VERY hot day and successfully and cleanly installed an outdoor electrical line for a garage door. They also fixed some flickering lights that we had on one floor of our house and, at their recommendation, installed a surge protector for us. We are very happy with their work!

Wilcox was great. I called and got an electrician (Eddie Davis) to come out to me the same day. Eddie was very efficient at running tests to provide a differential diagnosis to pinpoint the issue. Eddie identified a burned out circuit providing power to both bedrooms and the microwave as the culprit. Eddie repaired the circuit effectively. Everything is working well now. Eddie did all of this in just one hour. I WILL Definitely use Wilcox again, as I just purchased a townhouse and have some remodeling projects that will require their services for non-emergency issues like: recess lighting and a kitchen/bathroom remodel. Wilcox was extremely responsive to my emergency needs and highly recommend them.

Wilcox Electric did a great job and the customer service was exemplary. The electricians who did the work were friendly, courteous and professional. Really appreciated that they took the time to explain things and answer all of our questions. Highly recommend Wilcox Electric.

Great! Wilcox has very efficient scheduling, and their team showed up early (which worked for me!). The job came in under estimate. Eddie and Joseph were super helpful and thorough.

Wilcox did some electrical at my house in Chevy Chase. From the quoting process to electricians did a great job. I am going hire them again for other electrical projects. I think the pricing was fair. You will be pleased with there work.

They quoted a reasonable price and, upon performing the work, came in under quote. Steve and Jason were timely, courteous, and professional. They came prepared and cleaned up after they were finished. The workmanship is of high quality and we are very satisfied with the results. Wilcox will be on the top of our list for any future electrical projects we have

He removed what was inside the sockets. He tightened up the chandelier and put the metal plate over it. He was a really nice guy. He was very professional. He gave me the information that I needed to know. I would use them again.
