Handled efficiently, and professionally. Technician went above and beyond regular duties by getting equipment and batteries for us to use in the repairs and updates. He was patient polite and pleasant. Couldn't have been a better outcome all around, since this visit eliminated all electrical problems in the residence.

Dale was punctual, friendly, and performed the work well while training an apprentice. He offered advice regarding how to do the work and options if there was more than one way to do it. Would call Wilcox again. I only gave the price a B because such work is not cheap. That having been said, the work was well done and well worth the price.

At first it seemed fine, they showed up on time and did the work at a reasonable rate. Months later, I had cause to have another electrician in my home to do unrelated work. After completing that work, he told me that the Chargepoint was connected using the wrong gauge of wire. He suggested I call the people who installed it and ask them to fix it. So, I called Wilcox. Wilcox sent an electrician the same day to assess the situation. He affirmed that Wilcox had used the wrong gauge wire and additionally suggested that it should have been run through our wall differently. He told me to call the office and set up an appointment, and ask for him, personally, to come back to fix the error at their cost. Thus began an email saga. First, the Wilcox representative denied it was their error and said it would cost me too much to have the electrician I requested fix it. They offered to send someone else - in fact the person who had installed it incorrectly in the first place - as he was faster, hence cheaper, than the Wilcox electrician I requested. They would bill me for his work. After several more emails, Wilcox did admit it was their error and said they would send the original, error-making, electrician to fix it - not the one I requested. I refused to have the electrician who had installed my charger incorrectly in the first place come back to fix it. I again asked for the electrician they had sent to assess the situation and who told me to ask for him. Finally, they said it was their error but they would not send the electrician I requested and, instead, refunded me some money. Apparently, Wilcox would rather refund money than send a competent, and apparently costly, electrician to fix the problem they created. So, Wilcox sends electricians who are fast and pleasant and incompetent.

Great! David, the electrician, was prompt and friendly. He explained clearly why I didn't need the (more expensive) outlet option I originally asked for. He also helped me get the old disposal off it's supposedly easy-mount attachment to the drain pipe - which was clearly outside his scope of work. The outlet is well-placed, neat, and functional.

Great! Abdel, the electrician, was able to fix the frayed wires and explain clearly why they were safe to repair instead of replace. All three tasks were completed in a competent, prompt fashion, and both men (electrician and assistant) were polite, knowledgeable, and professional. Also, the assistant told me he had graduated from the local high school. A company that hires and trains local in DC gets my business for life!

Communication and services provided by the Wilcox team was fantastic. Everyone from scheduling staff to the electricians performing the service was very responsive, prompt (sometimes even early!), and polite. Process was fully explained and all expectations were covered.

It went very well. Dale came, evaluated the situation, determined whether repairing or replacing the fan was required (and possible, given the age of the parts) and helped me identify a replacement of high quality and really quiet. Dale was professional, competent, and a pleasure to work with

Excellent. I was very impressed with Wilcox from the beginning to the end and would hire them again. David, the estimator called ahead with estimated arrival time, arrived on time, and gave a very reasonable estimate. Additionally, he was very knowledgeable and made a couple of very good recommendations regarding the work. At my request, David performed the work. He arrived on time and performed the work within three-quarters of the original estimated time and cost. He was very professional, did an excellent job, and cleaned up afterwards. The company followed-up via telephone. I would use them again.

Excellent. It was to support a partly DIY project and they were really helpful. Price was right and they were in and out quick and left me with the info I needed and set things up for me to finish the job with other sources. Only thing they didn't do, which was kind of an add on as I recall, and I didn't realize it/remember until much later was to put in a grounding bar. Ground was and is to the water line, but they said that's not best practice and would put in a rod and ground to that. It was a long time after they finished when I recalled it, and I got what I needed at a good price so I never went back to them.

Initial estimate was detailed and thorough and helped explain some of the challenges to doing a good job. Later, as I was warned, there was a hickup from the utility company midway through. Wilcox handled it with an alternate approach that had been outlined in the initial estimate. The work itself was thoughtfully performed. Eddy, the lead electrician, was on-time, knew the job well, dealt with the unconventional job, and called me when necessary. Once, to make sure he wouldn't be bothering my neighbor with some of his work, which I really appreciated. The installation is rock solid and even looks good, which I wasn't expecting for a utility job. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Wilcox and particularly Eddy, for any future work.

Everything has gone incredibly well. Absolutely professional, friendly electricians. All the right questions were asked of me, they kept things neat, cleaned up dust and debris immediately, and moved furniture where needed. I would absolutely call upon Wilcox again.

Crystal at Wilcox very graciously and generously stayed on the phone with me as I went through them all again, talking me through what I needed to do with great patience. In the end, all was well -- she made my day! When I thanked her, she said her boss always made clear that they were to help people as much as possible.

The workers were professional, acted quickly, and extremely easy to deal with. It was an excellent experience. The initial service was prompt, office staff was always pleasant and willing to help or explain inquiries.

It went great, Abdel, the electrician was friendly, honest, and quick. He was able to point out issues to what the source of the problem was and fix things without unnecessary repair/replacement. I would highly recommend Wilcox, their electricians are definitely worth while. We will be coming back to them for all of our electrical work. Could not be happier.

They found it right away. It was loose so it would not reset. They tightened it and tested all of the GFI outlets and everything was fine.

The guys were fabulous - I would use them again in a heartbeat

UPDATE: This is an update to an earlier review. One of the bedroom electrical outlets would short the power when the portable heater/fan was plugged in. The technician arrived on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem as burned wires behind the plate. He replaced the outlet and was done. The deal was $285 for two hours of labor. The tech was finished in 45 minutes. My initial review was based on the fact that I was unhappy in paying $285 for 45 minutes worth of work. Initial inquires on options in resolving my dissatisfaction was a bit rocky. However, with the help of Angie's List customer service and speaking to Crystal at Wilcox Electric, a mutual resolution was obtained. It is because of Wilcox's willingness to rectify a potential negative that their overall rating is changed to an "A". They will be my go to provider for future electrical repair needs.

It's a great local, small provided. The workers are very professional and knowledgeable.

Electrician (Jason) was prompt, knowledgeable, helpful, explained his work. He was extremely professional and effective. I have now used Wilcox three times and plan to use them for future electrical needs.

I had a terrific experience. The office was very friendly and responsive. The electrician who came out was professional and curteous, and he did a good job. After completing the work, the electrician suggested a few things he could do for us in the last few minutes that we were already paying for (they have a one hour minimum for billing, and the work took appx 40 min). That is really terrific customer service. He could have just left, but he gave us all the value he could for our money. That sealed the deal for us.
