Dale and his helper arrived ahead of schedule and knocked the repairs out fairly quickly. As usual Dale and helper were efficient, polite and thorough. I've been calling Wilcox for several years now and always get the best of service. I highly recommend Wilcox Electric.

Steve Smith was wonderful. Called ahead and even came early (not an issue - still appreciated). He determined the GFI issue quickly and resolved it. He was also able to relocate the junction box and correct some errors made by previous contractors with the wiring and installation of the light fixture in the bathroom. He was polite and showed us everything that needed to be done and why. This was a great experience and I’m sure I’ll be using them again.

Steve Smith was knowledgeable, honest and professional. Overcame old wiring that was poorly installed and put in a new fan. Have not used another electrician in DC so I can't comment on the pricing compared to others, but I would use Wilcox Electric again (especially with Steve!).

Couldn't have gone better. These guys clearly know what they're doing, and I felt confident in their work. They talked me through every step of the process. Josh in the main office was super helpful in coordinating, Steve helped me diagnose the problem on an initial visit, and Abdel and Jonathan were tremendous in completing the work.

Steve Smith and Tim came to our new home yesterday and helped systematically troubleshoot a number of electrical issues we were having. Not only were they able to fix every one of them, but they also helped walk us through the issues so that we would be able to solve as many as possible on our own next time. Very professional and helpful and we will definitely be calling them back again!

When I called Wilcox Electric for an appointment, they were very pleasant, scheduled me for the next day, and told me exactly what the pricing was for the various levels of electricians. As promised, the electrician (Steve Smith) called to let me know when he was on his way. He arrived well within the window provided. He was efficient and was able to fix both problems, plus identify another issue that we need to have taken care of. I could not be happier with the service provided and will definitely use them again.

We had an excellent experience with Wilcox Electric. From the initial consultation to the follow-up calls to make sure everything was done as promised. Our technician (David) arrived on-time, was prepared and had the proper materials. He explained the various steps for each of the jobs, addressed our questions. Polite and professional. He took great care to clean up and was overall very conscientious around our home. The work was completed within the expected time frame and the final bill was actually less than the estimate. Each of the jobs was done right and continues to perform well. Basically they did what they said they would do when the said they would do it and did it within the budget we had agreed to.

Dale from Wilcox came to our house to check out an outlet that had started smoking. He worked quickly and efficiently to solve the problem. He was very friendly, put our minds at ease about the outlet, and we would certainly hire again for our next electrical issue.

Everyone at Wilcox Electric has been friendly, courteous, and responsive. This company is also very fair on pricing. Abdel and Eric were very professional, prompt, and did a great job in a very short time and Abdel took time to explain different options available. Finding good electricians is hard in this area, so I appreciated the neighborly personal touch. I would highly recommend them and will definitively request their services in the future.

I had an LED floodlight that needed a round junction box. I was clueless so I hired Wilcox Electric. The technician did it so fast, within one hour, that the amount due was well under the estimate. They were professional, on-time, did great work, and fair in their pricing. This was the second time I've used Wilcox, and I would use them again.

I received personalized service from the owner Steve Wilcox. The admin staff of Josh Bihlman and Rich Shumway were very much instrumental in orchestrating the task. The entire service crew were careful and considerate. I cannot say enough about the crew chief, Gando.

I could not be more pleased with the service from Wilcox. The woman who took my call was very helpful and promptly scheduled an appointment for the following week, and then called me a few hours later to let me know there had been a cancellation and that they could move my service date up two days, which was great. My electrician, Steve, arrived promptly at the beginning of the service window (and called me beforehand to inform me he was on his way). I had a hanging lighting fixture that had come apart from my ceiling and was dangling by the wires. We both thought it would be simple repair to reattach it to the ceiling, possibly with some stronger screws than those originally used. But Steve discovered that the pre-installed box to which the fixture was attached had cracked. Fortunately he had another box that fit the hole in my ceiling and was able to install it, and the light fixture, in just over an hour. Steve left my home spotless and even polished his fingerprints off of the lighting fixture after installing it. The price was very reasonable, and amazingly, when I casually mentioned Angie's List, Steve noted that I should have been given a discount. He promised to have it applied retroactively (as he had already run my card). Within an hour another gentleman from Wilcox called me to ask me how I'd like the 10% discount to be received (refunded to my card, or credited to a future service). And a few hours later, a woman from Wilcox called to let me know she had processed my refund to my card (I also got an e-mail). I didn't even know about the Angie's List discount, so all the attention to making sure I received it was truly a surprise, and I think indicative of the fantastic customer service Wilcox provides. I will definitely be using Wilcox for any future electrical projects.

Wilcox Electric is a fantastic company -- nobody wants to have to call an electrician, but I'm happy to have these guys in my speed dial now! First, the office folks were fantastic in helping squeeze us in for a diagnostic appointment in just a couple days, even though they have a *very* full schedule. Dale, the technician who was assigned to us, was super nice and efficient ... he had the problem figured out in about an hour, and told us exactly how he planned to fix it. The follow-up appointment was similarly easy to schedule, and the fix was executed with extreme care. I really appreciated that the tech and apprentice took such good care to not harm our very expensive (and new!) kitchen cabinets in their fix, and they did a great job cleaning up! Moreover, our electric outlets are working again!!! Can't say enough about how professional and nice the tech and apprentice were. While I'm not ever looking to have to seek out repairs (who would?), I can say with full confidence I'll be calling Wilcox next time I have any sort of electrical issues. Very happy they're in the D.C. area. :)

Couldn't be better! The kitchen went from a very, very dark hole to a brightly-lit, cheerful area with particularly good lighting over work areas. In the end, it cost 1/3 less than the estimate. Who could ask for more than that?

I have twice used Wilcox Electric and cannot recommend them highly enough. I don't recall the name of the first electrician who came by to review work that had been done during the prior owner's renovation, but he was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick. Today, Gando and an assistant prepared our home's electrical system for a heavy-up inspection and installed outdoor outlets in the front and back. Again, they were knowledgeable, friendly, and finished the project well within the estimated timeline. In addition to laying drop cloths and cleaning up after the work, both offered to replace furniture that was moved in order for them to perform the work! I can't imagine a much better service experience.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work performed by Abdell Laasri of Wilcox Electric. He called before arriving and/or updated me with arrival times. He was courteous, efficient, and friendly. He checked with me to discuss whether I wanted one fixture replaced that would unexpectedly involve dry wall repair, and was okay with my decision not to proceed. He left the new parts, carefully boxed up, in case I need them in the future. There was no dirt or debris left behind when he was finished. I highly recommend him and Wilcox Electric.

If you are looking for honest and competent electricians, look no further than Wilcox Electric. They offer super fast scheduling. You don't have to wait the entire day unsure the exact time they will arrive. At scheduling, they give you a small two hour window and they are true to the window. They are not a fluffy shop, they can assess and troubleshoot right over the phone. This saves time when the actual electrician arrive because the electrician arrive ready with all parts and equipment required to make the repair on the first visit. We have used a few other electricians in the past, but Wilcox Electric is the real deal and we won't use anyone else. Electrician Mr. Smith came out to us on March 1, 2018 and he replaced a breaker without shutting off the power to our entire home and within ten minutes. Mr. Smith did not rush the job, he was prepared and knew how to approach the job immediately. We were super amazed at the efficiency. Mr. Smith then checked the rest of the circuit box for any loose breakers. A job that would have taken other electrician hours, was done in minutes by Wilcox Electric. When your time matters, call Wilcox Electric, they won't disappoint!

David was the electrician who came. He was fantastic--very knowledgeable and professional. He replaced an incorrect LED dimmer switch in the den (contractor installed the wrong one and replaced a regular switch in the kitchen with a LED dimmer, adjusted an outlet plate in the bathroom so it was flush against the wall--again a careless contractor. I have used Wilcox before and will use them again!

The lights were just as we had discussed and make a huge difference. The bathroom is in our condo and has no window, so adding some additional lighting was important. Thanks for a job well done.
