Description of Work: Replaced broken relay in our oven. I liked both technicians that came out. It was $100 to come and diagnose our problem which is pretty common but I wish it were less. |They called both times before they came and were very prompt and took my schedule into account. |The second time they came out the labor took less time than the estimate so they reduced the fee. |All in all a nice company.

Description of Work: Wuerstlin's is the only authorized Dacor repair service in the area, so we contacted them last year for an estimate to repair our Dacor microwave. The person answering the phone was friendly, polite and professional. She understood the problem (dimming of the LED display) and explained that the entire control panel would have to be replaced. After hearing the estimate which included a hefty fee just to come to the house, we decided not to have the job done at that time. However, after months of trying to do without seeing the display, and after looking into replacing the whole unit, we decided to go ahead with the repairs. When we called for an appointment, they looked up our previous call and went over the estimate once again. We also asked to have the touchpad cover replaced. The technician they sent was knowledgeable, professional, careful, and courteous. He came with the correct parts and completed the job efficiently and correctly. Despite the service call fee (the reason for the B rating for cost), we would definitely call them again if the need arises in the future.

Description of Work: On the first appointment, Don said he didn't know which parts were needed to fix our Thermador cooktop downdraft, so he wanted to order 2. He said that we would be responsible for both parts. We decided to purchase one of the parts ourselves since they wanted nearly a 100% markup. Don said there would be no warranty. After speaking with the owner, they agreed to put the part in and provide a 30 day warranty. Marty came to install the part and concluded that it wasn't the problem, then blamed it on me. When I told him Don said the part was bad, he stated "I'm not going to argue with you," then continued to argue, again blaming the problem on me. Marty got made and left saying our fee would be refunded. The downdraft was not fixed. Everyone we came in contact with, including the owner was condescending, argumentative and rude. They say they've lost 3 technicians recently due to lack of work. No wonder. Stay faraway.

Description of Work: I had a problem with our dishwasher, where things didn't seem to be getting clean. With our brand-new, high efficiency dishwasher, this was something of a disappointment, and I called Wuerstlin's to have someone come take a look. On the phone, they asked me to describe the problem, and after my explanation, the woman I talked to simply said "These new high efficiency dishwashers don't use nearly as much soap as the old ones -- try just reducing the amount of detergent you're using. That's worth trying before paying money for us to come out." Well, the advice worked, and we didn't spend a dime. I feel like a moron for not figuring it out myself, but thanks to them for the advice and for saving us money!
