Punctual, skilled, and professional. Diagnosed and fixed the problem with my Bosch dishwasher in less than an hour. (It stymied the last repairman sent from the warranty service). Highly recommended.

Can I add a sixth star? Seriously what other rating can you give a guy who makes a living repairing appliances for spending 15 minutes on the phone helping to diagnose a problem I could then easily address myself **without** a service call or any charge at all!!??!! Don couldn't have been nicer, more decent, or more helpful. I hope I don't need any actual service calls in the future, but I'm thrilled that I now know EXACTLY who I'm gonna' call if I do. -- Adam in DC

We've had these folks out twice this month in rapid succession, once for a cooktop and once for a washing machine leak. They are outstanding. They return calls promptly, show up when they say they will, clearly communicate their findings, fix the issues efficiently, clean up any mess, and generally are everything one could ask for in an appliance repair shop. Would definitely hire again.
Description of Work: Examine/calibrate cooktop lighting mechanism, fix washing machine leak (caused by another set of folks who had punctured a hose, tried to fix it with tape, and not told us, but that's another review....)

I wish Bosch had sent Mike out on the first service call. It would have saved us months of frustration. The first "expert" said we were not using the dishwasher properly. We were using too much detergent and the wrong brand; that the newer DWs used much less water, and that the water level in the machine was perfect. After more poor results, I decided to manually add as much as 70 ounces of water to the wash cycle. I got much better results. When I added water to the rinse cycle I got better results. Mike listened to me and checked the water levels to conclude the water levels were way too low. He ordered a new water valve and returned to install it promptly. After 8 months of hand-washing dishes and experimentation, our nightmare was over, thanks to Mike who listened, diagnosed and repaired in a most professional manner.

This service company was excellent! They scheduled us fast, showed up on time for two different repair issues on 16 year old appliances. The two techs that visited our home both did a great job and knew how to run the diagnostics to solve our issues! We will both use and recommend them again.

Wuerstlin's is an outstanding company and we highly recommend them. We were able to get a service call quickly, the technician quickly diagnosed the problem and outlined our options, and for the fraction of the cost of a new oven, which we hoped to avoid, Wuerstlin's tracked down the parts we needed and had our oven up and running again in a few weeks. The technician who helped us was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and we are very grateful for his help.

This company was recommended by Angie's List so we went with them. We told them the 2 problems with the over when we booked the repair slot. They sent their repair person out to assess the issue and concluded the same thing - heating element was cracked (easy to see) and the hinges were failing. What was extremely frustrating was that there were no parts in stock for the service person to bring with to make a speedy repair. Instead he needed to return to the office the next day to turn in paperwork and get the parts ordered. And no electronic way to do this from the repair site. How odd and annoying in the era of everything being cellular/mobile devices that parts could not be ordered immediately. And all they could say was this was how they have done business for the last 30+ years. This was even more frustrating to a customer in the age where instant is taken as the standard. If they were not going to have any parts in their own stock for the brands they can service, one would think obtaining them would have been an easier process. They need to get with the times. And not only did it take a while to get the parts (a week), Viking wound up not sending them when they were expected. Given that Amazon can do same day shipment, one would think Viking could get parts to its customers in 2 or 3 days using simple UPS of FedEx. And repeated calls to Wuerstlins to find out when the parts were coming were answered with "we don't know, we have no way of tracking this." Ridiculous in the age where everything shipped is tracked - even the USPS can track mail, so why can't Viking and Wuerstlins? It should never be an unknown to a customer when parts are coming and when the repair will be done. Especially for high-end equipment like a Viking oven. And, they charged me for the shipping of the parts to them. When you are used to free shipping for everything from everyone else, this is frustrating too. I would have been happier if they would have built this into their resale price and not shown it to me than to show me the shipping charge. The only positive was that when the repair person was here, he was efficient, got the repair done, tested the over, and put everything back together. Bottom line, we were without the over for 2 weeks waiting on this repair. This to me is crazy and left me still a disappointed customer in the overall use of this company. I checked "no I would not use them again" as there was no choice for "maybe." I think I would try someone else first. But I would ask any other service place first - do you have parts in stock and does the repair person bring parts with so the over can be potentially fixed in one visit rather than 2?

Very unprofessional. I expected that they would make right by me and repair it correctly instead they keep charging me hundreds of dollars labor and parts to repair a 12 year old refrigerator.
Description of Work: On August 6, 2015 Michael came out to assess my broken freezer drawer because it would not slide open properly and the seal was torn. He diagnosed the problem and said he would order the parts and return to fix it. On Sept. 24th 2 different me from Wuerstlins returned and replaced the parts for $669.34 but the freezer drawer was still broken. It would now slide 8 inches before loudly falling off track. They said that I needed even more parts. Amber called me on Sept. 30 and advised it would be another $650 plus additional labor costs of $80. I protested that this was almost $1,300 and I might not have spent that much if it had been properly diagnosed and that I should not have to pay additional labor charges for their failure to diagnose and fix the problem the first time. Amber seemed indifferent. Today I spoke with the manager and he seemed very defensive, He said that it worked better than it first did but acknowledged that it is still broken. After a loud discussion he said that he will just come out and take the new parts parts off. I am still out $240 for labor and $590 for parts

Response from Wuerstlins Appliance Service
I totally understand the cust. concerns but as I explained to him the additional part needed was not evident until we got the first repair done . we offered to put his unit back to the original condition and refund his money . The reason for not a full refund was there was a gasket that was also replaced and was not contested. we offered a full refund on the disputed repair and had scheduled a time to do the job . He called the next day and cancelled the service call. thereby not giving us a chance to remove our new parts and reinstall his old parts putting the unit back to the original condition.

They were late only because of the weather and traffific, but they called to keep me posted several times. The guys that arrived were professional and dressed in uniforms. The guys were friendly, polite, and respectful of our home and family.

They were very responsive. The cost of the service was a warranty coverage. They were very professional and handled it really nice. I am definitely going to go back to them. They represent a lot of high end appliances. They were courteous and prompt and that is huge when you are waiting for something. When you book the appointment they call ahead, they give you a reasonable window, not a whole day window like some places do and their service man, he calls ahead to make sure that the window is still available for you. So I really like that because he called ahead and he said I am coming at this time, is it still a good time for you so you have an option of changing it and say no. Because there was one time that i had to reschedule, because they came and I had to leave or they were coming and I had to leave so but then they promptly rescheduled me, so they did a great job I thought. They are very nice to work with.

James at Wuerstlins Appliance Service was very helpful. He set up the appointment, looked up the parts needed to give me an idea as to how much it was going to cost. In discussing the problem, he told me that in many cases, the touch pad electronics separates from the sensor because the electronic module sags away from the touch pad plate on the front of the oven controls. I told him I noted that the control board wiggled when I touched it after I opened the rear of the oven. After talking to James I examined the oven again and noted that the tape holding the control panel to the face of the control glass on the front had become unglued. (Thanks, Bosch for putting your premium product together with double stick tape) I can easily repair the oven since double stick tape is the only remedy required so I cancelled the service call for the oven repair. When I called about the oven repair I also discussed that our Bosch microwave oven no longer made any audible noise when pressing keys or upon completion of cooking. James said that it was likely to be the main control electronic panel. James provided the price of the control panel at around $395 plus the $130 service call and about $60 for labor. Given the cost, I decided that we could live with a mute microwave oven since the total cost for repairs would be 3/4 of the cost for a brand new Bosch microwave unit. I was very impressed with the professionalism and honesty found at Wuerstlins Appliance Service. If I do have anything go wrong with an appliance, they will be the one that I call to have a repair made.

First two appointment with Wuerstlin in August 2013 - technician determined problem was with the latch. Had to be ordered - once received another appt was scheduled for him to replace latch. Scheduling was no problem - and he showed up when he was expected. Problem was that latch apparently was not the only issue with dishwasher. I ran dishwasher two more times and same thing occurred (stopping before cycle was completed - many times during one cycle -- would have to push in door to start dishwasher back up again). Called Wuerstlin on Mon 9/17 to schedule another appt - again got the time that I requested. Another technician will come and examine dishwasher to determine issue. Everyone that I have dealt with so far with Wuerstlin has been professional and courteous. Apologies made and accepted. Will update after next appt (scheduled for 9/23).

The service took two visits. The initial visit was an assessment of the problem. Two parts were needed and had to be ordered from Viking. We also asked for an assessment of a Viking oven temp calibration issue on the first visit. The second visit entailed difficult installation (because of mechanical accessibility of the built-in model) of the new parts. Everything is working well now. There was one and quot;visit-chargeand quot; that covered both sessions. And then we paid for the parts. The technician was excellent. Very cordial, confident, professional, and concerned about keeping our costs as low as possible, plus not damaging our floor with water leaks as parts were replaced. He also provided practical insights on the appliances.
