I was very much impressed with what they accomplished (including transportation time) in 3.5 hours! Even in the Sept 95 degree day, they smiled! Thanks so much!!

From start to finish, an excellent experience. Everyone involved, from the initial contact (Mark, customer service) to the estimator (Link) to the moving team (Noah, David, Vince) was professional, courteous, responsive, and focused on doing a good job. The moving team moved quickly but carefully, and finished the job in 4 hours (estimated at 5). I was impressed with how carefully they protected my furniture - even the particle board pieces - blanket wrapped and plastic wrap, in some cases. They put down cardboard and plastic to protect floors during the move. They helped me place and set up furniture where I wanted it before they left. Perry is the only company I could find in the area (NE Maryland) that is a member of the American Moving & Storage Assn and the MD Movers Conference. I liked that Perry charges a flat travel rate by zone - unlike other companies, where the clock starts when the truck leaves the company's facility. I have already recommended Perry to a family member, and would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

They were recommended by our local mortgage company. From the first contact with them, our relocation specialist, Link, was extremely responsive both by phone and email, and very accommodating with our multiple changes in dates to the move out and move in dates due to changes in settlement dates. Both day they arrived on time (early actually), did a super job, and were all very friendly. They took great care with wrapping each piece of our furniture. They did a great job listening to our requests as to where to place each piece of furniture. Moving is a stressful endeavor at best, and it was nice having one less thing to worry about!

I hired Perry Moving after getting one other bid because the sales guy followed up with me several times, and their hourly rate was the lowest. My contract was for a team of 5 guys and 2 trucks. On the loading day, only one truck arrived. We asked where the second truck was and after many calls it finally showed up 4 hours into a 4 1/2 hour move, so they had to load most of our 3,000SF house into one truck. They didn't offer much compensation for this scheduling issue on their end other than giving us a "free" buy for 30 mins. and taking the last half hour off our bill. On the unloading day, both trucks arrived but they overbilled me for 2 hours when only a 3 man crew was working, and I was told I had to talk to the owner to get the bill adjusted. They damaged the banister at our old home as well as an antique piece of furniture that I told them was delicate before the move, which they did send someone over to repair. I had to call them to get the owner to respond to refund $200 for the overbilling. It was a hassle all around, and I will not use them again.

Outstanding experience. Absolutely would use again. It's a family-owned run business and it feels that way. You trust them as one of your own family.

Our estimate was 6 guys, 9 hours. $3,500. I hired Perry based on Angie's List reviews but also two friends who had used them, both of whom spoke highly of their work. I'm not sure what happened but things did not go well for us. My poor review is based on a few key things - many items were left at our old home that we had to spend time and money going back to retrieve; the move took much longer to complete than estimated; items were not put where they belong; and we were charged another $700 in the end. I should not have paid the additional money but was exhausted and didn't think clearly about it until the next day or two. Also calls to Perry to discuss our dissatisfaction went unanswered. Five guys arrived a little after 9 a.m. I became concerned when we had not left our home by 3 p.m. The guys worked very hard, were professional and careful with our belongings. They became understandably very tired by about 8 p.m. and I later came to find out that while I was at the front door directing where boxes needed to go, other movers were loading boxes in our garage and basement. Presumably this was to offload them quickly but it caused a lot of work on our part over the last few weeks. (earlier in the day my husband had been in the basement directing them when they had a question but he went back to retrieve the hazardous waste items we knew would not be removed by the movers.) The movers left at 11 pm. We tipped all of them as they worked their tails off. Their estimate included putting all of the beds together but we had them skip one or two just because of the late hour, another inconvenience for us later. When we returned to our home to get the remaining hazardous waste, we discovered that they had left half of our belongings in our shed! We had to rent a home depot truck s and remove it ourselves. Early afternoon the day of the move, I asked the lead mover whether we could stop at our storage unit half way to the new house (time from one house to the other is about 15 min). I explained that I only wanted to do it if there was space for a desk and we wouldn't incur additional cost, and he said we would not. The day after the move, I called our sales rep. Left a message. He called me and suggested I call another person in operations. I called and left him a voicemail. No response. Coincidentally, their customer service rep called me a day or two later to "see how the move went." I called her back, got voicemail and asked her to call me back. No response. Very disappointing at an already stressful time.

On time, polite, explained thoroughly with minimum damage. The unpacking/resettling would have been easier & smoother if files had been packed in file boxes, not stashed in regular boxes which separated items & made reassembling very difficult.

Excellent. Crew & foreman were extremely considerate, professional, and I'll definitely recommend Perry to others.

overall it was good with some hitches that the company could have avoided They overpacked a truck and were stopped for excessive weight. So they had to rent another truck and shift the weight. During this process they mixed up some items of other clients In the end all of this was straightened out and we all got our own items but it was a little stressful they handled it perfectly

The team packing box's were fantastic / professional Team loading the trucks were out of this world. Would highly recommend Perry Moving & storge. You took a lot of stress off of me. The team was respectfull, proffessional & out of this world.

Overall experience was outstanding from start to finish and in-between. I could not be happier.
