Horrible from the saleforce and mgmt team BUT the moving team was great and rallied after lack of communication and poor notes fro sales! I have emails and notes stating what was needed and the moving team looked at me when they got there like "what"" but got it taken care of when noone would answer any of our txt or calls on moving day the lead took charge but had to leave my home and go get materials. Then after 90min, my family and i had to help the team pack up again without ANY support coming from sales or mgmt. Then i singed at the end of the day noting less hours materials, manpower, time etc. ready for a $400 refund as note don the bill i SIGNED, mgmt FINALLY got involved and refused to refund and blamed it on the moving team and myself! i was told this company was good but it was the most unprofessional sales and mgmt team i have ever worked with. Have to dispute this now with my ccard company. Beware of this company from what i understand after doing more research this is not the first time i just wish i had researched but a real estate friend recommended them - telling them what happended as well.

I couldn't even get to 1st base with this company. I've been calling a few days in a row and every v-mail box is either full or no one picks up the phone nor is there a receptionist. I must've called them 25 times just randomly dialing people on the list and not one person answered their phone. I was optimistic about this mover because of the great reviews but now I'm not sure if they're for real. Oh well.

Let me begin my review by saying that if I could give MORE than a 5-star rating to Perry Moving and Storage that I certainly would! My review also comes with experience in multiple moves across the country and around the world…as I worked for the Federal Government for over 30-years and was moved 7-times during my career. I can say with confidence that our recent move with Perry was the best organized, most courteous, and best executed move I have ever had! Our move with Perry involved a major household pickup from Berlin MD, storage for over one-month at Perry warehouse, secondary pickup from Falls Church VA, integration with that second pickup with our initial pickup and all items placed in storage. Ultimately, the entire ~8,000 pounds of belongings were delivered to our new retirement home in Santee SC within the contractually guaranteed delivery window. Best of all…we had NO breakage, NO damage, and NO loss of any belongings within that 8,000-pound shipment! Our Perry Moving and Storage process began with a video walkthrough of our MD home by Steve. This was an awesome way to develop initial inventory and estimated weight. Steve was very experienced, accurate, and thorough. He provided us a guaranteed (BINDING) quote. If you deal with another company that will not give a BINDING quote…move on quickly! A BINDING quote is critical to a good move and guarantees your price. We spoke to and interviewed four other movers and Perry was by far the best organized and competent. After we booked with Steve, we began to work with Tara on scheduling the pickup and delivery. The three crews we worked with were very competent, careful, and polite. Recall we had two pickups from different homes and a third team with delivery. Each team placed runners on the floor to protect flooring. All furniture was carefully wrapped in blankets and plastic wrap. Some of our furniture was very fragile and had glass top tables, glass door hutches, big screen TVs, etc. We had NO damage and NO breakage! Tara planned and scheduled our cross-state delivery. She is very conscientious and “owned” our delivery until the day the delivery arrived. Perry does not require upfront payment, but only requires 100% delivery day before shipment arrival. Our delivery was INCREDIBLY challenging for Perry to coordinate and execute in the midst of crew shortages due to sickness…yet was executed by a dedicated crew who loaded and drove our 8,000 pound shipment from their warehouse outside Baltimore to our new home in Santee SC on Saturday 19 December…yes, the week before Christmas! The delivery crew unwrapped all furniture and carrier packed items and placed where we instructed. They protected all flooring with runners and doors as necessary. I highly recommend Perry Moving and Storage for any size move…local or long distance! A special thank you to Steve and Tara from my wife Diane and I (Robert)!

From the initial contact for an estimate to the completion of the move was handled in a very professional manner. I felt very confident and comfortable with the handling of our furniture. Eric was the leader of the team on moving day and he did a great job with executing the move in an organized and caring way. I will definitely use Perry Moving Services and request Eric for my future move.

I highly recommend Perry Moving. We requested a quote from them for a pretty quick (2 week) move of about 20 miles within Maryland. They responded quickly and Sam Perry came to our house to do a quick and comprehensive walkthrough. He promptly followed up with a very detailed and itemized quote which was very reasonably priced. After doing our due diligence, we selected them and I'm so glad we did. Their communication leading up to moving day was great. The team of three movers was fantastic - they were polite, friendly, professional, and it was obvious they respected our property as they took great care of it. The crew leader even took the time to learn and remember my children's names. They packed everything up efficiently and unloaded everything efficiently as well. They took care to keep the new house clean as they came in and out and ran like a well oiled machine. We were provided an itemized bill which matched the quote. I could not be happier with them and would absolutely use them again and recommend them to my friends!

Perry Moving is the most professional and competent company I have hired in a while. They sent a pair of two-person crews to pack up our separate Washington DC townhouses on the first day, had two four-person crews loading separate trucks and moving us in to the new house on the second day and even sent a three-person crew on the third day to help us unpack at the new place. Apart from a tiny amount of broken glassware, the move went very smoothly. This was a difficult move, with many heavy boxes of books, files and tools -- plus a long outside staircase up to the new house -- yet each crew worked incredibly hard for nine and 10 hours straight with good humor and no complaints. Would highly recommend.

The movers were excellent and took very good care of my stuff.! One things to note was when the original quote came I questioned why I would need 2 trucks when I was only moving 2 doors up. the guy said the movers would put the item in the truck and then pull it up to the new house (literally 300 feet). When the movers arrived in 2 separate trucks they were as puzzled as I was as to why they had brought 2 trucks. They didn't put ANYTHING into a truck, they walked it all up the sidewalk from the old house to the new house. While I dont think I was charged for the extra truck since it was based on an hourly rate, I do think I was charged an extra $100 for the additional truck's travel time to my house(s). The movers though made excellent time on my move so I came in under budget. But ask more questions if you know something doesn't sound right when they set up the quote.

The moving crew was fantastic. They were prompt and professional. From disassembly and reassembly of large items to moving heavy and fragile items, nothing was broken or damaged. Reasonably priced. Would definitely hire again!

The move went very well. It started with the estimator, Sam Perry, coming out to our Baltimore home to discuss our moving particulars and to go room by room with us to detail the items to be moved. He spent a lot of time with us and answered all our questions in a professional manner. We wanted our belongings to be handled by one crew leader on one truck (no transfers or combining with other peoples' loads), with pick up in Baltimore on Friday, August 14th, and delivery in West Yarmouth on Saturday, August 15th. Sam was agreeable to this arrangement. He emailed the detailed binding estimate later that day. We packed the fragile items ourselves and moved them in a small U-Haul. Perry Moving moved most of the contents of our house, including antique furniture, which was carefully wrapped by them before they loaded it onto the truck. Tara S was the moving coordinator and she explained and handled the payment aspects, answering any questions we had along the way. Richard G was the crew leader, and he was professional and adept at managing the crew and organizing the move. He managed a crew of 3 in Baltimore and a crew of 2 in West Yarmouth. Everything arrived in perfect condition, including our antique furniture with glass doors and shelves and our antique mirrors. We knew the move would cost a little more because of the special arrangements we requested, but Perry Moving was willing to work with us and they provided excellent service.

Perry Moving and Storage was outstanding from beginning to end. Our moving coordinator Kristie was helpful, responsive, and professional throughout the process. The quote came back lower than other companies I contacted and they had available dates which was important since I had a tight timeline. The day of the move Jason, Dwayne, and Sam arrived promptly and had great attitudes. They assured me that they would treat my items as if they were there own. That was certainly the case. Large furniture items were carefully wrapped in clean blankets. Glass items were likewise packed in special packing materials and treated with care. The crystal and china were carefully wrapped and padded in dish packages and treated with extra care. The total pack out took much less time than was estimated. The trip to our home went well and we had absolutely no damage to any of our items. The guys brought everything into the house before unwrapping them and put it exactly where we wanted it. Even when we changed our minds about certain items and asked them to be moved to another spot there was no grumbling or complaining. They just jumped in and took care of it. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with these men and they were true professionals at their craft. I grew up in a military family and we moved about every three years. My experience with Perry Moving and Storage was top notch and the best move I have ever had. I would use Perry again without question.

Great! The number of movers, the care with which they treated my house and my new location by putting down quilts to cover the floors, covering furniture, and disassembling and reassembling furniture as necessary - it all exceeded my expectations. Space and time estimates were spot on.

The Perry staff was punctual, professional and respectful. The quote was accurate and was honored. I would use Perry Moving again.

Extremely well. Perry Moving and Storage had been highly recommended, independently, by two close friends, so I made the moving arrangements with them without getting other estimates. The van arrived on time with a crew of four good-natured, jovial, hard-working men. Since I had already moved small pieces of furniture, as well as the contents of kitchen cabinets, closets, and the drawers of all of the larger pieces of furniture, the focus was on the larger pieces of furniture, and the remaining contents of the basement and garage. At both my former home and my new home, the men took great care to protect flooring, carpeting, walls, and so on from inadvertent damage. They were also very careful with each piece of furniture, etc. Pieces were wrapped with padding and then sealed with plastic wrap. The wall-to-wall carpeting and flooring were also covered in plastic in passageways and stairways to protect them from dirt and damage. There were a couple of special challenges. My home office had a large hutch for the computer system that had been assembled in that room and could not be taken out through the small "bedroom" door. One of the men made a valiant effort to disassemble it, trying to separate the top from lower portion with desktop, file cabinet, and pull out drawer. Even though this was certainly not a service they could be expected to do, he insisted on trying. In the end, after he had worked on it for several minutes, I decided to just leave it behind. But his commitment to helping me take the hutch to my hew home was notable. This same individual went out of his way to be helpful at my new home. I have a large, extremely heavy chest in the living room. When I first acquired it, it came with four feet that would raise it few inches off the floor. I had saved the box with the feet in it, but had never had the physical resources to install them. I happened to mention that it came with feet and he immediately offered to install them for me. I hesitated, thinking it was too much to ask, but he persisted and single-handedly managed to get it done. Another somewhat unusual aspect of the move was that I had previously vacated my university laboratory and had brought more than 2,000 clinical research files to my home. So there were a very large number of heavy boxes containing books and paper. It was a very long hot day, but the men had a great camaraderie, worked very well together as a team, and kept the mood light with joking and teasing. It was actually fun, at least for me!

I printed coupon offered. I filled in all the information required pertinent to the move. The company never contacted me. I had been contacted by another company, which I also viewed on Angies list, so I know information went through. Company should have given me the courtesy of contacting me.

Sam Perry provided an estimate that was quite accurate. The moving crew arrived promptly, were courteous, and were careful with our furniture. We were very pleased with their service.

Estimator was professional, accurate. The 3 movers were polite, careful, worked well together, both at pick up and delivery. We had some older furniture, which they wrapped carefully and handled professionally. We also had a storage unit off site, which they loaded last. Upon delivery, they worked well together to assure everything was delivered in excellent shape. Nothing was damaged or broken. They removed boxes that we had emptied while they had moved belongings into our new house. We would highly recommend Perry Movers to our neighbors and friends.

Packers and movers came on the scheduled days, but they were short handed for packers (peak moving season) so it took longer than expected. The movers came on the second day and worked while the packers finished up. For me, it was not a problem since everything got finished on time. Everyone worked very hard, was professional and careful with the move. The lead guys asked all the right questions. I was happy with the service at the end of the day. I had used Perry before, so expected good service. My only concern is that the final cost was a good bit more than the estimate provided, but was still competitive with other estimates I received.

From the estimate to the actual moving, everything went above expectations. The crew was careful and when came time to unload they made sure everything was going where we wanted. I would highly recommend them.

Highly recommend not using this company!!! I witnessed the lovers drop my elliptical machine. They also caused some minor scratches to my vehicle and damaged some other goods. Given the size of my load, the problems were relatively few. It has been there handling of the damage claims has been that has been the problem. After initially acknowledging the claims, they are now refusing to pay and have stopped responding to my communications. In addition to the standard insurance, I also purchased additional coverage, given the value of some of my items. I am now forced to pursue legal remedy. The lovers weren’t bad, but if anything goes wrong, can’t rely on this company to live its word. Recommend going with another company.

Great company! I had them start in NJ and pick up everything from a storage unit. A week later they got everything from my house in Maryland and went to another location and loaded another storage unit and later that week they delivered everything in Florida. They are precise, careful and professional!
