Perry Moving & Storage

Prior to the move, Sam Perry personally came to the home, explained the fees and supplied us with ample boxes to perform the move. The staff was at the house exactly when I was told. The entire team was very friendly to all of us, respectful of our home, not damaging any of our walls or items. They moved quickly and never gave the slightest impression that they were going to waste time. They moved a large treadmill without having to disassemble, and brought it up to the 3rd floor and placed it exactly where asked. Without hesitation they moved our bed in one of the rooms multiple times until it was where we were sure we wanted it. The move was completed about 2 hours sooner than estimated, which ended up in savings for us. For those of you who have heard that Jessup, MD is a hotbed for scam moving companies, I assure you this one is LEGIT. I not only would use them again, I plan to use them for our next move. I would recommend them to anyone. They did what they said they'd do, and that's all you can ask.

I worked with Diana Oliver from the start. She was teh first and only call I made after finding Perry Moving on Angie's List. Soon she became like my best friend!I was happy with teh overal service and realized no damage to my furniture.

Perry did a FABULOUS job from beginning to end. They were polite, fast and most of all careful. I would definitely use them again.

These guys are amazing! Removing my furniture and belongings from the duplex was relatively simple, but the home I moved into was a nightmare for movers. My new residence has six sets of stairs with seven stairs in each set. The stairways are narrow and the ceiling at the top of the first set is low. For that reason, several pieces of my furniture could not make it up the stairs, and had to be hoisted over a third-floor balcony at a later date. Despite the grueling stairs, the guys who moved me were polite, friendly and professional. If they were bothered by the stairs, they gave no indication of it. They tried as hard as they could to get all of my furniture into my home, but eventually several pieces ended up in my garage. The crew leader called Rick Perry and discussed the possibility of hoisting the furniture over the balcony. We made arrangements to have the furniture hoisted the next week. One of the pieces was a 400-pound armoire that could not be taken apart -- or so I thought. That armoire had nearly brought tears to the eyes of movers in the past. I had pretty much resigned myself to the likelihood that the armoire was not going to make it into the house. I was saddened by the thought because the armoire is part of a bedroom set that I was quite fond of. On the morning that we scheduled the hoist, temperatures were in the 20s, not ideal circumstances for hoisting heavy furniture onto a third-floor balcony. I should also mention that the balcony is relatively narrow, barely six feet wide. this was a risky undertaking. But Mr.Perry and his crew arrived on time and got to work. They removed the sliding glass door that led into my kitchen from the balcony. Quickly, efficiently, professionally, they hoisted a queen-size box spring, a king-size headboard, a 10-foot long sofa. Then it was time to hoist the monster armoire. To my surprise, Mr. Perry had managed to remove the doors on the armoire to lighten it up a bit. He said to me: "I'm going to get your armoire in here, but it may get a ding or two in the process." I assured Mr. Perry that I would gladly overlook the dings if he could get that armoire into my house and up the stairs to the master bedroom. Not only did they get the armoire into my bedroom, they also managed to do so without putting a scratch on it. They finished assembling my bedroom furniture and were done. The entire process took only about two hours. I highly recommend this company. At any point, they would have been totally justified in telling me that the hoisting was too risky. On the initial day of the move, they could have charged me extra because of the stairs. But at all times they were pleasant and unaffected by the circumstances. I ended up paying more to hoist the four items of furniture that I did for the entire move. But it was worth it to have all my furniture in place, and totally warranted given the riskiness of the operation.

Perry Moving was recommended to us by our realtor/friend and they did not disappoint! They were awesome from begining to the very end. I was nervous because our home had to be in storage for approx 3 wks due to a delay between selling and buying, and we had never been without "our stuff" for so long. Rich Perry understood our concerns and never made us feel as though we were too needy, even if we were. The crew packed our home for 3 days and did an amazing job, we we so confident in the crew that we left the state when they were less than 1/2 way through loading the truck. Upon arrival to MD, our house hold goods were crated and placed into storage. When it was time for our items to be removed from storage, the crew was prompt and fast. They placed the items in the correct rooms and assembled the beds. They even came back a week later to remove the boxes! We have alot of antiques that are 150+ years old, and everything arrived in the excellent condition. I don't believe there is another company out there who can pack and move as well as Perry Moving!

They did a fantastic job, and I would use them again and have already recommended them to others. Sam Perry came by promptly to provide an estimate, the moving crew was on-time, careful, and thorough, and the price came in slightly below the estimate (which was very price competitive). They wrapped and padded all large items, and they put down carpet-savers and padding in both houses. No damage to our goods nor either house. They also provided free recycled moving boxes, and their estimate had no hidden fees.

Our move with Perry Moving and Storage was an excellent experience. Dianna provided a very accurate estimate for the move. The 3 movers were fast, efficient, and careful. They placed everything exactly where we wanted it. The cost was just slightly less than the estimate. I would defintely recommend them and would use them again.

I found Perry on Angie's List. They were very cooperative in setting a convenient moving date, providing an estimate, staying in touch, showing up on time and completing the move professionally without any problems. They sent three men for the move versus two on the estimate, so the final price was higher than anticipated, but thethree man crew did work out well.

Great job. Perry send a professional and fun crew of guys. All very nice and very careful with my belongings. They moved fast whenever possible, they worked very hard and accomodated some requests from me that were not required. They were a pleasure to work with at such a stressful time!

They were on time, cooperative, bery knowledgeable and respectful. They did a good job of taking care of my items.

I found them on Angie's List. The job went great, better than some of my previous moves. We did our move on very short notice and they were able to get everything together, get the contract together and I liked that they were open, honest and straight forward about the process. They let us know what costs were and weren't included. Many of the different moving companies I spoke to gave us their base rate but then you pay extra for many things and they would give us a final price when they get there. What I liked about this company is that they said this is our rate per hour and everything is included. The 3 guys that did the move were hard working, professional and I never had any worries about the 3 of them, like having to watch them and my stuff. They were a little pricey, I think you end up paying more to know it is all inclusive.

I don't have much time to do this, as we are still in the process of moving our personal articles. But suffice it to say, I would agree with most or all of the positive reviews given.

Overall an excellent experience working with Perry. The movers were professional and courteous, worked efficiently and carefully. The move took less time than I anticipated.

Workers arrived on time. They put down sheet plastic to protect carpets in both houses. A few pieces of furniture required disassembly for moving, and reassembly at new house, and this was done well. Work was quickly, with no delays. Instructions were followed well. Special requests were done without question. Large 300 lb TV was moved with very little difficulty. Only one minor damage occurred to inexpensive piece of furniture which I didn't care about; this was pointed out to me, which I appreciated.

Overall it went better then expected. Four crew mwmbwers arrived on time and loaded all of my bleongings into the truck . They were fast and efficient. During the unloading the same quick and efficient process took place.

The movers arrived within the scheduled window. They were polite and worked carefully to protect furniture. Communication of challenges (getting the couch through the door) and schedule (taking breaks) was excellent. My furniture arrived in good condition and the move was finished in less time than estimated.

The move was excellent. The three men that did the work were friendly, courteous and worked tirelessly. I was moving from a main level apartment to a fourth floor, walk-up building. They finished faster than estimated which saved me a little bit of money. They were careful with my furniture. As one of the guys said to my Mom, who was there on moving day, "Everything is fragile to us". I would recommend them to my friends.

There was a little snag in New York when Rich hadn't filed the certificate of insurance required by the condominium but recovered quickly and faxed the completed form when I contacted him by phone. The day they moved our things in was terribly hot but they worked diligently and assembled all the furniture and removed the waste. One of the movers was also one of the packers in MD and they were very polite and professional.

Three movers showed up on time and worked tirelessly. They were polite and professional and took good care of our furniture. My only complaint is with the estimate. The young man who came to do our estimate underestimated by about 3 hours, and this is even after we had brought over many boxes ourselves. The guys who did the move did not stop working and they took the time to inform us that it was taking longer than the given estimate and would cost a bit more. An estimate is an estimate, I understand, just wish it could have been closer to the actual hours worked.

They were extremely careful in their packing and meticulous in tracking every box and piece of furniture. We were very pleased with how quickly they worked. Our belongings will be in storage for about 6 months while our new home is being built. Their estimatesall across the board was more than the actual cost which was a bonus. Although they have not yet delivered our belongings to our new home, we expect that the cost will also be below the estimate and that they will do an outstanding job.

They were very nice. The owner even called to help me out. Ben March helped me. They didn't do any work for us, but they did assist us in finding the mover. I called their office and left a message. They called me back. We talked and they provided someone that did small moves. They had worked with the other mover for several years and they had nothing but excellent reports on the work that they did. Most of the large movers want 2000 pounds or more and what we had was less than 1000 pounds. We only had a cupboard and a chair that had to be moved and they were antique.

I had a very good experience with them. I got them from Angie’s List. I spent $3,300 on the job. I would use them again in the future if needed.
