He's been excellent so far. He was very pleasant to work with and answered all my questions. He gave me some tips on ordering some packing boxes wholesale. He came out to my home and gave me a very thorough estimate on my move.

Perry's service was superb, from Diana's estimate to loading the furniture from a packed storage facility in Rockville to unloading it in the Florida panhandle two weeks later. I had an awful experience with a mover three years ago and so was very wary this time. I was unable to get many reliable reviews of moving companies over the Internet, to my surprise. One mover touted his company as "being on Angie's List", so I joined, in order to see if there were any highly rated local movers. I found two, one of them being Perry (the company touted as "being on Angie's List only had a C+ rating, so they were out, as they were counting on my not checking the rating!). From the very first phone call, taken by Diana, through the pickup and delivery, everyone was as professional as they could be. The movers showed up when they were supposed to for the pickup, and while the delivery was on the later end of the delivery window I had selected, it was still within the window. They labeled everything, took care in packing fragile things, and moved quickly on both ends. Moreover, they did not charge me until all the furniture was delivered and in place. In other words, I had no anxiety whatsoever about the tactic I had read about online of "hidden charges" being sprung on the stressed-out and essentially helpless customer at the point of delivery. In fact, to my utter amazement, the whole experience was somewhat pleasant! In terms of price, while they were not the lowest quoted price at all, I tended to discount the lowball estimates as teaser rates, as they tended to come from less reputable firms. Once I had an idea of the price range for my move, by having gotten several estimates, I was more concerned about quality of service and reliability and was willing to pay up, a reasonable amount, for a firm with a sterling reputation. There were only two moving companies I found on Angie's List that met that test, and Perry was one of them. I am very pleased to say they totally lived up to my expectations, meaning all was delivered intact and with a smile. One of the most important factors in Perry's favor is that they use their own crews, do not subcontract, and they have employees who have been with the company for some years doing the work. It all leads to a feeling of confidence when dealing with them. I had never heard of Perry Moving before joining Angie's List. I can assure you, my positive experience was worth ten times the annual membership fee, and I highly recommend Perry to anyone who needs a mover.

I called the Perry Movers because I just bought a house and needed to move some heavy pieces of furniture. I was able to move the little stuff myself. I called and schedule an appointment for an estimate of how much it would be and Diana showed up and she did the estimate, she talked to my husband because at the moment I was at work. When I got home my husband told me that it would be about $700.00 and that they will show up on the 27th April around 8am and that I would be emailed the estimate. At that moment I assumed that it was all settle. Within a day I received an email from Diana with the estimate but I never reply to her or called her to let her know that we would be using them. On the day of the move around 8:30 am I called to ask at what time they would be arriving at the house and they were kind of surprise because they did not have me on the schedule for that day at all!!! They said they would call me back in a few minutes and after I hung up I called my husband and explained the situation and I was thinking that I may have to start making panic calls to other companies to see who could come that Friday because we had to be out of that house by Sunday of that week. Around 9:30am Mr. Perry called and apologized for the confusion and said that they could send a crew in the afternoon. I was so grateful!!!The crew that showed up was very friendly. I felt bad for ruining their Friday because they had to stay so late to help me but they were very friendly and did seem to mind that they had to stay late. I would definitely use them again!!!

Everything went beautifully. Diana was a pleasure to work with, although sometimes we had to wait longer than we wanted for a reply to our questions. We were impressed by her expertise. All of the documents were clearly drawn. And again, we were so glad that we chose to go with a company that sent someone out. The movers they assigned--both crews, at the pickup end, and the transporting/delivery end--were terrific. Again, seasoned professionals. They treated all items with utmost care. They were kind, considerate, and went above and beyond to make sure that each item arrived safely. Not a single item was damaged in this cross-country move. There were approximately 70 cartons, plus some furniture pieces, with a total weight of 2,960 lbs., transported 1,092 miles.

A crew of 2 employees came 2 days before the move to pack up kitchen, dining room, wall pictures and mirrors, grandfather clock and closets. Day of the move arrived at 8 am with a crew of 3 employees. Loaded one large truck and unloaded, placed and assembled furniture. We unboxed items and they took away all wrapping papers and boxes. Employees were professional, courteous and respectful. Very personable. Were finished by about 3 pm. Couldn't have asked for a better crew. Exactly what you want from a moving company.

We picked Perry Moving based on the great reviews it has received on Angie's List, and we were not disappointed. The team of movers arrived promptly each day, and the men were friendly and answered all our questions. They worked efficiently and carefully to make sure our households goods were packed and loaded both quickly and securely. We pointed out a few items that we thought needed extra care, and the men were especially careful with those items. They packed up our house in one day and loaded the truck the next, drove 11 hours to our new house the day after that, then unloaded the truck the day after that. Every part of the operation went smoothly due to the professionalism and expertise displayed by the team. There were no surprises with the cost, either.

The move seemed fine at first, until the items arrived. Be sure to buy the extra insurance if you go with Perry Moving. You are definitely going to need it.

Perry Moving & Storage was very good and recommended to me by my realtor. They were very professional and completed all of the work on time and properly. There was only one other cost that was extra but that was fine.

It was wonderful. The owner was very active in the move and made sure the job was done correctly. It was very impressive. They were careful and didn't break anything. They did a very good job and we are very pleased. It was a easy move for us. They took 25% off the estimated bill because they were able to move us in less time than they expected. In the future if we need moving services again, we will only use them. I even gave a reference for them to our real estate agent.

Bobby and his crew did an excellent job. They were quick and very careful with all the items. All furniture was wrapped securely before moving. Nothing was damaged in the move. I would definitely use them again.

I used this company for my recent move (~15 miles). I packed my own boxes. They packed my TV's and mattress in boxes. The 2 movers were quick and professional. I had a lot of stuff to move from a 3 bedroom townhouse. Unfortunately on the day I decided was one of the hottest days of the summer (close to 100 degrees). They took appropriate breaks. They placed everything in the correct place and ensured that I was satisfied. They were careful not to scuff my hardwood floors. There was small damage to the walls but they did point this out prior to leaving. The company does provide free used boxes if you go to their office. Luckily my old place was only a few miles away.

The company's motto is "The Best Move You Will Ever Make". THEY ARE RIGHT! These guys were awesome! Everything went perfectly. Ours was a last-minute move and they accommodated us without any problems at all. The estimate was stress-free and easy. The movers showed up on time and were all very friendly, courteous, polite, and knowledgable. They wrapped every piece of furniture with care. They were creative in finding ways to get big furniture out of a narrow row house with even narrower doors. Three cheers to Perry Moving!

They were very responsive and were very quick and thorough. They took extra measures to protect the furniture. They delivered everything on time.

Picked up as scheduled and duly delivered on schedule. Driver and his assistant professional. Only downside was cost which was based on a minimum weight. Still if we had rented a trailer, spent 2 1/2 days on the road with attendant gas, food and lodging expenses plus hired labor to load and unload the piano in both locations we would have probably spent about the same amount.

When we sold our house in a record two days, we were fortunate enough to find a new home but unfortunate in that we needed to move twice - the move-out date (from the old home) and move-in (into the new home) didn't coincide! So Perry's actually moved us twice: packed us up, put all of our things into their storage facility (free for up to one month), and then returned on the 17th to wind it all up. The different crews (two of the three were the same - Bobby, an awesome crew leader and Laurel, a workaholic!) were both FANTASTIC. I would highly recommend this company - they took great care to carefully move each piece of furniture, and treated our belongs as if they were their own. Thanks to Perry Moving for making a very stressful time unstressful!

We had obtained four estimates for this job, and went with Perry based on their reputation and also the fact that they had experience with hoisting items to an upper floor. They were the most expensive estimate we received, but because they had a four man crew rather than a three man crew, we felt that the work could be done more quickly and efficiently. This proved to be true. Our dealings with Sam Perry with our estimate, and follow-up was excellent. Sam was very professional, and explained everything to us, and also listened to our concerns. On the day of the move the four men arrived at our storage unit and had our possessions completely loaded onto the truck in less than two hours. They then met us in Baltimore, and unloaded, and set up items quickly and efficiently. Because of a narrow staircase to the second floor, some items needed to be hoisted from a sally port up through a balcony and into the home. They made it look easy! The four men in the crew were very focused and professional. They had the entire truck unloaded and our possessions where we wanted them placed in a total time of approximately 5 hours from start to finish. We would highly recommend Perry Moving to our friends and neighbors.

I like everything about them. They were very attentive to our needs and they were very quick, clean and very competent. They are very very good at what they do, very quick, very intelligent, obviously knew their business.

Sam and Dave helped coordinate a worry free move. The moving team was professional and well organized.

We are an army family and have moved several times, but this was the best we have ever seen! Nothing was broken. Everything ranging from making the arrangements to making the actual move was great. I would recommend them highly!

Perry Moving & Storage has a good planning process. I felt comfortable with the people and they seem like an honest company.

Perry Moving did an excellent job of packing, storing, and moving our furniture and household possessions from MD. The estimate which the owner gave us in March was accurate when the job was completed the following January. The furniture was packed very efficiently and separately labeled for delivery to NJ and AZ. We were able to retrieve winter clothes out of storage. The piano and other large pieces of furniture were safely moved to NJ two weeks before Christmas on a tight schedule. The delivery to AZ was about a month later and was very close to the schedule agreed upon. We were pleased with all aspects of this move.

In a word, this experience was fantastic. From the wonderful person who came out to walk through our house for the estimate to the crew that actually moved our belongings, this company was great. They showed up on time, were extremely friendly and professional. They moved all of our belongings with only 1 or 2 minor pieces being damaged, and that was probably because of how we packed them. They wrapped and handled all of our furniture with care. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to my friends.

They are excellent and I have used them before. They did not do anything wrong and were good. I will use them again in the future.

They responded to our inquiry within 24 hours and Diana promptly scheduled a visit to give us an estimate, based on everything we had to move. Diana was very proficient in going through every room and inventorying everything to give us an estimate that was right on. On the day of the move, the 3 man crew called ahead to say they were close as they arrived within minutes of the scheduled time. When they arrived, they were extremely professional and efficient. They were very understanding that it was a stressful day for us and they helped us finish up some of our packing and gave suggestions on the best way to get everything moved. After arriving at our new home, they were very careful to protect the flooring and carpeting with plastic covering and they took great care in moving everything into the right room. We were also having blinds installed on the same day as the move. After the installer finished with the blinds, we asked if he would take the empty boxes from the blinds and he said they didn't do that, but the movers were kind enough to offer to take the boxes away for us....A BIG plus! I've moved several times in the last 10 years and this was by FAR the best moving experience I've ever had....They were on time, very reasonably priced, careful and efficient, friendly and helpful and above all else, they were honest. They said what they would do and how much it would cost, and they stuck to it. This is a no-brainer for your next move.
