They were amazing. They came on December 26 in freezing rain and snow with 6 people and did a fantastic job. I can't say enough about them. They wrapped everything in quilted blankets with plastic wrap outside the blankets. We were so pleased I can't tell you. They were fast, very courteous and professional. All of the drivers and assistants were very good. Their pricing was very reasonable

This incident happened long time ago, however I was reminded of this experience as I prepare to move back to Md. I had hired them before with good results, but this time the long distrance move was a nightmare. I had hired them to pack, unfortunately they RUSHED that job using some unqualified packers who did not speak english. I was there and it was like a Three Stooges episode, unfortunately the joke was on me. Not so funny. In fact while "packing" a large painting they placed it on the floor. And one of the guys walked on it. I just happened to turn my back and see this. This was a complicated move. Some items were to remain in Maryland and they were marked and were segregated. They even messed that up and sent several boxes to Florida and had to send them back to Md. My sculpture was thrown in the box with a printer, even after I told them repeatedly about how expensive my art was. In fact during the estimate I emphasized to the salesperson that the art had to be handled with kid gloves. When they arrived in Florida, they were tired and anxious to get back and did not wait for me to inspect the boxes or inventory. Half of the boxes they packed were not filled I large box box was filled with two pillows. They charged me for the boxes but did not have printed rates. When I called Richard Perry about this nightmare he was rude, refused to discount the boxes. Gave a small stipend for the broken art piece and the chair they damaged. I had paid for insurance yet he said I didn't meet the deductible. The fact that I was a repeat customer held no sway. I will never ever use them. Maybe they cleaned up their act. But I doubt it. UPDATE TO SERVICE PROVIDER'S RESPONSE: 1/18/2013 Perry movers have not contacted me as they stated. In addition I hired them to pack artwork and kitchen breakables. The first person they sent was not able to finish due to a storm and my home losing power. He came in the afternoon, so there was no way he could finish. I called David and he said he had no packers available until moving day. The salesperson knew what was to be packed why give such a small window. The inventory sheet did not point out the broken chair. They rushed the packing as I said stepping on my large original painting. Evan actually was sympathetic to the chaos, there were so many people in my house he couldn't supervise them..And putting my original sculpture in a box with a printer. What professional mover does that. Perry was on vacation during the packing process so he doesnt know what happened until he got back. This was a large house and the items to stay were segregated. Mentioning my divorce is unnecessary. So is mentioning my move as a nightmare, it's a nightmare Perry caused by poor management. In Florida, the reason I had them stay while I unpacked was to assure that I had a witness to the damages that I discovered early on.and boxes that were not packed properly . Again, why say you tried to reach me about this review when you have not. It's only to put me in a bad light. Not very professional is it?

We have attempted to contact this member about this review and she has not returned our calls. We would like to let Angies List Members know this is not an accurate accounting of the move. She hired Perry Moving Services to pack her pictures and art work only and to move her belongings to Florida. When our crew arrived at her home in Maryland the house was not organized and not ready to be moved. Her items were mixed throughout the house with her ex-husbands belongings who was staying in the house. The items she was supposed to pack were not packed. She agreed to additional packing that needed to be done in order to get her moved. We recognized this job to have a potential for disaster and assigned our Operations Manager Evan Pearce to supervise the job and also drive to Florida to deliver the shipment. Upon delivery Evan called the office to let us know she wanted items unpacked and would not sign for delivery until we unpacked her boxes. In the name of customer service I instructed Evan to unpack anything she wanted. Unpacking is not part of a standard delivery but in the name of customer service we agreed to unpack the items she was concerned about including the pillows and linens she mentions. We do acknowledge the two damaged items which were a sculpture and an arm on a chair that were damaged and we settled the claim to her satisfaction. There was no mention of a damaged painting in the claim during or after the move. The following is a quote from an email she sent me, " I have not been able to respond due to private matters...considering the issues that we have talked about I would like a refund in the amount of $400.00, this covers damage to the chair, my artwork and over packing of boxes. Let's not argue, please remit to my American Express card.. “ We settled her claim at $550.00, even though the chair damage was a pre-existing condition that was documented on the inventory sheet before loading and she could not produce any evidence of value or cost of repair for the statue. We had really thought we had satisfied her issues and concerns to her satisfaction. We acknowledge that it is very difficult to remain unaffected in a situation such as this. We truly do not want our customers to be dissatisfied with our services. We are a professional moving company and always aspire to provide high quality service. We feel this incidence was unfortunate and does not truly represent our Company.

The movers were very efficient. They worked very hard to get the job done as quickly as possible. This is important because they were paid by the hour. They were very professional and friendly. I give them an A rating in all categories. However, they did not have an electric drill and had a little trouble taking apart the loft bed. I had an electric drill and was happy to assist with the disassembly and the reassembly of the loft bed. This might be a problem for future customers. They had an evaluation form for me to complete; hopefully they will correct this problem.
Description of Work: They moved us from our old home to our new home. In addition, they moved my father's furniture from the basement of the old home to upstairs portion of the old home (he remained behind when we moved to the new house).

This company was absolutely amazing! My belonging were in a 8x16 storage POD from PODS. They company (PODS) dropped my storage unit while moving it out of their wearhouse, it broke and was undeliverable, some of my belongings were destroyed too. Perry's moving was able to assist me on extremely short notice (2 days). They quoted me 4 hours of work over the phone, and the job took 4 hours including travel between destinations. Booking was smooth and effortless. They arrived at the agreed on time ready to work. The moving guys were super friendly, extremely fast when moving my belongings, and took care when moving everything to insure no damage was done. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with them.
Description of Work: The company moved my belongs from a broken storage POD to my new place up 3 flights of stairs to a loft in a town house.

It was a very pleasant experience. When I called to schedule a moving date/assessment, Sam Perry was able to meet with me for an appointment within a few days of my telephone call. He agreed to meet with me at the home on Friday to conduct the estimate. He came to the house and took note of everything that needed to be moved. He was pleasant, professional and quick. I had expected (hoped for) an estimate on Saturday/Monday. When I did not receive the estimate, I called the office and spoke with Heidi. Heidi found the estimate and promptly emailed it to me. Finding no fault with the estimate, I paid the deposit. From that point, I received two check-in emails from David, and one phone call to confirm the move, the items to be transported and the moving time (between 8 am and 9 am). I really appreciated the email check-ins, since, it is so much easier for me to read and respond to emails/text messages. I had also asked that the moving company be mindful not to share my new address with anyone. The company showed wonderful discretion and on the move work order sheet I noticed that there was a special note addressing my request. On moving day, I received a call from the driver, Gustavo (I think), just before 8 am, informing me that they would arrive at my home at 9 am. However, the movers arrived early (which was great) and had all of my items moved out of the house within 30/35 minutes. My transportation to the new home was not scheduled to arrive until 30 minutes after the movers were finished, however, Gustavo came up with an excellent solution. The movers were incredibly pleasant and efficient. I forgot to mention that on the day of the move it actually started to hail and later, that morning it began to snow. Therefore, I was impressed by the thoughtful attention paid to placing a blanket down to cover the threshold of my new home. Every time they entered the home they wiped their feet on the blanket to minimize tracking any dirt into the home. Moving can be a stressful experience, however, the professionalism the friendliness displayed by all of the employees, that I interacted with helped make this experience easier.

I chose Perry Moving Services because of their glowing reviews on Angie's List. Unfortunately I did not experience the same level of service from this organization. I was originally scheduled for a visit from an estimator who did not show up at the time agreed upon over the phone. He was sick that day, and did not call me to let me know he was not coming. I should have walked away at that point, but was impressed by Sam Perry who visited my home and gave me the estimate. After his visit, I decided to move forward with Perry Moving Services. David in their main office was very patient with me because I had to push back our moving date twice due to the closing of our home not being held on the scheduled date, and our pre-planned vacation out of the country. I would like to thank him for his patience through that process. The inside sales staff at Perry Moving Services is very punctual and understanding. On the day of my move, we had four gentlemen arrive at my home and start work once we walked through the property. They were very energetic at the start, and it slowly declined during the day. I contracted Perry Moving Services to move a 1200lb safe (which they were confident they could move). They waited to make this the last item in the new home, at the very end of the day and I feel this was a big mistake. I now have a 1200lb hunk of steel that does not work, and am waiting on parts to arrive to have a local dealer repair my safe. If you have a large safe that needs to be moved, I would encourage you to look somewhere else. They were undermanned to complete the safe move, and I had to help them on several occasions to get it in the house. My largest frustration comes from how I was charged for the move. I would approximate that I paid for 1-1.5 hours of moving time where the movers were attending to the engine of one of their moving trucks. The smoke coming from the engine compartment was so bad that it broke down on my street and it was blocking local traffic. They had to fill it with water three different times (to keep it from overheating) and needed to call a tow service to attempt to repair the truck onsite. I was not credited this time on my final invoice. I understand that vehicles will have unforseen mechanical issues in the field, but I feel this was not handled in the correct manner. I should not be paying for these movers to work on engine in their truck. I ordered food in for everyone so that they would not leave for lunch and keep working. Unfortunately they ran late (due to working on the truck), and were moving items in the dark (including my 1200lb safe). I have unpacked the majority of the items that were moved, and nothing was broken (I spent a lot of money on bubble wrap and double wrapped anything of value or that was fragile?. I am disappointed that they managed to scratch the four glass desktops I have (which were removable from the desk). I was told that they would be put back together when we arrived at our new home. When the movers left, I saw the four pieces of glass in a corner, and knew that something had to be wrong. The four pieces of glass have deep scratches and now look terrible. It is obvious to me that they did not wrap them separately and I will probably have to purchase two new desks for my home office. I know the reviews for Perry Moving Services are extremely favorable, but I don't feel that I received the same level of service from this organization as others have in the past. Everyone has a bad day, and I understand that we don't live in a perfect world. But I cannot give these guys a good recommendation for friends/family who are looking for moving services in the future.

OUTSTANDING, OUTSTANDING!!!! From our initial meeting with their sales rep, Diane to the actual move on 12/13-15, everyone and everything was just great!! Between the 2 days, 4 professionals (Al, Tim, Paul, and Allan) came to our home(s) and did a wonderful job. We had 4 "gentlemen" working with and for us, and I would invite these guys into my home at any time!! They moved furniture and boxes from a 3 level townhome quickly and efficiently without a single mishap or blemish to any of the walls or interior of either home. Whenever necessary they would consult with us on a particular piece of furniture or artwork to make sure that everything was wrapped as required. Just an OUTSTANDING JOB!!! EXCELLENT local company and one I would recommend to anyone needing to move. I would call these guys again in a "New York Second" Thanks and Happy Holidays, Mike Farrington

I give top marks to the Perry team. Having dealt with other moving companies in the past, these folks are a cut above.
Description of Work: We chose Perry based off reviews from Angie's List. We were not disappointed. We were moving from Maryland to North Carolina, and we contracted with them to handle the moving (we handled the packing). Sam Perry came to our house and did a room by room walk-through and inventory, then provided a binding estimate. By the way, you should do your research on the difference between a binding estimate and a non-binding estimate so you know which you prefer. A binding estimate was appropriate for our move. We made the reservation for the move about a month in advance. During the intervening month, we worked with Tara as our move coordinator, who answered questions and handled the details of pick-up date and what we needed them to handle versus what we would handle ourselves. Also, Perry will give you free used boxes if they have any available. You just have to go to their warehouse and pick them up. I picked up probably 50-60 boxes and it saved us a huge amount of money versus if we'd had to buy them. On loading day, the crew leader was Al Washington, and he was top-notch. He led the 3-man crew to do the inventory, disassembly of furniture, and the loading. He answered all the questions I had. The crew did a great job being careful with our stuff as well as protecting the walls and floors. They wrapped almost every piece of furniture in blankets and laid walking paths on the floor to protect the carpet. There was no standing around or any waste of time. The crew was all business and got it done as fast as I think it could be done. This crew also handled the delivery, and they actually arrived ahead of schedule. I actually had to hustle down to NC to make sure I was there to let them in the new house so that we didn't waste any of their time. Al and the crew were great with the unloading as well: fast and efficient. They protected the hardwood floors and carpets with walking paths as before.

I chose Perry Moving and Storage based on the reviews here. I was frustrated with the office and their responsiveness with getting back to me on the quote, then following through with emailing me the service contract. That made me nervous about the moving day but when the 3 men showed up and did such an excellent job, I was happy. They were courteous, friendly, fast and efficient. They treated my belongings with care and wrapped everything very well.
Description of Work: They moved me from a 3 bedroom apt to a 2 bedroom apartment in the same complex.

The first part of our move went great. The three man crew came on time and were extremely careful with our items. The estimator did under-estimate our items and we almost needed a second truck. Luckily, the crew was able to fit everything in and the price estimate was right on. We didn't see our items until we moved into our new house. The crew we had was different that our first crew (due to my mistake of requesting the wrong name) but they were on-time and also good. I don't feel like they were as careful with our items and some boxes were put into the wrong rooms but they did get the job done and did a good job at it. We had a couple items broken and a missing box. Rich Perry, the owner, came to our house, and addressed our concerns. Our chair was fixed within a week and we were compensated for the broken items and missing box. They really went out of their way to make their customer happy. I would use them again.
Description of Work: We used Perry Moving to move out of our house, put items into storage at their facility and move into our new house 5 months later. We have also used Perry Moving 6 years ago and had such a great experience we decided to use them again.

The experience was great. A crew of three moved my stuff. They arrived on time, and were on estimate. I was not aware of any damage to my stuff or to either townhouse. When the move was over, we called the office and said that we would use the same crew when we moved in the future. We are actually moving in a few months, and we will use Perry moving again.
Description of Work: I needed to move from one townhouse to another townhouse. I called several places. Sam came to my house to give me an estimate. It was right on. One real perk is that they will give you used boxes, provided that they have some available. I called ahead, and went over and probably picked up 50 boxes. That was really easy, and a money save.

Fantastic. Everyone I dealt with in this company was polite and extremely professional. The movers were great guys and very careful with our belongings. They even helped me pack up some last minute odds and ends which I really appreciated. I took advantage of a great service they offered at the time where they would let you have free recycled boxes if you picked them up at their facility in Jessup. One of the owners saw me outside picking through the boxes and came out to help me find some good ones, then loaded them up in my car. The quote was accurate as well. Would not hesitate to use their services again--I highly recommend them.

It went very well. Perry sent out an estimator to provide a written estimate of the cost of the move four days before the date I wanted the move scheduled. The estimator, Alvin, showed up on time and performed a detailed walkthrough. He said he has been doing this work for 30 years and provides an accurate estimate, and he was not lying. The estimate he provided was within $60 of the actual total. They were also able to get me scheduled quickly for a day I wanted to move, which was on the week of Thanksgiving. They arrived Monday morning around 9, which was at the midpoint of their estimated arrival time. The three man team did a walkthrough with me to verify all the items they were moving; they got to wrapping and moving right after. I had several glass pieces and several pieces of framed art. They did a great job of crating it, and they all got moved without a scratch. In fact, all of the furniture and items moved arrived without incidence. The estimator originally estimated 8 hours total for the move, and the team was able to get it done a little faster than that. I was very pleased with the work. I was also impressed that for a time & materials job I was able to get such a good estimate. I would definitely use Perry again, and I will recommend them to friends and neighbors.

I called the office and they set an appointment for Diane Oliver tro come out and give us an estimate. She called the morning of the appointment because she was early and wanted to see if it was OK to arrive early. She opened her computer and we walked each room so she could inventory our items to be moved. The price was 1650.00. On the day of the move, they arrived with two trucks and four movers. Ricky Williams, Mark Butley, Byron Lee and Markie James. They were all very professional, friendly and ready to work. We toured the rooms and they went right to work. Throughout the move they checked with us and showed us things that were questionable so there would be no issues with loose legs or damages. When we reached the half way point of the move they alerted us that if they moved some extra items we would go over the time estimate. We agreed on a time to leave and they finished loading and we drove to the new home to unload. Everything continued to go well ans we could not be more pleased with Perry Moving. When everything was unloaded they folded the pads, cleaned up and added the bill. It was 30 minutes over the estimate. Our estimate was 1650 and the bill was 1720.00. After the move my wife and I drove to Royal Farm Store to get some chicken. On the way home we were discussing the day and both agreed it was stress free move. We have moved 4 times and this was by far the best. I would recommend Perry Moving to anyone. They were the best.

Diana showed up on time on the appointed day for an estimate and walked through the house with us asking questions and giving us some tips. The estimate seemed reasonable but we had 2 other companies coming so we said we would call by the end of the week. When we called on Friday, Diana checked to see if the three dates we needed to make this move happen were available. She told us our contact person from then on would be, Tara, who called the following Monday to check on the dates and give us payment options. On the day of packing, November 19, a crew of 4 men arrived on time dressed in Perry uniforms. Each man introduced himself and shook my hand. The five off us did a whole house walk through so that we were all on the same page as to what was being packed and what wasn't. Then they got to work. It was obvious that this team worked together often since they all knew what their job was and bantered easily back and forth. It was a pleasant experience having them in my home. The time passed quickly. I then did a final inventory with the team leader, Don, I believe his name was. He explained what the movers would do the next day and asked if I had any questions. Again each man shook my hand and wished me luck in my new home. The next day a team of 3 movers arrived, again, on time, in uniform, hand shakes and introductions. We did the walk through and they got to work. Having moved so many times with the military, I had to tell them that I had never had my furniture handled with so much care. Hardwood floors were covered, the front door was covered and all precautions were taken to protect my home and furniture. I was not at the new home to accept delivery the third day but my husband was and he was impressed with the professionalism of the team. We would recommend Perry's moving and storage to anyone who has an upcoming move. We would use them again without hesitation. Thank you, Perry moving for making this our best move ever!
Description of Work: My husband and I were moving from Maryland to Delaware and need our household goods packed and moved. Our home is approximately 3100 square feet. Since we are former military, we had always depended on the military to arrange our moves. We had some very bad experiences so since we were arranging this move ourselves, we went on Angie's list and did some research. We were impressed with prior Perry customer comments. We had 3 estimates total and decided on Perry's. We were not disappointed!

When they came, all the men walked in and introduced themselves, including the bossman who said he was responsible for the job. He put me at ease and the day went great from there; exhausting but great. It was a long day and my stuff was heavy. The bossman was surprised that I had everything boxed and labeled already. Maybe we boxed up one or two more. I bought pizza for everyone and didn't mind at all, no one asked, I was out and just got it. There were a number of antiques that they wrapped and hopefully will be as careful taking to FL. as they were taking them to Perry's storage facility. I pay a monthly storage fee of $400 and considering how much stuff I have I think that is a fair price. They are too far away from Silver Spring to get boxes and tape from, so don't expect them to supply that. I needed so many boxes and packing materials that I went to Home Depot and purchased everything I needed over a several month period. I know I might sound like the boss's daughter, but we're an academic family and have moved many, many times and never did anyone take such care of our things. Of course the unpacking might be more problematic, but so far, Perry has been more than great.
Description of Work: I sold my house and Perry Moving is storing my goods until I buy a place in FL. So they moved and are now storing my things. As I am downsizing from a 4 bedroom house to probably a condo, all the furniture, art work, tables, etc. are those that I am keeping and are valuable. The junk has been thrown out. I boxed up most everything, but Perry boxed up the computer, and large paintings. I have moved several times in my life, but never have I had such careful men, wrapping up in plastic anything that wasn't in a box. Whether it was a small side table or a standing lamp, everything not in a box was wrapped with plastic. The screws for each item is in a plastic bag taped to the item. I work with glass and there were very heavy boxes with sheets of glass to be brought up from the basement. Even 2 or 3 sheets are heavy, and they carried these up from the basement. They will be moving my things down to Florida when I am ready and put every screw back in it's place. I'm sorry I can't remember exactly how much they charged me, it was several months ago, but they weren't the most expensive. Considering the care they took with my things, they were worth every penny. I was going to write a review after I got my precious secretariet (with unreplacable rounded glass) down there, but Angie's List asked for a review now.

It was a very positive experience overall.
Description of Work: Perry's able men arrived at my Woodley DC shared home, parking expertly in a difficult street, and immediately got to work in a friendly, professional manner. We first reviewed all the piles and talked about fragile vs. heavy vs easy items. They were systematic and professional, checking in with me throughout the course of the hour or two they were there. They secured my items with care--this was important as I actually didn't have enough to fill the van and items could have flown around. They drove to Fairfax and unloaded everything carefully, again checking with me as they went along about best places to put things and so forth. We were done again within several hours.

They did not disappoint. As they had done with our move from our prior home to our apartment, they completed the job well sooner than their estimate, saving us money. The staff was professional from start to finish. They took extreme care not to damage ANYTHING. Walls, doors, you name it, they avoided it or set up protection to secure it. NOTHING was damaged. Not a thing. They were always courteous, didn't waste time, didn't look for any up-sell. They did everything we needed, the way we needed it. They verified that every room was set up exactly as we wanted, even suggested ideas where we weren't sure, like our living room. They arrived in the window they promised. I knew back when we first moved with them that when the time came, they were the company to trust. I would recommend them to anyone, any time.
Description of Work: Perry Moving completed a move from my third floor apartment in Frederick, MD, to our new house in Frederick, MD. It was a local move, but involved a combination of some very heavy and complex items (like a treadmill they were able to move without breaking down) and a house with winding stairs, and some very tight spaces. The house is a townhome with three levels.

I hired Perry Moving because of the consistently high ratings they were given on Angie's list; the time Diana Oliver, their Customer Service rep) spent estimating our job (2.5 hrs! She even crawled into the crawlspace in the basement! I won't even go in there.); understanding our needs; offering some cost-savings suggestions; and because they are family-owned. I can't say enough about their level of care, their respect for our possessions and our home, their professionalism, their attention to detail, and their ability to stay focused on the job the whole time. But what impressed me most about the movers was their understanding of teamwork. Each one of them was given a specific job or area of responsibiilty to cover, and they went after it full tilt. They asked the right questions at the right time, insisted we take care of ourselves, and handled all our possessions with the utmost care. They helped each other out and made countless trips up and down stairs hauling heavy furniture and boxes. Nobody raised his voice; nobody led with his ego; nobody complained. I was astounded. These days it's hard to get a salesclerk to look you in the eye and thank you for purchasing a magazine. Yet, here were these guys (including Rich, who was there doing the same work with his guys on each trip) who were doing the most difficult kind of labor all day and showing everyone the meaning of pride in their work. Perry Moving should be very proud of their entire team. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed that such a company existed: a Made in America company that should be held up as an example to other companies, in and out of the industry, I will certainly use them again and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I hired Perry Moving for our move from Arnold, MD, to Timonium, MD, about an hour's drive. Perry Movers loaded our belongings onto the trailer on the 17th, kept the contents on the trailer secure that night, the next night, and then delivered it to our new house in Timonium on the 19th. We moved from a 2-story, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath colonial with a basement and large crawl space to a 3-bedroom, 2 bath rancher with a full basement. The loading and unloading each took about 6-7 hours. The contents included solid wood master bedroom furniture, a refrigerator, a freezer, and a treadmill, as well as a very fragile grandmother's clock, pendulum, and weights. My husband and I had intended to do all our packing ourselves, but two days before our belongings were to be loaded and before we were finished with packing, my husband had a serious complication of a chemotherapy treatment and had to go to bed for 2 days. I called Diana Oliver and explained the situation to her. She called me back on her way home from vacation and sent a packer over the next day to help us finish.

I found Perry's Moving & Storage on Angie's List and read every review. As a result of the great reviews, I hired them to manage my move from Baltimore to Tennessee. Now I am adding my own "A" rating for this company. With all the horror stories out there about movers, I approached this process with a lot of anxiety. I didn't need to worry: everyone at Perry's lived up to their stellar ratings. From the in-home estimate to my move coordinator to the crew who loaded up my stuff, drove it to TN, and unloaded it in my new home, everyone I dealt with was totally professional, courteous, and friendly. They understood that moving is a hugely stressful event and they went out of their way to make sure I knew they were there to take care of everything. Which they did at a fair price. My move coordinator followed up after each stage to make sure everything went well. I would not hesitate to recommend Perry's to anyone planning a local or long-distance move. They did a fantastic job for me.
Description of Work: Perry's Moving & Storage managed the move of my household from Baltimore to Tennessee, including an in-home estimate, providing packing supplies (at no additional charge), coordinating all the move details, and loading, transporting and unloading all my stuff. The quote was for $1100 and we told them we did not want to see any hidden charges later on as we were warned from others this happens with moving companies. After the move, my creidt card was charged $1350 even though the signed contract read $1100. The movers did not take care with the furniture as many wooden pieces have damage now. I would not use them again.
Description of Work: They were only hired to take apart, move and put the furniture back together as we moved all the boxes in a Uhaul truck ourselves.

I liked that they delivered our things the next day. The packaging could have been better with the way they numbered the boxes. When they were unloading the boxes there was a lot of confusion as to which boxes went in what room. However, they were good and we had no problems at all.

I've seldom encountered a more fastidious, conscientious, and courteous team, from booking the engagement with David Lamb to the actual move itself with Bobby and his crew of two (whose names now escape me). David offered me free boxes and packing paper from his recycled stock about 10 days prior to the move. The team was punctual and efficient after they arrived. At one point Bobby strained his back while lifting a piece in my apartment. I felt momentary concern that the planned itinerary was in jeopardy. Instead, he took a couple ibuprofen, shook it off, and continued to work diligently. There was absolutely no damage to any of my goods... Only a few minor marks on the walls of the house where the hall was an exceedingly tight fit for a couple massive couches. I've worked with other moving crews who would have clumsily clobbered my house on a job like this, so I'm extremely satisfied.
Description of Work: Perry Moving moved my furniture and other oversized goods to my new house in Elkridge from two locations: An apartment and a 10 x 15 storage unit in Columbia.

Our family recently moved from Perry Hall to Bel Air. Even though we only used them for our large furniture pieces (we did the boxes ourselves), Perry Movers treated us as valued customers. They were on-time, professional and courteous from our initial estimate through the completion of the move. Every step of the process was handled well-- estimator was on-time and worked quickly, Perry Movers called prior to the move date to confirm date and time of arrival, and on the moving date the movers called again to let us know they were on the way. The truck was super clean, movers were friendly and attentive to each piece that was moved and upon arrival they confirmed where everything should go. We would highly recommend Perry Movers to anyone with an upcoming move and would definitely use them again ourselves in the future.
