First of all, they were on time. They were knowledgeable about their business. This was by far the best move I've had in my military move. There was virtually no damage. The owner of the company actually participated in the pack out of my goods and services. They were shorthanded and he stayed the whole afternoon, I found that to be extraordinary. The service was excellent.

This was our first time using a moving company and we thank God we decided to use Perry Moving. Their moving staff was knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and quick. The tools they use are amazing. They securely package and move your items with ease. As long as I am capable of doing so, I will never move on my own again. I highly recommend using Perry Moving & Storage.

the We are very pleased with our moving experience thanks to Perry. We had been in temporary housing, so our move was a bit more complex. The crew arrived on time on our scheduled day. They were careful and meticulous with all of our belongings. They packed up our items we were using at our temporary home and then went to our storage area to collect the remaining items. Everything went smoothly on packing day. Since we were moving 85 miles away, the packed truck was locked and placed into storage for the night. The next day, the crew and the secured truck arrived right on time. The crew was very patient and enthusiastic throughout the day (and the numerous trips up the steps). I would gladly recommend this company to anyone who is in need of a mover....We would use them again (but I'm not planning on moving from my new beautiful home).

Perry moving took a lot of frustration out of the move, Diana was right on target with how many men were to be used, they went above and beyond. They were professional and we had a great experience. The estimate went over a little.

Outstanding service from start to finish! We required the move to begin in 2 weeks and to be stored for up to 4 months, then moved to Massachusetts from Virginia. The initial call to Perry Movers was answered quickly by a real person who immediately connected me to the estimator. We scheduled a walk through for the estimate and the estimator arrived on time, answered all questions and completed a comprehensive estimate then and there. Upon selecting Perry and finalizing a move date, the movers arrived on time, we're very friendly, professional, and caring. They worked very hard and packed up in one day. The cost to move into storage was actually ~$1,000 less than the estimate! I was very comfortable with this great team!!! A week later, we found a house in Massachusetts and had to move in within 4 weeks and Perry accommodated this tight move schedule! We asked for a move date and Perry had no problem accommodating that date. The movers arrived on time and the move coordinator kept checking the truck's GPS and called us several time to let us know where the truck was! The move into our new house was just as professional and caring as the move into storage from our previous home. The movers spent a lot of time setting up to protect the carpet and hardwood floors, they took apart all of the furniture and beds and put them all back together again and ensured that all beds, furniture and carpets were positioned where we wanted. Every Perry employee from the person who answered the phone, estimator, the local move coordinator, the long distance move coordinator, the truck driver, and each of the movers was very responsive, professional, caring, friendly, and great to work with. They made this difficult and emotional move as comfortable as possible. When unpacking, not even a light bulb was broken!!! Perry Moving was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would use them again and wholeheartedly recommend them with NO reservations whatsoever! Diane came by and gave me an estimate to move my stuff. She arrived on time and clearly knew what she was doing. After a quick walkthrough of my home and a description of what I was going to pack vs. what I was going to store she gave me an estimate and we scheduled a date for the move. I packed everything myself, though they will also pack your stuff for you. On moving day, the movers showed up on time and got to work. They took great care of my furniture (including building a special box for my 60" plasma TV). Everything made it without any major issues. Definitely consider them for your next move!

It was the smoothest move we have had. All our furniture and possessions arrived on time and without damage. The price was guaranteed, the people were hardworking, courteous, trustworthy and respectful of our time and family needs. They have the large company knowhow and organization with small company personal service. I would recommend Perrys Moving to anyone whether its a small local move or long distance.

I called two or three other moving companies and this company was the most professional. The estimator that they sent out, Diana Oliver, was on time, professional and was just a great representative of the company. She walked through the house with me and appreciated the challenge of my move because I was moving some pieces of furniture from every room but not others. She was a great listener and gave me some terrific suggestions. She then sent me a plan for the move which I agreed to. When moving from state to state, you have to pay more to have one truck dedicated to your goods only. It's more expensive, but there's no unloading at the warehouse and will help to avoid damage. Diana was available to me at every turn. They predelivered packing materials to me, they came when they said they would and the moving team of three guys was terrific. They were very professional, efficient and careful. The team in FL were also very good, they were also veterans of the company. In all of the move there was only really one casualty. One of the arms of a dining room chair was broken off. One of the movers called the owner, Rich Perry, and they took the chair back to Maryland and repaired it at their cost. They brought it back a few weeks later and it was repaired absolutely perfectly. I definitely plan to use them again for moving. They did a terrific job. They are a family owned company that uses seasoned employees and they care about their reputation.

.Things on both ends of the move went very smoothly and efficiently -- from packing up contents of our home into boxes identifying the rooms; to unloading everything in NYS. There were no glitches or surprises. The movers did a fabulous job! We were very pleased!.

Literally as the truck was pulling away from our new home, I found myself calling the owner of Perry Movers to tell him what a good experience we had. It is true - you get what you pay for. Their pricing was in the middle of the estimates I obtained, but wow - what good service. Both crews (pickup, and then our delivery some weeks later) were professional, friendly, clean, helpful. Before they left, they seemed genuinely interested in making certain we were happy - did we want any items placed differently, etc. In a time when "average" (at best) customer service is what we've come to expect, it was a pleasure to be surprised at their "old school" approach to customer service.

This was the second time that we have used Perry Moving and the experience was as great this time, 9 years later. Diane provided excellent service in doing a walkthrough of our home and providing a detailed estimate. Since we were downsizing I really appreciated the format of the estimate plan that provide both a summary of the items to be moved as well as a room by room listing. This made it easy to go around the night before the move and mark furniture and other items that were not to be moved. Our movers Markie and his team arrived on time, were professional- yet interacted with us in a way that was very comfortable and enjoyable removing much of the "moving day stress". The care taken with our furniture, some of which was handmade by a family member and very heavy, showed the team's experience and commitment to caring for our possessions. The move into the new condo went smoothly and the team was able to navigate some tight hallway turns expertly without a single mark on the newly painted walls. They also laid down a protective wrap on the new carpet which protected everything. Overall this was an excellent experience, and the total cost in the end was about $300 below the original estimate. Great Job Guys! We expect to use Perry Moving for our next move in a couple years to South Carolina.

From start to finish the move was great! We self packed most of our smaller items and the moving company did the rest, 172 items in total. During the far move not one item was lost or broken.

The truck and men arrived on time and cleared the house in a timely fashion. At the other end they put some boxes in our finished attic, up some narrow stairs which was a boon. I could not have gotten those boxes up there all by myself. They did what they said they would do and finished ahead of schedule.

This was the first time that either my wife or I had moved out of state. Both of us long-time residents of DC, we were relocating to Boston for work and began our search for a moving company via google searches. These proved disappointing as an email address was needed to complete any inquiry and then the address was broadcast to 10+ moving companies who then hounded my email for weeks and this continues until today. We looked on Angie's List and explored Perry's Moving and called for a quote. From the very first call the experience was honest, prompt, professional, and comforting. An out-of-state move is stressful and enough of a hassle as is. It was a blessing to feel that we had a partner in this that we could trust. And Perry's lived up to that trust. Every person we engaged with, from the estimate to the last box hauled, was courteous and professional. Our belongings were put onto the truck promptly and at the exact time that we were scheduled. The process was actually a little quicker than we were told. Our belongings arrived in Boston just two days later (we moved just before the end of the month), exactly when we were told they would and the load in crew proved to be as hardworking and professional as was the DC-based team. In the entire move our belongings were taken care of and were protected. In all, we only lost one teacup to breakage and that was because my older brother decided that a bag of powdered sugar was an appropriate protective wrapping (I'm not going to miss a chance to zing my brother!), and this does not reflect upon Perry's as we did all of the packing ourselves. We have a lot of fragile antique items ranging from exceptionally breakable 78 rpm records to glass-doored cabinets and art. Every single piece was handled with care and packed securely on the truck. And at the end of the move our belongings show not a scratch from the process because of the efforts of the Perry's team. As a note, there was a coupon on the internet that offered something like $200 off. We presented this and were told that it was a third-party coupon that Perry's was trying to remove from circulation and that it was not valid. When I spoke about this with the booking agent she was understanding of our expectations as she had dealt with this before. The estimated price had already been discounted by her supervisor before we presented this coupon and so I agreed on good faith not to press the issue and to pay the estimated cost. It was already a very competitive price and in-line with what we hoped to pay. I feel that our money was well spent and that the Perry's team earned every cent. Quite simply, I was very impressed with the entire experience and to repeat a comment from above, I really felt like we had a moving partner that we could trust. That is a rare and beautiful thing to feel about a service company! Would we use them again? YES- We would not bother to call another company because the service they provided was so excellent. Perry's never showed. They never called to cancel the appointment either. If a company can't even be reliable enough to keep an appointment for an estimate, then they definitely cannot be relied upon to arrive on time for a move. I didn't bother to follow up, as I knew I would want a different company.

We were scheduled to move between 8-9 but the company called the day prior to move the time to between 12-2. Overall, the movers were ok. But when moving one of our sofas, they caught the back of it on a nail and put a hole in it. Our sofa was already in rough shape so one more hole wasn't a big deal to us but they were very careless when they were moving it. Not to mention the movers didn't say anything about what happened. At the beginning of the job, they started at 12:30 but when it came to billing they moved the time to 12:15 saying they could only bill in 30 minute increments. They were also going to charge us for an hour and a half of travel time when we were quoted an hour. I did mention this and they did change the billing.

This is the second time we have used Perry movers, and were just as pleased. Unlike the first time, we also had them pack our stuff. Sam came out within a day to give us a price estimate for the move, and an estimate for packing. We decided to do both. The movers came on time on both days. We did not have any problems with either the pack or the move. In fact, the work was completed a little early, and therefore, we paid less than the estimate. I want to say it was a $100-200 less. When we were done unpacking, we scheduled a debris clean, and the movers came and picked up the empty boxes.

Perry Moving & Storage is fantastic A+ 10,000 times over. Diane, who came to out house was honest and easy to talk to about how much the move was going to cost and helped me to reduce the cost of moving by things that we can do so I greatly appreciated that. The workmen that came were so pleasant. We have young children and they move fast but respectful. Nothing was broken in our entire move and it was a large move. I actually enjoyed their company because we were working alongside them and it was just so easy. It was very, very good. We haven't got one bad experience. I have referred them to a few people.

Incredible service! They made moving almost enjoyable. We were given a free estimate promptly after notifying them of our interest. We received follow up calls the week prior to the move letting us know what to expect and to answer any questions. On moving day, our crew arrived on time and got to work. We were moving 1/3 of our belongings into a 3rd floor apartment and the rest into Perry Moving's storage facility for 6 months while we looked for a house to buy. Every item that went into storage was inventoried and written down. The floors were covered with protective pads and the crew didn't bump or scratch a single thing! We even moved a piano. The crew was amazing. They were literally running back into the house to get more stuff. They were each so friendly and we develop a comfortable rapport with each of them. This was a really nice bonus to have since moving is stressful and can be emotional. We would love to have the same crew when we move into our new house. These men worked harder than I could imagine; they had amazing work ethics. The monthly storage fee is similar to quotes I received from personal storage units, and the bonus is we didn't have to fill the container, which makes it even more valuable. The hourly rate is fair (it's not cheap to move a family) and worth every single penny! Perry will be moving all of our belongings again when we move into our new house, and it's great piece of mind to know we are working again with such a great company. We would use perry moving again in a heart beat and recommend them to everyone we know.

Perry Moving was fantastic start to finish. This company was a referral from my friend and realtor who used them for a move from MD to FL. I called them and they had an estimator out the next day who was polite, friendly, and accurate. I was so comfortable with the quote that I signed for service the same day. I must say I did not have the same experience calling other moving companies. Their hourly rate was also a little less then many of the large movers locally. The 3 men who came out to move us was there on time and worked diligently the entire time while taking good care of our belongings. Even when they had a challenge getting our large sofa up the stairs of our new home they were so determined that they hoisted it over our back deck and through the patio door to get it in. My wife and I were very pleased. We plan to use Perry Moving for our next move and may even pay them to unpack :)

Even though it was Christmas and New Year season, estimator and movers met all the agreed to times and pricing. The movers were courteous and hard working.

My fiance and I had a really great experience with Perry Moving. My fiance first used them in December to move out of his 2 bedroom condo, they also had his stuff in storage for about a month. Then in January when our home was completed, I called them back to schedule the move from my 2 bedroom condo. We also had to get his items out of Perry's storage and from a 2nd storage unit. The day called the day before the move to confirm and on moving day we had a team We had a team of three for the move - Rick, Daniel and Laurel. They were a really great crew. Very nice, polite, and professional. They worked quickly, but were careful with everything. They even moved some things that I asked to have moved at the last minute. After they finished with my condo, they went to to pick up items from the 2nd storage unit. Then they delivered everything into the new home. They put padding around the door frame and pads on the floor for protection. They even helped re-assemble bed frame and sectional sofa. So, nothing bad to say about Perry Moving. We had excellent customer service from everyone we dealt with. Hopefully I won't have to move again for quite some time, but if a I did I would call Perry Moving, and I would definitely recommend them to others.

They showed up on time with a spotless truck and a willing, professional team consisting of a leader and two assistants, all with positive attitudes. They were amazingly efficient in loading and unloading the truck. Nothing was damaged or even scratched, as they covered all furniture items, even those in less than perfect shape, with pads. My wife and I have used moving companies over twenty times, including local, national, and international moves. These guys were the best we've ever seen.

This is my second move with Perry Moving and they did a great job again! All of the 8 movers that came were very friendly and helpful. They put down plastic on the stairs and were very careful not to break anything. We have a lot of stuff and they were very helpful in getting everything where we wanted it even if it meant moving things a time or two. They also reassembled all of our furniture and beds that were taken apart to move them. Not a thing was broken and we were VERY happy with the service!
