The first day of the packout, they arrived 2 1/2 hours later than expected. The office staff seemed surprised by Washington DC traffic. The crew itself was great - professional, friendly, and fast. The next day, the truck arrived a day before expected, which was great and allowed them to split the heavy lifting. Due to uncertainty of delivery a couple weeks later in Charleston, we even worked with the office to have them hold our stuff and deliver when we wanted rather than have it go to another moving company and be at their schedule's mercy for delivery. However, something happened in the office that the expected delivery of 1 or maybe 2 July got delayed. When pressed a couple of times per day on the 30th, 1st, and 2nd, the officer staff we spoke with were extremely confused. They were unclear if our goods were on a truck, if so where that truck was, when it could be in South Carolina. Once again, the movers themselves made up for confused and too-busy-to-be-bothered office staff by being great when they arrived. They worked hard, moved our good where we wanted them, and removed the cardboard. I would use them again, but the office staff should value passing along information. Even bad news is better than confusion and the appearance of hiding something.

I highly recommend Perry Movers. We used them for our move to Canada and I could not imagine a more stress free experience. We interviewed 3 different moving companies and after meeting Rich Perry, his calm, professional and knowledgable demeanor won us over and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. Prior to move day, he was always promptly available to answer our questions. Then, they packed up our 3 story home in 7 hours and loaded it into the truck the next day in 4.5 hours. The truck left the same night and everything was unloaded by the next afternoon within 6 hours, including furniture and bedroom set up. Nothing was damaged or lost and their work was very clean. Rich Perry provides excellent customer service and clearly knows what he is doing. He was so efficient, organized, courteous, diligent and truly cared about the service he was providing. He personally drove the truck to insure things would go smoothly through customs at the Canadian border. After they left, we were unpacking and could not find one of our items and contacted Rich. He promptly called us back with the box number it was packed in and we were able to locate it. If you are looking for a smooth, professional, stress free move, please stop looking elsewhere and use Perry's Movers!

Excellent. Alvin came by our home to give us the estimate. It was more expensive than another estimate we had receieved, but we had a good sense he knew his game well and he advised us that he was being conservative. He also told us that if we wanted to save some money, do A, B, and C. So we did a few of those things in advance to knock off some of the cost. On June 15th, Tonya and Kenny came over and packed up the household goods. The next day, a crew of 4 came and loaded the truck, delivered the HHGs to the new home in Vienna, and unloaded in the same day. A very hot day, by the way. I've moved many times with the military - something always gets broken. Nothing got broken or damaged in this move. Great job! In the end, between Alvin's advice and the efficiency of the crew, our final cost came in about $900 below the initial estimate (keep in mind, that was due to some work and preparation on our end).

From the estimator who came to the personnel who moved us, we were very impressed. The movers, Alfred, Tony and Anthony were great. Everything was packed with care. They were very efficient and it was obvious that they were experienced and had no problems determining which items needed special care. When arriving at the new home, they placed everything in just the right place. They made sure the carpets and floors were protected. They were courteous and we were very pleased. This is our third move with Perry Moving, and each of the engagements was outstanding. As written in previous reviews, the process starts with friendly and professional individuals arranging the details and providing the estimates, and concludes with a superlative staff actually performing the pack-up and move itself. The moving crew is courteous, outgoing, efficient and extremely competent in accomplishing every facet of the move, with zero dings or dents for an entire household of furniture across three separate moves. As moving is usually an emotional event anyway, it's a significant benefit to engage with a company that "gets it" with regard to their care and dedication, leaving you with a feeling of confidence and lack of concern for your belongings. We still remember the names of each team, which says a lot about the way in which we were interacting with the crew -- a great experience and one that I would recommend without hestitation to anyone.

Despite some unexpected challenges on my end, the move went very well. Perry provided excellent customer service prior, during, and after the move. they answered some questions I had before the move, confirmed the time the day be2fore, called in the middle of the move to ensure I didn't have any concerns, and followed up the day after. The movers were very friendly and efficient. They arrived at 8:15 (8-10 a.m. window) and went straight to work moving things downstairs while I had to sort out with the city police how to ticket and tow a car parked in my temporary no parking zone. So they didn't waste time while we were sorting that out. It was raining that day and they did a good job protecting the floors (including new carpeting installed at my new residence) with cardboard or fabric coverings. They also were flexible at the move-in location since I had some renovation work being done there and they had to work around the workers present and a dumpster blocking part of the driveway. They did damage part of the ceiling moving furniture upstairs at the new residence but when I pointed it out, they immediately offered to go to Lowes to get the materials to fix it (but since I had a contractor already there, I just had him do it). Overall a good experience with one suggestion for improvement. They did take a 15 min break in the morning at the old residence, which is fine, but they didn't explicitly tell me before they did, so I for a little while I wasn't sure where they were or what was going on.
