Description of Work: They carefully wrapped my household goods, stored them for 5 months and delivered them to my new home. We had over 45r0 cartons, mainly because I specified that each lamp shade should be individually boxed. I recommend them highly!!

Description of Work: If I could give Perry Moving & Storage a higher grade than "A", I would. They were absolutely wonderful. Perry Moving completed an interstate move for me. I was not able to return to Florida to supervise the pick-up of all my possessions from the storage facility. The guys loaded up, were extreme gentleman, and kept my things as organized as possible given the fact that I wasn't there and they were guessing how I wanted things. The unload back up north was equally as wonderful. The movers were very accommodating and professional. Everything was accounted for and so far, not a single thing was lost or damaged. The office staff was great and the price was very competitive. Perry Moving worked with me in every way possible to make this move as easy for me as possible. I would definitely use them again for long distance or local moving.

Movers were on time, courteous & careful. They arrived 3 days later, making sure every item present & in place. Moving is a very trying experience, Perry made it a "not so bad".

Description of Work: Perry Moving was excellent from my first phone call until the door closed at my new address when the movers were finished. They completely packed my one bedroom apartment, stored everything until my new address was ready, then delivered exactly when I wished. They were thorough, gentle, polite, and handled my belongings with care, following all the arcane rules of my new condominium management. Description of Work: Perry moving was recommended to us by a family member. We moved from a Baltimore row house with SMALL doors to the suburbs. The movers were efficient and accommodating. Small doors and big furniture was not a problem for them. They were responsive and prompt. Would use them again and recommend to a friend.

Description of Work: Perry Moving and Storage is the best moving company I've ever dealt with. Over the past 30 years, I've moved approximately 6 times and no one by far can compare to the experience I had with Perry. From the very beginning when I first called and spoke with Diana, things progressed in a very professional, orderly and organized manner. Diana came out to assess what I had to move in the way of furniture, dishes, etc., etc. and then presented me with an estimate within a few days. I thought the estimate was fair and reasonable and gave her the "thumbs up" to proceed. Later I spoke with David, my move coordinator, who was very helpful in filling in all the details about when they would arrive and what they would accomplish each day. It was a two day process - one day for packing and one day for moving and my goodness did that crew hustle! A three man crew showed up on Wednesday morning (Gus, Doug and Lorrel (sp?)) and never have I seen three men work so hard and so efficiently. They were very pleasant and easy going but it never slowed them down! Bright and early the next day we finished up the last few items and were on our way to my new home. They were just as efficient unpacking and unloading as they had been the day before packing and loading the truck. They were very careful with all my things which I really appreciated and they even put down plastic to protect the new carpet as they unloaded everything. I was exhausted by the time we started to unload, but like the everyready bunny, they just kept on going, and even unpacked all of my wardrobes!!!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is contemplating a move. They were outstanding and very professional and polite as well. They made a very difficult task, so much easier!! Description of Work: I really wanted to like this company but had some problems. The rating is C not lower because the owner tried to help make up for the problems but other problems were not addressed. I made it clear from the estimate onward that I had health issues and was going to need extra assistance--for which I was quite willing to pay. One of the three-man crew complained, banged up furniture and walls, and insisted that I work quite hard in assisting with unpacking items at the new home--even though I had made it clear that I was under medical orders not to do so. I had specifically requested help in unpacking, some of which was provided, some was not. I complained the next day and was contacted promptly by the owner, who did send a female employee at the company's cost to assist with some of the unpacking and stowing of items I had hoped would be accomplished on the moving day. That was good. However, when I reported the damage to the furniture, I never received a response. Someone I know by a strange coincidence had the same three-man crew for a move several days earlier and found the same person on the crew to be difficult, so it was not my imagination that that person was a problem. And I made my specific needs known, which the owner acknowledged and said more assistance should have been given to me. The fact that they never got back to me about the damage --and I had purchased insurance--makes me feel that this is a problem company, despite their assertions that they put customers first. I can't recommend and would advise others to avoid.

Description of Work: I called a few months in advance which I thought would be an issue my contact person Diana advised that it was not an issue. Wow, Diana, I can only say one word, Superb. Great person to do business with. As for the day of my move Perry movers Al, Tim and Myron showed up, introducted themselves one at time and got right to assessing items to be moved,great guys! I must give my family and I credit as well. Most of the wrapping was completed as I wanted to make this simple as possible. The movers moved everything with ease and without any issues. I had two item that needed to to to the garage and that was not a problem at all. Overall the move went well..Thanks Angies list and Thank you Diana, Al,Tim, Myron and Steve !

Description of Work: Perry performed a full move for me from my three bedroom, one car garage, home in Silver Spring to a new home in Fairfax, VA. there are a lot of levels and steps in both locations and I have a lot of furniture. This was no easy move. I have probably moved 15 times in my life and this was, without a doubt, the best moving company I have ever dealt with. the movers were extremely professional, efficient, knowledgeable, experienced and FAST. the entire move took less time than expected, and came in below the estimated total. The men were courteous and careful. I cannot recommend a company more; they are really that good.
