Hydro Clean

We trust them because we have had them for so long. We trust the people that come in too. The price depends on how much they are cleaning. We have never had them do the whole house at once. They do a good job. We have no problem with the price. They use something to measure how many square feet they are going to clean. They usually tell us beforehand how much it is going to cost. It is probably competitive with anybody else. They are not late or anything. We will use them again in the future.

Two guys arrived, Dan and Mike, and immediately I knew I chose a great company, because they were on time, professional, and answered all my questions. They kept to their quote and their estimated time of about 2 hours. I will definitively be using their services again.

They did a very good job, and I would use them again. They were prompt, and were out of here very fast. They were a little expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Service was very good. The couch cleaning took the longest amount of time and was the most expensive. There were two technicians that came to my home. One did the couch and when that was finished the other did the floor. Not sure the need for two technicians since one just stood around until the couch was cleaned. The couch looked fantastic when it was finished. The carpet had a coffee stain that was not able to be completely removed. The stain was lightened, however. The technician took pride in his work and was apologetic that it did not come all the way out. No fault of his, the coffee just dyed the carpet.

I arranged for an appointment about 10 days ahead of time (it would have been sooner, but I picked a weekend day to have them come, and they said that requires more advanced notice), and they gave me an accurate estimate over the phone (I was accurate with the square footage of the area being cleaned on the phone, and that enabled them to give me an accurate quote). For weekend appointments, they required a $75 deposit, and I paid the balance after they completed the work. They said they would show up sometime between 8:00-9:00, and they showed up right in the middle of this window at 8:30. They were supposed to have two people to complete the job, but only one guy showed up. He said that he didn't know where his co-worker was, but he was able to complete the job by himself. The normal cost that I was quoted was around $250, but they had a special running that allowed me to receive a 20% discount.

They were lovely to work with. They showed up on time. They were able to get out some pretty nasty stains that I didn't think would come up. When they were finished, it looked like brand new carpet.

The workers arrive on-time and started work right away. They made extra efforts to clean the most stained areas. They seemed to stay beyond the time expected to clean the carpets.

extremely polite for last stop of the day. they pulled dryer from vent, attached blower - blew lint out, vacuumed dust on floor/walls before moving dryer back into vent. they only got a B for punctuality because they did not arrive w/in the prearranged 3 hour window, but the office and the technicians both called to say they would be late. when the job was complete, brandon held out his hand to shake it and i found a small card printed with psalm 118:14 left behind on the washer.

Spectacular! Contact with the company was professional and pleasant from the very beginning. The very capable Christian and his assistant showed up on time and all dealings were very professional. They got right to work, finished the job in under an hour and the results were, as I already said, spectacular. This carpeting is about 15 years old and had been through two cats with some issues with the resulting layers of spot cleaning over the years. Carpet cleaned up better that I ever expected... just amazing how clean it came out. Crew was great. Would recommend Hydro-Clean and Christian with no hesitation... great team!

It was great. My husband was happy with the person that was there and they did a fabulous job with the carpet. When we moved out the carpets were cleaner than when we moved in, they were very good. I think it was a little more trouble scheduling them, they called the day of to see if they could come a couple of hours later. It wasn't the best news, but everyone made it work. I think if we had given them more of a lead time it probably would have been better. I think they were trying to fit us in and it didn't go as hoped. My husband said the worker went quietly about his thing and worked quickly and was out of there. they were a little more expensive than some of the other places I researched. They kept us well informed of the schedule changes.

When the people arrived to get the water out of the basement, they had only a small generator and pump, clearly unsuitable for the amount of water to be removed. They explained that all the other large equipment was being used. They stayed about 2 hours. The next day they arrived around 10:00 a.m. Rather than using their limited equipment, they hooked my own sump pump up to their small generator, which did work somewhat. However, they determined that the drywall would have to be cut out, which they proceeded to do. They also ripped up all the carpet (wall to wall) and put it out onto my lawn, saying that someone from their company would come and pick it up. That never happened, and after a week, I had to pay someone else to come and remove it, and it had killed all the grass under the huge pile of carpet, padding and drywall that they left there. After cutting out most of the drywall throughout the basement (738 sq.ft. basement), they said I had "mold," and that they couldn't continue until I paid to have a hygienist come out (the supposed "mold" was 1 inch by 2 inches). I called several times to find out whether I could do the mold remediation myself, and the "boss" there told me I could, and that, once it was completed, they could then put their equipment in to dry things out. I called when this was completed and then, I got another story about how they couldn't put equipment in there in case the mold had gone up into the walls. At that point, I had no more dealings with Hydro Clean, and said that as far as I was concerned, we were done. Also, I had to pay the $500 insurance deductible directly to Hydro Clean on the very first day. When the insurance adjuster came on 9/16, I still had not received a bill from Hydro Clean. Two weeks later, I got a call from Hydro Clean, asking me when I wanted them to come and put their equipment in! Then, on October 4, Becky from the office called and said she needed my address so she could send the bill. I asked what the amount was, and when she told me, I was amazed. First, the insurance deductible was not taken off the bill; second, all the hours worked were charged as "after hours;" third, I was charged for the furniture being "moved out then reset," which did not happen. In fact, they did not even come back to put the furniture up on blocks, as they had said they would. And the amount of square footage in their total was impossible, given the size of my basement. At that point (October 6th), I wrote them a letter detailing all my concerns. Becky called to discuss it, and was quite rude. She had made the adjustment about the insurance deductible, but went on to say that all work is charged as "after hours," which the insurance companies agree to. She then went on to say that no one else had complained about the trash being left for 2 weeks ruining the lawn. She said that the "move out and reset" of the furniture was just "coded" incorrectly and that it should have been termed something else, but that it was still the same price. As a final note, she said, "You have to pay this bill within 7 days or we will send it to collections." I remarked that it had taken them long enough to send it--I only received it on October 4th. To not even have 30 days to pay from the date of the invoice is unreasonable. She was rude and brusque and made no attempt to address my concerns. I would never use this company again, and was very upset by this whole experience.

Hydro- clean put the house back to normal and made it look like new- no evidence of contractor boots, pet stains, pet hair or crayons on my furniture! I have used Hydro-clean several times in the past and will continue to use them in the future. They might be more expensive than other companies but I do believe you get what you pay for!

We took advantage of an Angie's list deal and are completely satisfied with the service and the professionalism of this company - from the the first call to the arrangements, Jean, Christina, Dan, Dave & Keith were wonderful folks with whom to work. I have no qualms recommending them to anyone for carpet cleaning.

Guys arrived, measured the areas, set up quickly and got to work. First sprayed cleaner deodorizer. They moved most of the furniture around and cleaned all areas of the stairs (tops, fronts and sides). Put foam cubes or plastic squares under feet of furniture. Lastly, sprayed Scotchguard. Completed entire job in about an hour. Everything looked really good and stains were removed, including a red wax candle stain on the stairs. The carpet did not look "brand new" but I have never had the carpet (Stainmaster brand) cleaned in the 8 years since it was installed. So, it looked as good as I expected and a whole lot better and cleaner than what I could have done with my home machine. They did miss one place under a piece of furniture that I expected them to move, but I was not micromanaging them, so they may have misunderstood what furniture I wanted moved and what I did not want moved. Overall I am happy and should probably do this at least 1 time a year to keep the kid and dog grime to a minimum.

I used one of the Angie's List Special Deals so I got a decent price to begin with. Hydro Clean folks were very professional and left the carpets looking almost NEW!!! Great Job; I did not think that the carpeting would ever come out that looking that clean. The worker led me through the process and even included services (since I had less carpet area to clean then what was offered in the special deal). The only issue I had was that they had to reschedule my initial appointment due to priority work left in Hurricaine Irene's wake (flooded basements and drying out carpet I'm guessing). But their scheduler was very professional and understanding in dealing with me on rescheduling. The company had given me a heads-up earlier in the week during the pre-Hurricane Irene preparation that this might happened. I guess when you do stellar work like Hydro clean does, then your services are in demand! Nevertheless, they rescheduled to my calendar and was very punctual. Count me as a Happy New Hydro Clean customer! Already planning to use them AGAIN!!

I visited the company in person. Everyone was helpful.

Although, the deodorizer helped enormously, it did not get rid of the odor completely. On the positive side, they were punctual and professional and tried their best to remove the odor. I would hire them again.

I had brought home a rescued dog with no housetraining and thought he had ruined my carpet. Hydroclean did a great job on the carpet.

Excellent. The technicians were on time. They looked ar difficult stains with me ( per stains high traffic) & did an amazing job. It was clear they took pride in their work.

My first contact was with the owner, Chuck Arnold, whom I contacted via email. He was wonderful and accommodating. He gave me a ballpark figure over the phone after I described the house. (He offered to come out and do an estimate, but because I do not have easy access to the home, (I am buying it), I was happy with just a ball-park figure. He gave me a $50.00 discount because I'd scheduled during their July special. Give him 5 stars. It seems that these days, customer service is not always a priority of businesses, so, I must say , Rhonda, the person who schedules everything and mans the phones, is wonderful and amicable and goes out of her way to be thoughtful and accommodating. Give her 5 stars. I scheduled over a month in advance, and I had misremembered the date. It was supposed to be 8-19-11, but I wrote down 8-18-11. Hydo-clean contacted me on the 17th, to make sure everything was a 'go' because I was having the vents cleaned in a home I was soon to purchase, as settlement had been postponed. I told them that I'd put 8-18-11 on my calendar, oops! When I looked through my notes and got back to them, I told them I'd marked it down incorrectly and was terribly sorry. Then, I drove over to the house to tell my realtor that it was tomorrow. When I came back to the rental, Hydro-clean had sent someone over on the 18th so that my plans wouldn't be interrupted! They are amazing! Mike and Howard arrived, we drove separately over to the home, and Howard examined the a/c unit which was in the attic on a hot day, and got right to work masking the vents and setting up the machine. They were very careful not to scratch walls or doorways with their equipment, which was quite compact. Howard, the foreman of the job, inspires confidence. He explained what he was going to do, asked if I had questions, then got to work. He is knowledgeable, polite, thoughtful, and professional. Give him 5 stars! Mike, the assistant, was quiet and soft-spoken, also very nice and professional. They worked well together. Howard did most of the talking. (I am deaf, but we communicated well). They did an excellent, excellent job. Give them both 5 stars! I think the job took 2-3 hours total. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves, and took all trash away with them. They showed me what they took out of my ducts, and I was so very grateful that they'd come! I purchased a custom micro-filter from them that will be sent to my home in 6 weeks, and which can be vaccuumed or washed and re-used for life to give maximum air-filtering. I appreciated knowing about that. There was absolutely no high pressure sales talk during my contact with everyone from the company. Hydro-clean is honest and hard working. This is the kind of company and people I would pay more a little more in order to have them work for me, as this kind of service and honest work is not always what is available out there. They also stopped back at my rental and picked up my oriental carpets to clean and and deliver. The carpet cleaning is something I have been wanting to do, but didn't want to just hand them over to anyone. So, most likely, I shall be commenting soon again on their carpet cleaning service. I felt that their work was just excellent, and see that they are offering a carpet cleaning service deal on Angie's list. I am going to buy that as soon as I finish this report, as my rental must be cleaned when I move out. I am very very pleased! I could not have asked for better.

The Hydro Clean technicians came on time and were very professional and friendly. The carpet had two coca-cola stains and both came out nicely. The carpet looks almost new after the cleaning and I am extremely pleased. I will certainly be using this company in the future and recommend all Angie's List members to give them a try.
