ULTIMATE APPLIANCE REPAIR

Discovered on the weekend that our older refrigerator was leaking and had gotten water all over the floor. I was a bit concerned, considering the age of the fridge, that I'd just have to replace it. Having had a good experience with Ultimate Appliance Repair before, I called them again. Dan came right out and quickly figured out that the valve that fills the ice maker was faulty and needed to be replaced. He had the part and put it in, tested everything out and got things running within 45 minutes. He also showed me what to do if something like that happened in the future so I'd be prepared. Dan is always congenial and explains what he's doing and why. I'm happy to keep calling him whenever I need one of my appliances repaired.

I had an excellent experience. Dan, owner of the business, came when promised, diagnosed the problem and did an excellent job in repairing it. Incidentally I had a previous repairmen who did not diagnose the problem correctly and recommended that it was not worth repairing. But it was definitely worth repairing. Dan was personable, honest and dependable.

Washing machine rocking violently during spin cycle. Called Dan late yesterday afternoon. He promptly returned our call this morning - and was able to come and fix the washer within a few hours. This was an extremely positive experience from start to finish. Dan is a professional who shows in every aspect of his work that he cares about his customers satisfaction. He answered all of my many questions and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently. It is such a pleasure to find someone so responsive - competent - professional and friendly. He is what everyone hopes to find when something goes wrong with any of the machines in our lives. His pricing was very reasonable and I definitely couldn't be more satisfied than I am with Dan and his work! It's SO nice to be able to recommend someone so highly! I called and got a return call promptly. We scheduled for him to come out in the morning and he arrived well within the window provided, and called to say he was on his way to give me a 15 minute heads up, which I really appreciated. Once he got into the job, it turned out that due to my floors and countertops locking the dishwasher into the cabinet, he couldn't pull it out. But because there was dirty dishwater in the bottom of the dishwasher, he couldn't just pull out the pump and fix it without sucking out all the water and dirt with a shop vac. He didn't have a shop vac on him so we made arrangements for him to return the following morning. He called again about 15 minutes before arriving and came in. He managed to get the pump out and found the cause of the problem and repaired it. Works like a charm now. But he also gave me some suggestions of how to prevent the clogging in the future. He was pleasant and professional and cleaned up after himself. I'd definitely work with him again and recommend him to others.

We called on a Monday. The call was returned two days later. My husband was told someone would get back to him either that day or the following day to do the repair. It is a week later. We are still waiting for the phone clal.

Dan was courteous and professional. I called in the morning and he said he would call back when he was between jobs and able to squeeze me in to look over the dryer. He called back in the afternoon and was able to stop by. He looked over the dryer and got it working again. He didn't have to replace anything since it was a couple of wires that may have been lose. But he did say it would break again and probably for good. Then we would be able to tell exactly which "thing" (my word) it was (I think it was either the timer or the motor). He charged just for a house call and I can call back when it dies and he'll come back out minus the house call fee. I really appreciate Dan taking the time to come look at the dryer and getting it to work again. I definitely will use Ultimate Appliance Repair again.

My refrigerator chose the morning of the day before Thanksgiving to stop cooling. Dan returned my phone call within 5 minutes of the time I left a message. He took details re the refrigerator (make, age) over the phone and asked questions about what it was doing (or not doing) then. He was here under 2 hours later-- he was able to squeeze me in between two other appointments. He had the necessary part on his truck, and the work was completed within minutes. Dan saved the day!! When I realized the refrigerator had conked out, I really expected I'd be spending Thanksgiving surrounded by coolers and dry ice. I was impressed by the prompt phone call in response to my message-- I'd barely hung up the phone! He juggled his schedule and was here in practically no time. He diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately. The feedback I'd read on Angie's List was spot on: this is one personable, competent, professional, and customer-focused businessman! It's not every day I need a large appliance repaired, but, without question, I'll be calling Dan the next time I do.

My refrigerator had developed a leak and the technician promptly diagnosed the problem and knew how to fix it. The part had to be ordered, but he installed it as soon as it came in and was able to accommodate my work schedule so I didn't have to wait around all day.

I feared that the compressor blew (15 years old). Dan checked out the problem, replaced a relay and announced the fridge/freezer cured. Work has a 1 yr guarantee but he said the unit is probably good for another fifteen.

he returned call w/i 48h (was late calling back b/c was out of town, and was extremely apologetic). scheduled service within 36h. arrived prompt. in addition to fixing the problem fairly quickly, he was very courteous to my wife, explaining everything, and reminding her of his guarantee that if the problem recurs due to a faulty repair, he'll come out and fix it for free. this is someone who clearly has pride in his work and seems to have the skills to back it up.

I called on 9/28/09 and left a message and received a call back in a few hours. Dan showed up promptly at the discussed time and immediately began to fix the problem. I was about to go out and buy a new washer and dryer and saved a lot of money since the total bill for repair was only $119 and was done within 30 minutes. Dan was extremely professional, very courteous and explained the problem and ways to possibly prevent it in the future. A+++ and I would recommend them to everyone! The work includes a one year guarantee as well! Awesome service!

I really liked the write ups and was eager to get work started on a rental's dryer as a test drive to have 3 appliances fixed at home. Called to set an appointment and waited for two days to get a call back. Exchanged messages with Ultimate (he was on vacation, I forgot my phone) but never spoke to a human and never got a date they'd start. After 3 wasted days, had to move on and actually get the service done to treat my tenants right. Rather than "Ultimate" service, I got "Poor" treatment. Pretty surprised by this given how happy people have been with them.

He is very personable, goes the extra mile, and seems to be reasonably priced. I chose him because he had good reviews. He is wonderful, and I am very happy with his service. I thought that the washer was not working at all, but it was not the problem. It was actually an electrical problem, and he really tracked it down to figure it out and was able to fix it. He always calls beforehand to schedule his arrival.

I was happy with the work. They came out quickly after I called and we haven't had any issues since.

The repair call went very well. Dan was very pleasant and informative. He tested the vent hood, found the problem and quickly fixed it. He checked the refrigerator and found nothing wrong with it and we had a good discussion about noises from refrigerators. He gave me some good advice as to what to listen for to prevent future problems. I also had him check the dishwasher (which was not in the original service call) to see if the bottom wash blades were working properly. Again, he found no problem and also provided me with some additional dishwasher information. I've learned a lot about my appliances that I didn't know before and will keep that information for future reference and, hopefully, fewer repair calls.

He gave me a discount because he wasn't able to fix on the day that he originally said. He is courteous and prompt. He is nice to deal with and talk to. He let me know what the problem was. He found the least expensive and permanent way to fix my problem. He is very knowledgeable about his work.

The door of our dishwasher started droping like an anvil. I knew we needed a repair service (more than diy) so I read the member reviews and, with so many A's, I thought I would give them a try. Dan called me back, took the model number, ordered the part, explained their fee schedule and said he would call me as soon as the part came in. When it did, he did. He came out the next day, installed the replacement part and was in and out in 45 minutes. He said his work was guaranteed (parts and labor) for a year. Very good experience from start to finish. Would defintely call him again.

Dryer was making unusual noise and taking longer to dry. Would not always start up. Based on what I described to Dan at Ultimate Repair he said that it was the motor. Dan was very punctual in ordering my part. He called me when the part arrived and we set up a service time for the next morning. Dan called the house when he was leaving his last appointment - arriving within 30 minutes of the estimated appointment window he quoted me the day before. Dan was very knowledgeable and familiar with working on older Maytag dryers. Within one hour the dryer was up and running like new! Nice person (and Company), to do business with. No hidden or surprise services charges, surcharges, or "add-ons". Finished job in the time he estimated it would take. His company saved me a lot of money versus purchasing a new dryer - they don't build them like this tank anymore!

I have used them before, and they were excellent the first time. That is why I went back to them for this particular repair. The are very responsive. They came out the same day that I called them.
