Great.

Friendly, smart, efficient, and more than fair, this was exactly the kind of service I joined Angie's list to find. When making the appointment, Dan provided all the basic information I needed about pricing and policies without my asking. I knew exactly what to expect. Dan arranged a quick appointment at my convenience (a specific time, not a range) and arrived promptly. With a 20 minute warning call, I was never wondering where he was. He was both friendly and efficient on arrival. He got right to the first repair (dryer) and had it diagnosed, explained, and repaired in about 20 minutes all while talking to me about what he was doing. While not a difficult repair, the efficiency and confidence of his execution was impressive. We then moved to the dishwasher. Again, he went straight to the problem spot and had it diagnosed in a couple minutes and repaired in a another minute or two. Frankly, he spent more time explaining what had happened then he did repairing it. When completed, he said he would not charge for the dishwasher repair as it was too simple. The bill: $65 for the trip plus $45 for the dryer labor and $20 for parts. It is his policy not to mark up parts. All work is warranted for labor and parts for a full year. He was here and gone in under and hour but I never felt rushed. It was a great experience from start to finish.

Dan was friendly and polite, telling me all he was doing and explaining what he thought had caused the problem. He didn't bill me for the oven job until he returned with and installed the ice maker and he billed it as one service call, even though he did come to my house twice. He also maintained that he was charging me the actual cost of the parts and though I have no idea what the cost should be, $75 seemed cheap for an ice maker to me. I may be wrong. In checking other sources I went to look him up in the phone book and could not find him listed. I mentioned it on the phone and he just laughed and said he was in the book. When the job was finished and I was writing him a check, I gave him my phone book and told him again I could not find him. I had one upset business man two minutes later. He could not find any listing and he told me about the phone book representative coming and how this year he had elected to pay ahead for the whole year. Also how this might explain why his accountant told him his business was down this year by about 20%. He left my house determined to call the company immediately.

I will use Ultimate Appliance Repair again, as well as recommend it to my friends. It is a small family run company and I dealt with Dan, who owns the company with his brothers. Definitely felt that this company has pride in their performance and want to ensure their excellent reputation. Same day service, excellent prices, cleaned area, honest. Got my dryer up and running in no time and gave me a price to fix my microwave that was hundreds of dollars less than what Sears quoted me. Also, the microwave was a free quote. Pleasant to deal with.

Dan asked particulars about the problem. Told me that he felt it was a water valve problem, and asked the model number of the refrigerator so he could order it and bring it out with him... rather than making two trips. If the water valve was not the problem, I would not have to pay for it. He told me up front what I would pay for his trip to my house, labor (did not matter how long it would take), and he would charge me his price for the water valve. At the house, Dan explained everything he was doing. He was clean and efficient.

Although unfamiliar with this off-beat brand (usually seen in RVs and boats), Dan applied his considerable knowledge of washers in general to the problem. We also called the importer's maintenance customer service and Dan spent considerable time on the phone trying to come up with a fix. He got it working correctly but without any definite malfunctioning part he could point to and say with certainty that it was the problem. Because of that, he did not charge me immediately for the work but asked that I call him if the trouble returned so that he could see first hand what was happening. It did, after working correctly for several loads, and he came back that very evening. Again he was unable to find a definitely broken part, but confident that the trouble he did find was the answer to the problem. He said he would charge me only for a single house call, $65, and true to his word the invoice he sent was for that amount.

Extremely pleased with the service. Very professional. Highly recommend.

After seeing a couple positive reports on him here, I sent an email inquiry on Sunday. Dan the owner called at 8:15am Monday. He was thorough and informative on the phone and we (thankfully!) arranged his visit the following morning. On the phone he explained how he billed, how he and his father and two brothers operated this company, that they did NOT mark-up any necessary parts, and in fact, could pass along his leveraged parts savings to me. In 10 minutes he had diagnosed and repaired the washing machine. He then furnished valued advice on the proper type of lines and connections to use to install my new icemaker. He completed this second task efficiently and very professionally. His final pricing was amazingly less than I had anticipated. In addition, Dan was enormously personable and caring about my appliances as if they were his own. I surely would call him again for any appropriate repairs or installations. What a dream! Probably the best service call I have ever experienced!

We contacted several companies to request a service visit and were unsuccessful until we contacted Ultimate Appliance Repair. I sent an email and within 24 hours received an email and phone call. Dan worked with our busy schedule and arranged an early morning appointment. Prior to coming he requested the make and model number of our refrigerator and ordered parts in advance to avoid a follow-up visit. Dan arrived on-time and replaced the circuit board and fixed an additional problem which took over three hours to complete. He was very professional start to finish. Outstanding service. Highly recommend and will contact in the future. Very refreshing to have such professional and dedicated service. Other companies contacted were either unresponsive and/or unprofessional. Ultimate Appliance Repair is a true gem.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH HOW QUICKLY HE RESPONDED AND HOW PROFESSIONAL HE WAS. HE WAS VERY HONEST ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE DRYER. HE DID NOT CHARGE A SECOND HOUSE VISIT CHARGE FOR COMING OUT THE SECOND TIME.
