Town and Country provided me a quote for driveway asphalt and a concrete walkway August 1st 2018. They were the highest quote but due to reviews and perceived professionalism, we chose to go with them. The walkway was so small they said it was their minimum cost. They said they could get us in the next couple weeks. We spent most of August going back and forth and finally got them back the last week of August to do the Driveway, but they said the weather wasn't cooperating to do the walkway. He asked me to pay for just the concrete and he would come back the next week ( 3 days later) for the walkway. The walkway was finally accomplished in December. All communication was initiated by me. The owner came out the day before the crew and drew a crude paint line of what I wanted for the walkway. He didn't measure, wasn't exact, etc. He said the crew would come and use that as a guideline. They finally showed up, dug everything out and poured the concrete. I paid the total bill before I could really realize what had happened. I contacted him within a day and asked if he had seen the final product. He said that he had and it was just as I told him. But, it was uneven width, the line of the concrete was curvy. The team had gone exactly by his free hand with spray paint. It ranged from 23 inches to 40 inches in width in different areas. He tried to convince me that I was person who wanted it that way. I told him I hired him because he bragged how professional and exact they were, and he said his team would "clean it up" from the drawing he did. I asked if he usually did these things free hand and relied on the customer to do QC of his work. He said that he would fix it, grudgingly. He said it would have to wait until first in the spring. Again, no communication. After months of back and forth, they finally started to respond September of 2019 to fix the problem. He tried to blame me and say it was my fault, that it was my design choice. (same as last year) He offered to fix it if I paid for the supplies, so I finally gave in because I wanted it done. They took forever to send the estimate, continued to just have no communications except when I asked if they were ever coming. Finally in November they emailed on Friday that they would "get it done this weekend" and came out early Saturday morning to accomplish. Its not a great still but at least its not completely unprofessional. I do not consider him to be professional. He has horrible communication skills and talked down to me trying to make me think his poor workmanship was somehow my design. Not to mention, all the extra money was supposed to be becuase they would prepare the ground under the drive/walkway way better than everyone else, but within 6 months there were 2 huge visible sinkholes that he fixed "even though it was due to my poor drainage." Never again.

They did an excellent job repaving our asphalt driveway. The work was done neatly and carefully. We had obtained several estimates, and theirs was the lowest. Our only complaint was about the responsiveness and communication regarding scheduling after we had selected them and given them a deposit.

The job was done very professionally. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend this company for asphalt work at your home. Clearly they know what they are doing.

Very friendly and easy to work with. Had to keep rescheduling the job due to weather and communication could have been better about it. In the end, though, workmanship was absolutely TOP NOTCH. Driveway looks beautiful and quality of work can be seen in finished product. Will hire the company again to do resurfacing and other hardscaping.

They were highly professional, honest, and hardworking. They repaved the driveway in just a few hours, returning to apply sealant two days later. We especially liked their responsiveness to any questions we had.

Communication was mainly through the Angie’s list app which was sufficient. The estimation process was simple and thorough. I had two other estimates and T&C came in as the cheapest. We accepted the quote and they were able to come and do the work a week earlier than planned which was great. It took about 4hours and I had a very nice new looking driveway. They even cleaned up well! Thanks!

Scott and his crew did an excellent job. They showed up on time as scheduled and ready to roll. My driveway had several areas that needed to be cut away and repaired before they resurfaced the entire driveway. The end result looks absolutely awesome! They even did a nice cleanup job afterwards. As and unexpected bonus they even got to do my neighbors driveway. I would recommend Town and Country to anyone that needs driveway work done.

I definitely recommend Town & Country Asphalt for any residential or commercial paving project. The quality level of service this company provides is outstanding.

Scott from Town & Country was very responsive to our requirements and came out twice to measure and give us not only his estimate - but also his suggestions on how to make the best extension of the existing driveway. The price was very reasonable and Scott was very courteous and responsive in his dealings. The folks to came to work did an amazing job. They come out with all the fancy equipment - as if they are laying down a new highway - and the crew works extremely efficiently. It helps that Scott stays on site all the time (he operates the Asphalt machine). They started work early morning, finished by evening and left the place all clean of every debris... even taking care to blow off the dirt from the parked cars. They not only built the driveway up and reinforced the sides, but also adjusted the grade to make sure there is no water logging anywhere. Our neighbors were so impressed with their work that the very next day TWO of them contracted Scott to resurface their driveways.

Scott had a lot to deal with with all the neighbors. Everyone had an opinion and a couple wanted to start trouble and we delayed the job by 2 days but Scott showed up everyday anyway so he was there when we were ready to proceed. He handled everyone well. He works 6 days a week, is here with his crew everyday at 7:30 A.M. and works consecutively until your job is finished. He's a hard worker, accommodating, and knows what he's talking about as I talked to probably 8 contractors and researched road building before we hire T&C. Thanks for the excellent work.

The driveway looks very good. They were very competitive in price. They did a great job. I can’t complain. They were quick to come out. They gave me a date but they could not keep it so they called me back and said that they will be here within the next two days depending on the weather and they were here. They were clean and neat. They cleaned up everything because they had to chop off stuff and hauled it away. They were here at the exact time they said they will be here.

The flagstone walkway was done beautifully- excellent craftsmanship and I personally witnessed the dedication of the workers, who installed walkway. It looks very good and gets complements from several of our guests. Only negative part was that the workers were not careful about the lawn surrounding the walkway, fortunately I was able to get it fixed with the help of our lawn service. The workers moved two heavy flowerpots from the landing to the yard. Scott promised to get them moved them back to the proper location. But after the work was completed and he collected the full payment, he was not responsive to my many calls to take care of it. In the end, I had to get help from others to move the pots. After service/payment responsiveness is definite a problem, which is likely to hurt the business' ability to get repeat work. After consulting with several friends and other service providers, I feel that this work was a little overpriced. But considering that I accepted the price and the quality of workmanship, I do rate the price as fair. The driveway coating was done professionally, without any spills over lawn or other parts of the house. While I am generally happy with the service, I do think that several cracks were not appropriately filled, as promised by Scott. I was not able to follow up with him since he never returned my calls following the service. The backyard patio work was an add-on and I requested that this to be included in the cost of project, which I already paid. Though agreed initially, Scott called to say that it involves replacing several stones and would take more than a day and wanted additional $550. Considering the quality of work from the walkway, I agreed to it. However, the work was done within a few hours and only a couple of stones were replaced. Though an improvement from the previous stage, it did not look like same level of effort was put on this task. I am marginally satisfied with this one. This company could benefit from following up on the work performed and making sure that the customer is completely satisfied.
