The Elite Service Plumber

Shawn and his team are efficient and use nothing but the best parts. I highly recommend them for all of your plumbing needs. What is most important is that The Elite Plumber was there for us when we needed them for emergency service on Memorial Day. I don't know what we would have done if Shawn had not returned the call. We had no water and the tank had been leaking non stop for several hours. None of the others we called from the Angie's List "A" list responded. In our minds, The Elite Plumber should be an A++.

I called on Friday to schedule an appointment for Monday. Somehow the appointment didn't get put on the calendar so I called back and the owner (Shawn) came out himself, late at night to resolve the clogged drain. He came back the next day and replaced the toilet. Shawn was very, very apologetic for missing the original time and bent over backwards to make it right. I will use them again for sure.

He was unable to fix the clogged faucet and cracked a nut on my outside faucet and was unable to repair that either. He promised to get back to me about a replacement part, but never did.

I was unable to complete the kitchen sink drain installation because I lacked the correct tool. The provider unloosened a pipe nut, applied some adhesive to the pvc pipes, screwed on the cap to the kitchen drain basket and tightened some pipe connections. I appreciated the provider's responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism, but probably should have called a handyman for the work because of the expertise needed for the job. This provider would be better suited for more extensive job. I paid $49 for the AngieList Big deal and $98 for the service visit and work.

It went fine. They fixed the clog. It took them 20 minutes and Shaw he told me he was charging me an extra $600.00. The deal I purchased on Angie's List was for $49.00 so with the extra $600.00 the total was $649.00. I asked him to reduce the amount and he refused. After he was done, he pointed out a few other plumbing problems with the home but I feel that I was overcharged for the services.

It went fine. That was the first time I used one of those specials on Angie's List, I've been an Angie's List member almost a year. That was my first experience. I felt the company was a little over self promoting and I'll tell you why. When they came they informed me that I got a free sort of inspection of, you know, other plumbing issues and I really appreciated that. They went around the house where there was plumbing and they informed me of things they thought should be done. A couple of the things they mentioned were I have toilets that are leaking and the tank is constantly letting water drain out and it was refilling. I don't believe that or think that was the case because I have no evidence of that. It made me wonder why they were saying something like that. I don't know if it was missing or looking for work. I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with their work. They work fairly quickly. I will say that, the one thing that I would suggest to Angie's List, if a contractor advertises $99 for an outside faucet removal or repair, the new faucet was so much smaller than the old one to where I thought gee if I had seen a picture of what they were going to do, I would have asked for something different.

We paid $30 more than the big deal purchase. I feel like their quote wasn't honest. When they came out, they knew they were going to charge us more than that when they walked in our door. They were like, 'That was just for us to come here.' On the Angie's List deal, it was to actually clear the drain, was what we purchased. They were like no, 'It was just for us to come here. We actually charge to do something.' They didn't do anything wrong. I wouldn't use them again in future.

The staff was very efficient and explained my options. The shower is no longer leaking and is working normally. My one concern is that to do the repair they had to put a hole in the wall behind the shower to access the pipes. The wall pieces were left behind..

They charged me and I didn't get the credit. I purchased the big deal and they came out, and gave me a quote and nothing was mentioned of the $49 of the big deal. It went through Angie's List, and I assumed they were aware of it, but I didn't follow up on it. They changed out a couple of spickets and they charged over $600. It was a ridiculous price. They came out very promptly, I think the next day after I called. They were here probably 30 minutes and I don't think the price was fit for what they did.

We called on a Friday and received prompt Saturday service for a gas leak that forced us to turn off gas to our house - no hot water for our family of 5. We appreciate the promptness of the service. We ended up replacing the water heater as well since it was >20 years old and going to . Replacing the hot water heater cost more than the estimate on www.homewyse.com (range from this site for our ZIP: 950-1200; actual cost from this plumber - $1695 - exclusive of Saturday service fee). The heater (AO 50 gal gas water heater) itself retails for $890 on supplyhouse.com. I wasn't expecting the installation to be nearly as much as the heater. Aside from feeling like we may have been overcharged for the installation, we were pleased with the service.

It went ok but I was thinking that when they installed it they may have done something that's causing the leak. So I'm not too happy with them.

faucet was installed; the provider made the promise to return and check whether it was working, never showed up; the faucet isn't working.

I had an external drain that was not draining correctly. They sent out a tech that inspected the drain and called his boss, Shawn, to help diagnose the problem. Shawn then came out to give me a better idea of what was needed to fix the problem. He told me he could dig out a new drain and place a sump pump inside the house that connected to the drain outside the house. He stated he would contact me over the weekend for a quote. No one has contacted me and I even called them and left them a message. No reply at all. I'm going to use someone else.

They came out, but I ended up not having them do anything. I did not want him to do anything. I the issue was I suspected that I had a potential leak and he essentially proposed to me that I was going to have to take out my entire system like I was going to re-buy all of the plumbing like the spout and everything because of the issue. I guess I just did not feel comfortable going forward with him. I just did not really get the vibe that I got from him actually and I wanted a second opinion. It turned out that I did not actually have a leak. It was just a loose valve. The other person kind of came in and tightened it and I have had zero problems with anything ever since. I had other little plumbing things that needed to be done, but he would do those for free if I gave him the really big job of redoing everything. If it was like all going to be separate, then everything would be priced out separately and I just did not like it. The work was going to be like a minimum of several hundred dollars. I just did not like any of it. I just did not like this company. They were on time. He does not seem unprofessional. I would personally would not use them again.

They're absolutely fantastic. I was able to use my coupon. I needed to verify that there were no additional leaks. They charged me $89 in addition to the deal I purchased. The gentleman was very nice. I don't hold it against him. I felt it was the communication between what Angie's List is offering, what the company agreed to and what is actually given to the customer is totally different. The plumber himself was polite and courteous. He did what he needed to do. He checked it out. The actual plumber was very honest and respectful. He was going with what his supervisor was saying.

The technicians were almost 2 hours early, which caught us all off guard, and I couldn't get home until 12:30. However, they did the work, cleaned up, and were professional. The cost was pretty high, but with the Angie's List discount the total came to $75 + $289 = $364 so I guess that was worth it, but wow, not cheap, eh? They quoted me a price on replacing the outdoor faucet, but it seemed very high, so I said I'd hold off on that.

They didn't do anything. They wanted to charge me $285 extra for an installation. I refused it. I had a brand new toilet. I just got it from Home Depot. He saw the box and he said, "Well, you don't want to install it, do you?" I said, "What do you mean? That's a brand new toilet. It was recommended for my system." He said, "That's the worst toilet they make." He didn't want to install it. Then he told me that he was going to charge me $285 additional for the installation. I said, "Well, the toilet didn't cost that much." So, I said, "No." So they left. They were about an hour late.

Solved the problem, but didn't always get back to me right away. Also left tools at my house and forgot to turn back on some important valves.

Told me $465 to clear drain line up to 75' and then there was a $225 fee to remove and install the toilet for a total fee of $690. Said that I needed a power assist toilet for $995 installed with a lifetime warranty on the toilet itself (flapper and parts in the toilet). Prompt service, just very expensive.

The quality of work was fine. They could reduce the prices and be more clear about their services when I first contacted them. They would not provide a price on certain jobs after my description. After they were here, they quoted a price that was way higher than everybody else. It was an emergency, so I needed to get things done. They were the only one's that I contacted that could come out within a couple of hours. The worker was good, I tried to negotiate with him, and the person performing the job was nice. It was the general business aspect that I didn't care for. The person that performed the job, I have no complaint about him. I would say, go somewhere else at a lower price.

The clog was cleared quickly and the plumber took the time to explain the issue in clear, technical terms. I had additional questions, including some about additional work that would have earned his company potentially thousands of dollars, and he gave very honest answers that did not immediately benefit his company. If I decide to do that work in the future, I will absolutely consider Elite Service Plumber.

We had an emergency: Sunday evening our garbage disposal in the kitchen sink had died, with kitchen counter full of dirty dishes and the dishwasher full of dirty dishes, and the kitchen sink was half-full of dirty water because the non-functioning disposal had clogged the drain pipe (tip: we were lucky we realized not to run the dishwasher, as it was routed to drain through the disposal which was clogged). So I got up Monday morning and started to phone plumbers, using Angie's List as the reference. Problem was, we had people invited for dinner Monday evening, and we needed to make the dinner. 3 plumbers said no way, can't come today. Then this company, The Elite Service Plumber, said yes, they could come between noon and 2pm. The phone person, who was super, said the technician would bring several disposals on the truck as options. A little after 1pm Chris the technician phoned saying he was on his way and at 1:30 he arrived. By 3:15pm our kitchen was operational again, with unclogged drain and new disposal (which works well and is very quiet, we like it). Chris was really great: professional, personable and very helpful. We DID use an Angie's deal (pay $75 to get $150 off plumbing job) and that is what made the total cost attractive (615 - 150 + 75 = 540). We had no prior awareness of this company, just found it by looking at Angie's. The Elite Service Plumber stepped up and helped us when we were in a jam. We recommend them highly. They are our first call from now on.
