 + 0 moreWe had an old 18 yr hot water tank fail. The cut off water valve failed to close too. It took one call to Elite Plumbing for them to come out and assess the situation, get to their product inventory and come back and make a complete replacement, install and carry the old tank away. One call, one visit, one payment, all successfully completed. They even offered a discount for senior citizens. He even referred us to a chimney expert who changed our chimney lining all at the same time. Complete service.

He located the broken pipe and fixed it quickly and snaked the drain to clear the clog. He was very good at explaining the issue and did a great job cleaning up as well.

I used the message service on Angie's List service, and whoever was on the other end was very responsive, especially considering it was past 10 PM. The person answered all my questions through a series of messages, and I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. Shawna arrived well within the promised window and kept the price in in the competitive range. I would surely use this service again.
Description of Work: Our sump pump stopped working at a very inopportune time given the recent rains. With the well almost at capacity and the water going nowhere we needed something fast. The Shawn from the Elite Service Plumber was able to assess the sump pump and install a new one within an hour.

 + -1 moreThe drain remains unclogged to this day, and it easily could have gotten re-clogged if they hadn't done it really well. Ultimately I didn't have them do the upstairs faucet as it stopped leaking on its own for some reason, but Shawn really went the extra mile trying to find just the right replacement faucet for the job. He was thoughtful about how to save me money and how to do the job in a way I would be happy with. He is also very pleasant and nice to talk to. I would hire him again in a minute.
Description of Work: I had them clear out an outside drain that was clogged outside my basement door. I also had them look at an upstairs bathtub faucet that was leaky.

 + -1 moreThe gentleman came and was very thorough in getting the faucet replaced. After 24 hours, it was still loose from the wall, so he came back and used a different sealant to secure it to the wall. After 48 hours, it was fine and I have had no problems. I did not have him do the plumbing inspection, although I should have, as we had an interior leak a week ago. I cancelled the inspection, as someone called from Angie's List and said this company could not do the job for the advertised price and they were offering a higher price. Elite said it was not them and I could not get Angie's List to respond.

The technician broke the access window to the crawlspace and replaced with plexiglass, which was fine. The plexiglass did not stay in place so I contacted the company. The technician returned the following evening to replace the plexiglass with a newly framed piece of glass. The window install was completed in only few minutes. Shawn did great work and was very respectable and professional. I also dealt with Dave by telephone and he was very helpful as well.

He was polite, professional, and efficient. This was a great deal offered through Angie's List. Compared to other companies I individually queried, this deal was $300-400 cheaper.  + -1 moreI felt like I was getting an upsell on everything. They did go through the house identifying problems almost everywhere. Not that I am disagreeing with what they were telling me, but they were telling me to replace the toilets, some pipe tubing connection underneath sinks and toilets stating the work needed to be done soon. I was very disappointed in the faucet they installed which was shorter, smaller and not as functional as the old faucet. I would have appreciated them offering another faucet for an additional charge before they installed the shorter, smaller faucet. I wish they would have shown me the faucet before installing it. The quality of work was decent and there are no leaks.

Description of Work: The experience was terrible. Shawn came and assessed the clogged sink and said that it could take two of them a day to fix or it could be shorter. He made it sound very bad and I believed him. He wanted me to sign the contract and charged me $700 dollars (without the coupon I bought before) and I signed it. then it took them less than 20 minutes for the work! I tried to renegotiate because after all, it took them much less time than he said and he would not. He also told me something else was not installed correctly in my basement . The price he gave me to fix that was also much much higher than it actually cost with another contractor I hired later. I will not hire Shawn again and would not recommend him to anyone.
