No pressure. Very professional, wore shoe covers and cleaned up behind themselves. The work is guaranteed for 1 year. The price with the coupon offered made the replacement very reasonable. I will definitely use them again.

The removal of the old faucet and installation of our new faucet was performed quickly and professionally.  + -1 moreBecause of the way the pipes were laid out, more work was necessary than originally anticipated. This was explained to me and I agreed with the assessment. It cost around $150 more than the deal, but that was certainly reasonable considering the extensive work done. I have used Elite Plumbers before and I will use them again.

 + 0 moreI'm impressed. We called for an appointment this morning (a Saturday), they gave us an approximate arrival time of 3-4. This wasn't an emergency but it was a significant convenience to us to have this fixed on a weekend. (Although we found this company through Angies list we didn't look for/use any coupons.) Shawn called us around 1:00 or so to let us know he would be able to arrive at 2. He was courteous and professional, put on shoe covers as he entered the house, and was able to unclog the sink. He also pointed out the use of a now-banned polybutylene water line and suggested we consider replacing it at some point as it becomes weak and subject to breaking over time. He was finished in our house and on his way in about 30 minutes. We will use this company again if we have future plumbing needs.

They do not call, they do not email, they do not respond to people who purchase Angie's List coupons. So my bad for even giving them a second chance. And THEIR big bad for failing, again.

 + -1 moreNot well. The first time he came out and made the "fixed" it by reattaching the hose to the side of my home it broke within a week. I did call to reschedule so he could fix the problem but was not at the house when he came by to fix it. The third time he came out he did the job right. During the inspection he became upset about me not being home but if the job was done right the first time he would not of had to come out. Also his theory about why we had leaking pipes was wrong.
Description of Work: I needed an exterior hose to be reattached to my home as it was becoming loose. The deal also included a free inspection of our water pipes.

 + -1 moreI bought a deal for $100 credit toward plumbing service (cost $59). I was charged $180 for the garbage disposal install. Total cost to me was $249 which is way over the top. I could have had the company who sold me the garbage disposal install it for half that cost. I considered this deal to be a real rip off. I go to Angie's List to save money, not pay extra. This was a bad experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

 + -1 moreThe estimate was too high, which if he had told me during the several calls we had trying to schedule him to come, i would have told him not to bother. I believe in the future he should give an estimate over the phone and caution that it might be a little higher or lower depending on certain factors and the visit might have been avoided.
Description of Work: Showed up, gave me the price, we didn't agree he left. Will charge for a service call, even though I told him before he came exactly what I wanted him to do, which was to change my kitchen faucet, so diagnosis was needed but I understand he needed to be compensated for showing up.

Description of Work: I have a leaking cold water faucet in my 1st floor guest bathroom. I bought the coupon for $49 with $100 credit. thinking this will cover the cost to change a washer. I shot the cold water under the sink. I call and was told I need to have the work done during regular hours. I saw the web site said they open until 6 PM. so i request the last two hour block for 4 to 6 pm and I was told that not good enough because it is not available for the deal I brought. so I tool off 1/2 day from work and was home for the plumber to come from 2-4 pm. I had told them the problem when i make the appoinment and stated I also want them to put in anew kitchen faucet for me. I have pruchase the new faucet already. on th e day of the service, i waited for an hour, no one show up, so I call. I was told someone will be there soon. the distant of the company to my house is about 15 minutes. tThe plumber show up 15 minutes later, come in and did not even touch my sink but told me that my faucet is too old that he could see that he can get the part but offer to change a brand new unit that he will be for appox $645. He also told me in order for him to put in my new faucet the the kitchen. his labor is $275. so I I want him to do the job that day. it will be approximately $800 with the credit. I told him this is not what I was expected and ask how long the job will take . He told me it is not the time but per job. I try to negotiate if he can take a look and see if he can fix my sink without costing me over $700. He say no, then start telling me he is a professional and require a license in order to do his job. I finally stated I do not have the money and I can not afford his service. I call the Angies List customer office inform them what had happen and try to get my refund. Both the representative and the customer service supervisor told me that he had perform his service by coming to my house even through he did not even touch anything or come near my sink. I was very disappointed about the whole process. I also saw the next day his coupon had change to two hundred dollars of credit if you buy the coupon. DON"T DO IT, IT IS A SCAM!!!! He will never tell the approximately price up front. He tells you he needs to come out and see before he can give you the price. When he come out, even if he did not do anything but just telling you how much it will cost you. You have already lost $50. and Angie list is not going to help you to get your money back, but tell you the merchant has perform their job of the coupon deal.

 + -1 moreIt was a disaster. They charged me for SO much more for their work then they ever told me. Total was $467 (minus the $100 credit), so $367 total. Since the deal said labor was included (minus materials) I assumed I would only have to pay for labor over $100. I expected to pay the materials and labor over $100... no problem. But then they CHARGED ME $219 per toilet for labor and parts (rebuilding). Plus a $29 service fee (WHAT WAS THE DEAL FOR???) . I think these guys are rip-off artists. I had a right to assume that I would not be charged for the first $100 of labor, and I would pay the materials separate. Because I had a great experience with other offers bought on Angie's List, I gave these guys too much credibility. I am completely unhappy with them. Ideally, I want 1/2 of the $367 back.
Description of Work: I bought a deal with them " $49 Plumbing Service Call Plus Credit Toward Repairs". I had them work on two toilets.

 + -1 moreBottom line is that Shawn got the job done. But at a hefty price. My kitchen drain was clogged and I called on Monday. Was scheduled a Wednesday appointment. Shawn called before coming and showed up on time. The work involved in some snaking and took around 40 minutes including cleaning. Price tag is $398 and after the AL deal it came to $348 total. I knew plumbing was expensive but did not expect to be this expensive. My dentist charges a rate half of that. So if you are in rush and have a deep pocket then Elite could be your choice.

He performed the work in a timely manner and left the area clean. While there he also gave me a quote to replace the water heater and explained the various options. It was a quick and great experience.

 + -1 moreAwful. It was supposed to be done in one day when we were here. It extended for three more days when we were gone. During our absence the worker unplugged a refrigerator and never plugged it back in, causing all the food to go bad. The worker(s) mixed driveway soil, mostly rocks with garden soil and placed this mix back in ther garden. The workers uprooted a 22 year old holly bush and left it open to the air. I found it upon my return and insisted that it be replanted. It was, but it was too late. The bush died. The worker moved a large amount of material from where it was stored in the garage to gain access to the floor, that was dug up. The material was left in one huge pile at the conclusion of the floor work. I wrote Elite asking for a partial refund and the letter was returned by the USPS. I called Elite to get a new address and the second letter was also returned as undeliverable.
Description of Work: Replace the water line between the pump and the house.

 + -1 morePurchased Angie's List Coupon for $49 dollars. Included $49 service call plus 100 credit towards work. Elite came out and said total bill would be $198. I asked for a breakdown. They said $159 for the repair plus the service call. Total out of pocket after $100 credit $198. I explained that cannot be correct because the service call is included in the coupon that I already paid for which was $49. So it should be a total of $59 out of pocket not $98. He said Angie's list gets the $49. We could not agree. No work done. Angie's list refunded the money. Lesson learned: Elite was playing the odds that I would not care about the flim-flam on the Angie's list coupon. Most people would say okay just do the work. But there's something to be said for ethics. Clearly Angie's list gets a portion of what I paid for the coupon and Elite gets something. However, Elite thinks they can jack up the price and come away free and clear by padding the bill with their "additional service call." It's obvious if the work costs $159 that you cannot add the service call when the voucher clearly states "$49 Service Call plus $100 Credit toward any necessary repair" I paid the $49 already to Angie's List when I bought the voucher so clearly, the remaining balance should have been $59 after the $100 credit was deducted. So charging for the service call twice is clearly in error. service professionals make assumptions when people live in certain neighborhoods like Bethesda. In this case they were wrong. Don't allow yourself to be bullied if what is clear on paper does not match what the service professional says.
Description of Work: Came out to look at small leak in ceiling. But did not do work because of a disagreement over what the Angie's List coupon meant.
