Kitchen Magic Refacers, Inc.

I can't say enough good things about them. They were in and out in three days. They cleaned up every night before they left. Every one of the workers was friendly, on time, and easy to work with. I'd recommend to everyone.

We got an estimate but they haven't started the work yet. The interaction has been very good. He was a very honest person. I liked what he came up with. It was in the price range I was looking for. He can give good design ideas, good things to think about and consider.

They did an outstanding job! They did leave a lot of sawdust, though. It looks beautiful. The timing was not the best because I had my grandchildren here. It's just perfect. I had the layout but they helped em pick out the wood. I was happy with the way everything turned out with the exception of the lack of cleaning up the sawdust afterwards.

Work started on the agreed date. Carpenter hung plastic to control dust from entering other areas of the home. Work was completed in the three days. The cornice was delivered in the wrong size and had to completed at a later date. Disappointed that the caulking of the countertop to the back splash was not done. Was told not part of the price. Really? The cabinet that was moved from one location in the kitchen to another fell from wall six months after the work was completed.Kitchen Magic came out and rehung. The kitchen sink constantly leaks. Two plumbers have been called to help correct installation problems where the sink meets the drain pipe. I keep a bucket under my kitchen sink at all times. Veneer used to cover the cabinets is starting to buckle in places. This disappoints me since the kitchen is only 4 years old. We later installed hardwood floors to our first floor, so against the new kitchen it looks modern. My kitchen is definitely much better looking and up to date than it was before. But, I am concern the cabinets will not last 10 years. Kitchen Magic offers you $100 gift card to right a good review on Angies List. We did not accept their offer. We wanted to wait to see if the work stood the test of time.

What a horrible experience. The salesman came and showed me the cabinet doors. I liked one of them but the price was too high. He told me that he can't do anything about the price, but someone will call me. The next day I got a call and the man on the phone raised his voice and started arguing with me and telling me that I don't know what I am talking about and hung up on me. I called back to find out who this person was and I recognized the voice of that person as the one who I just spoke to. I asked him if he is the one I spoke to a few minutes ago and he said yes. I asked him what his position is in the company and he said that he is the president of the company. I read another review with someone who had a similiar experience. I will not recommend this company to anyone, such unprofessional behavior. I contacted Kitchen Saver in Baltimore and ordered that same door and it was $1000.00 less and customer service was amazing.

They gave us a choice on the look of the cabinets, the color, the wood. The installer was very nice, competent, efficient. We used them because of the coupon. My wife was thrilled with the job. It was a very nice, good installer. He cleaned up. They estimated 4 days and they did not need the 4th day. The guy that designed it and he aggravted me a little bit. I mentioned angies list and we have different opinions about that. This was good quality. Turned our very nice. Beautiful job.

I would not recommend this company based on their archaic practice of and quot;requiringand quot; your husband to attend the estimate meeting. I am appalled that they refused to even meet with me without my husband. The house is in my name and I got married later in life - I'm pretty sure I can pick out and pay for a kitchen without my man's approval. This company needs to get real.

The experience was good. We were very satisfied with the quality of work. They even helped us design the remodeling and gave us some ideas as well.

Everything went fine with Kitchen Magic Refacers. They turned up on time and the guy was very good. We were quite happy with them. He did all the measuring up and gave us the quote while he was there and we thought the quote was reasonable. The quote was fine and we had no problems. He was on the dot with punctuality and he was responsive.

When I saw what they did, I liked the choice of wood that I had. They did it in three days like they said they would. They were here on time. They were fine, there were two things, they nicked the wall, and it is not noticeable. It looks nice; they did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves. It is very attractive and effective.

Bad initial interaction with no chance I would ever hire this firm.

Started on time; finished on time; always punctual; minimal mess; technicians were always courteous, and always made time to answer any questions.

Overall he project went very well. Installers were professional and arrived on time. There was about a 2 month delay from when I contracted until the work was done due to their volume of work. Quality of the materials used is very good. People don't believe that the cabinets are resurfaced. Most think that they are new. They custom designed the island per my request to include a wine rack on the side and a large spice cabinet.

They were always on time. They completed the job on time and did a good job. They were professional. The fellow who came out did anything we asked him to look at and fix. He also worked around our schedule. I would absolutely use them again if needed.

It did not go very well. There was a specific person that works there; I don't know if he is the owner or a salesperson, but we were asking certain questions and the person yelled at me and then hung up the phone. So, we canceled the transaction because of the way we were treated.

Work was begun on time and mostly finished on time. work was done in professional manner and crew was very polite. Kitchen was out of service for the minimal amount of time. One cabinet door and and other small false drawers were incorrectly built, however they were remade and replaced. This coveniently coincided with the late arrival of a microwave oven we ordered so the correct doors amd microwave were installed in the final visit.

Kitchen Magic refaced our kithcen cabinets. They did a beautiful job and eight years later, they still look great! I even had a little incident where I nicked a cabinet door and they sent someone out who completed the repair. The value of this beautiful kitchen has increased the value of my home and added class. I am extremely satisfied with Kitchen Magic.

The entire process was very satisfactory.

The workman suggested removing cabinet doors and installing 3 drawers in one area (and did not charge me extra) and I LOVE it!. Installed light over the existing built in desk. The workers came on time, cleaned up every day, and finished the job in about 3-4 days. They KNEW what they were doing. Had to return once to even out a drawer and install a missing screw. No problems at all - wish all workman were as good. The only negative aspect is that they insisted my spouse be home at the time of the initial sales pitch. Irritated me (as I pay the bill and this was my decision) but I got over it. Given the cost of cabinet replacement ($$$$), this was a great ($$) alternative.. My kitchen gets lots of compliments. The job was completed 2 years ago (okay , I'm slow to write) and looks just as good today!

I was happy with Kitchen Magic from start to finish. The designer had great ideas, especially that of changing under cabinets to drawers. The drawers are WONDERFUL. The final appearance in beautiful. The birch is prettier than I had expected. A small regret is that they did not finish the inner edges of cabinets and shelves, but I consider that minor. My only real regret is that a narrow new cabinet was put in to replace a wider one. It doesn't extend to the edge of the counter and is a little too small for where it is and looks out of whack. The installer was fabulous and worked long hours and got it done in less than 4 days.

I am delighted with the results. It looks like I had all new cabinets installed. The installer (Steve) arrived on time and was professional in his attitude. He cleaned up every evening so that I could use the kitchen at night. The entire process only took 3 days, so it was not a major inconvenience. I was hesitant at first to go with birch rather than maple, but I love the result and the natural finish is timeless. I chose the beaded cabinet door design. My previous cabinets were paint over orange oak; I couldn't wait to get rid of that look. Ric, the Senior Designer, was able to find a trim piece that I wanted. The craftsmanship of the installer was superb. The cabinets don't look refaced - they look new. I had been thinking about cabinet refacing for a few years and I'm glad I had the work done. I would recommend Kitchen Magic.

They are the only ones I have ever used but I would use them again in a heartbeat. Their price and the quality of their work was just excellent.

We signed a sales agreement on August 27, 2011. From September 27 to December 3, 2011, Kitchen Magic of Gambrills performed the work. There were several glitches along the way that delayed getting the work performed. Since we were refacing instead of replacing the cabinets, the work timeline was supposed to be around 2 weeks instead of several months. In October, we were missing drawers, the hutch doors were still not installed, and the Pendaflex drawers were not functional (couldn't put folders in without them touching the top or closing properly). We would of been understanding of that except that the sales rep didn't return our initial calls, and we had to call several times to request an inspection of these areas. When he came out, he was very apologetic and promised everything would be fixed and installed. By November 14, the cabinet hutch doors had still not been installed and there were some drawers and handles that were not level. We called again and on December 3, the work was finally completed. We had a balance of $505 due on that day in December, but decided not to pay the balance because of the extra time we had to schedule to be home which was not due to our fault but to the failure of the company to get the doors and work done in a timely manner as promised and communicated to us in August. In addition, there seemed to be blame passed back and forth between the sales rep and worker, Earl, which confused us as the customer. That was not our concern or problem. When the company sent us two notices to pay the balance of the bill ($505), we felt insulted, since we had communicated to the worker, Earl, in December that we weren't happy with the way things had gone and didn't feel we had to pay the balance for the inconveniences and problems. The company did not make any effort to call us to express their concern about our dissatisfaction. We sent a letter in February 2012 to the Kitchen Magic office in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. We surprisingly found out that the Kitchen Magic in Gambrills was not affliated with the Kitchen Magic, Inc. in Pennsylvania. In fact, the rep, Cindy Fleck, informed us that she was very sorry for the dissatisfaction and that they had been contacted before regarding similiar situations. In retrospect, we should of researched this company on Angie's list and not gotten so excited about getting our kitchen done. We should of spoken with 2 other contractors and not have signed the sales agreement so quickly but we were trying to get a discount so we signed away. Inside some of our cabinets are some splotchy areas which we have informed the Gambrills Kitchen Magic company via our February 2012 letter: they have not responded. Regrettably, we feel like this company has not been satisfactorily responsive in calling or contacting us once they received our letter. We, as indicated in our letter, would have welcomed some kind of acknowledgement along with a discount and fixing of the splotchy cabinets, but that has not occured. We cannot recommend this company:-(

We wanted to up-date our kitchen while preserving the footprint of the space and keeping our granite countertops. Ric walked us through the entire process and was very helpful in suggesting modifications to our existing cabinetry. For example a lower 2 door cabinet that held very large bowls and platters is now a more convenient and accessable pull out draw. Our experience was first rate from start to finish. Our workmen, Steve and Earl, are outstanding professionals who were great to work with.

The work was done on time, without any issues, and looked beautiful when finished.
