Ultra Guard Security Systems

We are all very pleased with the way they were installed and the price. If I ever have a problem or question, they are right there to answer it for me.

It was fabulous. They are the best. I've been using them since they opened their business 20 or 25 years ago. I have 4 business that required a lot of high level security and I use them for all 4. I also use them for me personally and for my family personally and the doctors personally. We have a wide range of experience with them and they are wonderful. We feel comfortable with whom they send to our home and know that they have done a full background check on them. The people that work for them have been there for years and they are just wonderful. I have everything that they offer somewhere. I have all the automation and apps for the home security system. It is so convenient because I can set the alarm when I get in the car or when I get to the office. I can go on my phone with the app and see if anyone has been in or out of my house with the code. The app also provides text services. If the electricity goes out, I get a text. I can set it up for many things. The monitoring alone is about $600 a year. They stand behind their work. If I'm not satisfied or it doesn't work the way I thought it was going to work, they are right there to change it or do something. They want me to be happy.

I believe we were one of their first clients. We have 2 homes that they service. We have always felt that servicing our systems were a priority. It would be difficult to trust anyone else with the security of our homes!

They worked out fine. Everyone was very nice and helpful as they walked us through the process. I have no complaints about the service.

They were fine when they came and installed. The person who did the work was great. He was efficient and affordable. I referred them to my neighbor. I wanted a bare bone security system that will work well and they provided that. I am really happy with them.

Ultra Guard Security Systems were very good. They were a local company and very responsive to any issues. It's an alarm system where I can access the system from my phone. I got a camera system and a front door lock that I can access from my phone and look from the internet. Their price is competitive. They were able to use some existing components that are in my house. The cost of my system is not going to reflect what I actually have in there if some of them are starting with a new system, that doesn't add up. I always had pieces of stuff, I don't remember the numbers but I thought it was reasonable and the monitor and stuff, they're not the cheapest around but they're not the most expensive. They automatically bill me and charge it up my credit card so I don't pay that much attention to that specific topic.

They are very good. The owner of the company came out, and he was responsive to exactly what we wanted.

The service is fine. They took over the security company that I had. They are fine. They do an okay job monitoring, and if I needed more security, I don't know if I would go with them. I am currently on contract with them. If your alarm goes off, and you get up and turn it off immediately, they don't call you. The previous company that we had, used to call, regardless of the reason why you set the alarm off, they would call you to check if you are okay. Ultra Guard doesn't do that. If the alarm goes off, and there is nobody here, and it runs the full term, then they will call us, and in the meantime they do call the police. It is nothing major. We have an alarm service because we want to know if someone gets into the house when we are asleep. They are fine for the service that I have. If any of the sensors or anything in your house goes off, it is an extra fee. They will call you, and walk you through it, but to come out, they charge us. I will continue to use them, unless I want to upgrade, then I will use someone else.

It went well. They didn't charge me jack because it was an insurance call but I think the price was around $1,000. The alarm system itself and the variety of sensors and features is superb. The quality of the installation was superb but I found the video portion of the service less than useful. It is not high enough resolution but the main problem is that it is triggered at random because of changing light patterns and there was no way to set up the auto triggering to prevent that. For example, cars driving by at night would set it off multiple, multiple times so everyday I was reviewing dozens of things that were absolutely nothing. The service is fairly good. We get false alarms occasionally due to the proximity of the smoke detector to the kitchen and the sensitivity of it. They are 100% reliable but sometimes it takes a little longer than I would like. Typical response time is a minute but it can be as long as three minutes. All of those experiences have been handled very professionally and by the book. I will absolutely continue to use them.

I have lived in both Montgomery and Frederick County over the last 20+ years. I contracted Ultra Guard Security for all four of my homes. I truly appreciate that they have always taken the time to insure that the system I selected will not only provide my family the security features we would like to have but also suited our life styles as they had changed over the years. The technicians, as well as the office staff, have years of experience. In fact, the technician that installed my first system over 20 years ago,(Andy) installed our most recent. This system was installed in all the windows and doors on the first two levels of my home and I have 2 keypads , and 24hr monitoring. With my system I am able to receive text messaging every time the system is programed, disarmed or when the alarm been set off. Each of the family member has their own ID. The system can also be programed, features changed etc. on-line. Again as the past, the installers arrived on time, worked steady and every room is left as if no one had been in it. After the system was installed and tested, all the features were demonstrated and any questions I had were gone over again. Ultra Guard provides very fair pricing, latest technology and something that few others do, customer care ! I

They have provided us support after the install for some questions and fine tuning of the cameras, and their office staff is extremely pleasant to work with. Excellent Scott arrived early but didn't ring the bell until the 8 am start live. He worked with n college study for 4 1/2 hrs until done and longer due to a problem with original stv for the transmittal, where the signal was blocked.

Ultraguard came to my house and described the protections it would recommend. I received a written proposal that evening -- and the price seemed reasonable. As soon as I agreed to the proposal, the Ultraguard rep telephoned and set up a time two weeks later for the alarms to be installed. The installation team was friendly and professional. I am incredibly pleased with Ultraguard's service -- and have already recommended them to others!

I've been thrilled with Ultraguard's service and prices. I've accidentally set off my alarm a few times and I've been really impressed with how quickly I get a call from Ultraguard. It gives me confidence that in a true emergency, I wouldn't have to wait long for help. I've been very pleased with customer service as well.

A really great company to deal with. We choose them because of their high rating on Angies List and it was well deserved. The owner Fred is very involved and comes out himself for the initial appointment. His installer Scott was just fantastic, a real pleasure to work with, pleasant and likable and communicative. The only problem was with hooking up the new furnace thermostat and Scott had to call in some extra help when the first one did not work. But I must say they made efforts beyond what I would have expected to get us up and running. From what I understand each thermostat is different depending upon the type of furnace - so it is not a slam dunk! Everything works great. While my wife loves the security I love the computer control of the lights and thermostat and the alarm system in general. We can set the house temperature, light timers remotely from anywhere in the world!! Also can control lights on and off from cell phone, set or disarm alarm system from cell phone. Ultra Guard has our highest recommendation. They were a real pleasure to work with on every level. Any they did not try to sell us more than we wanted. There was no fear tactics used on my wife, this I really appreciated!

Estimate was very professional, fast and thorough. All the existing components were found in good condition and proposed by Fred Grey (the owner) to leave them in place since they are all working. This reduced my overall cost significantly. All the important thing were discussed and the proposed system fully covered all my needs and expectations. The installation was scheduled by email, it took them about a week to come for the installation. Technician came to our house on time, he was polite and very skilled. The job was performed in less then half a day and the system was fully tested and operational when he left. I use the system already 8 month, it performs well. I already used the alarm feature once and UGSS answered immediately and performed well. I'm very satisfied with my overall experience with this company and defenitely recommend them and will use them again myself.

When Fred Gray arrived to explain his service & how they could use some of old equipment and incorporate it with the new system that was a real savings. The crew arrived on time & installed the new equipment & explained how to use it.

Installation followed system testing went with no problems at all. Installation took 1 & 1/2 days, which was explained in the estimate. Extra half-day needed to install video and intercom system. Installers arrived on time both days. Both very friendly and professional. System testing followed by thorough explanation of how operate the system. Minor glitches discovered a few days later were immediately corrected. No other problems since installation 6 months ago.
