Description of Work: Existing wooden deck: stripped and completely sanded all horizontal surfaces and applied stain. They were prompt, on time, did a great job, cleaned up well and were very courteous. $1700

Description of Work: They redid the deck surface, provided some great suggestions for improvement.

Description of Work: They rebuilt/replaced my 25 year old deck and then stained/treated it. They did excellent work in each phase of the work. I intend to use them in the future to maintain the deck.My only point about responsiveness is that there were intervals in the process where I had to call them rather than them calling me (or calling me back). In the end, they performed excellent work and we are glad we engaged them.

Description of Work: They power washed the deck and railings, let it dry, did some sanding and stained/sealed the deck. There was a dark color finish on our deck that a previous handyman had done. I was afraid it wouldn't come off but they did a spot check and it did come off. We had some unexpected rain on the date we first had scheduled. They called me as soon as it was good enough weather and came out and did the power washing. It was supposed to be nice for many days afterward but once again, we had unexpectged rain. Again, once the deck had been dry long enough they called me - I never had to chase them - they were right on top of everything. They worked really hard and I was impressed with how great the deck looks now. They were all so pleasant to deal with and very efficient. I give them an A+++ in everything.

Description of Work: Complete replacement of all decking and railing on a redwood deck ravaged by carpenter bees. Replacement was with #1 pressure treated wood. My deck had a sunburst design in the decking (trademark of previous builder) which the Deckmaster carpenter faithfully reproduced. Big, complex deck with two stairs. Deckmaster team did not scrimp, found some bad wood after they started and a design flaw (original landing missing needed piling support) and fixed it. Bad wood replacement charged extra, fixing the design flaw included in the price. Estimator very professional, courteous, easy to get in touch with. Team project leader extremely conscientious and made sure everything was correctly and beautifully done. He is clearly a craftsman, not just a carpenter. I highly recommend this company. If you should get Carlos Olivares as estimator and Carlos Iglesias as lead carpenter, you will be very lucky and quite pleased with result.

Description of Work: Replaced 12x24 wooden deck (kept bottom structure) with Trex. Workmanship was excellent and price was by far the best of 3 that I received estimates from. They were very punctual (start to finish about 5 days), fit me into a tight schedule, and honored special request not to cut up any of the current wood (due to arsenic concerns).

Description of Work: Deckmaster re-built my deck and then treated it with their custom cleaning and staining process. The re-build was done very well, which I suspect was a sub-contractor, but the sealing process was a nightmare. I had a wooden bench under the deck and that got hit with the stripping chemicals initially, so I had them come out and refinish that as well, which they thankfully did without extra charge. However when I called them back to ask why the staining was done so poorly (no stain on the edges between the boards), they said they would send someone out and never did.

Description of Work: I used the Angie's list big deal to have them out for a thorough cleaning of our back deck, and also negotiated painting the deck. They were there when they said they would be, finished the job on time, and the deck looked great.

Description of Work: Pressureless cleaning of deck, replaced boards, sanded deck, applied semitransparent stain (restoration package). They came on first day as scheduled to clean which took about 4-5 hours, then the weather (rain) delayed the 2nd day which was scheduled one day later than originally. Second day sanding and application of the semitransparent stain took about 4 hours. The technicians did a good job and were diligent.The communications with the office were sometimes conflicted and confusing to me. At the completion of the job I am satisfied with the work performed.

Description of Work: Clean and stain deck, replace rail caps, install LED deck lights. | |We have used DeckMaster in the past, and will continue to use them anytime we need periodic deck staining and cleaning. They are always neat and clean in the staining process, and the quality of the work and stain they use is excellent. We find one cleaning and staining lasts us 2-3 years (as promised) vs. other companies that last only a couple of months. Highly recommend them!
