Description of Work: Moved a 3-bd house. It's going to storage until I get to CA and buy a new place so although I liked how they packed my furniture up, loaded up boxes (I packed them) and there was no damage to walls, I can't yet leave a full review until delivery in CA which will be a few months from now. Blair, the guy who gave me the estimate, was thorough, professional and responsive.

Description of Work: Great moving experience! Very professional and careful with my belongings. Worked quickly and efficiently. Took the time to put all of my furniture together at my new place and the movers were super nice. Great communication and customer service. Would definitely use this company again in the future!

Description of Work: I called for a quote to move a piano 13 miles. They wanted $600 flat fee. This is over double the last person two movers I called.

Description of Work: Town and Country moved me from a 2 bedroom condo in McLean to a 4 bedroom, multi-story townhouse in Alexandria. They did everything with great professionalism, organization, and care. For an industry known for having many less than reputable outfits, Town & Country went way against type. Highly recommended!

Description of Work: They were on time, very responsive and helpful. The only negative... 6 pieces of decorative glass/kitchenware were broken even though they were tightly wrapped in bubble wrap. The cost was twice as high as the estimate, but an hour of that was out of Town & Country's control.

Description of Work: This company was recommended to me by someone who had used Town & Country. I was very pleased with their service. It was a rainy day and the workers covered the furniture. They moved me from Olney to Silver Spring, Md. All went well. The workers kept moving until the job was complete.

Description of Work: Moved our household from Arlington, VA to Amherst, MA. We did most of our own packing. T&C dismantled and wrapped the furniture. They were polite, strong, efficient, and their price was significantly lower than the other companies we interviewed (and we researched and interviewed at least seven companies). We recommended them to a friend recently who is moving her mother from Alexandria, VA to Amherst. She has been impressed with T&C thus far too. Damages were quite minimal--mainly a couple of lamps and a few other smaller items. They were very careful with wrapping and moving our furniture both out and in. They arrived on time in both locations. We would use them again.

The movers were very professional, and all were employees of Town & Country. | |Five men showed up at our house on Thursday right no schedule and completed the move out within a day. The moving van arrived at our home in Florida on Sunday right on schedule. Two of the five movers then moved all our furniture into our home within a day. | |The original move estimate was based on an estimated load of 15,000+ pounds. The actual weight was around 12,800 pounds. Description of Work: The packing was efficient and most professional in two days. Record time for us! The delivery in Texas came a day earlier than anticipated. Concern arose when the movers came earlier a day before in the afternoon. The two person crew worked almost non-stop emptying out the trailer. The car arrived with no damage and in good order. The household goods arrived generally in good condition...but one piece of pottery (no longer manufactured) was broken, and an antique vase was also broken. A suitcase was marred and torn. Given the size of the shipment these three items were perhaps insignificant but nonetheless they were a loss. The crew did not hire additional help at point of delivery...which rushed them to beat sundown and get rest...overall the movers were good to excellent...the price was reasonable but not cheap. I would use them again.
