Description of Work: They moved us from Springfield, VA to Va Beach and also brought back a small load for us to include in our estate sale. The entire team was friendly and professional. The packers were great and we had no damage. The move was flawless and they even helped rearrange a large piece of furniture; that is customer service!! They delivered the items they picked up to our estate sale as requested. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Description of Work: T&C packed me up and moved me from the suburbs to downtown DC. They were perfect--on time, polite, efficient, and professional in every way. They came in under their estimate and didn't break a single thing. They made moving a totally painless experience.

Description of Work: Moved us out of our home in the pouring down rain. All furniture was covered in padding and then plastic wrap. The movers were very concerned and careful while packing the truck properly.

Description of Work: Underestimated the size of the truck needed. If we weren't able to use the realtor's truck we would have had a big problem. The movers themselves were excellant.

Description of Work: We had a trans-state move with about two months with our furniture in storage. Initial contact and estimate went well. Packing and pickup were very professional. One problem was with the initial bill for packing, storage preparation and storage. I noticed a charge for the storage preparation that was inconsistent with the quoted rates. When I contacted my representatives, Missy and Kate, they requested clarification from the Storage Department. I had several calls with Missy and Kate and my question was not answered correctly. Missy/Kate referred me directly to Elaine in the Storage Department to resolve the issue. I received one phone call from Elaine that I missed and returned her call where she was unavailable. She didn't call me back so I called again about a week later with no response. I followed up with Missy/Kate and they were going to follow up with Elaine. Again, I heard nothing. I chose not to pay the bill until I had a satisfactory answer to my question. Once I had the delivery of our furniture scheduled 2 months later and 3 days prior to delivery, I finally got the invoice corrected. The delivery team were very professional and prompt. Nothing was missing or broken. I believe part of the problem I had was due to the job sharing Missy and Kate do. I don't know if there was enough follow through between the two of them to make sure my issue with the Storage Department was resolved promptly. Overall, the experience was above average and I would recommend them.

Description of Work: They helped me move, had a wonderful moving crew headed by Christian. Did amazing amount of work in pouring rainstorm to move me. Wonderful to deal with and I would definitely use them again. It was worth every penny!

Description of Work: Picked up furniture from a location in VA suburbs of DC and delivered it to another location; at that location, also re-positioned existing furniture

Description of Work: They moved a very heavy bed and other furniture from Washington DC out to my apartment, up 4 flights of stairs with no elevator. They were fast and on time, and put the bed together with its upscaled frame without any problems. I would use them for any moving project - I have used them twice now, for a large move and the above smaller move. They do an excellent job.

Description of Work: We hired Town and Country to do a move from Arlington, Virginia to Leland, NC. The people loading the truck disassembled one of my belongings without my knowledge, even though we had discussed clearly what was to go on the truck. To my surprise, it was unloaded in NC un-assembled, and I did not have the tools to reassemble this item. The workers who unloaded the truck simply replied that they did not pack the truck, so it was not their responsibility. Lesson learned!

Description of Work: Interviewed a few moving/storage companies and chose t&c. They were, in a word, professional. They were a bit more expensive than others but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. The "B" rating is just because they were a bit higher. They arrived on time, carefully packed up my belongings, and left my house empty. Moving can be traumatic on a variety of levels, but it is made easier when you can be confident that your belongings are in good hands. Highly recommend them, they are worth every penny.

Description of Work: Town and Country stored our household goods and then moved us from Virginia to Ohio. Everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous. They did an excellent job wrapping our furniture and handling our household goods. We did not have any damage. We have moved many times and this was one of the best. We would not hesitate to work with them again.

Description of Work: They moved my entire home from Vienna, VA to Ashburn, VA. It could not have gone better. I have moved several times over the past forty years and found Town and Country to be among the very best moving vendors I've used.

Description of Work: I liked that they packed me up in Maryland, drove the shipment out to Wisconsin and unloaded it here. Would have really liked it if it were the same crew, but both crews were very careful with both places and all belongings. I have one nick in the new house's wall but way less than expected. I was also missing one box that was never found with a table lamp and shade. No resolution, but that's partly my fault as I didn't return their last call due to travel and just being busy.

Description of Work: We moved from Virginia to Bradenton, FL. The customer service of the movers was highly professional and thorough. The transport of the household was quick and delivery was well done. Kevin was our main point of contact during the move and I would highly recommend him if you can get him.
