The staff of this company is excellent and they were very responsive. They delivered 20 empty boxes on the same day that I requested it. I called a few times with questions and they were patient and returned my calls. They promised 3 men and 3 men arrived (although about 30 minutes late). They were cordial and appeared to work diligently. They disappeared for a bit at one point but I think it was to move the truck. Overall the experience was good. They broke very little: a microwave table and a plant holder. They took good care of my art work, disassembled my queen sleigh bed and reassembled it at the new place. Major complaint concerns the price/time. I've never moved before but I'm surprised that it took 5 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment -- and that DID NOT include moving my couch or kitchen table. Since money is always a significant consideration, I do wonder whether it would have been wiser to go with another company that a friend recommended that cost $40 less an hour.

I commend Town & Country for all their heavy lifting they did. My only complaint was that they were almost too quick at what they did. Most people would be happy about since they charge by the hour but I think if they moved slower they would have been a little more careful with my stuff. Also we had some communication problems because there was only one guy there who spoke English and the others I had to keep telling them where to put my stuff.

The move took approximately 2.5 hours, which was 1.5 less than was estimated. There was a minimum 3 hour charge (which includes the travel hour) so I ended up spending about $140 less than was estimated (always a good thing)! Nothing was broken or damaged in the move and the movers had to accommodate the weirdness of my new place - back entry only to the lower level and they went around the front for anything that was too big to bring up the stairs. The movers were professional and fast, totally polite and very careful. Not a single box was dropped, which I have had happen with other professional movers. The team lead kept in constant communication with us. They even took out our old couch and moved it to the dumpster for us. They were really awesome!

I was very pleased with the service I got from them. The same person supervised everything which made communication that much easier. When they packed they marked the boxes which made it must easier for me to know where everything was. They were very responsive and able to set a date real quickly. Everything arrived the day they said it would.

Great. We have moved 4 times within 5 years and this was by far the best experience. We are good packers now - so everything was packed by the time the crew came. We moved china and crystal and pictures ourselves, but they moved everything else. Two trucks and 5 men came and finished the job in about 7 hours - which was about 4 hours less than the estimate. We had a few estimates and this was not the cheapest, but having had some bad experiences in the past we decided to go with them as they were well recommended by several friends. In the end they came in less expensive than the binding estimates we got - so it was worth it. Also they were just real professionals. Cleaned up, reassembled furniture, worked hard and consistently and did the job very well. As I said, having had the experience of about 4 movers in the last 5 years they were by far the best. Also know that movers charge more at the end of the month, so try to arrange to move a little before the end if possible.

The first move was a bit tough; we didn't have a big enough truck and the workers spent all day working to move us. A little bit of that issue was on our end since we really didn't pack as much as we were supposed to before the crew arrived. The second move both sides learned from our mistakes and had the best move ever! (I have moved 7 times in the last 10 years). Each time the crew arrives happy, energetic and pumped to start moving your stuff. They are very nice and mindful of my baby's things and our other furniture, not to scratch the walls, etc.

It went great. First of all, Mark Goldsborough, the sales rep, put together a thorough estimate, listing every item in the whole house. It was a very competitive price. Trucks showed up on time. Workers were efficient and managed to navigate some quirky areas in our old house. While there didn't seem to be any extra attention paid to items marked "Fragile", there was no damage to anything (except for a few things, I broke myself!). There were no marks on floors or walls of either house. Overall, a professional job for a good price.

The movers arrived early and worked hard for the 5 hours the move required. All the furniture arrived safely with no scratches or damage. The workers were friendly and followed our instructions. The rate was $150/hr for a large truck and three men. This was a bit higher than some other movers quoted but the overall cost was in line with the estimate.

Here is the email I sent to the president of Town and Country after our move. It says it all: Just a quick note to let you know that you guys moved us on March 23 from our townhouse in Springfield, VA to our new single family home in Arlington. What a GREAT experience it was. The crew was FAST and Fabulous. Polite and a pleasure to work with. Not a single thing was broken. Please convey our heartfelt thanks to Abalardo, Cristobal, Martin and Juan and their manager. Thanks, we will always recommend you. And to top it off, the final cost was 30% less than the original estimate because they worked so fast.

We had a very fast closing, so it was difficult finding someone to do the job quickly. When I called and asked how soon, they replied, Today OK?. I had the choice of days and took two days from the time of my call. Given the limits of the job, they did a very good job. They arrived on time and went straight to work. The crew leader walked through the house with me and the crew, doing a mental checklist, asking questions, and answering mine. No scratches or incidents. Very quick considering they had to carry everything. I actually enjoyed the crew too. I did go to Dunkin Donuts before they arrived and got a half dozen donuts and bagels, a tub of coffee, and a selection of juice, ice tea, and cokes. They didnt touch it until a reasonable break time, then where very appreciative. I brought these with me to the move location. Top this off with a cost $200 less than estimate. I did tip each of the crew members at the end of the job. Search tipping movers online for guidelines.

Excellent experience. Respectable employees and great communication, nothing was broken or damaged. I cant say a bad thing about this company. Although I quoted 3,000 for cost, in actuality my husbands new job payed for the relocation.
