As far as moves go, it went better than expected. They showed up on time and operated with incredible efficiency, handled everything with care and they were finished within the time the estimator predicted. I will be using them again for our next move.

Everything with Town and Country went very well, everyone I dealt with was very professional and responsive, I did have a issue with a sub-contractor they sent to estimate my home for the move, however they responded to my complaint quickly and satisfactorily address all of my issues. We chose to go with them because I felt like we got an honest quote and they were easy to deal with. I felt like the hours that they said it would take, and the manpower that they said it would take seems very reasonable to me. It was very easy to have them come out to give me a quote. They were able to come out on a Saturday, which was easy for me. They haven't moved us yet. Jacky was good. They came when they were supposed to.

We've been very pleased with Town & Country. We've been extremely pleased. They're very thorough and professional. They are very organized. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. I would highly recommend them. Town & Country came over and they just gave us the estimate the next day. They called us to follow up. They were extremely prompt. When they said they were going to be there, they showed up. Everything was taken cared of very well. They're a couple of thousand dollars less than anyone else. I'm very impressed with them. It's a 4,000 square foot worth of house and it was beautifully done. They were right on top of it.

We had to move out of our townhouse and were in temporary housing until we found and closed on our new house. I interviewed 3 companies and Town and Country had the best overall ratings and cost plus a discount through Angie's List. They came highly recommended from several people. We had them move us into their storage, hold our belongings for 2 months and move us into our new home.The lead was very nice, professional, organized and helpful as was the rest of the team. There were very courteous to our neighbors and moved the big truck when needed, it didn't seem to slow them down at all. All the items were broken down, wrapped and padded with care as needed. When we moved in we walked through the house and gave each room a name so they knew where to go with everything. They rebuilt everything they had broken down and helped me place items and made sure they were exactly where I wanted them. A piece of furniture broke, likely due to the fact that it was a dresser with a cardboard style backing and not meant to be moved once put together, they went above and beyond and helped me fix it with a piece of plywood I had in the garage. The storage fees we very reasonable and they only charged me for the space I used.

They were the one service that provided me a quote right away before they left. The other services emailed it to me later. It seems that they have the sort of technology that allows them to give you a quote right away. If that sort of thing is important to a future client then they should know. I would use them in the future.

They quoted about $9,000 for the service if we were to use them. He went through every room and asked me what I was moving and what I wasn’t. He gave me options to move some things myself and talked about their packing process. We are moving to South Carolina and he talked about how long it would take them to get there. They were a good company. I had seen their rating on Angie’s List, and a number of people that I had talked to also suggested them. I think that they really know what they are talking about. They are very thorough and very personable. I wanted a specific date for delivery and they said it was fine. I have already got my contract all ready to go. We have to make a small down payment. They haven’t come and packed anything for me.

Our experience was awesome. They did exactly what they said they would do for the price that they quoted us. They were extremely professional and took great care of our possessions.

Town and Country Movers provided an estimate to ship my furniture from Washington DC to Bozeman MT. They arrived for pickup promptly on the morning of the arranged date, inventoried and wrapped every piece of furniture being shipped. In their inspection, they even pointed out a few things I had not noticed before. They were very professional and courteous. I was impressed how hard they worked and how thorough they were. On the evening before their scheduled day of arrival in Montana they called and provided a time they would arrive at my door. Right on time. They unloaded the truck, unwrapped the furniture, set up beds and tables etc. Took away their moving debris. I paid at delivery with my credit card. Easy transaction. They were very reasonably priced, prompt and professional. I would definitely use them again if needed.

This review is solely about the estimate process. I had an appointment for an estimate today at 11 am. No one had arrived or contacted me by 11:35 a.m. so I called the company. The person who answered was apologetic and offered to reschedule, but not wanting to repeat this scenario, I declined and told them to cancel. Within a few minutes I received a voicemail from Doug, who had been scheduled to do the estimate. In his message he never apologized or offered an explanation for his lateness and why had not contacted me, but wanted me to call to let him know if he should still come today. I didn't feel the need to give him the courtesy to return his call, when he had shown me no such courtesy. He apparently did come by around 12 p.m. after I had left for another appointment, as evidenced by the card he left. I would have accommodated a change in schedule if only I had received notification, and some expression of apology for wasting my time. Not yet sure what company I will hire for my move, but I know it will not be Town and Country.

They showed up on time and were friendly and responsive to what items were moving vs. staying in the home we were leaving. They were also responsive at the new home in asking where the furniture and boxes should be placed. However, the whole process seemed to take longer than we were expecting and one of the movers appeared to regularly be texting or talking on his phone throughout the day. In addition, a light switch was broken at the house we were moving out of. The broken piece was moved out of the way, indicating that someone knew what had happened. However, no one pointed it out to us. When we inquired about it on the day of the move, we were given verbal instructions about making a formal complaint to the company. Also, none of the legs were removed from chairs or couches, despite some tight squeezes up and down stairs. Our guess is that the light switch was broken in the process of moving a couch and might have been avoided if the legs had been removed.

Everything went extremely well. The employes are amazingly calm, polite and friendly. We talked to two sales persons,Brian the dispatcher and three teams (to pack, load and iunload). All have been working for the company for years and seemed very happy, which says a lot aboutTtown and Country. Drivers always called ahead to let us know the exact time of their arrival and gave us regular update of their progress on the road. Items were well packed, without three sheets of paper per teaspoon as we have experienced in the past, and everything arrived in excellent condition. My husband collects old cameras and he was a bit nervous but he was really happy at delivery and unpacking when every item turned out to be perfect. The quotes were pretty much in the range given. The move to CA costs actually LESS than planned! Something we dreaded turned out to be a very surprising pleasant and relaxing experience. We have recommended TandC to all our friends and our family. Wewill definitively use them again.

At the end of the move, they charged me $1250 over the estimate. That's right, over one thousand dollars over the estimate. I used Town & Country because I used the moving consultant on my prior move two years ago, when he owned his own company. He gave me an in-person estimate, and the pack and move came in at the estimated price. He gave me an in-person estimate this time that came in around the price for my prior move with him, which makes sense because I have about the same amount of stuff now. I received two other in-person estimates that were at or slightly below his price, but I went with him because I had such a good experience last time (and even though he was with Town & Country now, they got good reviews on Angie's list). The day of the pack came. The head packer warned me that they had packed more stuff than anticipated, so he thought we were going to go over the estimate. I said, OK, thinking we would maybe be a few hundred dollars over the estimate. But I got an in-person estimate for a reason. They knew how much stuff I had. The packers worked hard, packed everything very carefully, and thoroughly labeled each box. They took things out of drawers that movers usually leave in drawers. Very thorough. The day of the move came. They were over an hour late, which caused us to miss the noon end of the reserved block for my move-out freight elevator (which I warned them about several times, including the head packer, who was head of the moving team as well). They did a thorough and careful job. They took apart pieces of furniture that have never been taken apart in the 25 years that I have been moving them. Everything arrived in beautiful condition, the movers worked hard and were pleasant and helpful. Then it came time to sign the final bill. At that point, there is nothing you can do. I reached out to my moving consultant but have yet to receive a response. They charged my credit card for the full final bill (again, over $1K over the estimated price) on Monday. I would not use them again. I would not have used them if they had quoted me anything close to what they charged me.

They were very responsive. They contacted us immediately to set up appointment to see our items. Jackie came out as scheduled and was on time. She was very caring and pleasant. We got the estimate as promised. Everything was very reasonable and we felt comfortable with them. I was able to call and ask questions. They came on time as scheduled. They were very careful with all of our furniture, boxes, etc. They kept in touch with emails and phone calls concerning delivery and came on the day we requested. Everything was unloaded carefully and skillfully. We were very happy with Carlos and his crew. We had a few things scratched and/or dented but minor compared to some moves we've made with other moving companies. It was a pleasure dealing with Town and Country and we won't hesitate to use them again, if needed, and refer others to them.

We couldn't have hoped for a smoother move. Mark came out promptly to provide an estimate and we were impressed by the thorough approach he took to evaluating our needs and describing how Town &Country would meet them. Town & Country wasn't the lowest estimate we received, but they were the ones who impressed us the most. In the end, the cost was over $1000 lower than the estimate, making their total price totally competitive with the other movers we talked to. The packing team braved 9 inches of snow on the day we had scheduled for packing, and were only an hour late in arriving! We were surprised they arrived at all since snow was still falling. They completed the packing of our 3 level house in under 8 hours. I don't think I've ever seen such a well coordinated and fast moving crew. We're still unpacking, but have only discovered 1 bent lamp shade so far, so their speed did not indicate careless packing - just the opposite, I don't think I've ever had a move without a scratch. Billy and his moving crew were amazing. They worked a very long day to pack out the house, and then drove to Richmond to be ready to deliver to the new house the following day. The new house is large and complicated like many old houses are, but they unloaded everything, moved it to where it needed to go, reassembled everything, and even moved some things between floors multiple times when we couldn't make up our minds where they should go. So far, we have yet to discover any damage other than a minor rub mark on one chair which was easily fixed. I can't say enough about how satisfied we are with this move. I highly recommend Town & Country!

Overall, I was very pleased with how things went. The consultation went well, the actual move was smooth, and subsequent correspondence with the company has been great. I have recommended this company to others and would use them again.

It was perfect. They moved everything in my house including items I had in a storage unit in Alexandrria, VA. They were extremely professional. Although I did most of the packing myself, the articles they packed such as mirrors, glass and aa large flat screen TV were done meticulously. When they arrived with my household contents, THey placed it where I wanted it. Everything arrived in perfect condition and I had no damage. I definitely would use them again in the future!

Town & Country will be the only movers I ever use in the future! I was extremely hesitant to use movers again because when I moved into my home our last set of movers broke nearly everything that could be broken, but Town & Country were fantastic. They came out to do a written estimate of how much it would cost to move everything and store it (an estimate they stuck to, the price didn't go up at all) and in the conversations I had then, I know I would use them. I was assigned Carlos' crew, and if you get Carlos when you move, you know you will be in good hands! The amount of care that they took moving all of my furniture and the boxes I had packed, as well as protecting my hardwood floors, was extremely impressive. I was having hardwood floors installed, which prompted the temporary move-out, and Carlos even gave me tips on what I would need for the furniture to avoid scratching the new floors when they were moved back in, and he and his crew installed all of those felt pads on every piece of furniture in my house. And there hasn't been a single scratch as a result! Town & Country will be the only movers I ever use now... Carlos and his crew actually restored my faith in movers (and they even do interstate and international moves, apparently!) I definitely recommend Town & Country to everyone!

Making the appointment was very easy and smooth. Monday, March 3rd was the day before the the actual appointment and being that there was a big snow storm, I had to stay home from work. This meant that I had to go into the office the day of the appointment (March 4th), so I had to re-schedule. I left a voice message explaining the cancellation. I was contacted by the company the day of the original appointment confirming it, so they obviously didn't get the message. However, they were still very accommodating and understanding of the change and I was re-scheduled for Wednesday, March 5th between 9am-9:30am. 9:45 am rolls around and they have not arrived yet. I get a call shortly after asking if I'm in Columbia. I said "No, Baltimore," and I re-capped our previous interactions. The person from the company essentially said that that was impossible and that he had an appointment for someone in Columbia at that time. To me it was unreal that he didn't simply say, "I'm sorry, I double-booked you, can we re-schedule," but rather argued with me as if I were wrong. I consider that extremely poor customer care and if they treat me like that prior to doing business, that's enough reason for me to go with another organization.

They were excellent. They were very careful with all of our things and competitive with price. They were great!

They were very responsive, packed everything extremely well, and were very good about keeping in touch. We didn't have any problems at all.

The move went very well. The movers in particular were very careful with our furniture and other possessions. Since we had just installed new carpeting in the upper level of our house, they took precautions to avoid tracking up the new carpeting. They were efficient, and moved the entire household in a day. The movers were really aware of their surroundings, and they did not bump or scrape items on walls, doorways, or ceilings. They placed furniture and other heavy objects in the locations we specified. The company subcontracted the job of disassembling and re-assembling a custom-built entertainment center, since it could not be physically moved as a unit. The subcontractor did a great job, assembling the entertainment center in the room where it would be used. We felt that the movers treated us and our possessions with respect, and we would highly recommend Town and Country movers to others who are in the process of changing their residence.
