Andrew came for estimate on my trees and work on my neighbor's tree overhanging in my yard. Told me to get permission from neighbor after describing work he would perform on tree and all that would be included which was trimming dead limbs and also a live limb overhanging my roof. I described the work to be performed by Care of Trees as described by Andrew to me to be a trim of dead limbs and also one live limb overhanging my roof. I told neighbor price of estimate and neighbor agreed to work and price. Andrew then approached my neighbor and quoted him to do work on dead limbs on same tree for almost same price in estimate. Care of Trees came an pruned the dead limbs on my neighbor's tree as well as live limb on same tree as Andrew and I discussed in my estimate. Andrew then charged my neighbor for estimate given to me and estimate given to neighbor claiming estimate for me was only live limb and estimate for neighbor was only dead limbs. Essentially my neighbor.was charged twice for all work on one tree. My estimate clearly indicated more than just the.live limb overhanging my roof was to be trimmed. As well Andrew didnt promptly schedule the pruning to occur in 2 weeks. I had to contact him 3 weeks later to find out when pruning would occur. Andrew scheduled the work and never confirmed the date and simply had the crew show up without notice when I was not home. Further the clean up of the work was incomplete. Tree cuttings were left in my yard. 3rd and last time using Care of Trees. Lack of customer service and then switch & bait tactics of Andrew are not excusable.

They did a fantastic job with my tree. Trimmed branches away from my neighbors' houses, and from a neighborhood tree. Removed excessive branches from the body of the tree. Really professional and very thorough. My tree looks great! A few hundred dollars less than a quote that I got from my landscapers too.

i filled out the form on their website to contact me regarding a diagnosis i need on my evergreens. No answer. My wife called 2 times and no one answers; went right to a recording. Never got a call back. Won't try again; shouldn't have to beg for a simple call back.

The supervisor was very thoughtful, intelligent, and professional when it came to my job. He communicated very well with me about what he thought needed to be done. His team was very professional, quick, and kept my yard clean. They were very considerate about their surrounding when doing the job.

Went well, while I didn't have all the recommended work done what they did was fine. I asked them to drop limbs in a specific area to protect plantings and they did.

They did a good job. They did what was asked of them, and clean up afterwards.

They were the mid price of three quotes I obtained. Mr Walker came by and was very thorough in the review of the property and trees. Provided two options for us. Worked with us to make sure we had the latest insurance information for his company (as the workers were going a good distance up the trees. Had to reschedule once due to weather and they worked with us on the new date and time. Workers were waiting to start in the morning as they came before 8am! They trimmed the trees, and picked up all the cuttings. They were finished with 2-3 hours. Liked the work and workers were friendly. Would use them again.

They were timely and did a good job. I would recommend them.

Our experience turned out very well. They were very professional, reliable, and had the necessary equipment. We gave them one really tough one after a storm about a year ago; it was a huge old oak tree and had lodged itself on another tree. They handled that expertly; we watched the whole thing. That is one reason we use them; they are well trained, there is a lot of in-house training, and they use vendors and other people to help to train their people. They are very organized. They are not cheap but we get what we pay for in that business in my experience. We use them a lot in Florida too; they are a national chain. In both cases they have been excellent. They are not outrageously expensive for what they do. I think the quality is quite high.

They've done wonderful work here. They've been reliable, fair and confident.

We used them before as well. They come out and they hand you their license to tell you that they are certified. They just have a good reputation in our neighborhood. They were fine. They give you a quote and that’s what they do. I think they are reasonable on their price.

Estimate given but we went with someone closer. I said we'd use them again to complete the survey. Can't say I wouldn't, but the closer company worked out fine, so I'd use them first.

Provider arrived and completed the work on the scheduled appointment. The tree was trimmed and shaped as requested and resulted in a nice look of the tree. The crew performed a quality clean up of the site. Price was good.

No estimate was provided because we both agreed it was not necessary. He was incredibly honest and specific. He identified danger spots, mostly in neighbors yards. He picked out several places where things could be done, however, suggested the city or power company deal with the issue because it was technically their problem, not mine. He did not recommend work that wasn't necessary. Excellent discussions, frank and honest, as well as knoweldgeable about future issues or concerns.

Very professional. I got 3 separate bids. Davey Tree was the middle bid, but I was sold by their estimator/tree expert that came to my house. He spent a a lot of time with me, provided suggestions, and thoroghly itemized the estimate in case there were some things I didn't wan't to do. When scheduled, the crew arrived on time, were very professional. Cleaned up after themselves pretty well.. Overall. I was pleased with the work performed.

I was notified about a week beforehand when the work would be done. The crew arrived on time, walked the property with me to be sure they understood the scope of the work and what I expected. They cleaned up and removed all tree limbs, branches and other debris. They were great.

I have been very pleased with Davey Tree's arborist, John Blake who works with me and answers any questions/concerns I have about the care of my tree, regarding pruning, watering, leaf drop, etc.

They were very responsive and fast. They provided an estimate to us for all of the projects we had and were onsite completing them within a matter of days. They pruned 3 large trees, removed 2 stumps and pulled a 20-year old shrub out for us; the areas they worked were spotless when they left. I would definitely use them again.

I called early in the week for an appointment. The person who answered the phone was nice and professional. She gave me an appointment for 10:30 AM on 6/28/13. No one showed up. Not sure where this company received their positive reviews from.

We requested the deal described in the coupon (free inspection). Care of Trees confirmed an appointment with us for today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. Arborist did not show. Call to Care of Trees showed no record of our appointment. Very disappointed, and skeptical of the Angie's List coupons going forward.

When I called the main number on their website (301.880.1224) the representative said they don't service my area. She told me to write down the number for their Chantilly office (703-327-9060) because they do. When I called the Chantilly office the representative said the same thing, they don't service my area. I told the representative I was just referred to them, and she told me sorry... and that the Gaithersburg office should service my area. So I wrote down their number (301-869-6884). When I called them they also said they do not service my area and told me the Chantilly office does. I told them I just got off the phone with the Chantilly office and they told me they don't service my area. She told me she was sorry about that.... but there was nothing she could do. I didn't bother to call the Chantilly office back. I had a feeling they would also just say sorry there's nothing we can do.

It is going very well. The staff is great.

We contacted several local tree service companies to have three large and two small stumps ground below grade in our backyard. The estimates ranged from 1200- 450 dollars. Some of them flat out refused to do the job as they did not think it would be possible to bring the stump grinder where the stumps were located. The arborist from The Care of Trees was very responsive right from the first phone call, he came in and provided the most reasonable estimate. He responded to all our emails promptly. The office staff was very professional in handling some of our concerns. The technician came on time, was very polite and professional and got the work done in a very timely and efficient manner. We are very pleased with their services and would be using them for all our future tree-related needs.

An expert came to evaluate an old oak tree that has broken branches. He gave quotes for treatment. They came back in Spring 2013 to begin the treatment. Time will tell; so far the tree looks healthy.

This Spring the tree is a whole new tree. It has responded well to the care. I will have Care of Trees out again this fall to repeat the fertilization.
