I used them to re-hang a gutter and do some gutter repair. Overall, the job went well. They were efficient. They were able to do the job in a short time span.

The scheduling and response for the estimate was easy and professional. Brad Young provided a good explanation of the options and process. Once I signed the contract however, I had to do the calling - twice - to find out when the crew was going to arrive. This was really my only annoyance with this company. Each project involved a different crew arriving on a different day. I can't get on a ladder to check the work, but the leaking has stopped, and from a distance the roof work looks good. They were good about picking up construction debris. I will definitely consider this company when getting estimates for the unavoidable roof replacement in the near future.

They were able to do the estimate when I wasn't home and told me I needed to replace a section of gutter but not the downspout. They were able to come close enough to matching my existing color. On the day of the installation they worked efficiently and neatly and were finished in a couple of hours. They also put a new bracket on the existing downspout. I was very pleased with their ability to do this repair at a reasonable cost.

The manager came out to make an estimate, and in addition to the changes I wanted to the drainage, he also suggested a few other steps they could make to reroute the water as well. Their estimate was in the same range as the others quotes I got, and their expertise and responsiveness made me decide to go with them instead of strictly with the lowest bidder. There was some brief confusion, and initially the drainage was not re-routed like I'd asked, but when I brought that to their attention, they apologized and fixed it immediately. Despite that, they still finished the project on-time and kept to the estimated price. The new gutters seem to have handled the recent rain and snow quite well, and I'm very pleased with how the project came out.

I had an excellent experience with Shanco from start to finish. I called and received a return call very quickly during which I described what I needed. They came out and and within a day I had an estimate sitting in my email box. They called to make sure I had received it and to make sure I understood one aspect of the estimate that was subject to what they would find when they started the job. Their estimate was at the lower end of the range that I received but I chose them based on the quality of communication and their straightforward, professional manner. I signed the contract and the work was immediately scheduled for the beginning of the following week. They showed up on time, performed the work, cleaned up and were gone before I even knew they were there. The work was perfectly performed, matching the existing gutters in all respects. There were no weak spots in their service. It was a confidence inspiring experience from start to finish.

Of the three companies I spoke with I thought they did the best investigation and had the clearest idea of what the problem was because it wasn't a stright forward problem. They came up with what I thought was a good solution. Originally I was told it would be 2-3 weeks but it ended up being 6 weeks which was pretty rough on us. Update: They are still fabulous

The price was good for what they had to do, it was in line with what we expected it to be. It was a younger owner and he really, really took pride in his company and the work they did. What we really liked is that he was prompt in getting back to us and getting us a quote. They did a wonderful job. We were home when they did the work and we looked at it and you couldn't even tell they had done anything. If you didn't know they were there you wouldn't have known there was any work done at all. They did an excellent job, looking at the landscaping nothing was disturbed. It was great. It's good quality for the money, they are very professional in interacting with their customers, they are trustworthy and reliable.

Everything went really well. Brad came out to do an estimate for the work. He was professional, courteous and informative. He provided a quote quickly that was exactly what i asked for. The weather in days prior to the day that the work was scheduled was bad and they had to push the work back one day. They called a day early and let me know that they wanted to delay, but were willing to work with me for the new day. The work proceeded on the rescheduled day. The workers were really friendly, and completed the work as scheduled. They cleaned up after themselves. I am satisfied with everything. We had a giant rainstorm last night and the gutters worked.

The quality of the work performed by the subcontractor was outstanding. Shanco provided a thank you gift following the completion of the work. Unfortunately, a separate subcontractor for the roof job was originally a no-show on the scheduled day, so that project was delayed by a week. That delay was frustrating. I would recommend this provider to others.

Michael Hilderbrand, the project manager, arrived at my home at the appointed time with samples. He impressed me as being very knowledgeable and NICE. He didn't use scare tactics as did two other gentlemen; he didn't bully me into signing a contract on the spot. Instead, he gave me good information explaining the mechanics of a new gutter system. The receptionist has also been very helpful and courteous assuring me that any concern I had would be shared with Mike immediately. The men arrived at the scheduled day and completed the work in just a few hours. When I had to call back with a concern that was created because of a roof configuration that is not optimal, the company was totally responsive. I needed still one more visit; the crew was at my house within the hour of my phone call and worked in the rain to provide a fix. What must be understood is that the ensuing problem was not due to the gutter work but was a result of my roof that needs replacing. Still, the Shanco crew came immediately to help me out. I will certainly be considering them for our next project -- replacing the roof. AND how can I not mention that not only did they send a thank you note after the work was done, they also sent COOKIES. Fantastic company!!!!

Dan Haske, the company representative, provided a quick and complete repair estimate. The work was completed in about half a day. The repairs are essentially invisible, both inside and out. I would recommend Shanco for work of this type without reservation.

They called and said that it as going to be less than the estimate because when they got there the guys on the job said that the gutter itself wasn't damaged and didn't need to be replaced so it came in about $280 less than the estimate. They were very backed up and it took them about a month to do the job. I actually called another place that was backed up even longer. I knew that going in.

Initial visit for estimate was very prompt (called to advise a 10 min delay due to traffic!) and professional. Estimate was furnished in detail with company license and insurance information and extensive list of references. Work men including subcontractors arrived as scheduled, were very careful, cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly and even sent a thank you note and box of cookies!! I would highly recommend them and use them again. The actual price was less that estimated by the insurance company including the shower/ceiling work which was not included in the insurance estimate. Only minor issue with phone call return but when I called, the information requested was promptly furnished and call-back received.

Shanco provided us with an estimate for window replacement, roof replacement, and gutter replacement. We decided to use another company (found on Angie's list) for windows and roofing, and to use Shanco for guttering. We were favorably impressed by the detailed analysis. We had some trouble in getting timely call-back or email responses and the general communication follow-through was not very good. However I am confident about the quality of work they do.

Good experience. Came out for an estimate as scheduled, and shortly thereafter after getting our go-ahead, sent a professional crew out to do the work.

They were friendly over the home and made an appointment for the estimate. Mike showed up right on time and was helpful, professional and friendly. He took lots of pictures and gave me good suggestions. He said it would take a day or two to get me an estimate. I said I absolutely had to have it by 8/23 as that was when the insurance claims adjustor was coming out to observe the damage and determine payment. Mike promised he would do so and left with me thinking this was the company I would hire. But I never received the estimate, despite calling three times. It ended up hurting me financially as I only got a small amount from the adjustor, and I'm finding it's not enough as I"m not working with other companies. I shouldn't have relied on their word to meet my deadline -- even though asking for an estimate within 12 days after viewing the property doesn't seem unreasonable.

I was very pleased at first. The new roof and skylights were installed within a day as promised. In February, after the big snow storm, the roof began to leak. The company honored their workmanship warranty but it took many tries to get them to come out and look at the roof. After they finally came out, they caulked up some rotted trim which is where the water was getting in. I asked them to come out and give me an estimate for replacing all my exterior trim, but they never followed through on that. I was very pleased with the service I got from them when I was able to actually get service from them, but I am not going to bother contacting them again as I no longer think it worth the 5 messages I need to leave to get someone to return my call.

Excellent. Mike was on time for his appointment to do the estimate. The crew showed up at the appointed time about a week later and did the work. I didn't need to be here. They also inspected all of the remaining gutters and were honest enough to report that there wasn't any other work that needed to be done other than cleaning some debris in the gutters.

They put in a retainer type of device which has been successful for the most part. They want to come back to possibly put more in. We increased the size of the downspouts and chutes. They are a great company to work with. They were very professional, were on time and did a fine job. They said they would arrive at a certain time and did so.

They were fine. It took a little longer to do the roof part because we had bad weather and they got behind on the schedule. My roof isn?t leaking anymore and the fan hasn?t fallen out so I assume they did a good job.

They did an excellent job. We are extremely happy with the installation. The door is made with highly quality.

They did a really good. They have use high quality materials and looks beautiful. The supervisory work is good through out the entire process.

The men came on time, were very efficient in completing their work, and cleaned up completely. The gutter installation looks very nice---and was very neatly done. It seems to be a very quality installation. I highly recommend this company.

Overall, it was very good. They were extremely busy because of the snow storms, but when they finally came, they did what they could. They did have to order a few additional parts, so we still have work pending with them. Their work does include a 1-year workmanship quality guarantee. They also gave us a discount for being Angie's List members.
