They did a good job. The guy came out quickly and did the job. I thought the pricing was fair. They were on time and responsive. They did the work just as they said they would. Just one worker came and he cleaned up after themselves. It only took him a couple hours to complete the job.

They have a good website. They arrived on time to discuss a proposal. However, their abilities did not match our revised needs.

They did a great job. They came out in freezing weather and kept working till it was done. Very professional, there was a lot more damage than was seen front the outside and they pointed out all of the damage. Shanco did a much better job repairing my siding than the original installers did.

Outstanding job! This is the second time we have employed Shanco. The company installed new gutters in 2013 and replaced our roof in 2017. We were very pleased with their work in both instances. Brad did some amazing detective work in pinpointing problems. Our new roof looks fantastic! We highly recommend this company.

We had talked about doing some shutters over the windows and some drywall but we haven't heard from them. They need to follow up on things that were promised by the representative. There were a ton of nails on the ground, but I don't think they could do anything about that. It is part of the process.

Lot of mess and minor damage done by crew. They were late and final work needed minor adjusting.

Excellent. I interviewed 3 companies, all from Angie's List. They were the only company to go up and actually look at my roof, as I was having a leaking problem. Shanco did not do the hard sell, not offering me a reduced price if I sign "right now", I don't do business that way. I received a proposal via email in a few days after our appointment. It was less than a thousand dollars from my lowest "sign right now" estimate, and many thousands less than Long. The roof was replaced within weeks of our first appointment, installed in one day, and responded to an issue the next day. Fabulous company. They even sent a box of cookies a few weeks after the installation. Nice touch.

From booking the appointment to have Dan, one of their sales reps, come out to give us a quote and assess the scope of work to completion, Shanco was a delight to work with. Everyone I've interacted with there has been nothing short of friendly, polite and professional. Dan did a great job explaining the work that needs to be done, what kind of options were available for replacements. He answered all of my questions with patience. The crew arrived right on time, and did a great job on the install. They were meticulous in their work and left the job site clean when they finished. The skylights and roofing look great. The most amazing part of the whole experience is that they were the least expensive bid that I got for the work. They are a rare find and I can't recommend them enough!

The repair was completed. It was satisfactory. Since Shanco said that it needed to buy the whole box of the sidings, the total charge would be on the high side ($625) for such a small repair and replacement of sidings. And it did take Shanco a while (45 days) to show up and do the repair (11/14) after signing (09/30) the contract. I will certainly consider to use Shanco for a much larger repair project in the future.

Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Dan was very thorough in his product descriptions; I pretty much knew what I wanted so he just cut to the chase and didn't waste time trying to sell me anything else. He mentioned some info that other contractors never bothered to bring up (I never would have thought to remove delicate 2nd-floor wall decor or cover stored items in the attic "just in case" of vibrations or dust on the day of the job). The crew that delivered the products the evening before was efficient. Robby and his installation crew worked hard all day starting at 7 am sharp; they were back promptly the next morning and cleaned up everything as promised. Robby let me know how things were progressing throughout the day and sent pictures of the work; he took time to answer our questions and educate us about the original builder's quality roof vs. the new roof & materials they were installing. Follow up from Shanco was appreciated.

Shanco was great. They gave me an estimate very promptly. The coordinated their work with my schedule. They did the work promptly and well and cleaned up after themselves. I look forward to working with them again on other projects.

Despite delays from spring rains, they kept to their original time slot for my work. The crew was efficient and did a thorough clean-up. The supervisor was prompt in addressing my concerns about black flecks from melted tar (it as a hot day) on my siding, and he promptly removed them. I am very satisfied with the work. My cooling bills have gone down considerably since the work was done , even in the terrible heat waves we've been having.

The services were delayed at first but once they got here they worked through a thunderstorm which was a pleasant surprise. They cleaned up after the job was complete and I enjoy the new roof that I received. I was able to make payment arrangements with the company which I greatly appreciated.

When we decided to replace our cedar roof and two sky lights, we took our time getting quotes and researching companies. We ended up with seven quotes. Shanco was somewhere in the middle cost-wise. What really set them apart for us was their customer service and the depth of their knowledge of cedar shingles and the installation requirements involved. Brad is a genuine, non-pushy, and knowledgeable sales person. Our roofing supervisor, Jack, was also great. Jack was patient (I tend ask a lot of questions), professional, and went above and beyond our expectations to make sure we were happy with the job. The crew was fast, efficient and friendly. We are very happy with Shanco and the job they did. Highly recommend.

My previous gutters are old and leaks. The roof at the front entrance leaks when the roof is covered by ice in winter. Some shingles are damaged. So I contacted Shanco. Michael Hildebrand is very responsive and knowledgeable. Initially I was thinking to replace the whole roof. He came in, checked the situation and told me the roof is only about 12 years old. there is no need to replace it. I appreciate his honesty. He gave me a quote to remove and replace two roof sections, replace/repair sliding or damaged shingles, replace the gutter and install gutter screen. The work comes with 5 year warranty. The price is fair. So I signed the contract. The crew came in on time. They are polite and professional. The gutter and screen were installed by a sub-contractor. They left a lot of nails on the grass and ground. I contacted Shanco. They came in and cleaned the next day. The work was finished in October 2015. In the winter, after snow the roof was covered by snow and ice. The roof leaked again. Once the ice melted, the leaking stops. I contacted Shanco and told them what happened. In March, they sent the crew to my house and repaired the roof without additional charges. My problem is gutter screen. The new EZ lock gutter screens are very nice. But somehow the small leaves pass it and get into the gutter. My previous gutter screen are much simpler, but no small leaves got into the gutter. I talked with Michael. He shoed me how to open the screens and cleaned the leaves. It appears there is no easy solutions regarding how to solve it. It appears I have to open the screen every year and clean it at several locations. I will try to live with it to see how it goes.

I called Shanco because I remembered their giving a thorough and free inspection several years ago when I thought I had a roof problem but didn't. Brad, project assessor and estimator, came the next day and inspected the roof from inside and outside. He identified the ridge vent as the cause of the leak but also found an area of rippling shingles. He answered all my questions about the contract proposal. I signed and sent a 1/3 deposit 10 days later. The work was delayed by winter weather but I was kept informed. Finally on the agreed day the crew arrived promptly. I went to work and came home to a new roof. Their work looks great and they left no debris on the lawn. Summary: Shanco Cos. did a professional job with quality materials for a reasonable price. Everyone I spoke to (Brad, Kim, Chrissie and the crew leader) was upfront, informative and always courteous. Highly recommended.
