Description of Work: Answered and paid $50 for Rec Room design services . My expectation was an interoir designer. Paid for a design, got a $25K quote to re do my basement in the EXACT same configuration, no design changes. When asked how they would design, the answer was "What can you do down here?" They are after recroom jobs and provide NO design services, not to mention a rediculously high price. Arrogant also, by the way/. A total come on/bait and switch.

Sometimes there is nothing we can do to redesign a certain space due to existing limitations. This person had a great design in a basement that could not be easily redesigned so we suggested a face lift. We are sorry her expectations were not met. We wish her the best in all she does. Thanks for the lengthy review. It must have been aggrevating to learn we could not help you. Best of luck. If you want your money returned, please call Angie's List. If you would like additional work done, please let us know.

It didn't.
Description of Work: I had to cancel my initial appointment because of weather related traffic issues. I called more than two hours prior to appointment. Representative said he would forward the information to the person scheduled to meet with me. He called me while I was en route home and I informed him there was no way I would be able to get home in time and without my calendar in front of me I could not reschedule. He was supposed to call me the next day to reschedule, but I never heard from him again. I assumed that he didn't need my business. I selected another contractor and my job was completed quickly and to my great satisfaction.

I (Alan Stevens) personally spoke to the client who canceled her initial appointment due to the threat of rain. It never rained that day but she was too scared to drive in dry weather to make our appointment. I offered to reschedule tentatively due to the fact she did not have a calender at the time. She refused. Is it our responsibility to track down every caller who cancels? What I don't understand is how some people cannot take responsibility for their own actions. We really enjoy working with reasonable people but to receive a bad grade for an appointment canceled by the prospect demonstrates the exact reason the internet reporting has its strengths and weaknesses. We wish her the best in all of her endeavors and are thrilled she found someone to complete her job. Thanks for your feedback.

Overall "A" plus.
Description of Work: Premier HomePro renovated my entire home. Starting with a shell, burned out by fire, Premier Homepro developed a plan, removed all the burned out materials, remodeled the entire interior and exterior to include all new electrical wiring, plumbing, air conditioning, drywall, trim, paint, one kitchen, 4 bathrooms and more. They had to insert new trusses in the roof and re roof the entire roof where there had been a gaping hole. The home looks great and we are very pleased. From start to finish, they were great to work with.

Description of Work: We signed a contract with Premier Homepro to have them renovate our townhouse bathroom. We made clear at the first appointment that my wife wanted a soaking tub and that was one of the primary reasons for the renovation. In August we were informed by Mr. Stevens that due to his serious physical impairments his company was unable to do this relatively small job. We did not hire Premier Homepro just to do the physical work. We also expected guidance and advice from them, as anyone would from any contractor. However, when we asked them to let us know whether there were any problems with a particular tub that was going to be ordered online, we did not receive a negative response so we assumed the tub was ok and Premier Homepro ordered it. However, after delivery we learned the tub would not work in our bathroom. Therefore, the tub had to be returned and there were charges in the amount of hundreds of dollars for returning the tub. We asked Premier Homepro to pay those expenses, but they refused. Also, after discussing a vanity for the bathroom, Premier HomePro ordered it. They received proposals from the vanity builder and also received drawings. Premier Homepro approved those drawings without even letting us know the drawings existed and without checking them against our bathroom. After the vanity was built, we learned from the builder that the vanity would have to be modified because of various problems, including toilet and vent placement. Those renovations to the vanity will cost money, but Premier Homepro told us that they will not contribute to those expenses. When we told them that they should pay because they did not give us good advice concerning either the tub or the vanity, Mr. Stevens emailed me and said he saw things differently and he also emailed saying that the contract stated that the customer would provide the fixtures. In other words, Mr. Stevens indicated that he was not responsible for giving us bad advice. In fact, Mr. Stevens was incorrect; the contract did not say what he claimed. In addition, I was shocked at the company's continued contentions that they were not hired to give competent advice and, therefore, that they were not responsible for giving bad advice. Mr. Stevens did email me and asked me to call him to discuss the matter, but it was clear from his emails where he stood. He refunded the deposit he said he thought he owed, which did not include any costs for the vanity or the return of the tub; if he wanted to send more to us, he could have done so and sent a confirming email. I did not think there was any point is a telephone discussion when he said in an email "he saw things differently", and the outcome of the telephone conversation was clear in advance. We have hired a new contractor.

To all who read this rebuttal: First and foremost, we thank the Member for a truly memorable experience. Every so often, we find folks who can't be satisfied no matter what we do. Both Members are attorneys so we were always in fear of something like this. The agreement with the Member states two things that are pertinent here. One, the down payment was specified but they never sent the entire down payment so we operated with only a partial payment in good faith but outside of the terms of the contract. The second more relevant issue is that the agreement stated. "Owner Selected or Owner Provided" materials. For MONTHS, we worked hard to help them select a tub, a custom vanity, fixtures, tile and more. Unfortunately in this case, they had difficulty making selections. So much so that the vanity light fixture alone was ordered and sent back three times. Our designers spent hours with them selecting tile, a custom vanity etc and each time the order was delivered into stock, each person involved was accused of ordering the wrong materials, the wrong configuration, the wrong color or the wrong style. Honestly, how can so many different people be wrong? The tile sales person was wrong, the cabinet designer was wrong, we were wrong and now we are incompetent and unreliable. Truthfully, we just wanted to move on to a less stressful environment for health reasons. Life's too short to suffer needlessly. In an effort to maintain a solid relationship with the Members, we asked to be let out of the contract, delivered all the materials they selected and sent them the remaining balance (to the penny) immediately without adding any markup at all. All and all, we did our very best to make them happy but..... In an era when many companies don't try very hard, we go our of our way. When all else fails, its better to move on. We wish both the Members and they new contractor the best of luck. Thank you for your feedback.
The member was referred to our company by a client who had us remodel an entire Brownstone in Washington DC where we also did four bathrooms, two kitchens, fireplaces, hardwood floors and paint. Jason had a specific look in mind with dark cabinets and Uba Tuba Granite Counters. One project led to the next. We also installed Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors, Shaker style cabinets and stainless appliances. The kitchen looks great. He liked our work so much that last week he asked us to install a patio in his front yard. Thanks for the nice report!
