Super helpful guy. Called back right away. Said he was sorry that they don't service our area, but listened to the issue over the phone. Explained the why's and how's and suggested a simple remedy from home depot. All for free! That is truly wonderful costumer service.

I love to help people. Too often today, true customer service is lost in automated answering systems, unknowledgeable customer service reps and folks who are only out to make a buck. Call me anytime on my cell phone if you have a question about home remodeling and I will be happy to answer it for free. In the case of this call-in, this client had a home inspection on a home she was trying to purchase. The inspector told her her roof trusses were sagging because the manufacturer had left out the support structure. In fact, the home inspector did not realize (or know - even worse) that the roof had large rafters in it and no support bracing was necessary. In fact, the only problem was that they sagged a bit from being installed upside down. Each board has a natural curve on one edge or the other that should always be placed upwards when installed in a roof or on the floor. That way, the weight being placed on it levels it out. If installed with the curve down, the board continues to bow and the curve is accentuated. That being said, in her case the roof looked like it was sagging from the exterior. Unskilled and uneducated carpenters do not know this trick and too often these days walls and roofs sag. It is not really a structural defect, but does create sagging finishes. After she described her problem, I had her send me the inspection report, looked it over and gave her a few very helpful tips which made her morning complete and relieved her concerns about her upcoming purchase. Ironically, home inspectors are often not wiz kids and do not have true construction experience therefore, as is often the case, make erroneous statements when doing the pre sale inspection. I have to say, I get a certain level of satisfaction giving out free advice. Pay it forward and the blessings pour in from the universe. I hope more people see the value of giving me a call for free advice. I can be reached at 240 223 7034. Alan Stevens, President, Premier HomePro. After interviewing three remodeling companies I chose Premier Home Pro because they could start the soonest, were the best price and I felt would do a good job. Also the estimate was "complete" and the other companies wanted me to supply additional items - like kitchen cabinets. The project involved putting in an egress window with drain system and pipes going through to my sump pump, moving a wall with plumbing, hvac and electric, sound proofing and new ceiling, framing a bedroom and kitchen, putting in new cabinets, granite countertops, laying new flooring, carpeting and framing out stairs, putting in access door for storage, running cable and phone lines, putting additional heating in wall, new lighting, new doors and painting walls and stairway. The contractor, Brian Matthews was very easy to work with and flexible when I requested some changes or modifications. He offered up some suggestions that I hadn't thought of. Living in an older house there are usually some surprises or unanticipated problems - so when they came up Brian handled them quite smoothly and without much adjustment or sometimes none to my total bill. There was no nickel and diming which I have run into with other companies. He paid alot of attention to detail and gave me some things that I didn't expect. His men were knowledgeable, respectful and hard working and have all been with him for many years. They also cleaned up everyday when they were done. The renovation turned out better than I expected. I now have a very comfortable, modern apartment with beautiful floors, cabinets and granite countertops. I would not hesitate to hire Premier Home Pro for any future renovations.
Description of Work: Basement was changed from an "old rec room" to a new one bedroom apartment.

The work was exceptional. I have used Angie's List exclusively over the last few years to find contractors for various renovation projects and Premier HomePro was the best contractor by far that i have worked with. Brian Matthews was very helpful in helping me think through the renovation and was incredibly responsive to my requests. I was particularly impressed with how he kept me up to date on the progress of the project. His crew of Hector and his son were clearly experts at what they were doing. Incredibly conscientious and responsive to my requests. They took great pride in their work. Thew showed up on time every day and were very industrious. I was really impressed with their professionalism. Brian Matthews gave me daily updates on the job's progress and frequently called or texted me to solicit my feedback. I was very impressed with how well they cleaned up their work area each day, minimizing the mess as best they could. In one bedroom they took down a wall to make what was two small rooms into one large bedroom. Premier HomePro was very particular about laying down new flooring that matched the old flooring and was exacting in getting the floor stain the right color. I felt i got great value for the money I spent. I would recommend Premier HomePro unequivocally.
Description of Work: Premier HomePro renovated three bedrooms as well as laid a new wood flooring downstairs in the hallway and two bedrroms. In addition, Premier put in a new stone foyer entrance way, removing layers of old flooring. They also replaced a wrought iron staircase banister with a wooden banister. In the downstairs bedrooms, they removed old paneling, added insulation and then replaced the paneling with drywall, then painted both rooms. In the upstairs bedroom they took down a wall to make two small rooms into one large bedroom.

Most of companies did not even reply or decline to help me because this is too small jobs for them. I can fix small hole in wall myself. ( I renovate all kitchen my self and I just placed drywall ) My concern was few cracks share same wall and getting worse every year and this might be a sign of structure or foundation problem. Only company who responded right away and gave me knowledge was Premier Home . I was so appreciated respond. This will help me and my husband to make decision what to do. He could say something to scare me and could get job ( even job might be small or potential to be big ) but he was very honest. I will use this company when I need work for my house.

Dear Member Thank you again for the very nice review. For anyone who wants to read what actually transpired, here is the messaging that took place through the Angie's List Message Center. We encourage anyone who wants an honest opinion without the pressure of having the be forced to buy something they don't need to contact us. I have always found it comforting to know that there are businesses out there that actually "CARE" about their clients and believe we are one of those businesses. """""[Member Name Removed]12/2/2015 I have crack in my wall that getting bigger every year. Is this something I should worry about ? Is this expensive to fix ? Premier HomePro (240) 223-703412/4/2015 Steve Thanks for reaching out. YOUR QUESTION: I have crack in my wall that getting bigger every year. Is this something I should worry about ? Is this expensive to fix ? Is best answered by saying, "it depends on what is causing the crack." If the crack is growing wider and there is a gap of more than 1/8th of an inch, I would say that yes, you have a problem. If its the only crack in the entire house and there are no uneven door jambs, everything seems level and the walls aren't sinking, you're probably ok. If however, you have noticed sinking floors, sinking walls, door frames that are slanted, windows or doors that no longer open due to them sticking because the openings are shifting, then you need to call a contractor. If you just want a crack in your drywall repaired and the wall painted, we can do that for you. Its your call. Alan Stevens [Member Name Removed]12/4/2015 Thank you for your detail information. Your information was very helpful even I don't have door or window around this wall. However I do not see a gap. I will discuss with my husband and I will contact with you if we do believe that need urgent care. I will comment your help on Angies List. Thank you. Premier HomePro really did a great job and helped me out tremendously! We had an aweful issue with a extreemly smelly sump pump. After having several folks take a look at the issue and not being able to identify the problem he and his staff were able to identify it and fix it in just 3 days! The issue was a cracked pipe what was leaking water and residue from our kitchen sink, dishwasher, and garbage disposal into the sump pump. This was an amazing help and our basement and home are smell free!!! Besides they did a top notch job on patching some leaks in our roof and do some drywall work. They also did a great job installing a new gas fireplace. He was able to identify that we would be better off with a "ventless" unit, that was also a big help. Great work, nice guy, very reasonable. Give him a call and you wont be disappointed!!! -Kevin

THANK YOU FOR SUCH A FINE REVIEW! Yes, your basement did have a bit of a swampy smell when we arrived and the problem became obvious when we investigated it. The other issues you listed were quickly addressed and we are so pleased that you are happy with the final results of our endeavors,. I'd like to take this opportunity to expound a little about out company and our philosophy, We are a "ONE STOP SHOP" for all our our clients repair and remodeling needs. We know from being consumers ourselves, that more often than not, a service provider who specializes in only one thing will let us down by not doing the WHOLE JOB. An example of that is a plumber or electrician who repairs some wiring or a leaky pipe and leaves holes throughout the home. When we do work in a client;s home, not only do we do the actual work, but we repair everything but also patch and paint; leaving the home in beautiful condition. On larger projects like additions, kitchen and bath design and remodeling, or whole home remodeling, we create beautiful designs, assist the client in product selection, disassemble and remodel the project at hand and create beautiful living spaces for our clients. No two projects are the same but the end result is almost always the same.............its finished 100% to our client's expectations and we earn high marks in each category for a job well done. Thank you again for hiring our firm to do this work in your home and thank you for the excellent review on Angie's List.

Premier HomePro was professional from the beginning. I left a message and received a call back the same day. Scheduling of the estimate had a very quick turn around. Mr. Matthews is a very nice and pleasant man that works with you and provides details of what the job will entail. Once the contract was signed, we were off to look at countertops and tiles! His crew is professional and trustworthy. I had no problem with providing them with keys to come and go as needed. The paint job was excellent, they smoothed out all the bumps and uneven spots (even though that was NOT in my contract). Mr. Matthews decided not to charge me extra for that :) . In the end, the countertops and backsplash came out GREAT!! I love my new contemporary kitchen.

Once again - A HOME RUN! We received a message on Angie's List from this client and as per company policy got back to her immediately and set a time to meet. Her goal was to do a face lift on her aging kitchen so we got right on it. A few weeks later, the project was 100% complete and we are adding another very happy person to our wide range of clients. Premier HomePro PRIDES ourselves on doing a great. As we move into 2016, we would like to thank this client and all of the clients we have had that have made this yet another fantastic year for our firm. We grew every year during the recession and every year since its near ly ended. This past month we added a full service electrical division and are continuing our expansion into that market as well. I am not allowed to disclose this member's name, but Ms. Member, we thank you so much for being such an easy client to work with and hope you enjoy your new kitchen for years to come, Best. Premier Homepro began working on my remodeling project the day after the contract was signed. Premier Homepro assigned a full team of workers to work on 3 bathrooms simultaneously to minimize construction time. On day one, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers were on the job. Remodeling entailed complete demolition of all 4 bathrooms and the installation of marble or ceramic tile and all new fixtures. Exhaust fans were added or upgraded in all bathrooms and lighting was upgraded. Premier Homepro designed a stylish new master bathroom with marble floors and walls, wainscoting, recessed shelves, enlarged frame-less shower, and a free-standing Roman tub enhanced by a recessed ceiling and cove lighting, The quality of the tile work was outstanding. Workers came every day until the job was completed. All the bathrooms are beautiful. Premier Homepro demonstrated a commitment and professionalism that is rare in the remodeling business. Premier Homepro was on-site frequently to review the work. Premier Homepro demanded excellence from the work team and did not hesitate to redo something that was not to their standard. Even after the project was completed and fully paid, Premier Homepro returned to correct every issue I had (all very minor). Their commitment to my satisfaction was evident throughout the project. I would not hesitate to recommend Premier Homepro.

Thank you for the fine review. We could not have executed the project any better than we did. This client had a real problem. She had nearly 4 whole bathrooms that needed remodeling all at the same time. From our first appointment to completion, she was taken care of the whole way through. We will be posting pictures of the work. The bathrooms are awesome using HGTV style contemporary, not uber modern design. Marble accented by white and grey with wainscot paneling with chair rail accent the borders and dark cabinetry with marble tops just make one of the bathrooms shine with beauty. The frameless glass for the shower enclosure is an especially nice touch. We are so pleased you are happy and cannot thank you enough for this fine review! See above. Anytime I've called any Angie's List-recommended service provider when there was a big promotion going on, I couldn't even reach them. Sometimes their answering machine took my call, othertimes I couldn't even get through.
Description of Work: For several weeks we played telephone tag. Then when I finally reached him he said that they wouldn't make custom shelving for shoes and such unless they were permanently anchored to the wall. Their policy forbids making any shelving units unless they're anchored to the wall. I said "This isn't California. This isn't earthquake country and even in California, where I used to live, they don't have regulations like that." I asked him if it was because of liability and he said "yes". I replied that in that case every single furniture seller would be liable if anything fell over on a customer, which is ridiculous. So because I don't want my walls defaced I didn't have him come out.

Premier HomePro has earned the Angie's List Super Service Award for the years: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016 and at the rate we are going, anticipate we will continue to deliver exceptional services to our clients and earn it again in 2017! Thank you for reading this rebuttal. It seems the only clients that give us less than great reviews are the ones we do not actually do work for. Brian served as the designer, choosing the fixtures, doors, cabinet design and location of all items in the bathroom. He acted as a general contractor providing on-site supervision and instruction for teams of workers. From the inception of the project, Mr. Matthews, was an effective salesman assisting me in the best product selection to achieve the right look for the bathroom. He was personable, sincere and seemed to care about my mother who is 97. Also, he had a most reasonable price. The job was difficult in that the room to be renovated was a pantry built partially over a stone foundation, with a rotting window frame and rotting wall studs. The existing room had metal cabinets filled with junk and affixed to the walls. Brian made arrangements for a trash vendor to haul away the cabinets and bags and bags of trash. The house is over 100 years old. The plumbing, I'm told was the most difficult because the concrete floor had to be jackhammered and all new pipes installed. The walls had to be insulated and reinforced because during demolition, it was discovered that the walls were deteriorated, An electric heater was installed to give heat in winter and it and other appliances required new circuit breakers. The work site was left clean inside and on the outside property. I was almost in daily contact (about 1 month) with Brian who did most of the calling to see if we were satisfied with the progress and the outcome. The work was performed in Rockville and I live in Prince George County and was not able to do a daily observation of most of the work. We are completely satisfied with the work and appreciate the effort and long hours that were put into the project.
Description of Work: Brian Matthews, partner in HomePro, installed and transformed a pantry into a bathroom in my mother's 100 year-old house in Rockville, MD.

The whole process was very easy and Brian Williams was great to work with. The workers were fantastic and very nice. We had a couple of additional things to repair (joists, drywall replacement) which just comes with working on an older home. Brian had the workers fix everything even on a tight timeline. It all turned out wonderful! Brian was always available for questions and stopped by the site frequently.

This is the 4 project on my house and Premier HomePro is the 4th contractor. To say I?m finicky is an understatement. Brian and his team will be the contractor on the next 3 future projects without question. We painted siding and brick, put on a new roof, remodeled the portico, laid a flagstone walkway, repointed existing flagstone patio, put up new shutters, all new landscaping and landscape lights. Everyone on the street has made a point to stop bye and tell us how beautiful the house looks. The entire process was easy and enjoyable with Brian. I got bids from 4 contractors and Brian was the first to respond. After viewing all of the bids all we decided to go with Brian for many reasons but mostly because he is an artist. Throughout the project his artistic side really helped put the final detail touches on our house that makes it shine. From start to finish the project went as planned and on budget. His workers were on time and the workmanship was stellar. Enjoyable process and fantastic results.

My wife and I are very happy with all of the finished work. There were some hiccups along the way--things done not quite right--but when I raised these issues with Brian Matthews, he promptly corrected the issues. For example, the fence post height and the fence board pattern weren't correct, initially, but Brian had his carpenters deconstruct the work they had done and re-do it exactly as we wanted it. Our only complaint, and it's a relatively minor one, is that the project didn't move along as quickly as we had hoped. Much of this was NOT the fault of Matthews Construction--it was the fault of incredibly rainy weather in June. But once the weather did improve, we learned that the patio pavers we had picked out weeks earlier had not yet been ordered and took more than a week to be delivered. And when they were delivered, there weren't enough to complete our patio, which resulted in another week delay as more pavers were ordered. But again, this is a minor complaint and we're very happy with the finished work.
Description of Work: We originally contacted Premier HomePro for estimates on a long list of projects, including a patio installation, exterior painting, fence building and a flagstone walkway installation. We ended up connected contracting with Premier HomePro's partner company, Matthews Construction to have all of these projects completed and are very happy with the finished work.

We are pleased to have clients like this one who do the best job they can to send in reviews as accurately as they perceive them, We did in fact have rain delays but the original materials were ordered the day we received the agreement. When we found that the original estimate was slightly deficient, we ordered additional materials but the vendor took a few days on their end to actually place the order with the manufacturer. Overall, we both found the experience to be mutually beneficial and we are so happy that the job was completed to their satisfaction.

A few years ago, we met the guys from Premier HomePro at a Home Remodeling Show where there were at least 150 vendors. There were companies selling everything under the sun there ranging from doors and windows to solar power. Our intention was to find a highly skilled, reputable company that would do projects in stages in our home due to the financial consideration associated with the size and scope of the work we needed accomplished. The projects got placed on hold for a few years after the onset of the recession. It was important to wait to see exactly what would ultimately happen to home values in our neighborhood. After waiting for a period of time, we pulled out the file of business cards and brochures that we had gathered at the show and started calling around to get estimates. Many of the people we had spoken to had either left their company or the company had folded during the recession. When we called Premier HomePro they were still in business and according to the owner, they had grown every year. He asked showed me their Angie's List Ratings and we were sold. After calling a few references who had done similar work done in their homes, we agreed on our design selections and the price of the agreement. From start to finish on phase 1, they met or exceeded our expectations. The old kitchen was dated and worn out. The kitchen they designed and installed sparkles with beauty and is near flawless in design and installation. We did everything from new floors, walls and ceilings to electrical, plumbing, tile, cabinets, appliances and counters. The backsplash design is incredible and the range hood is the focal point of the open concept we have in our first floor. During phase 2, Premier Homepro removed two bathrooms and expanded the master bathroom. They put recessed lights in our family room and ran new plumbing up to the second floor to meet the requirements of the shower that has body sprayers in it. Highlights: All of the finishes are finely installed. The tile work is beautiful and the entire kitchen reflects the look and design we dreamed of! We highly recommend Premier HomePro to anyone who wants to have any type of remodeling project done right the first time. Our wait was well worth the time and the due diligence we put into researching this company. In return, we are posting this review for the outstanding work they did in our home. Thank you Premier HomePro and Alan Stevens. We are forever grateful for you living up to your word and your reputation.

Thank you for the kind and gracious review. Just a small correction and that is that the master bathroom remodeling project was $27,000 and the kitchen was substantially more making the total of the two projects almost $80,000. Alan presented us with a few design plans and the one we selected for the kitchn plan included knocking out a bearing wall to enlarge the space and create a more open concept. It was a little more expensive because it required a structural engineer, an architect and a kitchen designer, but it was really worth it in the long run. Once the work commenced, they were there every day without fail. The men removed the wall, ran new electrical circuits and plumbing lines, moved the duct work, floor and sub floor. When it was totally stripped out, the carpenters straightened out the old walls, reinforced the ceiling with a new header and put recessed lights and pendent lights in for the new kitchen layout. Our design called for the installation of a large range vent hood and that took 4 men to install due to the weight. We doubled the size of our kitchen and placed an island right where the wall was removed and that also needed new electrical circuits. The project went pretty smoothly with the exception of a few items associated with the age of the house, but the project manager quickly found solutions which made sense and we all agreed to after reviewing all the options. Once all the internal pieces were installed and the walls and ceilings were leveled out, they went to town putting in the drywall, cabinets and fixtures. Their designer did a wonderful job with texture and color coordination and now we have an awesome kitchen that is the focal point of our home and the center of everything we do in the house. The porch was a very large project that I had tried to tackle myself but most of it was overhead and reaching overhead for hours at a time was killing my back. I gained a new appreciation for the type of work that carpenters do and turned the remainder of the porch over to the guys at PHP. Within a week, all the old paint was scraped, the bad wood was replaced, the new steps were sent in concrete and they painted it with three coats of exterior paint. We had to upgrade the rail to meet the latest codes but it integrates seamlessly into the existing look and design. We are extremely pleased with the level of professionalism and speed that Brian and Alan showed us during this project from beginning to end. We highly recommend Premier HomePro to anyone who needs home remodeling and are currently talking to them about remodeling out old bathrooms and master bedroom. Nice job all around
Description of Work: I hired Premier HomePro to remodel both my kitchen and refinish the wrap around porch of my victorian home built more than 100 years ago. The kitchen had a mid 1950s look to it (probably the last time it was remodeled) and the front porch was falling apart.

One of our top notch teams of carpenters went right to work to repair this client's exterior issue. During the process we identified that the water had caused a bunch of wood rot and there was a mold issue. Once identified, we instructed the client exactly what we would have to do to correct it and finished out the project expeditiously. The final result looks amazing! We really appreciate the opportunity to work with you and thank you so very much for this kind review. Premier HomePro has talented tradesmen who do both interior and exterior carpentry. This past week we have rebuilt both this client's window as well as design and build an awesome front portico for another client in DC. Brian Matthews supported and helped me think through the entire process, including options given to meet my tight budget. He helped me work through the design in order to use the space most aesthetically and efficiently. Every subcontractor used for carpentry, electrical and plumbing was kind, helpful and highly skilled. They often worked while I was out of the house and I fully trusted them with the key to my house. Brian regularly checked in to get my feedback regarding progress made that day. Premier Home Pro's extraordinary craftsmanship and all around professionalism made this process fun and stress-free. I HIGHLY recommend them.
Description of Work: Premier HomePro did an extraordinary job renovating my basement. They gutted the old basement, upgraded electrical wiring, moved, installed and vented washer & dryer, framed new bathroom, closet and kitchenette, installed new trim, doors, lighting and flooring, painted and installed new bathroom and kitchenette. In addition, they installed exterior lighting and built concrete stairs for a safer entry to backyard. Premier HomePro and Matthews Construction and design are operating together. Super responsive, professional and easy to work with. Premier Homepro did a great job on my home renovation several years ago and I really trust them. I called Alan about the plumbing leak on Saturday and within a couple of days the plumber was in, found the source of the leak (not related to the renovation work, in case you are wondering) and fixed it. They also found the mold, which is not good news but at least I know it will be taken care of properly.
Description of Work: Located and repaired a plumbing leak. Before patching the walls, noticed that there was mold growing inside. Fortunately, they have the certifications and experience to eradicate the mold. Coming back next week to finish the job.

This was one of our many repeat customers calling us back because they know any project or service call is in good hands with Premier HomePro. We received the call on midday Saturday and Monday morning the men were at her house to repair a plumbing leak from a second story bathroom. We had to open up a first floor ceiling to repair the main drain with the thought that we would just seal it up and repaint. We consider ourselves to be solution providers which means when we open up a ceiling or wall we also repair and paint; not like some companies who only do the repair and leave the rest of the mess for the homeowner to patch and paint. After doing a visual inspection, we discovered mold and with the homeowner's permission, we entered into an addendum to the agreement and will proceed with the mold remediation this week. We thank you for being such a great client and hope you will call on us for years to come. Guaranteed we will be there for all your home remodeling or service needs. Call Premier HomePro today and you will receive a call back from me, Alan Stevens, President of Premier Homepro. We still have not lost our small, client focused touch! First of three reviews: As a real estate professional, I have seen the good, the bad and well, lets not even go there in both renovation projects and new home construction. A year or so ago, I met Mr. Alan Stephens who is a licensed residential remodeling contractor. During the course the discussion, I told him of our plans to remodel a few of our rental properties over the course of the year to bring in additional revenues. Mr. Stevens and I reviewed his Angie's List ratings and he gave us a reference list of over 60 references. Being a little OCD, I called at least 30 of them and more than 80% of them called me back. To my surprise, this company has scores of extremely happy clients that they have developed over the years. That speaks volumes to me. Consistency is the key to long term success. We agreed to take it slow and let them remodel the worst of my properties to start and settled on a budget range. This property is not in the best of locations so I did not want to overspend. Knowing that there were more coming, he agreed to a slightly discounted rate for the first project. On day one, his men beat me to the home and were parked in the driveway waiting for me to unlock the home. I opened the door and put a key box on it for the remainder of the renovation. What took place on day one astounded us! They pulled out the carpet, the kitchen, the hall bathroom and all the nasty trim and bad drywall. They filled a full dumpster on the first day and we ordered a second. By the end of the week, all the demo was done, the new electrical was in and so was the new plumbing and the insulation in our attic. The site manager Rick was amazing and kept me informed each and every day of that day's progress. Within 6 weeks, my home was ready for the final inspection and it was completed after just two minor adjustments were made to the finishes. I think it was more of an inspector issue than a contractor issue but regardless of where the fault originated, both issues were addressed and we passed with flying colors two days later. So, the first project went exceptionally well and we gave them a time line for projects two and three. I give them As all around except for price. They were a little pricey at first and it wasn't until I dangled the carrot that we were able to get a discount. I know that no one works for free and that things cost money, but a lady can still ask right? Review number two coming later on.

Dear Angies List Members. This is always my turn to address a member in this forum so, why not say a few things to lay the groundwork. The homeowners met us nearly a year ago outside of Angie's List. When i told them about our ratings, they became instantly interested and let it slip out that they had a number of projects over the next few years and that the first one was in a rental property that was pretty banged up. They were right. It was a mess. Knowing that they would not be easy to please, we went right to the design phase, before the contract phase and selected all the different aspects of the project so we could price it accordingly. Yes, they got a discount. She was a tough cookie and had to get something off the price so we took a few % points off and sealed the deal. Everything went rather smoothly until the building inspector found a few items that were left unfinished by the electrician and not caught by us but hours after the inspection, they were repaired and we passed the final inspection a few days later. The house was so well done that I believe it rented in a few days and the tenants are very happy. We had to go back to do some warranty work on the dishwasher two months later. We offer a 2 year warranty on labor and extend the manufactures warranty to the client who always has the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty during the purchase. Some do and some don't but in the case of a rental property, we always encourage it. Tenants have the worst problems keeping things in working order! We are grateful, so very grateful for this kind review and hope to see some new reviews up in a few months as we complete the 2nd and 3rd projects for them. The next projects are both smaller but just as important. More later from us both. Let's see how consistant we are with a very good client. Thank you again for allowing us this opportunity. Fully remodeled our rental property in Florida. We own a mid 1980s home in Florida that had become run down over the years. The kitchen and bathrooms were old and dingy, the floors were covered with carpet, and the exterior was in serious need of repair and paint. Alan Stevens from Premier HomePro visited us a few months ago. We had seen other contractors that did not measure up, did not send out a proposal or simply did not show for their scheduled appointment. Frustrated and eager to get the job done, we selected Premier HomePro to do the job. Their planning process is simply and without a doubt amazing. The project manager Brian Matthews went right to work getting the designs done for us to see. We went right into selections of cabinets, fixtures, lighting and created an open floor plan to update that nasty 80s look. It had bothered us for years and although we had ideas, we could not do the remodeling project until the value of the home went up to justify it. The construction phase had its challenges with some wood destroying insects, a few electrical issues that were identified after the demolition phase but the company's project manager Brian Matthews handled it well, explaining everything to us and showing us the problem. We really did not want to risk having future issues and they priced the additional work appropriately. During the project, we were so pleased with their skills that we added at least 7 additional items like enlarging the master bedroom closet, an interior paint job, laminate flooring, a new HVAC heat pump, new insulation and and a new hot water heater. They pulled the permits, got the installations done fast and passed all the final inspections but one. Ours! No just kidding here. They passed ours each and every day. The one thing that Alan explained to us is that its like buying anything. Even Mercedes Benz and BMWs have issues. He guaranteed me that if anything arose that did not meet our expectations or if anything came in damaged, they would get right on it. The cabinet delivery company delivered the kitchen cabinets and some came in damaged. He quickly responded and we had replacements within 7 days. That's a very short time when compared to the 6 weeks we waited for them to be built at the plant. Overall the experience was a 4.8 out of 5. Our only concern was that we did not get anything for free.... but who does these days! Oh, my wife just read the review. It seems the flowers on the dining room table were not from me, but from Premier HomePro. OK, I will give them one more 10th of a point and make it 4.9 out of 5. Thanks for a job very well done. We have already referred you to our neighbor down the street who needs a new deck.

Yes, the flowers were from us! Your wife was wonderful to work with. The cold sodas and water she provided us each day were a nice bonus so we thought we would return the favor and send her a nice bouquet since she had to put up with a few months of construction right in the main living areas of the home. We are very proud of the work we did there and thank you for the referral, Your neighbor wants to see the work we did one more time and is confident he will select us to work in his home also. We are currently identifying the composite for the decking material with them and have sent them a few samples. It is our goal from start to finish to provide each and every client with a very nice client experience, provide top quality trades people and a finely finished product that will be the envy of the neighborhood. In your case, that dingy 80s look was replaced with a current, timeless look that will be popular for years to come. Not too trendy and elegant. We appreciate your tiime, your patronage and your business. Thank you for being such a great client. Allen personally flew back from Florida to visit with my Wife & I. He brought Andre; one of his foremans along with him. Great Experience!...Very informative! He gave us some really good advice as to how to make the most of our budget...he wasnt just trying to sell a job but offer an honest opinion on what direction he thought would benefit our family. I am dealing with the insurance company currently because we had a major water damage claim after our 3rd floor bathroom flooded all the way to the basement. Allen has been in constant contact with me and even went as far as sending me a reference list for me to be prepared for the adjuster and how they operate. This whole orderal has been a real eye-opening experience for the Wife & I. I can honestly say Alan is a real class act who cares about people not just making $! He has made the stress of this project seem like no big deal! Can't wait to get this project rolling! Pictures and another review coming upon completion!

Thanks for the review sir! Here's the bottom line with this situation. The Owner's had a flood in a rather OLD, (pre 1978, with lead based paint in it) row home in Baltimore County from their 2rd floor bathroom. The living room, kitchen, stairwell to the basement and finished basement were flooded and got moldy inside the walls. When the Owner contacted their insurance company, the adjuster did an on-site claim review and recommended three remediation companies and three remodeling companies to the Owner (s), Their first step was to get rid of the damage and then find a company to rebuild the home. They selected a service provider to remove the damaged walls, ceilings and flooring and did not implement the EPA guidelines for lead based paint removal. The Owner did not know that they had lead based paint and has been living in a home with his wife and children that is now covered with lead particles from the removal of 100s of square feet of painted drywall. We visited with the Owners in early July and toured the home. Andre Hunter, one of our Senior project managers noticed three things: 1) the home had old tile that was moldy and may have had asbestos in it 2) the painted walls were probably painted at some time with lead based paint 3) there was mold growing in the walls that the remediation did not tear out. Insurance companies pay adjusters to give out the bare minimum the homeowner will settle for; not necessarily what the job costs. This family was only provided with a quote for $15,000 which would not have covered much of anything. In addition, the three service providers that the adjuster recommended had terrible Angies List Reviews. No wonder they are doing insurance work. They can't get work any other way than cheap due to their quality and reputation. In summary, this family was living in a danger zone. I instructed them to place an emergency call to the insurance company, demand that they are granted funds to get an extended hotel to reside in, have a lead based paint company do the remediation properly and demand that the moldy drywall be removed, All of this would require additional funds right? Of course. So, the insurance company, now knowing that they are in serious trouble sent out a new, senior adjuster, to revise the claim. The EPA requires that lead based paint that is any greater that 5 square feet, be remediated by only a lead based paint certified contractor and there are stiff penalties for any company that does that work without the certification. Lead based paint may be found in any home built before 1978. The fine for removing lead based paint without a certification is $34,500 a DAY! Yes, per day. WIth all of this new information, the Owner (s) met with the new adjuster who agreed that they were given a bad deal by the first person and is rewriting the claim. The family is staying in a hotel and as soon as we get the proper numbers, we will start work, placing their needs above other projects we had considered. No one likes to be displaced for months while waiting for the contractor to start. We will get right on it and get their home in better shape than it was in prior to the water damage. They can count on us. Alan Stevens, President, Premier HomePro

The job was done quickly and with great attention to detail. This was a property that basically needed everything done to it. These guys expertly refinished the wood floors, new kitchen including appliances and new counter-tops. High quality painting all over the house, as well as patch work and painting on the cement front porch. New railings, lights and light fixtures, new A/C systems, new bathroom fixtures and design. Overall the workmanship was excellent. The best way to describe my experience is that the job was done right. It was hard to recognize the house from before to after.

Allan handled everything from electrical to plumbing, to drywall and trim, etc. I was amazed at the quality! I left to go out of town for three weeks, and when I got back it was done; it far exceeded my expectations. The company brought the whole job in not only on time but at just under the original estimate. I can't say enough about this company and Allan Stevens; I never thought that I would deal with such good service in this day and age. What I have grown to expect is poor craftsmanship and higher than anticipated costs. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. I would recommend Premier Home Pro to anyone looking to have construction done on their home. They left the job cleaner than it was when they started and I expect to have many years of joy from my newly remodeled house. Thanks Premier Home Pro and thank you Angie's List. We have always loved working with clients like this one! From day one, we had only one thing in mind - total client satisfaction on all levels. Mr and Ms Owner, (since Angie's List bans us from saying their names) were delightful to work with. Evidently, they had had some bad experiences previously with contractors who did not meet their needs so we discussed the client's concerns and agreed to make this experience the best they could have. After we agreed on the scope of work and detailed out the finishes for their kitchen, two bathrooms and the wine cellar (and some other odds and ends) we went straight to work with the permit and demolition phase. The clients realizing that they would be displaced due to the large amount of work, stayed at a family member's home until we delivered the final product. That really made life easy for everyone. I recommend that for larger projects, the client find alternative living space. Its very hard on a family to live in a construction site. When you watch most of the HGTV shows, you will note that the clients never live in the home while the project is underway. ' Anyway, the demo went off without a hitch. Our trade partners quickly did the electrical and plumbing, got their inspections done and we went right into the rebuild stage delivering the client a finished project on time and on budget! I can't emphasize enough how easy this client was to work with. We found a few items that might have cost more but the client was flexible enough to make changes in other areas that enabled us to bring the project in on time and on budget! I love it when a project comes together easily and efficiently. Thank your being such a great client to work with. We are looking forward to our next project with you in the fall; landscaping the exterior and putting in a paver walkway and patio. ENJOY YOUR NEW KITCHEN AND BATHROOM!

Premier HomePro provided superior work along with excellent customer service. The home needed a complete makeover and Premier went above and beyond in every category. Everyone that contributed to the project, along with the owner of the Company, Alan Stevens, was courteous, hard working, timely, and was a pleasure to be around. The overall timeline of the project was met and I was updated constantly throughout the process. We were made aware of possible delays and given options on how to proceed. I would recommend Premier HomePro to anyone considering renovating, no matter the size of the job.

Thanks so very much for the great review! We knew this was going to be a challenging project but together with your communication skills combined with our excellent on-site leadership, we worked it all out and the final project looks amazing. I can't believe how nicely it came together. From start to finish, you were just the type of client we love to work with. You understood that things are not always perfect in older homes and that sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances behind walls and ceilings. That being said, with our built-in commitment to be on time and on budget, you were able to make a few substitutions rather than pay extra and still get nearly everything you wanted (and a little more from us since you were so easy to work with!) I was very satisfied with the work done. My bathroom shower looks so much better and I have piece of mind knowing that the job was done right. Thank you so much for the glowing review! We are proud of Andre Hunter, our project supervisor and have had the pleasure of employing him for many years. Matthews Design and Construction and Premier HomePro are basically the same company. Brian Matthews has been working with Premier HomePro since 2010 but Brian and I have known each other since I worked for his uncle in 1977. Together, Brian, Andre and I have earned many very high ratings on Angie's List. The reason Mr. Mathews is running the show at this moment is that I am in Florida recovering from back surgery. We three are all veterans and I am disabled. Recently, I had back surgery and got MRSA while undergoing surgery and had 23 days in the hospital and 10 weeks of IV antibiotics. I am still recovering and Brian and Andre are running the show while I recover. Hope to be back soon to visit all the great work they have been doing in my absence. Thank you Brian and Andre for carrying the load while I am gone. Thank you to the client for allowing us to earn your business. We hope to do many more bathroom remodeling projects this year. To any reader of this reply, we strive hard to make each and every client feel like family and thank you in advance for the opportunity to provide you with a free consultation for any home improvement project. We have earned the Angie's List Super Service Award 4 of the past 5 years which places us as one of Angie's List top providers in the country.
