Nationwide Handyman

They were fine. They took care of what I needed them to take care of. I didn’t have any problems. With regard to quality, what they did was minor.

Project was completed in a timely manner. Company owner is very knowledgeable and office staff returns call promptly. Carpenter excellent. Not much power washing was needed because paint was used instead of stain.

Repairs were done when promised. The workers were efficient and friendly.

I was explained my options. I never felt pressured. Donnie was easy to work with & always reliable.

The painters did an excellent job. They arrived when they said they would, were very careful not to get paint on furniture, etc., and did a great job with the drywall repair. The house looked like new when they were done.

i am remiss in not getting this review out in a timely fashion. i really enjoyed the whole experience. i thought them a little pricey but worth every penny. the workmanship is superb. they worked with me to design the bathroom of my dreams. they got the debris out so fast and efficiently that i couldnt find a scrap in the room after the first day of demolition. i bought some of the fixtures that i found on line and they didnt give me any grief about that. and subtracted from the estimate the amount they estimated for the fixtures they would have included. and, unexpectedly, i was very comfortable with those men in my house. and they were nice to my pets. so i am getting ready for another job and thinking of them.

They started work on time, and pretty much kept to schedule. There were a couple of glitches, but that's not unusual for a job like this, and they were corrected promptly. Bottom line is that they did an excellent job, and I'm very pleased with the result -- I've basically got a like new and well insulated house. I definitely will use them again. Thanks to contractor Dominic and Lisa, Alvi who did the tiling, Alexis who did the cabinets, the electricians, the plumber, the paint crew, the window installers -- they all did a superb job.

A piece of the siding on the roof line of my townhouse was blown off during a very windy thunderstorm. I attempted to get up to the roof and repair it, but it was just too high for me. I called roofing & siding companies on Angie's List and no one could really help me unless they installed the siding or I wanted a new roof. I moved on to inquire with handyman companies and Nationwide Handyman responded to my call! The entire experience, from the estimate to the completion of the work was a very good experience. I received the confirmation email for the estimate appointment from Lisa. Dominic arrived on time and was very nice to work with. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in going over the finer points of the estimate. Prior to scheduling the date of the work, I received an email letting me know that they were going over the schedule and asked if I had any preferred dates for the work to be done. I was really appreciative of this since I did have a vacation scheduled within the indicated time frame. The handyman showed up on time as scheduled and performed all of the agreed upon work. He was polite, fast and clean. It was a very good experience. No complaints. I will use them again in the future!

Although the work they did was good: caulking and general work in our house , they showed up almost two hours late without letting us know. Finding someone on the phone was impossible, too . We won't use them again , especially since they cost more money than other handymen by far.

Everyone who worked on this project was very dependable, professional and completely trustworthy. I am very happy with the result and my bathroom looks wonderful!

The painters did a great job. They were very careful and thorough with both the prep work and painting. They did an excellent job removing the existing wallpaper and prepping the walls before painting. My house looks wonderful. I'm very happy with everyone at Nationwide.

It went extremely well. Everyone at Nationwide is very friendly and professional. The contractor (Irwin) was very meticulous and did everything with the same care he would have as if working on his own home. Our house was built in 1960, and the job was more complicated than expected. We're very pleased.

My bathroom really needed a remodel. Dominic at Nationwide Handyman came out to give me an estimate. He spent a lot of time with me explaining all my options and giving me a lot of good advice. When I decided to do the remodel, he spent another couple of hours at the tile store, where we picked out the wall and floor tile. Then he and his wife, Lisa, came out and spent another couple of hours deciding on the details of fixtures and vanity. They also accommodated my special requests -- for example, I wanted a high capacity, but quiet, ceiling fan that had both a light and a heater. They came up with a NuTone fan 110 cfm, 0..9 Sones that had the heater, light, and also a night light! Their handyman, Alvi, showed up promptly at the appointed time to start the work. Dominic also stopped by every day to check on the progress and sometimes to deliver some materials. Alvi is a skilled professional and did most of the work, including the wall and floor tiling. They did have plumbers come in to install the new tub, electricians to install the ceiling fan, and painters to paint the part of the walls which were not covered with tile. I was particularly impressed by the painters who not only did a nice paint job, but were careful to contain the dust produced when sanding the wallboard after skim coating it (they did a glass-like smooth skim coat, by the way). Last, but not least, Alvi did a beautiful tile job -- all the joints are perfectly aligned, the layout is perfectly centered so that there are no unusually small pieces of tile, and the left and right edges of every section of wall look perfectly symmetrical. It really looks good! Alvi did such a beatiful job even while having to cope with an uneven wall (bowed in about an inch at its deepest point). He also had to deal with an unlevel floor -- because of this, it turns out that I have a full inch of cement board underlayment on the floor instead of the 1/2" originally proposed. To sum up, the bathroom now looks beautiful, Nationwide Handyman did an excellent job at a good price, I'm very pleased with the result, and I will definitely use them again.

The gentleman who did the work was very pleasant and professional. He even made 2 trips to stores to locate the proper vents. He did a great job and cleaned up the site beautifully. I was extremely pleased with the job and the whole experience.

Phenomenal - he accomplished what our window company could not. I'd use them again in a nano-second! We are in no way connected with them other than a satisfied client.

I had used them in the past to do work in my house. They did a lovely job inside my house. In 2005/2006 they did some painting and put up some crown molding. Everything was clean and nothing got damaged. I called them recently for an estimate for some water damage. They were the 2nd highest estimate. We had asked questions on options to see if there was a way to save money. The email response was more in line with telling me I was just wrong and there were no options, their way was the right way. The way they responded was more blunt than it needed to be.

Dominic had done work for me before so I knew he did great work. He came over & measured and set up the install which went smooth as silk. He made it all easy.

they showed up on time and were pleasant enough. but i had sticker shock. he also talked me into a few things that i really didn't need. but even if i factor those items out, i still feel the estimate is very high. however, he did itemize - which made it easier to compare him to other estimates from other handymen.

Our experience with the installation of the wiring for a ceiling fan was excellent. Nationwide Handyman accomplished a job in- 5 hours that would have taken my husband 5 weekends. They also cleaned up well.

The individual was on time and very professional for the estimate. I plan on hiring them for the work.

They came on time to do the estimate. The cost was very reasonable. They showed up on time, did a great job. I thought that the price was very reasonable for the work they did. I will most definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

One of the best experience i have ever had with a Handyman organization, and i have found my favorite to be Nationwide Handyman.

I called Dominic on Monday...I needed someone who fix a leaky toilet and a few other things (like caulking around the tub). He told me he could be at my house, Wednesday morning at 8:30. At around 9 (about half an hour late) on Wednesday I called him and he made some lame excuse about his system not being able to handle 8:30 appointments. He did say he was just around the corner and would be there soon and he was (within a few minutes of my call). However, then he gave the great news that he was there just to give me an estimate, he didn?t do the repairs himself and he would have to schedule the actual repairs some other day. Not a word of this was said when I originally talked to him, even when I indicated I needed someone quickly. Had he been up front about how he runs his operation, he would have saved both of us time and me having to scramble to find an emergency repair man for the toilet.

6/8 - Mr. Santopietro is correct, we are dealing with an older home that has it's own quirks. We are still working out the details and he is being very paitent with me concerning all my questions - and I know there are many. This is an important attribute in a contractor and I highly recommend him, especially if you are contractor weary. I look forward to working with him. 5/3 - I sought out Nationwide Handyman because of the positive reviews on Angie's List, research on the internet, Nationwide's website, BBB and Montgomery County Consumer Affairs as well as their website saying no job is too small. I wanted someone who was appropriately licensed even though I am looking for handyman services. I wasn't sure if something more substantial would be uncovered. I initially e-mailed them through their website. A couple days later I followed up with a phone call and spoke to a very nice woman who told me upfront that there was a $300 minimum which I appreciated. She took my information and suggested I schedule a free estimate instead of simply having someone sent out to do the work. I was able to get an appointment the same week. Dominic Santopietro came out to do the estimate. He told me not to worry about the $300 minimum at this time. We discussed my immediate and future needs. Although the failure of my bathroom fan is what made me call them, I discussed if we could replace it with a different type and separate the heat lamp element. He said he would check to see if it could be done. At the end he said he would prepare an estimate and e-mail it to me. It has been a week and I haven't received it yet but I'm hoping he will follow through.
